Which chromatic door did you go through first? Did you ally or betray?
Did Tenmyouji first because he was a cool old guy. Allied him all the way. No regrets.
>That goddamn letter at the end
I need to run through the game from the beginning knowing who sigma is. Though I would rather have a new game. ZE3 plz. Oh also I did all the ally choices first, Fucking Alice.
He deleted this post, but there's enough evidence on the page itself that it was there from comments.
I was so fucking pissed when he betrayed me.
I d-didn't cry. I swear!
>Choosing a chromatic door at the beginning
>Not pulling the lever to the number 9 door and fucking everyone over
Come on anon. You even get bonus points for pushing Dio through.
Yeah, you get stuck at the computer in the office. Sigma gets so buttflustered about his shit hacking skills, he flings himself into another timeline so he can learn it there.
Original anime about a boy whose spirit was separated from his body and will destroy the world if he looks at women's underwear or something like that. Looks like a harem show but the staff and TV block it's airing on are pretty unfitting for that. It's a weird project.
I kind of like how it humanizes them in some cases. The VLR swimsuit pictures are fairly tasteful, and they just show the girls having some innocent fun, which isn't really something you get to see in the game because of all the life-or-death stuff.
I couldn't cry at Luna's end but Quark's letter made be tear up like a bitch.
Duh it's official. Look at the chunsoft logo and the fine print. Here is more official art.
And of course if you browse the Japanese website you'll find that pointless mini game.
I don't know. They fucked up big time with her VLR outfit. Even the pic of Clover in a swimsuit is better. Her VLR outfit is just ugly.
I know that was the reason given for her outfit but that's a difficult pill to swallow for me. The devs should have just taken her original outfit from 999 as a template and modified that for VLR.
Fuck Dio. He blamed Quark for betraying Alice, and I believed him because Quark was so overtly innocent-seeming, and Dio was so obviously evil that it had to be setting up for a twist where Dio wasn't so bad. Seemed like a real bro when I gave him a chance. Son of a bitch stole my medicine and injected me with poison.
No, Alice was kind of a bitch. Which is kind of okay, since it's mostly for a good reason, but when she betrayed Sigma in round two, I just couldn't forgive her. I got so much pleasure from going back to betray her in round one.
What I hated was the fact that before the game ever came out, during the advertising of the characters they mentioned Dio being a douche but with a heart deep inside, even saving kitties and shit.
They fucking lied to me, I'm so mad.
I did the same, and I actually kind of liked that, since Sigma was as confused as I was, and it really sold me on the idea that Phi has been making jumps completely independent from mine.
The best way to tackle the game is by starting Luna's route, followed by K, Quark and Tenmiouji, followed by Clover, Luna's full route again, Sigma's route and finally Alice's and Phi's route. Not the correct order but I don't remember exactly the time jumps.
Makes the game much more shocking.
My friends and I have never beat VLR.
We even each have a copy of it (three of us).
Shit got in the way of our jobs because we would play it at work and nothing would get repaired.
Should we finally play through it and finish it?
Should I really play 999 first? I can emulate it and I have a flashcart.
Am I the only one who thought the reveal that Tenmyouji is Junpei wasn't that mind-blowing?
Maybe it's just the route order I took, but I'd already figured out that we were in the future by the time I saw his picture of Akane.
Start with 999
And if you just wanna get the crash course on the plot for 999 before starting VLR, get the iOS version. Its basically just a book where you make some decisions. The puzzles are cut out.
In the past I played the DS version of 999 but never finished it and got tired of replaying the puzzles repeatedly. So I just got the iOS version to see the ending.
Oh, I dunno then
I don't remember
Is this one of the path's where hes actually K or is it one of the ones where hes Akane?
In stasis. Which means hes basically fucked as he still has Radical 6 and is the only one left besides K apparently. But yeah, they aren't gonna show a kid dead.
They took something very precious from him. He took it back.
It seems a bit unfair to Quark that's so protected by the narrative. He grew up in the post-apocalypse. He's probably seen more hardcore shit than Sigma or Phi.
He was Kyle.I think he probably was just having difficulty killing himself with the armor on. Maybe he was elsewhere, beating his head against a steel wall.
The only thing I didn't really like was that on nearly every fucking ending where someone else gets 9 points, they simply manage to walk away through the door. But when YOU get 9 points, everyone gangs up on you and doesn't let your sorry old ass free.
>tfw betraying Luna to get every ending
>betraying her after she trusts you for allying with her in the first round
I can't remember, whatever happened to Santa? Didn't he
run away with Akane? Maybe it was explained in VLR but I can't remember
>mfw I wouldn't even doubt that
UCHIKOSHI MAKE THAT FUCKING GAME ALREADY
This was one of my problems with VLR. Jumping though time and using your magical Zero powers was cool, but it made each route's ending feel incomplete. Each individual ending was building to the awesome climax that never came. We actually were supposed to value those endings by themselves.
