>>284258828 I like the chemisty between the characters alot, and the scenes in the game made me feel nice and a variety of emotions. THe music is also a big factor for this, the mood is empecible. The combat is ok, but the real part or the game play I like is how the story is revealed through it, for P4 mostly, the dungeons where based off the character inner sides and really made me feel what they were going through.
>>284259657 I would say Paper Mario, up untill Sticker Star.
P1: SMT with teenagers, good dungeons, excellent music, plain but relatable characters P2: Good music, crazy and interesting story, lots of side shit to do P3: Waifus, its like I'm really japanese, BABY BABY BABY BABY, still has somewhat engaging gameplay and can be challenging in some parts P4: Waifus, pretending to be a rural japanese student this time, waifus, like a couple good OST songs, Nanako, waifus, and SHIT dungeons with easy gameplay
>>284260225 They're pretty fun. I'm actually playing through EP now since I beat IS a few years ago. It's solid so far, Baofu is an great character. It's amazing how much background dialogue they crammed into these games.
>>284258949 Pretty much this. Thinking back, those games were actually a chore to play. When you weren't reading that social link bullshit, you were running around some lazy ass dungeon that it took them all of 20 seconds to come up with.
There is no apeal, if you're a normal human being that is. Only lonely waifufaggot who had no friends growning up like this. >>>>>>>B-B-BUT MUH MUSIC Its fucking TERRIBLE, nothing but generic J-pop filth. >>>>>>>B-B-BUT MUH UNIQUE CHARACTERS funny as you can find atleast 4 animes/games that have come out this season that have similar characters. Japan cannot make a single good character. and dont give me that >Kamina or >Bebob shit. >>>>>>>B-B-BUT MUH FEELS Real human beings don't play games for feelings or philosophy, they will read a book or watch a play for that, a more respectible artform.
After beating Persona 4 I got so goddamn depressed that I sat around all day doing nothing but moping and eventually tried to kill myself. I was taken to a hospital and then I got antidepressants and went into therapy. I started to make friends and actually work out and get a social life.
As fuck up as it sounds, Persona 4 made me face my true self and really create change in my life
>>284258828 Honestly, I have no idea. I gave Persona 4 a try because I had a Vita, /v/ would never shut up about it, and because it was on sale.
I liked it. I can't tell you why, and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't like it at all.
If I HAD to give you a reason, its because I got a chance to relive high school the way that I would if I had to go back today (I am a LOT more confident in myself and my looks). It certainly isn't for the actual gameplay that I enjoyed it, and, quite frankly, even though I throughly enjoyed P4 Golden, I really have no drive to play Persona 5.
>style >themes >memorable characters >the chance to have the high school career you never had >the chance to lose your virginity to someone you actually care about because you want to, not because you think have an obligation to give it because "everyone is doing it"
I'm 22 now, I know P5 still takes place in high school. My only complaint with P3 and P4 is sometimes they have those really cringy dialogue sessions that are in almost all JRPG's. I hope P5 is different in this regard.
>>284261359 If there was a game that did that for me, it would be FF8. I've played it since I was 16, and its nothing special, but for whatever reason, when I played it back then, it gave me the push I needed to come out of my shell.
>>284261359 Anon, I think you have a lot more issues then you do. Congrats on your life being better, but I think your a fucking time bombs and at the slightest event that shakes your relationship with your friends, or whatever, you'll explode and you'll just be another suicide statistic.
NEVER, I repeat, NEVER, put a single iota of worth to the opinion of a weeb. They have the single worst taste of any gamer. They would play with a literal piece of shit if it had cute big eyes. They will praise anything that has "waifus", no matter how shit it is. Persona is no different. It's nonsensical weeb garbage that these retarded fucks eat up like a crackhead eats the shit-crusted ass of another crackhead for that crumb of crackrock. I repeat, their opinions are worth nothing. A Zimbabwe coin holds more value in US Dollars than the opinion of a weeb. Thanks for listening and have a good, weeb-ignoring day.
Therapy has taught me a lot about handling and processing emotions, mostly by working out rather than sitting around in my room doing nothing. Really clears your mind. I think you're wrong, but, hey, whatever happens
>>284261348 Even 3/4 had some good non-jpop tracks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Wi1Y8cmjyM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jX-Lrhrt1M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hufv8MFlRdE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BcYDO3cc2s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwABWVby-Xw
>>284261902 There's something about the Japanese devs that never up the ante for their audience. This is an actual quote from Square Enix's Kitase:
"I actually think that it's a very natural thing for players to grow out of the Final Fantasy series," he answers. "In terms of the age group we target with each new game, it remains the teens to 20-somethings. That said, you're right in saying that some of our staff have been working on the series for many years. They are having new experiences and growing and they inevitably do bring those new ideas and perspectives to their work. In Final Fantasy XIII, for example, we have a greater spread of older characters in the story than we have had in the past. Satzu is older, has a family and is not really the kind of character one would normally encounter or play as in the series. But, that said, I think it's better that we keep the focus on the young generation rather than ageing the series' appeal. If players choose to stick around and continue playing the games as they grow older then that's great, but hopefully new generations will find the appeal, grow up with the series and then pass that down to the next generation as they themselves grow older".
>>284262558 All the waifus in Persona 3 were shit. Fuuka was kind of cute when she wasn't actually letting words out of her mouth and Elizabeth was cute even if she was dumb as shit. I don't usually like dogs, but Koromaru was adorable and probably the best waifu. If only there were an anthro form.
