New game coming to Steam, Oceanhorn.
Kind of reminds me of something... I just can't put my finger on it...
>watch gameplay trailer
>exactly nothing like OPs pic suggests
seems comfy for kids though
I've always wondered with games like this, how true are they to the source material?
Like, is it mostly aesthetically and thematically similar on a superficial level? Or do they go all in with the same locations, story, secrets, puzzles and dungeons?
Like I thought, kids enjoy it.
It was forgivable at first, with just the sailing and the swords man guy. But then I saw the trailer.
I mean, look at those enemy designs. And that Beamos. And how the chest falls from the sky. And dont forget that blatant Triforce-mystical-power at the end.
Does game do ANYTHING original? Or are people only going to buy it for its Wind Waker-ness.
That's just being a prude. It looks like it's got a proper story unlike WW and the gameplay isn't the same.
I don't play indie shit but damn hating on this because it borrows good elements is pretty retarded.
So this is what PC gaming is reduced to is it?
>PC fucks are so desperate for Nintendo games they need bootlegs to experience them
>Consolecucks are so retarded they don't realize we can emulate wind waker by now
You can emulate it on tablets which is pretty cool.
pic from over a year ago
btw all the game controllers for iphones suck because apple is retarded and took a shit in the drivers (all controllers are affected) so the analog stick has to be mashed all the way for it to register at all, and it still isn't fixed over a year later
I returned this controller a few days after the pic was taken
>people are actually mad at this
Get mad at Nintendo for NEVER porting their first party games to PC. They're the only one not to do so. If this means I can finally get a Zelda-esque title on PC, then hell yeah this is awesome.
I stopped playing this after the first dungeon boss, which was two normal enemies with no special music.
Other than that, between the shitty tutorial and when I stopped it seemed decent
This won't make any big waves since it copies the 3D zelda formula and people only play those games because they have the name ZELDA attached to them.
Okami failed to sell for exactly that reason.
If you strip away the zelda name the games are purely medicore and boring at best and shitty and unfullfilling at worst
>yea why exactly is this a bad thing?
Because having the PC being a dumping ground for low effort rip offs isn't going to lead to original ideas in the future.
I'd sooner play a game inspired by LoZ but with its own differences than yet a fucking clone from Gameloft.
Seems quite original.
>PCucks celebrating a shitty rip off of a shittier game
