It'll never happen of course.

Four of these people are getting cut from the roster, as there can only be seven lights. Maybe five if they sub in Lea.
Who's not making it in?
Calling it now: Sora is not one of the seven lights, but saves the day anyway.
>I swore I would survive and be there to see what awaited beyond the keyblade war.
He's gonna be one of the 13 seekers of darkness and uses his powers over the heart to summon shadow verions of Ventus, Roxas, and Xion to kill you. (You play as Riku in this section)
If you don't think they're gonna bring back Xion and Roxas who somehow have their own body and mind and heart and let everyone have a happy ending considering this is a disney series, you're delusional.
>lose your body and heart to a guy that played you like a goddamn fiddle
>have so much hate for the guy that you are able to use your keyblade even better than him
Why was lingering will such a great fight?
We don't know exactly why he has it. We only know that he trained with Yen Sid while suspended in time or some shit.
You really should at least watch DDD's cutscenes, because the plot got even more fucked.
If Xehanort is a keyblade master, and that retained after he became Terranort, why don't Ansem, Seeker of Darkness and Xemnas use keyblades? Why did Xemnas need Xion and Roxas in the first place?
Because the ability to use a keyblade is related to the heart and since Xemnas has no heart, he can't use it. Ansem on the other hand is a heart personified and CAN use a keyblade. We literally see him wield one in his first fight with Sora while he's possessing Riku. Roxas can only wield a keyblade because he has Ventus's heart and Sora's body and soul.
King Mickey is the only person I’m 100% certain will be on Team Light. Any of the others could be Norted or just not one of the chosen. This is a Disney story so Mickey will be on the important team that saves the day.
And yeah I’m expecting Sora not to be on Team Light either. He failed his test and will find out he’s not one of the destined seven. He’ll deal with depression that he’s not the most important man in the universe like originally thought and then suddenly Oh shit the REAL final battle time to save the day again it’s my time to shine.
Terranort can use a keyblade because his heart and body are intact. He uses it to become a Heartless himself.
Ansem SoD uses a keyblade when he has Riku's body, albeit made from the princesses' hearts.
Xemnas can't use a keyblade because he's a nobody. Roxas actually has a heart so he's not a nobody in the same sense as the others, who are only slowly developing them again. Since Xemnas doesn't want to have a heart he probably can't access a keyblade.
Yes I know how fucking stupid all of this sounds.
Jesus how fucking convoluted is KH lore? I beat the first one as a kid and never beat the final battle in the second one. All I remember is Sora searching for Riku and Kairi. Then something about Ansem doing something with hearts. What is all this seven lights shit
Are Roxas and Ventus really different characters? If the heart is the sense of self in KH universe, and Roxas has Ventus's heart, doesn't have literally mean that they're the same guy? When Aqua wakes up Ventus who's the say he's not gonna suddenly get a rush of memories of his time as Roxas?
this is pure speculation with no proof
It's not even that convoluted. There's 7 games. If you play all of them, there's no confusion whatsoever. Plus the 7 lights is a concept that was INTRODUCED in Kingdom Hearts 1 with the 7 princesses of heart.
They're not. Roxas just looks like him because part of Ven's heart was with Sora, so when he turned into a heartless, there came Roxas looking like that.
It's not really "convoluted", it's just presented in an annoyingly confusing way.
Have you played the games?
Ventus is upbeat and determined. He's a lot like Sora except that he might be a little smarter and serious. He gets fucking depressed by the end of BBS but he always does what he needs to do to protect his friends, and is at peace with that.
Roxas is actually Sora's nobody -- he just had Ventus' heart so he looked like him and immediately had the ability to feel emotions. He also has the capacity for kindness and determination but all of the Organization and Ansem's bullshit left him bitter and angry. He displays a lot more anger and fury then Sora or Ventus ever do.
They'll all be their own people.
>aqua all by herself
This is one of the reasons I love Aqua. She has little to do with Nomura's obsession with clones and duplicates. She's just her own person with maybe a single past reincarnation(assuming that reincarnated theory is even correct, I'm not so sure)
I genuinely think that the big twist of III is that Sora is Kingdom Hearts itself born into a human body and that's why he has such a strong heart that has so many connections to it and makes so many friends.
happened before with billy zane
couldn't give less of a shit
He was definitely supposed to die in the opening but they wanted to use him more so he came back.
