quick post the rarest thing you own
pics or it didnt happen you shit eating faggot
I actually have a book worth of first gen holographic pokemon/pocket monster cards, a good number of them first edition. I was a huge pokefag and collected them like crazy. I'd have to say about 400-500 holo cards total just sitting in my attic.
Are these actually worth something? I figured they weren't worth much and just keep them for sentimental value.
Not super rare but not exactly cheap or common either.
have some actual rare then
i have a bitch too we are literally not lucky people nor should we be bragging. it fucking sucks having a bitch, especially if shese stuck up and hates video games like mine and talks about throwing them away
Too lazy to take an honest look around, but this is definitely at leastva contender.
wow someone actually has the white 8gb version? thats rare.
gamestop was the exclusive retailer. and the price of it was like 80 bucks used. so to keep it rare and expensive they ordered more from nintendo, opened them all up and sold them as used for 80 dollars. killing the rareness of xenoblade.
i coulda sold my sealed copy for 200-300 before that happened. now sealed copies are 100 and used are 50
thanks i got it when it was still like 20 bucks
I don't care how rare it actually is. This is my prized gaming possession.
I personally have a copy of Conkers Bad Fur Day. It's a little rough, but works great. Pretty happy with the 30 I paid for it in 2008. Other than that, I have about 70 Nes games ranging from dirt cheap to about 60 bucks. Same for the Genesis, although games for the Genesis are either 1-20 bucks, or 60 and up. Not much of a middle ground with the system, but thankfully, the majority of the library is super cheap and fun to collect for.
Not sure about how rare it is but I'm proud of it.
I also have a PAL copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga and Symphony of the Night, although the latter had been released on everything, ever and is less impressive nowadays.
I have an original boxed copy of Marathon too
I have the OST of Albert Odyssey Gaiden : Legend of Eldean
i got my copy of conker for 20 bucks back in 2008
Neither of those games are rare. Xenoblade was artificially inflated price wise by Gamestop in America thanks to it's exclusivity there. Gamestop sold new copies at one point as "Used" to justify selling them for 90 dollars a piece under the guise of them being worth more than gold. Also Dokapon Kingdom isn't actually rare either, it's just uncommon. Got a copy for 50 dollars a few years ago.
The same website that found the address of a girl who was throwing puppies into a river, an old woman who trapped cats in garbage bins and forced her into police hiding and the same website that raids children's twitch channels to give them views, yeah no morals on here.
>tfw looking through my collection and remembering the 100+ PS and PS2 games I took to a landfill years ago
I feel like a bad person. I like to imagine I didn't throw out something worth money, but I know I did.
quite rare where I came from
no pic because I'm lazy
I don't feel like taking pics, but
>mint copy of Lucienne's Quest for the 3DO (legit rare is fuck)
>mint copy of M.U.S.H.A.
>100% CIB Earthbound
>mint copy of Panzer Saga
>mint copy of Snatcher
>CIB Dragon Warrior IV
>CIB Bucky O'Hare
>Last of Us Post Pandemic Edition
>sealed FFXI Ultimate Seeker Edition for 360 (also legit rare as fuck, arguably the rarest seventh gen game)
All I can think of off the top of my head.
Pick your poison.
>All the Zeldas
>All the Marios
>Gauntlet Dark Legacy
>Timesplitters Future Perfect
>Fire Emblem PoR
Also got copies of Conker and Worms Armageddon on N64.
>mfw someone sold me a copy of Twilight Princess dirt cheap because he forgot he didn't have a manual
>bought one off eBay for a couple bucks
I don't really keep any track on if something's rare or not, it's just stuff I've bought through the years.
Is there anything of any real value here?
Things missing from pictures include my old NES with GameGenie, all my GBC and GBA games, my PS1 with games and some more small stuff. They're elsewhere for now.
Nice games but you will never have a copy of the best pokemon game ever signed by the best guys ever.
more or less the rarest thing i own (not my picture tho), never see it for sale
got this back in 2004/5 for the melee debug menu
>gen 6 is bad
>gen 6 totally isn't one of the top gens of the series at all
>bland and linear region
>absolutely no post game content
>only 70 new pokemon
>shit graphics even by 3DS standards
Remind me how gen VI isn't one of the worst gens again.
Eh, something like this, I guess? More or less.
I'm not that into the value of shit I've already bought, especially when they turn rare and expensive after the fact.
