Bloodborne comes out in exactly 1 month today
aren't you guys afraid that it might suck? The game seems like it will be a lot easier to get thru NG, but the difficulty will spike huge with NG+ just to get more of the general audience to get into their games if they want to yearly rehash this series.
hopefully it will be a good game. i kind of feel bad for you sonyggers with all your shit exclusives that's come out so far.
>The game seems like it will be a lot easier to get thru NG, but the difficulty will spike huge with NG+ just to get more of the general audience to get into their games if they want to yearly rehash this series.
ive seen nothing that indiciates this. All we've seen is the equivalent of Undead Burg, afterall.
I personally dont mind if the game is easy or hard, thats not what makes me love demons souls or dark souls. The fact that the games are "challenging" is just a coincidence. As long as the combat is fun, there are interesting weapons, and the bosses and art design are good, im getting the game.
So far, all the weapons, bosses and areas theyve shown have looked really interesting to me
I don't know why people complained so much about the solo portion of Dark Souls 2. It was enjoyable, challenging at times, environments were fairly varied. And the DLC areas were fucking fantastic.
Of course, the PVP sucked, that's what killed the game for me. But the rest was really good.
There's been a beaked helmet though, right? I'm not complaining, I've liked the docs since AC Brotherhood.
It's a shame I can only play Bloodborne vicariously through a friend.
Fuck blowing 400+ burgercoins for one game
I'm just scared the Regain system might have fucked the entire games design. Every preview has reinforced by theory on this. Every enemy encounter is either a group of enemies or enemies that can chain-stun slap you to death.
The system forces these states. Otherwise it would be extremely easy to just regain the HP you lost and go about your business.
I care about the quality of the game that's handed to me, not about the complaints and struggles of the dev team. If I gave a single shit about the latter, I'd be playing all Molyneux game and praising them as the best things ever.
The way they balanced it is by having the enemies patrol the area, so you have the choice of sneaking past them and taking them on in smaller groups or taking them on all at once.
Also the regain system was definitely OP in the alpha, you would regain quote a bit of your health back with every retaliatory attack, however the new footage nerfed that quite a bit.
so I'm not worried at all
Oh yeah, the map was shit. The world design in Dark Souls was fucking glorious, three-dimensional with everything interconnected, traveling between areas was quick and fun.
In comparison, Dark Souls 2's world is completely flat and would be a bore to explore without fast travel.
That is literally one area in the demo area. Other preview footage shows groups of rats, women cleavers, theres another preview thing where there are literally a dozen enemies on screen at a time, I don't doubt the last one is one of those he ran past all the enemies to get the shot but come on. The evidence is there. Along with you ignoring the enemies chain-stun your ass to oblivion point I have. Which is something that cannot be argued.
>groups of rats
totally haven't seen that in a souls game before
he rushed straight into them, of course he was going to get overwhelmed
its not that far off to assume they might have patrolling patterns as well
There is no way this is going to fail. People spent 500 dollars just to play it. If it's shit, the delusional damage control focused on bloodborne will escalate so much, that Hitler will revive in the body of some random trans Loli because there will not be enough damage control left on planet earth to suppress his spirit.
You know what I'm worried about? Parries being too easy. It seems like you're just using your gun to interrupt opponents' attacks, and from what I've seen, the timing seems extremely permissive. It might work well with the faster paced combat but learning to time my parries was always one of my favorite parts of Dark Souls.
Not after I played the alpha last year, if the whole game is as atmospheric as what I played and the gameplay as solid it will be a winner.
Only two things I'm worried about, FPS consistency and PVP
I'm pissed off about that delay, but not as much as I should be. The fact that I'll have bloodborne to fill my time will make it not as bad.
Fuck, I just want a first person urban chaos simulator! Is that so much to ask!
You should always make sure a platform has enough games you are interested in before buying it.
Bloodborne isn't going anywhere, you can put off the purchase a few months if you wanna wait for more you're interested in.
it's not supposed to be in the game
the giants are fucking huge, there would be no way to fight them
>b-b-but dragon god
yeah all the giants are going to be chained with ballistas pointed at them, that's fun gameplay
I'm waiting for Silent Hills. If that turns out good, I'll buy a used PS4 for that and Bloodborne. Until then, the console remains shit with one good exclusive and a bunch of decent multiplats that are cheaper and look better on my PC.
