Tell me your secret gaming shames /v/
I unironically enjoy the Assassin's Creed games and buy them all on release day. I even like the series' meta plot
I honestly don't have any. I guess I just don't really give a shit.
you like what you like.
I like Sonic Lost World more than S3&K. SLW is the second best Sonic game. I don't own a PC. OR a laptop. I go on /v/ most of the time to fap and shitpost. I once shoved a Wiimote up my ass and enjoyed it
>I unironically enjoy the Assassin's Creed games and buy them all on release day. I even like the series' meta plot
I start insulting my opponents and teammates when they are using it for more than one round and I teamkill my own team mates who are using it and then I grab it, rush it to where the enemies are and drop it for them to take and kill my teammates, fucking faggots.
I frequently play FIFA because my brothers want to. We have tons of fun erryday. I enjoy it a lot. Also I won't have to upgrade my PC to play MGSV since I got a PS4 gifted for christmas
I liked Knack. I liked The Order 1886. I really like Drive Club. I think Sucker Punch games are very clinical and lack character. Their sound design is some of the worst I've ever not heard.
Forza>Gran Turismo God of War>Devil May Cry
I have over 600 hours in COD:Black Ops. It was one of the first games I bought after I jumped from Wii to PC I'm still trying to get other games above it but I'm nowhere near pushing it out of my steam top 10
When playing Metal Gear Solid games, I just rush through the game on the easiest difficulty, not caring if I get spotted or not, also skipping most of the cutscenes.
I abuse cheats in Paradox games.
I played through Dark Souls using a guide and hacked gear, also whenever I do sunbroing, I always drop OP weapons to new players to make their game easier.
I always play games on the easiest difficulty.
Whenever I play games like Fallout: New Vegas, I kill everyone I see and rush through the main story.
I savescum older games that I feel are hard for the sake of extending the game due to limitations back then.
I buy a lot of games, some of which I haven't even played yet on both PC and consoles.
I think CS is full of arbitrary/obtuse mechanics that just make it difficult to play compared to other shooters for the sake of it being "different" but it just makes it complete shit.
I'm secretly excited for DICE's Battlefront because it has the potential to be amazing due to DICE's previous games involving heavy vehicle combat and map deformation, but also hesitant due also to previous games from DICE.
If by "fix up" you mean "build in free space", "un fuck the highways", and some other shit, then yes.
But you still pilot only one ship. I haven’t actually played it since before the Teladi Output update was released, but I often take long breaks from the series. So I'll get back into it soon, or get back into X:3 when the itch strikes.
I don't buy PC games or games on consoles that can be pirated. I simply do not see the logic of spending money on software, which you can get your hands on for free with a few clicks.
I play everything on Easy because I can't be bothered to struggle on mundane things. I just want to experience everything the game has to offer in one playthrough and then don't touch it again.
I sell my games (if I could) as soon as I finish it.
Story is just as important as gameplay.
However, a more important factor than story, which I believe a lot of people tend to overlook, is Characterization. Well-made, reasonable characters with adequate development can make up for a bad story to a certain degree. I can even go as far as to say that I enjoy watching characters interact more than the story or gameplay.
I use CheatEngine for single-player stuff. I hate grinding.
I false-flag and shitpost for all sides constantly, everywhere.
I cannot enjoy Nintendo games because I think everything they have to offer, Sony did it better (BFM > Zelda, CTR > MK, Crash/Tomba > Mario).
I think the Mario franchise hit its peak on SMB3. Modern Marios and to an extent, modern Nintendo games, are not as fun as the SNES era games.
I have a beast PC but all I do is emulate.
Whenever possible, I'll cheat to get infinite mana or whatever the game calls it. I can handle dying since it gives a sense of danger, but I like feeling like a hero, and the hero never actually runs out of energy. They find the last bit they need deep inside them right at the last moment.
>I false-flag and shitpost for all sides constantly, everywhere.
How do we know you're not flat out lying for angry replies now?
I've never played OoT and I don't want to.
Everyone harps on about how it's the perfect videogame, but they probably all played it when they were kids.