Some of my rarest stuff. The things on the right are Valis complete (only 2000 copies printed), and a vinyl model of Yuko from Valis 2 (I'm sure there aren't that many still floating around). Also, Under defeat has the poster, but I'm not pulling it off the wall to show it off.
I guess this is my rarest vidya-related thingy, along with the Steel Battalion controller.
Pic related. My mom bought a new copy for me for $20 when I was a kid since our local Toysrus was closing down and discounting games. Now it's worth around $100 used on ebay, but it's one of my favorite games of all time so I'm definitely never getting rid of it.
>yellow not with red and blue
>ruby not with sapphire
>silver not with gold
>hg not with ss
>crystal not with silver and gold
>pearl not with diamond
>diamond and pearl not with platinum
>firered not with leafgreen
>black not with white
>black 2 not with whitw 2
>alpha sapphire not with omega ruby
>entire thing aligned with no rhyme or reason as if on purpose
Where are you trying to buy it from?
CC2's Amazon always has it in stock
How about rare shit I dont have anymore? Hopefully this will please some of the jelly sadist.
Lost a copy of Tomba. Really butthurt about that. Quite sure someone stole it. Also lost Gamecube Ocarina of Time disc. I know that one had to have been stolen. Wouldnt part with that.
I have a Conkers bought from retail first day it ever game out. What upsets me is the sticker is half rubbed off. I never took care of games as a kid. I kind of want to get a nice new copy but I'll keep this one. Holds a lot of nostalgia.
Also found out Digimon World is considered a little rare recently. I still have mine but somehow the front of the case is gone. Must have gotten shattered. Too bad cause it could have brought in some dough.
Other games I no longer have and pretty damn sure I never sold: Mario Party, Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie/Tooie, Smash 64, Pokemon Stadium, and Pokemon Snap. Thats just off the top of my head. Im sure there's more. Those might not be super rare but I'd love to have them in my collection again and they're going for more than I'd be willing to pay for them.
Luckily im not missing anything from snes. I actually got real lucky and my friend gave me a shit load of snes games and his nintendo snes carrying case because his snes was broken. True bro. Was like 30+ games to add to my collection.
Let's see if you guys can guess which one of these is my rarest.
My games are all packed up because I'm moving this weekend, but this is my rarest game.
Caltron 6 in 1. I have the manual but no box. Probably gonna try and sell it for around 450$
Well, the P4G gold box is expensive as fuck, but still available afaik.
A lot if NISA LEs, which are not rare at all, so are Aksys' and Squeenix's stuff.
The MGS4 and Catherine boxes look like promotional items, so they might actually be pretty rare.
However, what's that game with the Jack Frost in a Kuntnigga outfit? Is it actually DS2? I've never heard of a LE of it, so if that's the case, that's the one I'm going with.
Can't really say anything about the PSo games, though.
Hey I have xenoblade chronicles for the wii but I couldn't get into after playing for like 15 hours, so im not very attached to it. How much can I sell it for non shrink wrapped but with artbook and everything?
Not only complete in box but factory sealed.
It's probably the second rarest thing in the picture.
A girlfriend that sucks my cock while I play videogames.
Take this, /v/.
>The MGS4 and Catherine boxes look like promotional items, so they might actually be pretty rare.
The MGS4 disc came with the Limited Edition game I got from Gamestop and the Catherine thing is just an art book and soundtrack CD that came bundled with some of the regular editions of the game.
>However, what's that game with the Jack Frost in a Kuntnigga outfit? Is it actually DS2? I've never heard of a LE of it, so if that's the case, that's the one I'm going with.
It is indeed the LE for DS2. Pretty interesting but still not my rarest.
I'll even give you guys a hint. It was released within the last 6-7 months.
I have the pictures somewhere, would anyone like to see it? Rarest thing I own is probably a draft script for the first pirates of the caribbean movie signed by Jerry Bruckheimer. I wonder how much it would be worth.
Got it in 2009 from a used game place in Japan for about 90$. The Mother 1+2 cart isn't as rare but I got them both at the same time.
Getting closer. It's not one of the vita games in that picture but it is a vita game. If you can't find which one it is after that hint I feel sorry for your google skills.
The "Love is over" Edition is still pretty available, and even at a reasonable price, usually.
Damn, that's nice. I saw the plush puppet from time to time, being sold at a pretty rediculous price (coming from someone who imports fumos), never figured it was part of a limited edition.
> It's not one of the vita games in that picture
> If you can't find which one it is after that hint I feel sorry for your google skills
But that's cheating.
