Is it normal for the hinge to move slightly, like half a centimetre, even when it's clicked into place?
>tfw Amerifats will never get the regular N3DS
>tfw you learn that nintendo products are made of earthly materials
>tfw all matter will eventually renew or turn to dust
>tfw you can't really collect or have anything for ever...
but it makes it feel a bit wobbly which is fucking irritating, although i understand that if it were completely stiff it could break, but come on... half a fucking centimetre?
nothing should last forever, it's better that way.
i have a standard n3ds, when you say "pretty stiff" do you mean if won't move at all? or can you still, with your finger, move it up .5 cm when it's clicked in place?
I want to know because having a slightly loose hinge would kill me, my DS Lite flops too much and I don't want the same to happen here.
>he doesn't remember that debacle with the DSi hinges cracking from being too tight
I want /pol/ to leave.
>tfw carry O.G. Black 3DS everywhere I go.
>now I have to have a big XL bulge in my pants/backpack
I got the N3DS XL but I wanted the regular.
It's not to bad actually, I mean I would rather have the regular, I might end up buying the regular if the circle stick fucks up like my last 3DS but I'm happy with it.
Fuck you Nintendo, this shit is unacceptable
>Americans are apparently too stupid to know the difference between the regular New 3DS and the XL model
THEN YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE NAMED IT THE FUCKING NEW 3DS, HOLY FUCKING SHIT
So you're saying the fact it moves slightly when i push it is normal? It should feel really tight?
I just checked and my DS Lite has wobble too, in fact I'd say it has double the amount.
really? do you have a n3ds though? and how loose is "loose"? my problem is i don't know if mine is looser than what it's supposed to be now.
why does the XL fits in (normal sized) hands so perfectly and why did nintendo put those nice colored buttons only on the regular new 3ds?
do you think that america didn't get the regular because their snes controllers looked like this?
I'm not getting a n3DS XL
they could have at least done limited releases or only stock small amounts of the standard model
God fucking knows nintendo loves to only produce like 5 copies of a high demand product
i don't have any electronics with a hinge except for this, so couldn't compare. but thank you, that makes me feel better about it. i still think half a centimetre isn't acceptable, but oh well... at least i won't be returning it.
Has anyone else gone from the 3DS XL to the N3DS?
I really want to buy one but the N3DS XL isn't out til the 13th March in bongland and I want to buy one now before I go away for a month or so.
However, I'm used to the bigger screen size and I really enjoy it, not sure if I can downgrade.
>Has anyone else gone from the 3DS XL to the N3DS?
Yes. And I'm so glad I did. I preferred my OG3DS over my XL in every way except the shell. The OG3DS was horrible to hold and the XL's smooth she'll was great. Shame the screens made the games look like crap on the XL.
I always wanted a 3DSi. Normal size with a nice shape and I finally got it.
See that's the thing I've held 3DS' and I can't see why anyone would prefer the smaller size, and I was wondering if it was different with the N3DS. The faceplates seem like the only positive on the N3DS and I'm really not that bothered about them.
how jarring is the size difference? Any personal pictures?
The N3DS feels great. It's propbably on comfy levels with the DSi. The matte case feels great (newxl is glossy like the OG3DS)
Size wise it's perfect. I hated the bigger screens as it made the games look worse. I had a 3Ds before my XL so I went from sharp to bigger jaggies.
Some people prefer the XL and I'm not one of them. I'd recommend popping into game as they have demo models.
All I can say is the N3DS feels and runs great. I've finally found the right 3DS for me.
Also the faceplates don't bother me Tho them being matte is great.
I feel like one of the few who wants the XL over the regular. Do Americans mostly just want it because they can't have it?
>don't give a shit about face plates
>don't like the button colors
>never play handhelds outside
>rather take a bigger screen with bad DPI over a smaller one
>Nintendo will never release the regular N3DS in the US
>Nintendo will never relax region locking so we can just import a Yurop N3DS
>yeah i'm loving my n3ds but fuck i wish they made it click really tightly into place so we have 0 wobble.
Can't you just push something small between the hinges to stop the wobbling?
Haven't held a 3DS for longer than a few minutes so I might just be talking out of my ass though.