Hes working on a new game but he hasn't said whether its ZE3 or a new IP.
Temper you're expectations though, the first two did pretty poorly in japan, regardless of their success elsewhere, thats something japanese companies don't particularly like.
What were your retarded theories going through 999 or VLR?
I thought Sigma and Phi were advanced androids with quantum computers for brains, so the 'jumps' were just different possible outcomes.
I thought Sigma and Phi were part of the Myrmidon cloning project, since K's face looked like Sigma, Phi also had the ability to jump, and I thought their names might be a reference to which generation of clone they were or some shit.
At the start I figured something retarded was going to happen with K and have him be Sigma from an alternate timeline or something that the suit holds into this one
I was surprisingly close
>he hasn't played the game
get out while you can anon
Thanks to this fucking game I didn't sleep that night
some guy named Sagemaster15 did a let's play but he didn't talk over the voiced dialogue.
He's got a really irritating voice and is horrible at commentary but if you want to hear some dub voices then check his playthrough out.
After seeing the
Zero hologram, I used the process of elimination to determine who was Zero. He was a guy, and he was one of them. It couldn't be Dio because Dio is a terrorist and is trying to stop Zero's plans. It couldn't be Tenmyouji because he was an old man, and this Zero was also old, and they weren't the same person. It couldn't be Quark because... well, I guess it could have been. But it would have been too fucking stupid because Quark was young and also seemed to be useless. It was either Sigma or K, and since they both looked the same (or so I thought), something fishy was definitely going on.
My theory was that
Zero was an old man Sigma that came to the past to start the Nonary Game for a reason I didn't know. And part of it involved cloning a younger version of himself to make K. I was kind of right, but I didn't expect Sigma to be the fucking old man himself. That was a great twist.
I allied her in the first playthrough, so I was pissed.
I also think it's kind of funny. "You betrayed me in another timeline even though you had no control over it because according to Schrodingers Cat, the other option will always happen in another timeline. But since you still betrayed me in that other timeline, I'm going to betray you to get you back."
I was hoping maybe it would be just him letting the cutscenes play out on auto and he'd only talk during the Escape chapters.
I'll just load up the game if I ever want to rewatch something.
I mean other than establishing the whole Schrodinger's Cat thing firmly and that Phi has the same abilities as you, it did feel kind of silly.
To the point that the game even acknowledges it and is like "Why did I even do that" if you chose Ally first then betray.
I wish you had a third page for notes
I always use the first page for the current puzzle that Im on and the second page for the notes I need across paths. But I don't have enough room to write everything down, and I have trouble writing smaller on the 3ds screen.
Also do the notes only start blurring when you actually finish a path? I kept an eye on my notes for nearly the entire game and they didn't really blur at all even with all the switching, then I completed a few paths in a row and checked my notes and they were super blurred.
I allied with her first. It felt a lot like when I played VtM:B. At the museum level I went right instead of left, and then I turned around and saw the dinosaur propped up against the wall.
It would have been a lot more effective had I gone left first
I just took notes on paper because trying to write with my finger on the Vita's touchscreen was a pain.
Didn't find out until after I finished the game that the notes you take blur.
It's just how I think of it. Two active series with a similar concept (trap a group of people and force them to play by their rules to escape) but different execution (escape by solving these rooms/ escape by getting away with murder.)
I'm not even gonna look at this fucking thread you niggers, although I really want to. I'm balls deep into the game and have just completed every path up to their lock point, and am currently busy unlocking the ends to them. Fuck this game is way better than I thought it was going to be.
I can't even remember. My very first ending was the one where you hit a computer terminal and need the password and the game just ends there because I didn't have it.
My favorite characters were Luna and Dio though, so pretty sure I went for them next.
you can definitely cheat
and this is what happened to me, minus the cheating
didn't even know what was behind that screen and I definitely wasn't prepared
why can't best girl be happy
I mean I got the justification for it, its a neat idea. It just seemed that they stayed fine for the majority of the game, then blurred right before I needed them.
Also unrelated but I wish the picture captchas would be of stuff thats not food more often. I have basically nothign to eat until saturday and they are making me hungry.
Im just saying for me the blur didn't seem very distinct. I kept checking my notes for the majority of the game, after multiple jumps, and for the most part it was still pretty legible. I had to rewrite a few things but the majority was fine. Then i stop paying attention for a few endings that I got in a row, and next time I check its almost illegible.
She was based on a real person from the Mars incident.