Is there a limited edition of it?
I don't know how rare it is but I have every Nintendo Power up to issue 232, most of them are in good condition, although there's a few that have fucked staples but I tried not to read those too much so that the pages wouldn't fall out.
I also have a ton of antiques but those aren't vidya
Not him, but the remakes are quite common in every market but Europe's.
The originals, however...
Muramasa LE was sold at the same price as the regular edition when I bought it, so I doubt that's the one.
Minus the controllers and memory card. I'd love to know where I could find some.
rare enough for you?
not the rarest thing I own, but one of my favourite limited editions
I also got the deluxe box in 2009, paid $100 off yahoo auctions.
Also I think the Mother 1+2 cart is kind of expensive, not sure if rare, but expensive for sure, at least for a GBA game. I think it doesn't go below $50.
I got the regular Mother 1+2 (that is, not the "best selection" ver) and it came with a Mr. Saturn phone strap, paid about 20 bucks for it back then.
>The "Love is over" Edition is still pretty available, and even at a reasonable price, usually.
Yeah I know. I've just been really lazy on collecting lately and haven't had the drive to order it.
>Damn, that's nice. I saw the plush puppet from time to time, being sold at a pretty rediculous price (coming from someone who imports fumos), never figured it was part of a limited edition.
Yeah. It sat unsold in the video game store I used to work at for months until I just decided to buy it. It's pretty cheap on ebay. Just search "Devil Summoner 2 Collector's Edition" and you should find several buy it nows for ~$60.
You're the closest so I'll just give it to you guys.
It's the Neptunia Re;birth 1 Limited Edition. Only 1000 copies made and Iffy only sold them through amazon for like $52. I camped the amazon page until 2am and they sold out in literally less than a minute. I managed to get a copy and they sell on ebay for about $450 right now.
just looking at those booster packs gives me so much fucking nostalgia man.
>you will never open up a fresh first edition booster pack your dad just bought you in the car ride home ever again.
Shitty camera because I blew all my money on Amazing Tater.
No, not really, it was 15 bucks on a yard sale.
>CD-i Dragon's Lair
Where the hell did you get that and why did you buy it?
Can't be bothered fishing it out from some cabinet somewhere so here's a google picture.
Though I'm not sure if the PAL version is less expensive. And I don't have a cover or anything.
Hell, not ever sure it works anymore since it's been so long I've tried it.
I collect horror games, I don't have a good camera on me right now but here's what I've got so far
There's some things with horror elements on here like Shadow Hearts, so it's not a pure survival horror list but it's got some decently rare things
dont know if actually rare, but rarest thing i own
>oblivious to the aftermarket price
>that apparent scratch on it
In near-mint it goes for around $100 or so, used you can probably sell it for $70-80
I got it out of a woman's trunk along with Siren, Extermination, RE Outbreak and RE Code: Veronica for a $20 GameStop gift certificate. They wouldn't let her trade in her son's old PS2 games and she was going to throw them away so I took whatever worked for me, she wanted to just give them to me but I insisted on giving her something.
I hunt pawn shops and yard sales for half of my stuff, you'd be surprised at the deals you can find.
>oblivious to the aftermarket price
>that apparent dust on it
One of a kind, though somewhat beaten up from when the location test was happening
Rarest thing ever - original STALKER:SoC collector's edition in a real tin bucket.
I don't have a pic but I have this with everything and the pre order CD.
I also have a a lot of Japanese complete games like Fire Emblem 1, 3, and shit.
>Not only complete in box but factory sealed.
Is that how American games were sealed? That's some cheapy shrink wrapping. In PAL-land they were sealed with heavier plastic and a Nintendo pull strip. EB Games and GAME tried to constantly reseal shit with a shrink wrapper and pass it off as new.
Did those noodleniggers really release Mothers 1-3 on GBA and not bring them to the West?
I have a Sega Multi Mega.
I bought it like 10 years ago for 300€.
I still wonder why I wasted 300 fucking euros in something like that.
Well, anon, how many games can you name that come in tin buckets?
To be fair, it most likely would've sold like shit here.
Not actually releasing it here probably made way more people interested in it. Forbidden candy and all that jazz.
>Still, didn't they fail to bring that to the US?
>Didn't we only get Mother 2 as Earthbound?
They did fail to, and we did only get Earthbound
Because the series didn't sell well here, and imagine americans with Earthbound's themes ten years ago
They dealt with that once before and hated it
>You will never be Shantae.