Him coming back as a human in DDD isn't surprising considering EVERY ORGANIZATION MEMBER comes back to life, and it was stated in previous games that killing a nobody just makes them return to human form.
Both. Fucker was supposed to die much earlier in KH2, but the development team (and maybe even Nomura) wanted him to live on.
He really should've died at the beginning against Roxas; that would've made Days even more depressing.
I should really get around to actually playing this fucking series. I remember being so interested in KH as a kid even though I probably never even left the first world and while I actually did play most of KH2 I don't think I ever took on the final boss.
Their heartless has to be killed, too. Pic related was Lea's heartless.
We only see Radiant Garden in DDD, which is where most of the organization came from. All the ones who weren't HALF XEHANORT woke up there together.
Marluxia, Demyx, Larxene, Luxord, and the rest are either back on whatever planet they originally became Heartless at, or part of the new Org XIII.
Get 1.5, 2.5, and 3D
All you need is a PS3 and a 3DS, and you can play the entire series. If you choose to not watch 358/2 days and Re:Coded the movies and actually play the games, they're both on DS so you're still good either way.
>use all the best org members in CoM
>get the opportunity to use them all again in Days
>fuck it kill them off after the first two hours
>leave all the shitty org members for KH2 and beyond
How do you think Roxas is going to react when he sees Ventus, or vice versa?
Who are the Seven Lights?
Will Xion be remembered by anyone?
(How) Will Terra break free from Xehanort's control?
Quickly, a theory. KH3 trailer had Sora finding Eraqus' keyblade, which Aqua had on her when she went to the dark place. She must be out, she's gonna bump into Sora, and we're going back to Castle Oblivion to pick up Ventus; Xion will probably play a role in C.O. too, somehow, due to her being erased from memories and C.O. being all about memories.
>use all the best org members in CoM
Days has shit gameplay and Re:Coded is only useful for the secret ending (if you care about the story. The gameplay is hella fun at least)
And even they don't get that much development outside Saix and Axel/Xion/Roxas.
"Sora, Donald and Goofy will attempt to search for seven guardians of light and the "Key to Return Hearts", while King Mickey and Riku search for previous Keyblade wielders, in an attempt to stop Master Xehanort's plan to balance the light and darkness"
Looks like Mickey and Riku are the ones that'll meet Aqua.
I picked up 1.5 like a year and a half ago, it's just forever backlogged. Been planning to get 2.5 but I figured I'd just wait until I actually beat 1.5 and chain of memories since it'd probably be cheap by then.
>If you choose to not watch 358/2 days and Re:Coded the movies and actually play the games, they're both on DS so you're still good either way.
Do those actually matter? I mean I wanna play the games but I've long since accepted the story's kind of a mess so I'm not desperately worried about knowing the details 100%.
Is Terra still under Xehanort's control? Shouldn't he have been restored to his former self along with Xehanort?
Calling it now that Ventus becomes a member of Xehanort XIII, since Xemnas was obsessed with locating his body.
Org Power Rankings
Smash things tier
Why bother tier
>Heart Power Bullshit Tier
>Post re-com Axel
>Most important: KH1, KH2, BBS
to be honest those were the only ones I really cared about, though that's mostly just because I feel like I owe it to myself to play the first two and always heard the latter was good. I was just planning to play CoM since it was on 1.5 anyway. I know nothing about 3D other than that the TWEWY guys apparently show up or something but I'll probably give it a look.
>trio of Riku, Mickey, and Aqua
Fuck yeah, that would be amazing. Make an entire game out of this trinity, Nomura.
CoM introduced the org and some other II characters so not playing would make you slightly confused in the beginning of two II but besides that it's not that special. The gameplay is hit and miss. Some people love it. Some hate it.
>No one knows why he can do it.
He literally asked for one.
Ven's wooden Keyblade wouldn't have worked.
Ventus is neither a Master or even Master level regardless, so he cannot perform Inheritance.