I love LttP and Windwaker, but stuff like SS and TP just fucking suck.
I really just don't see any reason to play OoT at this point. I'm way too old to appreciate it.
This is one of the rare thread where I can be honest. There is nothing to gain from shitposting/false-flagging in a confession thread. We all have something we are ashamed of but do anyway.
I just simply don't have the space in my room for a desktop PC. I probably could fit it somewhere if I moved stuff around but I just can't be bothered and I've never actually looked into the cost of a gaming PC anyway.
I played through MGS1 but kept losing in the final fight so I watched the ending on YouTube and deleted my savegame. Later I found out that you could can after Grey Fox's intervention when I watched DSP play it.
I like to think I'm not a pleb, but I play everything on Normal now, but when I was younger I'd play on Hard.
Maybe I'm just getting old.
You'd be surprised how you small can make them these days. You can make mini PCs that have high end components in them. Pic related is a 4690k with a 970 and 8gb of ram.
I still play RS like 7 hours a day. Fallout games are boring as shit I bought an Xbox one I buy CoD games only because of the Nazi zombie mode. I am actually excited for FNAF3
Somebody kill me already
Yeah, that happens. I played the PC version myself, and all of a sudden an elevator got glitched, rendering my game unbeatable. Last time I saved was hours ago, so I had to replay a nice chunk of the game.
I'm garbage at exploration/puzzle games and often have to look up help. I had to look up help for basically 90% of Super Metroid
Assuming you already had a 1080p monitor you could probably make a baby sized PC that would run current games at 60 fps for £500-600, maybe less if you skimp and get midrange parts like one of the cheaper i5s and a 960.
Did you wash it?
But MGS isnt a hard game anon
Which robot is your favorite?
Do you make your own deck or copypaste them?
I'm actually really fucking shit at video games. I am just enough of a masochist to put more hours in than most people to acquire proficiency at them.
I have done Cyberathlete Professional ladders in CSS, am LE in CS GO, and have done (and won) a handful of tournaments for Command and Conquer and Unreal Tournament.
This is, again, only because I'm a masochist who repeated the same mistakes enough times to finally learn better. In truth, I do the DUMBEST fucking shit when I play video games, and it embarrasses me to play games I'm unfamiliar with with other people.
Thank god my friends have patience, and know me well enough to have seen me in tourneys, because this Dota 2 learning curve is just killing me, but I want to enjoy games with them that they like, after so long of them joining mine.
Don't be. I get off on online butt-frustration. The best way to deal with people like me is to simply ignore me. Too bad /v/ can't even manage to do such an easy thing. I mean, shit, why do people take the effort of typing responses when they can just scroll down past the offending post?
Don't know if these things are shame worthty, but are confessions anyway:
I love the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy. I got the platinum trophy on the first two and i finished Lightning Returns last week, and i'm looking forward to get its platinum too. I regret nothing.
I started to lift, do sports and having a healthier lifestyle many years ago inspired on a fighting videogame character. I don't remember who it was really, but i wanted to be a little more like him... the only thing is that the referenced character was not human.
I must be the only person who strongly dislike Valve, all their games are in first person and they deny to complete a story that kept unfinished like 11 years ago, just because they make more money through Steam.
I really wat to pick a spray paint and write "Praise the sun!" on a random wall on the street.
>I mean, shit, why do people take the effort of typing responses when they can just scroll down past the offending post?
You realize most of those people are actual children right? The average age of /v/ has to be something like 16, they're not aware of how to deal with such a thing yet.
>HE HAS A DIFFERENT OPINION THAN ME AHHHHH
/v/'s inability to ignore obvious bait astounds me. Unless it's just the old trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls thing. I guess it loses some of the humor if that's the case.
Fallout 3 is a good game that I enjoyed playing. It wasn't great, but it also wasn't unplayable, lore-raping shit that must never be played if you wish to ever be taken seriously in a Fallout-conversation.
For me, personally, I almost always play on Normal the first time because it's usually what the developer balances for. Hard is usually unbalanced such that some abilities / tactics / builds simply aren't viable, which makes the game feel poorly designed.
