What's a game that tries to be funny and actually succeeds?
Armed & Dangerous
Populous the Beginning (sending people flying, watching Braves running around screaming at Bees, Lightning, fire, etc always gets a grin out of me
Everything written by Tim Schafer up to and including Brutal Legend (Grim Fandango especially)
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, in a very Strike Commando-y way.
Deadly Premonition (unintentionally)
Vampire : Bloodlines
youtube the radio station if you have some time to kill
That game had a Madworld reference
It was written by the same team, which explains why that game was better written than most Sonic games Also that team were also the creators of Happy Tree Friends
The More You Know~
>over two years since the Barkley 2 Kickstarter
Can't wait for a new minigame to delay development!
I had really low expectations for this game and was pleasantly surprised by how good the writing was. There were a few cringy parts but on the whole, I thought it was pretty funny and actually laughed once or twice.
funniest game i've ever played ez
I regret not having finished but damn, that was so unexpected, funnily enough, for a couple of days the whole family joined in to play it or watch somebody else play it.
>you know a cockroach can live a week without its head.
>Big deal, I have went through 8 years of marriage without any head
>only 2 results
They always appeal to my inner child. I preferred when they didn't speak, just made noises.
I'M GONNA MAKE YOU MAH BITCH!
NOLF was great. Why isn't it on GOG/Steam yet?
God Hand is pretty funny
The Mario and Luigi games. It's simple little things with cartoony humor. Nothing sophisticated, but they always get me to at least smile and usually laugh once in a while. Usually due to Luigi, but that makes it even better to me because fuck yeah Luigi.
Fuck the gyroscope shit in Dream Team ruining the game for me. I just hate that shit.
UAB was pretty entertaining with the "OH PLS I DUN WAND TO GO DO JALE :DD" option enabled.
It's not really a funny game, but some of the gang descriptions always got me.
>really want to play it because from all the talk
>not a pedo
I tried to play them but the humor and story was so bad that i wouldnt put up with that repetitive boring gameplay for it, first paper mario was kinda okeysh.
It says here you guys are fags
There's a SFW option in-game. It even prompts before the first NSFW moment just to be sure for you. It's a funny VN that's worth a gander.
That's from in-game.
The MC fantasizes about one of the girls briefly and that image pops up.
you didn't like at the realization that the one guy who probably actually fucked his mother was the only character in the game who didn't get called a motherfucker? Washington's analysis of it as an indictment of modern feminism?
Does Bubsy 3D count?
>noone says Metal Gear Solid
Fair point, the ending was quite good, also the fact that G warmed up to Washington so much he started talking like he did.
The music was good as well, but I could use some more of
Papa Caesar's crazy dialogues
Portal one was funny because of GlaDOS and how she doesn't even hate anyone but is just programmed to test.
P2 was a little too aware of that and went overboard like that nerd that made 5 people laugh in the class and then thinks he's genuinely funny.
why would anyone even go there?
it's basically redditchan since most of the infographics telling people to go there after the sjw shitstorm were spammed on imgur, reddit and 9gag
I remember laughing at Radiata Stories, though it's been awhile since I played it. And Trails in the Sky had some good humor in it, nothing too sophisticated, but good for a chuckle. Disgaea always gets me to laugh.
My tastes for humor are pretty lowbrow admittedly.