However, Lea goes to the Mysterious Tower and asks Yen Sid to teach him how to wield a Keyblade.
Hence, either Mickey or Yen Sid performed the Inheritance Ceremony with him and he was gifted a Keyblade through that.
Why couldn't they have just done Kingdom Hearts 3 when he was alive?! Why did they have to waste time with shitty spinoffs?!
I have a feeling that Terra will be the one to get rescued first. He needs to do a full MUH REDEMPTION story and for that to happen in completion it kind of needs to start early in the game.
Nah, Ventus is fine. The only person who knows where he is was Aqua, and guess what? She somehow told Xemnas, out of all people, about Ventus' whereabouts. That means that Xemnas is Marluxia of True Org - a traitor.
About Terra - he keeps silent about his whereabouts, so he's probably on the way to do his plan against Master Xehanort.
>Reno changes his name until his world is returned, just as Squall did
>he becomes a Nobody
I just hope Luxord comes back as not a dick such he wasn't all that dickish to began with and was the nicest one to Roxas in Days. Like, have him open up a interplanetary casino where you can play mini games to get new commands, and even have a friendly bout with him for a special keyblade or something.
I agree. He's definitely going to do some kind of redemption story.
which I really wantI don't think it'll happen early on, though.. Maybe mid to mid late game Aqua will have to fight Terranort again, and her light will help Terra overpower the bit of Xehanort in his heart.
>1.5 and 2.5 put on the Wiiu with exclusive Mario themed Keyblades
Re:coded is pretty much a sequel to CoM, as well as serving a similar purpose by bridging together KHII and 3D.
It also has connections to BbS, χ[chi], and will likely be brought back up in KHIII.
The game itself is really good, but if you'd rather save time the movie in 2.5 will suffice (it has two new scenes anyway).
Don't play Days. Like this guy said >>284954761 the manga is the best version of that story. The game is garbage and the movie is three hours that feels like nine.
Why can't Aqua just come back to the Realm of Light by her own? ALL the members of the organization can do it at will, plus Ansem who was exlied there and still made it back way before Aqua.
Aqua doesn't have the power of darkness so she can't open those shadow portals that everyone else did. And she doesn't have her own Keyblade so I guess that's why she can't open portals of light(like Terra did before fighting Eraqus) or make a Keyblade glider.
Already confirmed to not be in KH3.
Would you rather just mash X and occasionally Triangle again, like KH2? I found the commands to be fucking sick. Having to slowly work your way up to have some killer moves and plow through heartless was dank, although magic could do without being a command.
I thought she had it with her when she sent Terra out?
Lingering Sentiment is a special case. It's likely that it's just her armor, and him going to see it might be Terra's heart's influence.
>I thought she had it with her when she sent Terra out?
That's her masters keyblade. I guess since it's not her own personal keyblade she can still use it to fight but not do advanced shit like portals and gliders.
>Both Xehanort VAs dead
It seems the forces of light prevailed after all.
>TFW Leonard Nimoy died in your time and more will follow.
Funny thing - when Aqua sents her armor and Keyblade with Terranort, her Keyblade is Rainfell. When Braig and Ansem find amnesia Xehanort, her Keyblade near armor is Rainstorm.
The BBS crew's armor design makes my dick so rock hard. Do you even remember the hype when you saw this after KH2?
I got to be honest: When I first heard his voice I really didn't like it. But after playing BBS and DDD, I really grew to like it. Now I can't imagine Xehanort without his voice. Dang it. RIP for both of the VAs.
That was the craziest shit when I saw it, then they announced BBS and everyone shat themselves again even harder.
I still remember BHK.
Also skipped him summoning both keyblades for the first time and then proceeds to be major ass. That scene would look so fucking cool in HD
>KH2 secret ending
God I remember all the speculation after people unlocked that ending
>People thinking that the 3 in armor were Riku, Kairi, and Sora,
>People thinking that Riku, Sora, and Mickey died since their keyblades were all rusty and sticking out on the ground like that
>People thinking thjat Master X was Aerith because the silhouette looked rather effeminate or some shit.
Shit just got waaaaay more convoluted after 2.