>People are excited
>it must be shit
/v/ hipster logic right there.
Godspeed anon. Though personally I'm pretty certain Silent Hills will be multiplat anyway, I know its only been officially confirmed for ps4 but I don't see why everyone i so certain it will be exclusive, absolutely no one has said it would be.
We've only seen 2 armor sets and the starting cloths(assuming the starting cloths are the same for everyone)
No they're not. They've confirmed that there are head, hands, feet and body slots for armor just like every souls game. And that there are plenty of kinds of armor. Saying "There's only trench coats" because thats what they've shown off is like saying ds only had the elite knight armor because thats all they used in previews.
I still wonder how many weapons we're gonna get. I'm guessing it will be fewer then other games, if only because we won't have so many near identical swords of various sizes.
10 bucks this game will suck cock and will never be talked about 1 month after its release.
Seem like it, Just look at all the enemies and how most of them are wearing something sickdark.
Should I buy a PS4 to play bloodborne?
No. I mean, I'm confident the game will be at least good enough to enjoy it genuinely, but there's no way one single game can justify the purchase of a console (or a PC, or any hardware in general). If you didn't get a PS4 before because you had no interest in it, don't buy one just for Bloodborne. ESPECIALLY NOT before the release (you never know). Just wait till games flow better. In addition, it might have a lower price then.
So no, one game is never worrth any system purchase. Also, PS4 is dissapointing right no, so that's an even bigger "no way". I kinda own a PS4, mostly because my roomate wanted to buy one, so I paid a part of it and he pays the game; but I would have been pissed off I had bought it alone. It doesn't worth that much money right now.
I can't because no matter what I say you're just gonna say it's bad because level of hype and quality of the game are subjective.
The only games I was really hype for recently were indie shit on PC like Besiege, Reassembly and Sunless Sea. And those all turned out fine. Last big game I was hype about was MGR and that was basically exactly what I expected out of the game and I enjoyed it a lot.
Fuck, you're probably gonna point to "The Order" or some shit that no one was hype for as how a recent game failed right?
There are only two possible outcomes:
>game is mediocre
Pure sonygger assdevastation, buyers remorse and mustard shitposting for at least three months in every sony related thread
>game turns out to be 10/10 GOTY
Mustard assdevastation which is already on the rise reaches critical mass despite nitpicking worst 9/10 scores and webm taken from blurry 240p youtube footage which leads to /v/ implode with PCuck tears
I would enjoy both scenarios but it looks like we get the second one.
>tfw want to play this game but can't justify buying a PS4 because kinda poor
Oh Gunblade name is also unknown.
Did you watch the commentary video or read any info on the game? The grouped enemies are world hazards, they move around and you are expected to avoid them or die. It's not like das2 where random bunches of enemies were mandatory.
A long time, a very long time I have waited for a single good spookytime monster themed game. But every one ever made sucks, vtmb included. Then all this teen vampire shit happens and no one can bring themselves to tolerate any of it.
And then this theme is put into my favorite video game series, and people will think im some kind of edge shit for playing it.
I want to play it so much.
>tfw you live in a third world country where monthly wage is 260 euros and most of it goes to taxes.
I can't afford neither games neither a PS4.
I want a game like DS/DaS but not with everything shitty, the world has gone to shit, everybody is fucking evil or a soul jew, you got to wonderful places such as
>dark forest's basin
facing enemies such as
>blobs of shit that rub shit on you
>zombie black knights
>black 4 handed skelly
>skellies on wheels
in fact, this is probably why so many people ask for 'X game with Soul series combat', because they want a Souls game that isn't this everything grimdark
I like the atmosphere, but 3 games is enough, and now another one just like them is coming out. It'll most likely be good asides from very likely framerate issues, but still, come on From
Goddamit, if it's good, I'm going to have to finally fucking buy a PS4.
I don't wanna.
I want KH3 and FF15 to come to PC.
