>Game is such a a trainwreck that the Japanese despise it
>Atlus didn't even bother doing proper balancing for classes like in EO1
>Fixes the classic mode issues of EO1 but has 5 times more problems
>Both EOU games are shitty if you don't care for Story mode
Atlus games get stuck in Japan all the time.
That's because Mystery Dungeon is getting localized and EOU2 is not.
Japan liked Resonance. Too bad for EOPs that Sega hates them.
We would probably get it if there was a recent version that wouldn't be a nightmare to bring over. It looks like Xseed is just going to skip to Sen in the meantime.
I really don't get why Sega won't just let third parties localize some of their titles. I'm sure some companies would love to localize Shining or Yakuza.
all the inazuma eleven games, i have beat the first one like 7 times now.
Sega didn't buy Atlus. Sega SAMMY bought Atlus.
We've gotten every single other EO game, it just seems silly to skip this one. They're even localizing the Mystery Dungeon game, there's absolutely no reason not to do this game as well.
I want it but I honestly don't see it happening anymore. With EMD being localized first even though we've known about EOU2 since last July, there's really no more room for a EOU2 release unless Atlus US pushes back the up coming EOV. You can bet your ass that as soon EMD is out in Japan, Atlus will give us a trailer and release date for EOV, it will definitely be out this year
But it will be, they keep churning out new ones every year so unless the decide to scrap the engine they have now and make a new one, there's no reason for development time to be that long. And this is Atlus we're talking about, they're the kings of reusing assets.
>tfw waiting for EO5 news
I just wanna see the classes.
I know. Just the thought of going on another adventure, exploring entirely new dungeons with new classes really gets me going.
I only got into EO two years ago after EOU, so I've never been able to experience the hype with /v/ and /vg/ of a new EO game.
We all know it won't come. :'(
>tfw it will never come
>tfw yakuza 5 is
no you're just retarded. The bosses in classic mode can have their health reduced significantly by baiting them into traps that are strewn around the boss room.
And I was easily doing 10k damage on my Dark Hunter and never had any trouble with DPS.
Everyone keeps saying that you can work around the massive hp buffs in Untold 2 Classic by just running a Dark Hunter, but what if your party doesn't have one
Are you just dicked up the ass then
there isn't any massive hp buffs, it's completely exaggerated because you're expected to use the room gimmicks to weaken the bosses before you fight them. And every physical class is strong as shit, it's just the Dark Hunter is OP.
>Survivalist was A++ tier in vanilla EO1
>Nerfed into shit in EOU
>Survivalist was shit in vanilla EO2
So they made Survivalist good again, right?
>tfw no swordcraft story 3
>tfw the fan translation will never be finished
Either people are really misinformed, or you're just the same faggot posting this every thread. DLC is also all completely option bosses that really don't add much so there's no point in buying it(unless you want a naked loli) and they also don't count towards 100%.
>golden lair, run across a flaming watchamacallit
>need to throw an ice lance
>my runemaster could conjure ice lances anyways
there's so much more that the devs could add to the game. i'm a little pissed at how barebones this game is
>people defending Atlus fucking up Etrian odyssey
God damn it. I'm done with you faggots
>We would probably get it if there was a recent version that wouldn't be a nightmare to bring over. It looks like Xseed is just going to skip to Sen in the meantime.
You're a fucking retarded dipshit EOP scumbag. Those aren't the Kiseki series scripts you incomparable homo. Those are obviously commercial products, for fuck's sake how stupid do you even have to be?
>Any Saki game
>Tetris Grand Master
>New Puyo Pop games
It's the government's fault
Do you guys think EMD will be a lenghty game? Heared bad things about the last PMD game, and I really don't want to be the dissapointed.
2 characters per class is shit. Better be hidden classes.
>Tfw they had to add in a quick last-minute Classic Mode or else the Japanese would not have bought it
>EO1 Classic mode is balanced but is missing content
>EO2 Classic mode has full content but is unbalanced as fuck
All the Japanese want is classic EO, what the fuck is Atlus even doing? Are they trying to kill the series?
Hope it lasts longer or at least just as long as a regular EO game.
thanks for answering, unlike the /eog/ faggotsThink they'll add in the old post game bosses in bonus dungeons?
Honestly I don't think it will be much more than a standard MD game with EO fanservice. Still, nobody knows yet. So you're better off waiting after release if you're particularly concerned about the length.
I could see atlus putting in a few super/old bosses for fan service though.