I had a lot of those as a kid and they got stolen.
Now that I have money I ordered a bunch of used games from Amazon and realized that all of my TVs are too new to support an N64.
Now I have to wait for cables.
I once had the opportunity to buy a giant cardboard display of Sonic from the early 90s. (Like pic related, but the size of an adult.) Guy selling it just wanted to get rid of the shit.
I didn't buy only because it would've been a really fucking stupid space waster to own.
i have that, no clue it was rare though
Why the fuck are you aligning Pearl/Y with Ruby/Gold? They're NOT the red versions, Diamond/X are. Just because the color scheme is more akin to the blue side doesn't mean they're not Red.
Fuck you, nigger.
I do own this, however.
It's no longer on my wall, though, might happen if I get a bigger apartment or house some day with space for a vidya room.
>Puts cartridge in N64.
>Turns on N64.
>Poes start pouring out of the screen into your room
I have this
I also have Lunar 2, but not the box set with all the cool shit.
is this better
I've tried 2, and several phone apps.
I'm starting to think that something's wrong with the sensors, but I'm really hoping that's not the case because if it is then those TVs are basically useless.
I thought you stacked them straight up in the thumbnail for a sec
not my rarest. but def my fav game on sega as a kid.
>inb4 there was a snes version
i know niger
tfw you were a retard who sold all your older consoles.
holy shit thats brilliant i will do it
>collecting that many ds game
shiggy diggy do
I wouldnt want your neckbeard life m8. don't worry.
tfw bought them all back after getting a job
Not my picture cause I'm not home but yeah, off the top of my head probably this game
sega exclusive coming through.same people who did earthworm jim
Had it for nearly 10 years
New game when?
These aren't very rare, but I did get the book for two dollars online from an old book site. I don't think the owner knew how much it was worth.
cool, enjoy that fat ugly bish. Ill enjoy my 5'8 skinny, nerdy grill I just started dating.
nah she has good taste in vidya, and is nice. I think I dun gud so far
The book was around $400 until suddenly a ton showed up on Amazon. Now they're maybe $32 a piece.
The game I bought for $80 two or so years ago. Now I can't find any online except an unopened PC copy on Amazon for $800, though I think that's a lot more than anyone would actually pay for it.
The only moderately expensive games I own. Don't have access to a camera as I'm at work, sorry.
Also have REmake and Tales of Symphonia in excellent condition, but those dropped in price significantly after they got rereleased.
>implying your "pale GURL GAMER" is better than my lebanese slut who cooks and obeys my every command and who also hates video games just like me
Oh shit, don't know how I missed it. I also own a copy of Digimon World.
There's some rare stuff in there. But my rarest thing is... (1/2)
Sorry for the shit quality, my phone was dead and I had to use the 3ds camera.
when you have a girl you've never "done gud"
bitches are a crutch. mine talks about throwing away my video games
she knows i would leave her ass if she even tried to throw something i own away to make a point i dont fuck around with bitches
The best figure in all time.
you're that guy that stores his games shitty. i remember this pic. this chick isn't like the shitter girls you bring over, or your dumb friends with kids who come and knock your games over so that you have to re stack that autist shit. lol
i have the twins, just didnt put the game in the picture because it was at my dorm
i had a factory sealed bomberman 64 second attack i sold for 650 dollars
Feel free to read the spines
i dot imgur dot com slash o1K9101 dot jpg
I don't own a camera, but I own Mario Party 3 with box and manual.
Not most people know this, but that shit goes for a like 60 dollars minimum for just the cartridge.
I have a pre-alpha Minecraft account.
It shouldn't be rare here since this is where Notch went before going full Jew, but there sure are fewer pre-alpha than anything else.
Any other pre-alpha bros out there?
A person donated a bunch of boxed (not sealed) SNES games to my thrift store I used to work out. Chrono trigger was one of the games and I just walked out with it after my shift ended. One of the only benefits to having a closing shift at one of those places.
why not just post the imgur link you fag
I've got Conker's Bad Fur Day, Xenoblade and Metroid Prime Trilogy and some other expensive shit, but i don't think they're rare.
However i do think my CIB Harvest Moon SNES and Harvest Moon 64 are indeed rare.