It felt somehow worse in BBS though. I didn't get it until a while after it came out and the first cutscene made me honestly consider just torrenting the fantranslation of BBS Final Mix.
They would work fine if they acted like combo extensions and natural part of them. But they were separated too much, stiff and clunky. Most of high-level abilities were pretty much press triangle and watch a movie of characters doing something.
Also, magnet-skills were overpowered as fuck, even worse than in KH2
I wish they stuck with the first secret trailer's setting
>In the middle of a wasteland
>3 figures shrouded in heavy futuristic armor approach, each wielding an advanced keyblade never before seen
>in the center 3 of the ones most familiar to us lie, rusted and cracked, implying it had been ages since they have been utilized in battle.
>The 3 figures, while carrying their own remove each keyblade with a hint of wonder
>Keyblades as far as the eye can see stuck in the ground, long since it was last held by their users
This had all the signs that could have been a sequel that took place aeons in the future that would have left Sora's story behind, and would have moved onto a brand new story which could have been awesome.
While I'm not saying I didn't like BBS, I'm just disappointed that this is what could have been
Osment in KH2 preformed really well, he made Sora a very likeable teenager.
Speaking of voices, I still think we're going to hear M.Xehanort's usual voice in KH3 as Goofy's VA said that everyone's finished on recording their lines.
I agree with that theory. He has never been the 'chosen one' but always the one that comes in to save the day. He's like Luke from Star Wars who brings balance to the force. He brings balance to the light and darkness.
I hope armors in KH3 will have those sick reflections and the actual armor look to them so much.
>Those three Keyblades were placed in secret ending in order to say that those armored Keyblade users were completely new characters.
It's like you don't even know Nomura. KH1 > 2 wasn't really thought out, but everything afterwards was done on purpose.
Worse than usual for a KH game, but still passable. Aqua is the worst one off really. Terra is dull, but can emote well when he tries (and the inner monologues were fine enough).
Xigbar most likely.
But then again, Nomura likes his tweests.
Disney characters are still top notch. Xehanort and Eraqus are fantastic. Jesse is good as Ventus, but it's not as nice as his Roxas. Terra and Aqua are shit. Zack is the tits.
Some theories I have on what might happen in KH3:
>Riku Replica and Vanitas is one of the 13
>Luxord and Xaldin/Dilan will also be part of the 13
>Sora isn't one of the light or dark
>Riku might be one of the dark, but works for the light of course
>Terra returns and helps Sora & team
>Xigbar betrays Xehanort towards the end and goes on to be the big bad for the next games
>a new character (introduced in KH3) will be one of the dark, who is possibly a time traveler from the Keyblade Wars
There is way to much to cover in just one game. There will probably be several more before they even start KH3.
>explaining what the deal with chi is
>getting the old gang back together
> getting all the xehanorts
>the real villian emerges
Hearing how much he loves being Sora always make happy as I could see some people hating being a voice actor for Kingdom Hearts since the dialogue can be cringy and bad a times
>>explaining what the deal with chi is
100% guaranteed that they'll include it in DDD HD somehow.
>>getting the old gang back together
The only one "missing" is Sora, and that's because he probably left on his own. Unless you're talking about TAV, in which case Riku and Mickey are apparently handling that.
>> getting all the xehanorts
MX already has them, they just didn't show them all to us to keep us guessing.
Not a chance.
>>the real villian emerges
MX powered up with the other 12 and Sora with the 7 Light. Anything else is unacceptable.
Oh I don't know. If he has Terra's memories he may have just wandered one day to his old home and realized "this place is very different" and inferred shit.
The writing is bad enough that this wouldn't surprise me.
>a new character (introduced in KH3) will be one of the dark, who is possibly a time traveler from the Keyblade Wars
I think you're right, although I think that character has already been introduced, though they remain unnamed.
There was one apprentice that didn't become a Foreteller.
I don't think he's time traveling though. I think he'll have been awoken from the Realm of Sleep along with all of Daybreak Town due to Sora and Riku unlocking the Keyholes of Sleep.
Changing voice actors is not a new thing to KH.
Kairi, Naminé, Ansem the Wise, AnsemSoD and Mickey have all had VA changes.
