Well, there is a new post on the translation tumblr today about how close range attacks work with the paintrollers; so I suppose that is new thread worthy.
I still won't main em though.
>Squid Research Labs Special Report:
Our findings indicate that roller weapons excel at inking territory while on the move, but they can also fling ink in a wide arc. Flinging ink is a short-range attack to be sure, but it can be quite a powerful tactic. Interestingly enough, a statistically significant percentage of test subjects reported that switching between flinging ink and rolling ink on the ground is more satisfying than one might think!
this weapon is going to be scout-tier of annoying. Look at that fucking painting surface. All you have to do is being sanic and avoid everybody and give your team massive points.
If kill times remain what they were in the E3 build the roller wont be nearly as OP as most think. Also they are going to be reliant on teammates if they want to take advantage of wall mobility or being able to move through gratings.
tune in next week on famitsu
it was weekly right? not biweekly?
There's really no reason to do this outside of MMOs. It's especially bad because it's a TPS, so you have to look at your uglyass squid girl if you want to play seriously.
Of course, Nintendo has consistently shown it doesn't want their games played seriously.
>Squid-Loli: Did you get fried?
>Shrimp dude: Hah! No No. This is just fashion!
>Closing time. Time for a bath and to get some sleep.
3rd and 4th is a *sizzle* or whatever sound frying makes.
>Shota-squid: Yo, go buy some takoyaki in less than 3 minutes.
>Squid Loli: Yessir!
>Hurry hurry! TRANSFORM! *swish*
>Loli: I back from the shop!
>Not-Kamina: That was quick!
So are the squids really young?
the old squid looks almost the same as the others what if they aren't lolis and shotas?
not enough art that feature the beak/teeth
guess we'll have to wait for the second wave when the game gets released
>Deviantart tier animation
>Shitty voice acting
Still gave me a couple laughs.
It's a Gatling gun that splatters ink everywhere.
Oh, well then. I was wondering because I've been following the game very closely and hadn't heard of such a thing, guess that's why.
So far all the weapons they've shown off have been very basic and generic. Pistols, sniper rifles, assault rifles, grenades, rocket launchers, and presumably shotguns. I wanna see some unique and creative weapons I haven't seen in other games.
Well, how about some more melee weapons? There don't exit many shooters where you can play using mainly melee weapons. I also would like to see something like a giant slingshot, now that you post that pic.
Didn't know it was this hard to think up weapon for splatoon, so how about variations on the weapons we saw?
Well, I want a bounce gun. Something that'll bounce X times and then splat, or splat instantly if it makes contact with a player. I love setting traps and attacking around corners so that'd be perfect for me.
how about an oversized fountain pen with a cripplingly small spread but splatting enemies yields a larger then normal blot of your ink?
How about a special weapon that drops an Ink cannon turret you can use for a short time?
There is already something like that, not a turret that can be aimed but like an auto-turret that functions like a sprinkler, attacking and covering an area in ink within a certain range for a set period of time.