>mfw put the Xenoblade disc in my Mario Galaxy 2 Gamestop case
>mfw threw it out thinking I'd never play SMG2 again
First print bayo 2 still sealed
Sengoku Basara 4 collector's edition sealed
Megami Tensei 1 + 2
I don't think I have anything actually rare but some cool stuff?
this was back when /v/ was hyping the shit out of minecraft when it was just an in browser flash game with like 5 blocks, then we got indev and it was great
The easiest way to tell the version of OoT you have is the serial code impression on the rear warning label.
If it's ##, it's 1.0
If it's ##A, it's 1.1
##B is 1.2
Gold carts are usually 1.0, but can be 1.1
Grey can be anything.
I have a grey 1.1, which means I get the red blood, the crescent moon shield, and the fire temple chanting.
i have one of those. they are completely worthless everyone on here was tricked into buying minecraft
As far as PS2 games, these are pretty rare and amazing.
Got this guy for free at a toys r us around me. They just wanted to get rid of him. Also got a tails and mario statue but the mario one i donated to my gradeschool when i was little.
>They put it in the pre k room
>visit a few years later and they got rid of him
Never saw that fat fuck again
Simple question, but why don't you get rid of the price tags? those yellow bars everywhere are making the collection looks like a second hand shop. I can give you tips on how to remove sticky stickers if you want, finding the perfect strategy wasn't easy.
Depends on the game
Some it's because ShitStop put it on the cover and I don't want to ruin it. Others it's because I found it for such a bargain price that I want to see it (pic related). Others I'm just lazy
Super Mario Galaxy Original Sound Track (Platinum Version)
I lost it somewhere at my parents' house and I have no idea where it is. It hurts so much.
>ambassador edition new 3ds
is the only difference the plate?
Not a lot.
I've had to get rid of most of my cool vidya shit for bills over the years.
I still have Wii Dokapon Kingdom, Rule of Rose, Haunting Ground and R.A.D.
I also have that LE version of Nocturne from Japan that comes with the incense burner.
>tfw had enough points to buy this on club Nintendo for years but held back because I was hoping for something better to come along
>tfw they sold out a few months before announcing they were closing it down
Being a European gamer that isn't just a COD and FIFA pleb is suffering.
I bet it doesn't even have a counter weight. Throw away that Crosley trash.
I'm not at home now, but I have a small collection of like 10ish complete Neo Geo AES carts.
I have all the Metal Slug games except 3 (which is the hardest to find), King of the Monsters 2, Aero Fighters 2, Last Blade 1 and 2, Magician Lord and some horse racing game I got for free with my AES.
I think it's Stakes Winner.
These are all Japanese carts, but due to how the AES works, the BIOS determines the region/language of the game, and I have a switch in the back to go between English and Japanese.
I also have a few Jamma arcade boards, but I've only just started collecting those.
NBA Jam Tournament Edition (needs a new audio cable), Alien vs Predator (I fucking LOVE CPS2 pcbs), and Xmen 4 player arcade game, which needs some repairs to the audio circuitry.
Records are really heavy; stacking them like that puts pressure on the record in a way that can permanently warp them, making them unplayable or damaging them.
That's why you always see them vertically in pictures.
it makes sense after i thought about it. Records work because the needle reads the tiny indents in the record itself to make sound. Apply pressure on top of it for long enough and those indents get dulled and wont play. at least thats my theory
the plastic fucks up over time thanks to gravity if you stack.
pic related, i got so much shit for stacking my gamecube games like this. and the ones on the bottom became warped
U.S. Xenoblade unopened
Paper mario TTYD unopened
Ni no kuni us wizard edition unopened
Class of heroes 2g unopened, not even out of the shipped box so I don't know what variant it is
Dunno how rare you consider these but one piece romance dawn and tales of symphonia collectors edition unopened (listed because they have a limited number made. Got both cheap.)
Kirbys return to dreamland and Pikmin 3 unopened cheap as well.
Pokemon blue unopened.
These games are the only ones I know, that sell for $30+. I probably have a shitton more, but I don't feel like looking. I know for sure, that One Piece and Super Smash Bros sells for $60+
I have over 80 N64 games, I wouldn't be surprised. If one of them sell for a lot as well.
>I can give you tips on how to remove sticky stickers if you want
If it's on a water-proof surface, goo gone.
If it's on paper, use a hair dryer to heat the sticker until it can be removed easily, then rub some white flour onto any remaining residue, heat again, and gently rub away.
Magic eraser can work too.
wow since when was megaman 64 rare? i have a sealed copy too i got for like 10 bucks
times sure have changed