Be honest guys, Goofy's VA said they were done with voice acting since 2014, do you believe him? Did Nimoy deliver his role?
>tfw I missed out on all the handheld games and have only played KH1 and 2 and have absofuckinglutley no idea whats going on anymore
So, I just beat Kingdom Hearts on proud mode and now I want to get the trophies.
Is no continues without changing equipment on beginner mode harder than regular proud mode?
Also, any tips for beating the game under 15 hours?
Beginner mode with no equipment change can be challenging, but not as challenging as proud mode altogether.
15 hour playthrough just skip all of the cutscene's and remember where you're going.
Try a lvl.1 proud mode run also, fun as shit.
Pick beginner mode, iirc every single of the helping accessories are automatically on you so you can keep them on.
You can rush the game with Kingdom Key in like 7 hours easy.
It's the gummi ship shit that you need to worry about.
>Is no continues without changing equipment on beginner mode harder than regular proud mode?
No, it's very very easy. Beginner Mode gives you a ton of stat boosts and a Ribbon already equipped (so it won't count against Unchanging Armor).
>any tips for beating the game under 15 hours?
You'll do it naturally when you do that Beginner run.
I did Undefeated/Unchanging Armor/Speedster on Beginner and finished in 6 hours (one of which was the Ansem gauntlet). Skip Olympus and Atlantica.
And the cutscenes obviously.
Well I did a unchanging armor/no continue run on beginner and it took me 7 hours. It's not hard. Honestly just play like usual, and don't focus on grinding, but don't avoid enemies either. And save often. You're allowed to die and reload your save, but you are not allowed to do the continue option.
His face hasn't aged in any way.
Like some baby face. Poor guy.
Can that actually happen though? Time travel the Xehanort way has an inevitable ending. Now if it works like how Pete did it (also why do people complain about DDD "introducing" time travel when it happened in KH 2, albeit in a different way?) then there's a real threat.
It's "easy" but still pretty bullshit boring crap when you need specific kind of ships and all that jazz. On Atlantica route you have monstro having the chance to appear and swallow you if you went atlantica before Halloween Town.
Also, if you're playing on proud it's even worse.
It's all I've been missing from plat and I just can't do that shit.
Should I get DDD? I've heard a lot of mixed things about it and the very little I played on my friends copy was iffy. He doesn't have it anymore so I can't borrow it from him. I liked BBS a lot though.
>On Atlantica route you have monstro having the chance to appear and swallow you if you went atlantica before Halloween Town.
But I don't have to worry about that, because I can skip Atlantica right?
I won't say RIP because it's not like the dead actually get restless and come back as ghosts. That's illogical.
I hope his passing was painless and I will always respect him.
i just finished it. it is most comparable to bbs as far as the gameplay goes. however i enjoyed bbs a lot more with its style-system. ddd doesn't have much additional content. there is no secret bosses really and no arena to test your skills.
pokemon gimmick worked for obtaining skills and abilities but it wasn't really that fun.
world are more "tube" than ever; run straight and advance the plot.
major flaw: there is no backtracking to explore the stages again for treasures. you can access all the areas from the beginning of the game. to clarify, there is no place you can not reach with flowmotion.
also about flowmotion: first half of the game the commands are USELESS because how much you can just mow with flowmotion. later commands get better and flowmotion becomes more secondary.
DDD was a massive step back from Re:Coded and BBS because the command system went to complete shit and Flowmotion was a terrible mechanic. Re:Coded was a very natural and fantastic evolution of the command deck and made keyblades relevant again.
I too feel as though he's addressing my superior intellect as a video gamer
Fuck yes. Now i want the Xemnas voice as a default voice for every xeanorth. I dont care if it dosnt make any sense.
So will they port the games to this gen?
They kinda shit the bed with having the collections be released so late.
Hopefully this allows me not having to by the handheld version, and actually makes them fix days.
What if Maurice LaMarche did the rest of Xehanort's lines?
There's also this.
The same thing was done in 1.5 with footage from KHII and BbS.
Where does the rage go when the source of rage has ended?
>James Woods will die in my lifetime
No, he was always the director for 13. The whole setting, initial gameplay concepts, and story were his idea. The whole "Romeo and Juliet" and "Brotherly road trip" was stuff that Nomura talked about way back, and is still in the game currently.