I don't understand the appeal of playing FPS on consoles, unless there's some kind of auto-lock involved. Personal bias though, not very dextrous Stealth gameplay make me uncomfortable. I played MGS/Thief by killing everyone and then exploring at my leisure
i spent like 60 dollars to buy cards on might and magic : duel of champions. i don't even play the game anymore...
I've done that in a couple games. HL2 most notably. Adds a layer of difficulty and RP trying to get away without enemies touching you.
I feel like analog sticks haven't quite reached the level of sensitivity and fluidity in movement to be used for manual aiming. It could work, but all the currently released controllers with analog sticks are too clunky and have a huge dead zone.
I play Minecraft all the time. In Creative. On PS3. And I've purchased a texture pack for it. Most of my favorite games are Japan-exclusive, like Live A Live, Clock Tower, Getsu Fuuma Den, and Kamen Rider Battride War II.
I'm sorry /v/.
I have to look up a guide for every adventure game I play.
Grim Fandango, Monkey Island, Myst, and Tomb Raider 2were all way the fuck too hard for my 11yo asshole. Being before the days of ubiquitous message boards, I sometimes wonder if I was a minority guide-player and if there were any to many players that finished the games without guides.
The thing about analog sticks is that you'll always only be pointing the crosshair in the direction you want it to go, the actual speed of it arriving there is down to whatever's set in the game
I'm not saying you can't aim with analog sticks but a mouse will beat their precision every time
This, I was just about to say the same thing and bam. It's just so pleasurable to make a base that looks comfy and then see the little buggers fight it out who cares who wins.
Playing Fallout 3 on very easy right now. Just started out and had to tone it down. Kept getting absolutely destroyed in firefights and couldn't build enough ammo/caps/stimpaks. Strange cause I have play Oblivion and Skyrim on probably 6 playthroughs and never had trouble. Always cranked the difficulty up actually.
I'm playing DMC: Devil May Cry and I'm enjoying it. It's also my first DMC game.
I don't own any consoles
I think im just shittier at games than I used to be honestly. I used to always pick hardest difficulty available out the gate but im finding myself doing it less. Im still going back to finish hard in most cases at least.
Is weird though. Had more trouble on normal the starting Skyrim Expert. Could also be im more used to playing safe with melee rather than guns.
I remember playing a mage on Skyrim's Expert difficulty
Sure was fun to have slow as shit mana regeneration and every bear killing you in two hits before you could get enough damage in
I've never played any of the Zelda games besides the first one on NES Until Ghosts I had bought every single Call of Duty because me and my only friend were really good at it I have an equal amount of hours in DotA2 as I have in Europa Universalis 3
Been doing it for years, its bannable but not easily detectable.
It's sad how easy it is to exploit, I sometimes wonder how many other players use similar scripts.
I use Hotkeynet and write my own scripts.
Using Hotkeynet to make a macro is not bannable.
Using Hotkeynet to make a macro that allows you to hold down 1 button and spam up to 10 abilities in a priority fashion every 250ms, is.
When I play MMORPGs I always do my research into what the current OP class is and play it exclusively until it gets nerfed. Then I move to the next fotm. While playing I constantly shittalk other players of the same class, lying about how I played the class for years.
[spoilers]I buy madden (used to be NCAA football) almost every year and spend a majority of the playtime fucking around with the rosters and managing their equipment.[/spoilers]
[spoilers]I've never beaten SMB3 and don't want to because I don't find it fun in the slightest.[/spoilers]
[spoilers]I'm planning to buy every single amiibo.[/spoilers]
[spoilers]I like to play/read visual novels in between games, yes, even the hentai focused ones.[/spoilers]
It seems /v/ has a lot of cheaters.
I literally do not remember the last time I cheated in a game. Usually I'm modding them to make them more difficult.
