Do you agree there need to be more diversity in gaming?
Reminder that bright, unnatural colours are a warning sign from nature.
These people have to be avoided.
I have, it was a tomboy as well.
Pretty damn cute one.
But she was a massive bi slut who slept with everything.
>Do you agree there need to be more diversity in gaming?
Make a good game and no one will care if you are a female/male/transethnic.
Whoever did Fragile Allegiance could be a homosexual pedophilic furry and I wouldn't care.
There's already shitloads of diversity in gaming.
This recently trend of people screaming "VIDEO GAMES AREN'T DIVERSE" is like hearing someone say that Twilight is the first ever piece of female literature to become popular. In other words, they're ignoring hundreds of years (or in gaming's case, decades of years) of successful female content creators, just so they can feel like heroes once they pull the curtain back and show that there's a shitload of women making video games. Like a crazy person screaming at a storm cloud that starts raining, thus "proving" that they can control the weather.
who knew he was on the vanguard of fashion
I want to fuck Christine Love HARD
I have warped preferences.
it's symbolic of their own roots, yes they have changed but inside they are the same
Depends on what exactly you mean.
If by more diversity in developers well no one cares if you have the skills to work in the industry, no one will turn you down for race or gender, if you have what companies look for you got a job, just like any tech field.
If by more diversity of in game characters, one blame focus groups and publishers, games in general have had a wide cast of good characters both human and non-human.
Lastly fuck forced diversity, it just makes sterotypes
Tattoos are the only body modification that is acceptable.
Piercings and unnatural hair colors are massive red flags that whoever has them are useless people.
Name one person with unnatural hair color or a nose ring that isn't a complete tool.
same with mirror's edge, or sleeping dogs
although I remember some people making a bit of a fuss over CJ being black, they all stfu once they played the game because it was so fucking good
>the real reason video game fags hate diversity is because the games showcasing these characters are all shit
This is true.
Man, I haven't played a shooter in years because I'm so sick of that shit already. It's all the same thing anyway, and none if it is as good as CoD4 Modern Warfare was back in the day
I would actually say it's the other way around. Piercings are acceptable, tattoos are not. At least you can simply take off piercings whenever you need or want to, but you're stuck with a tattoo forever.
The worst thing is that the people who downright demand more diversity in video games are usually the same SJW dumbasses who boycott games like Hatred.
Everyone in my family has been in the military going five generations back. It would be quicker for me to list people I know that don't have them. That being said, I only have a few small ones, though I intend to have full sleeves once I can afford it.
It's probably referring to the point that all these SJW diversity summits are white male hipster sausage fests. Which is partially true. They have plenty of white female hipsters too, though.
Though I understand where you are coming from, the problem is that when you start differentiating between forced diversity and "authentic" diversity, the people who are prejudiced and against any diversity at all (whether they're conscious of this bias or not, and yes humans have lots of unconscious biases) will hide behind the forced diversity argument in order to not seem like prejudiced fuckwads. You're just giving them an out.
We should certainly be critical of poorly written/conceived of games that hide behind diversity as a justification for their relevance, using it as a prop to stand themselves up on instead of relying on their gameplay. But in these cases, all we have to do is point to the gameplay itself and discuss how it isn't good- the only time to bring diversity into the equation is when someone else uses the diversity as some sort of selling point for the game, we can dismiss it as not being relevant to the quality of the game itself. It will be easier for us to dismiss the diversity as a positive aspect of a game when there is more diversity in games in general, because it will make these weaker entries that rely on diversity as a crutch less justifiable by the people who would use it.
Diversity shouldn't be a selling point for a game, but there should be more of it in games.
The people who are demanding more diversity are the ones who are preventing it.
My mother got a nose stud. At age 50.
My mother can't even hear the word "fuck" spoken aloud without being shocked.
She does craftwork for a living, and used to be a teacher.
This taught me an important lesson: Having a piercing doesn't really fucking mean anything at all. It doesn't mean anything more than an item of clothing does. It doesn't define who you are as a person.
I choose to believe that most people and anons aren't a bunch of mouthbreathing faggots like they seem, but give them anonymity and a willing audience, and they'll act out because peoples' panties get in a bunch
People need Social Marxism like they need leprosy
I think video games should be developed by a culture and shared within that culture to preserve ever lasting cultural traditions that won't be warped through time by human error. A video game such as Majora's Mask that encapsulates Germanic culture in a world that would see it completely wiped out.