>he was always the director for 13
You mean 15/Versus13
Versus/15 was always Nomura's game and it still is, all his story/characters/concepts whatever are still there, the only change made was character switch which he made when he was still leading it in 2013, and for about 2 years he brought on his friend tabata to codirect it with him while teaching him everything about the game
All the old story, world and character and noctis gameplay concepts is still there, the higher ups wanted him to put KH3 out which is why they made tabata full director on XV after two years of being codirector while nomura goes full time on KH3
Yusuke Naora was the art director on FF7, FF8, FF10 and Type-0, and is the art director on 15.
He was also a field graphic designer on Chrono Trigger and FF6
>13 releases two sequels before this game even comes out and now the series this was espoused to be 'versus' is already finished and gone
fucking nomura you're too slow
They trademarked a thing called "A World of the VERSUS Epic" in 2013 just after E3, the Versus name isn't gone, it might even be a name that shows up in the game itself similar to how Agito does in Type-0.
They just turned Versus 13 to 15 to disassociate it with the "13" name and also because they had plans on turning Versus into a mainline FF in like 2007.
They also mentioned the possibility of sequels in 2013 too, like the world of XV is massive so much that they can make entirely separate games from it, sort of like an Ivalice thing but called "Versus".
Yeah, didn't help that Famitsu scan with Terra's Mask half broken further fueled that Idea since the CG made him look like Sora.
God I remember watching that final mix 2 teaser for the first time on youtube. And then that excruciating wait for the game to actually come out after that.
Xigbar's weapon transformed into a Sniper Rifle for that attack where it went into a first person perspective and you had to use reaction commands to hit him. For the US his animations were just him flipping the guns around and then going into the zoom mode. The Reticule was also changed
>KH3 taking so long all the voices are dying
>there are anons who have died waiting for this game
>there are people who seriously thought it would be on PS3
I don't think I could accept any other voice for Xehanort. Nimoy was perfect in every way for him.
IS THE WAY THAT YOURE MAKING ME FEEL TONIGHT
>tfw monty oum died before KH3
>the new keyblade even turns into a gun
This is a Disney product. They'll just get a new voice. Be Prepared switches singers part way through the song. The most likely outcome is finding an impersonator or someone very, very close to his old voice if possible. Just like Mickey and every other Disney voice lacking the original. No idea why they didn't pick a similar voice for Ansem though.
>"They're making it now. the recording of the dialogue is the last part in the process."
That doesn't sound good. Unless they had the foresight to get Nimoy's lines done and recorded first.
>Dead Fantasy perma dead
It still stings. Best Namine to ever come from a fanwork. I intentionally stopped watching RWBY just to let the episodes catch up. Dude was too young. I mean, I wanted to see the series crash and burn but not like this. Though I doubt they'll stop.
This is why I'm hoping Larxene ends up being an Elena clone or something.
Zack was probably trapped in some unknown world of darkness or something since Aerith is running around and Cloud is being emo. Vexen is the Hojo of the universe (same voice I think) so I doubt Zack will stay gone. His Dlink was great. Early Ghost Drive.
Given what little we've seen of the game so far and how long it takes to record everything, I doubt anyone has finished any role except for maybe NPCs. Whatever they have done, they'll have to start from scratch.
Stop posting fanfics as facts. Until Nomura says anything, it's all speculation.
I'll never find an excuse to use this shitty Tumblr .gif.
The voices of Iago and Goofy have both confirmed that they finished recording in 2013/2014. Voice work if often done years before a game comes out, sometimes even before it's announced.
Nimoy very likely did his lines months, if not a year ago.
Sometimes people say things but aren't entirely serious. These things are called "jokes". But it's fair that you didn't know that; it must be hard to remember simple concepts when you have to remember the distinct tastes of a thousand different cocks.
I wonder if Nimroy ever played a Kingdom Hearts game
Fuck you. Fuck you hard.
Niggers like you who shit out these fanfic tier theories out of their asses and present them as facts piss me off to no end.
Genesis never had anything to do with any KH game and now he's a character's darkness?
