Ramuh is completely stationary so all you have to do is ensure everyone stays away from you as his attack itself is an aoe circle around you
if you're the OT, you just help dps and are the designated zapper for chaotic strike
Paladin becomes less involved compared to Warrior later on who has buttons out the ass.
Both are good jobs but its easier to become bored on Paladin in my opinion.
Have you seen the reload animation?
I don't tank because I hate having the responsibility on me and I know I wouldn't manage to do it right
Hence why I play DPS
Though I do plan on taking up either hearling or tanking once Heavensward comes out, what can I say, I jump on the DK/Astro bandwagon
Paladin is important but kind of boring. It makes up for it by being the easiest class/role to play at high level. It's a good class to get into endgame and learn the fights without being overburdened by a lot of movement.
Warrior is much more fun but generally harder because it often takes the off-tank role. Higher skill ceiling of the two.
It's an MMO. Like most MMOs, it starts of slow but picks up over time.
I would say the game really starts picking up in the late level 30s, when you have a set rotation for your job you need to start to master.
End game is a lot of fun, provided you are an antisocial douchebag.
Not the dude you asked, but it has its moments.
It can be very grind-y, but if you find the combat and/or crafting fun you'll have a good time. Especially if you have friends to play with.
You know you can get a free 14-day trial, right?
I didn't expect to get holy at 45 already. Spamming it for that animation all day long.
>mfw best looking bow and I love it
Skill/spell speed feels fucking terrible on a class that isn't NIN/MNK/BLM. Why the fuck did they put that shit on this bow.
The poetic grind is real.
Should I even bother buying this shit or way till Heavensward?
Armor cost like fucking 850 and you get 35 for daily
>posting a picture of a Paladin
>not having a chill dragonbro sitting on your shoulders
>just finally beat binding coil t5 after countless duty finders and party finders
is all of the endgame like this or is that an exception? why cant people run up and down on the dive bombs? every fucking time.
should I even bother seeing as the expansion is round the corner? it seems all the latecomers except for me are retarded.
>35 a day with expert roulette.
No, you get 75. You get 35 + 40 from the dungeon.
Christ, if you do ONE dungeon a day (around 20-25 minutes) for like five days you max the cap. It's easy as shit.
>friend of mine got into the game 3 days ago
>he's THM going BLM
>running Haukke Manor
>be decent tank, know my shit
>pull 6-7 mobs at a time
>healer keeping up
>friend AoE'ing the shit out of everything
>noob melee dd bringing 3 adds
>peel them off him like a pro
>turning point, healer can't keep up with the damage anymore
>see my health bounce around 600hp, 200 hp, 500 hp, 100 hp, 400 hp
>notice we have full limit break gauge
>wait a second, doesn't tank lb reduce damage taken?
>scramble around in my skill menu to find lb button
>for the first time in my life use limit break
>go down to 9 hp
>it reduces the damage enough so that that healer can bring me back up again
>back up to 1000 hp
>mobs start dying
>tfw my pro tank skills saved the day
feels great man
My friend and I are starting to think we're ready to start giving coil a try. We're not quite sure if the rest of the FC is ready though, and don't really want to do it with randoms. What do?
Using holy to hunt sheep in coerthas to make wool gear is the best thing
Where does it say that?
I've done over 25 runs without a single drop of any sort. I am not lucky enough to rely on WoD drops
I used all my cooldowns because with all my cooldowns the healer was able to spot on heal against 7 mobs at a time. The 3 mobs the melee dps added was what tipped the scales and made additional measures a necessity.
You've claimed your reward for the day already, hence the treasure chest in the corner with the large green check over it.
Doing the expert roulette gives you 35 Poetics, while running the dungeon itself gives you 40.
Put the two together, bro. It's not hard.
>Tfw started playing with friends.
>We all agree to do the BCoB together when we all hit 50.
>I'm one of 2 people at 50.
>Everyone else is ADD and playing Smash now.
I just wanted to play an MMO with friends.
>just need the unid tomes
they drop plenty in circus tower
not a lot of people even bother to roll on them still, usually I just have to compete with 2-3 other people rather than the full 8
>Game doesn't let you fall off cliffs
This triggers my autism, also, im on Primal/Famfrit what's a more populated server than this one?
>also XIV thread since last one died
precisely WHY /vg/ EXISTS FOR FUCK SAKES
You actually only die if you currently have aggro.
Balmung is the ERP server, Ultros is the most populated if you're not into that shit.
Im not into that shit but Ultros is not taking new characters, do i just wait to get lucky one day to create a chara?
>tfw your FC leader is an honest to god rapper with like 16 songs on soundcloud