I'm looking for PS3 import games. If you have a source that lists them, please do tell. Searching through Play-asia and such takes too long as they don't filter japan exclusive from localized games.
A Vanillaware game you'll never get. Ever.
I just want this motherfucker to be good. He was okay but not really good in 1 only because of cheap as shit Allslash, but they made him shit tier in 2.
>PQ was more complicated than EOU too
That must be bad, because PQ wasn't complicated in the slightest.
Naoto simplified the game so much that it's hilarious and the free HP/SP pool plus free no cost skills when you hit weaknesses got rid of any type of HP/SP management. Also fuck the treasure boxes in PQ, you have to grind up on every fucking wall because of 100% completion bullshit. Also the FOEs and bosses aren't hard, they're just fucking damage sponges.
I can't take anyone seriously if they try to say PQ was better than any EO game, because it isn't. It's better than probably any Persona game, but not a single EO game.
They're outclassed by Survivalists in 1 in terms of damage, but they're nice in regular battles because Allslash is extremely cheap costwise. They're outclassed by fucking everything in 2. The Protector does more damage than them.
Honestly EO3 is imo the best and most fun EO. But I hope to god they dont make an EOU3 after this because of how badly they butchered the first two games with the Untold shit. I dont want to see my fav EO raped even if it would mean a fully orchestrated OST and better GRUFIX
It's not like that anymore.
Nowadays, it's just dead thread most of the time until someone gets into an argument about lolis or some shit.
Then someone ALWAYS asks "should I get EOU or EO4 first?" followed by later sort of relevant discussion about the game.
It's actually not so bad at all. One of the better generals. Not much goes on in there.
>tfw used a Landshark in EO2
i got the bomb axe early, though
Pls, no. Don't remind me. I wanted to forget.
>Story mode has a fixed party, reclassing keeps their stats, party is boring, story somehow made worse than the original which barely even had a story
>New content story locked including some endgame gear for classic mode classes
>Classic mode is a rush job with the new classes not properly implemented, is simply story mode with cut content
>Instead of subclassing, gameplay is built around grimoires, which are one of the worst additions to EO so far, especially when IV somewhat balanced subclassing
Sure, Bandai will localize garbage MSG games, but no, the best they keep to themselves.
You said gameplay was built around grimoires, and it's not, as you can completely ignore them and still be fine. They're only bad because of how random they are. 2 alleviates things a bit but it's still a bit tedious. If it wasn't so hard to obtain griomoires, I would actually prefer that system to subclassing
They only localised the sequel instead.
Must suck to be a pleb.
you must be one of those pedophiles that fapped endlessly to the shitty blonde cunt from the future past and defends this piece of shit insult to the EO series with your life.
You know, whenever I see the rare EO, Harvest Moon, and Rune Factory threads, I always wondered how come the waifu fags aren't as rampant as they could be.
Aside from lack of r34, this isn't a really a bad thing, either
The most balanced, difficult, and streamlined game in the series is a piece of shit because it has a completely optional "stop liking what I don't like" story mode? Go back to posting your shitty fanfics on some shit blog no one cares about.
>we will never get the spiritual sequel to tokyo extreme racer
>Genki is dead and gone
What's nice about it is that it's all completely optional and has no relevance to the plot, unlike SMT4. Plus nekkid lolis.
Translation is just the same stuff in another language. Localization refers to the process of altering something for use in another location, i.e. changing a cultural joke that nobody in America would understand.
Here's the short version of this. First on the left is translating, middle is weeaboo, right one is localization.
Atlus has localized games with naked bathing girls before.
There isn't any, but there is a lot of QR codes you can scan for additional quest and items.
>I've never heard of DLC or seen any that wasn't optional.
There's a few games with 'true' endings locked behind DLC, like ME3 and Asura's Wrath.
There is no DLC for EO4 unless you count all those QR items which were all shitty low level stuff. EOU2 DLC is a bunch of super bosses, an extra F30 with another super boss at the end, hot spring scene with a boss and pic related, and a bunch of grinding quests.
Square Enix hates everything that isn't Final Fantasy, and they've been shitting all over that lately, too.
Was reading a similar discussion in another thread. Square hates Enix, so anything not FF is getting thrown aside while they continue to push out more FF shit.
I don't want more FF shit, nobody does, aside from XIV, the last FF I enjoyed was X and that was just barely.
Currently playing the eboot of DQVII on my PSP and I hope that all is well when I reach disc 2.
Learned moonrunes a long time ago. It would suck if I didn't and seeing all the games I'd have missed out on.
