It's like having your kid whine that his macaroni picture is on par with Rembrant.
Your game ia trash, deal with it faggot
Maybe gamers should stop being such entitled manbaby fucks?
You're lucky we don't make you pay $100 per game, you little fucking brats.
Oh they did give them review copies. That's how the bad reviews came out a day before release.
Their point is that maybe they won't give out review copies next time. Which means the reviews come out a few days after the game comes out. Which means less site traffic on release day, and less revenue from ads. Speaking of which, they'll pull their own ads for the game from the website, so that's double revenue loss.
Do you see why every game gets 9/10 it's okay?
It's a bad time to be a sonygger. How long does this studio have until it's closed, /v/? They obviously can't handle the banter.
This is what happens when you give movie games like uncharted 2 and The last of us 10/10 scores, GAMING MASTERPIECES, THE CITIZEN OF KANE OF GAMING
Everyone is going to try to recreate it
Doesn't matter. Sites are already reporting on it. If they were deleted, claiming false reporting or shopped images would only exacerbate the issue that these people are clearly ignorant children.
>pulling ads hurts videogame "journalism"
>also hurts overhyped AAA shit
please, yes, do it. Two birds with one stone and whatnot.
While The Order: 1886 is still relevant and in the media Sony will probably take them out their misery just for lulz
CoD Advanced Warfare is actually pretty good.
The cutscenes are only there while levels load, you actually get to do stuff in-between the QTE's and it even has multiplayer.
Uncharted 2 is actually a good third person shooter with very little time spent watching cutscenes or engaged in cinematic bullshit. It's cinematic games done right.
Entitled? That's like saying we go to a steak restaurant and the waiter serves us hotpockets. And you complain that we're "so entitled" for expecting a good steak, and we should be happy with our $60 hotpocket.
RaD isn't owned by Sony, but the guy who made the tweet is from Santa Monica Studios, who helped develop The Order, so he might get thrown out on his ass, and Sony might not want to develop with them again
I like how Jonathan Leack associated it with GG.
A developer is bitching how their legit bribes aren't effective. While the media is trying its hardest to regain respect in the eye of gamers.
I've never played Uncharted, but I've heard great things about that series. The Last of Us, however, had actual solid gameplay and was longer than 6 hours. These are not good comparisons.
sometimes I feel like Neogaf is full of really deep meta shitposters from /v/ who purposefully type things that make them sound like ultra shills just so they can repost it on /v/ and cause shitstorms
>we make games, we can't get around it
People actually defend this studio.
>Finally reviewers get their shit together
>Suddently all this backslash from Sony shill
>Next time reviewers will feel to scared to call a movie-game shit and they'll end up giving it higher scores
This shit is unfair. What the fuck is wrong with people playing videogames these times.
Back in the day, a game like the first SMB was laughted at for being too easy.
Today "gamers" don't have time for big and long games and they want their games to be less "gamey" as possible.
I fucking knew it, called it out on day one. The reason The Order didn't get the ME3 treatment is because they're using it as a sacrificial lamb so they can tell GG, "Nuh uh! What about The Order? Why would we do that? We lost potential exclusives and swag with those honest reviews!"
>i think it'd be more challenging to make a game for the gameplays sake, then try to make a story that fits in there.
So they flat out admit they're a bunch of talentless faggots that took the easiest road?
>we make games, we can't get around it
Not for lack of trying. Holy shit that comment makes me some kind of pissed
This is YOUR fault /v/, you shitposted so hard about Order 1886 that you made everyone think it was shit.
>I think it'd be more challenging to make a game for the gameplay's sake, then try to make a story that fits in there.
so he's saying, "we don't want to try our hardest with this game"?
Probably. These people strike me as literally being borderline retarded and completely lacking in self awareness so I'm hoping that they just keep on trying to prove the opposition wrong until they're good journalists on accident.
DO YOU SEE NOW MOOT
I KNOW YOU'RE WATCHING YOU FUCK
DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU'VE CAUSED BY BANNING GAMERGATE?
THIS IS YOUR FAULT ASSHOLE.
>This shit is unfair. What the fuck is wrong with people playing videogames these times.
they need to make a living, that's basically what it comes down to. if publishers stopped sending reviewers free review copies more than half of them would probably go out of business, for example. no one wants to get on some publisher's shit list and essentially starve to death as a company.
>Gameplay is something that... It's a game, we make games, we can't get around it.
Apogee of cancer killing vidya.
I can't believe a game developper would ever say suc a thing.
And don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Uncharted 2, The Last of us, I didn't play Cage's game but I could -barely- understand the appeal of some gamers for those.
But "The Order : 1886" ?
I fucking watch this playthrough on Youtube and can't believe how bad the littles sections of gameplay could be :
>some gunfights against three guys cloned over and over
>3 or 4 QTE against lycans
On top of that, for a cinematic gaem, the scenario sucks and isn't even finished.
What the actual fuck ?
It could honestly be a slim chance of these people who got into gaming with PS3 and 360 actually developing some taste after a decade. Suddenly, not everyone is buying into AAA walking simulators anymore.
>DmC: Devil May Cry
Where's the 4 and how come there's a DmC in there?
You can make a fucking JRPG of all things heavily based on gameplay, make it good, and then put a servicable story in there. They can't do it with a 6 hour action game.
>falling for clickbait
Lol OP. Who gives a fuck what a single person says. He doesn't even have any authority at all.
Not just review copies and ads either either. You got press events, exclusive interviews, preview showings, all those things that actually get traffic to your site. Piss off a big publisher ayou get nothing.
>ever going on review sites
>not just going on /v/ to find out if a game is good
That's what I do. The honest opinion of actual ordinary gamers and a few overly critical gamers is the only opinion you need to know if a game is good.
i never liked shit games
Because Cage's games are glorified QTEs: the Game and he's aware of it, pretentiousness or not. The Order: 1886 actively DETESTS the fact it's a game because that means it needs to have gameplay and can't just tell the story like movies it so badly wants to be.
>LITERALLY BEING ANGRY THAT PAYING REVIEWERS DIDN'T GET YOUR GAME HIGHER SCORES
So ads aren't getting pulled, devs are just asshurt. Good, maybe next time they won't spit on the medium they create products for. I'm sure they're talented people, but The Order's artistic goals were a terrible idea from square one.