I really enjoy call of duty. I even liked Ghosts it was one of my favorites
Bought half life 2 physical limited edition that came with a tshirt. First copy I bought on Saturday came without the cdkey so I had to wait until Monday to get it changed. Then there was Steam and I was still at 56k, it was a nightmare to get to play my offline campaign. Started the game and at some point I upgraded my pc because the game ran like shit. Got far, until the place where they have everyone in pods. Something happened to my computer and I didn't finish the game. Forgot my steam password, something happened I couldn't smoothly restore it so I thought I'd pirate the game I bought. Eventually moved to linux and didn't play a lot of pc games. I wore the tshirt a lot but I lost it.
One year ago decided to give it a try and could restore my Steam password. I was awarded with a "9 years of service" badge. Had drivers problems and didn't play. At some point I fixed the problems with the drivers and the game runs in a way I could only dream of in 2004. Now I find I can't really be arsed to play the game.
I suppose I am not in a hurry.
I have never finished metroid prime 3 or any of the operation rainfall titles despite being a big fan of metroid and a supporter of the latter I have over 2 years of logged in time to my everquest characters I hate WoW but im so desperate for an mmo with a community that im playing it right now
I play FSX more than any other game.
I've spent more than 700 dollars on virtual addon's for scenery, terrain meshes and addition air planes. I've spent over 2k on a PC to run it all in the last year and I have about $1100 worth of peripherals that have little use outside of this one game.
>mfw more than one friend has come over, been amazed by how realistic it looks then ask if it's coming to the PS3/4
I still play WoW retail and I like it I played pokémon till I was 21 I'm in Silver league on SC2 I enjoy Hearthstone and HotS Yeah I like sucking Blizz dick I play CSGO with my 17yo cousin
I also liked the AC series a lot until AC3, god that was shit
I even was pretty good at the multiplayer, Revelations was the best MP.
I often picked the hot female characters because I always got a boner when I got assasinated by an enemy
I hate vehicles, especially tanks, in Battlefield.
I think they essentially invalidate anything that isn't a) a vehicle itself or b) playing a style that centres around blowing up vehicles and, as a result, make the game a lot less fun
Terrible optimization. Draw distances can be over 100 miles at times. Real time calculation of thousands of other planes flight dynamics if you have air traffic turned on high etc etc.
It's a game that destroys CPU's if you turn things up as high as they can go. It doesn't really tax GPU's until you start to add in high definition textures then you need to make sure you have enough vram.
I played the shit out of brotherhood's multiplayer.
I missed out on The Ship and the like (did they even have a community?) so AC multiplayer was the closest to a Spy vs Spy game I could get.
I think the FFXIII trilogy was amazing.
DmC was really good.
Monster Hunter and Dragon's Dogma are both extremely boring.
Dragon Quest too
Bought CoD:AW and its DLC to play with a friend
After a certain point, dub actors for games got way better than seiyuu
Everything. They even removed all the companion app and initiates locked content. Other than that the bugs and performance were patched. Parkour is now more responsive as well.
Too bad I got the patch when I was around 95% through the fucking game.
I enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog because of its branching paths and endings. I like Dark Souls only because my only friend likes it.I put off building a PC because I'm afraid I'll fuck up the specs or construction somehow. I owned an Xbox 360 for the last two years despite not liking any exclusives. I like Uncharted 2 a lot. I tend to play multiple games at once but lately I find it hard to finish them. I bought a Vita even though I don't like extreme weebshit.
>skipping the dialogue for best girl
Eat shit faggot
its okay. i will relieve you of this shame.
>Final Fantasy X is my favorite game
>like Kingdom Hearts
>like Call of Duty and get hype every year only to get shit on
>bought Dragon Age 2 day 1 and played it like 2 times. Only after this did I realize how shit it was.
Give it to me straight /v/. How bad am I?
I would really enjoy a remake of Fallout 1 and 2 in first person. I love both games, but I'm really struggling to enjoy them because I dislike the extremely slow pacing of isometrics. >Tfw forever a casual
>I had to savescum when revisiting Needle Man's stage in MM3 because the stage was bullshit after the first doc robot and I was sick of replaying the stage
>I never beat a mainline Mario game, or a spinoff when I think about it
>Soul Calibur 3 is my favorite SC game
>I like Starwars Battlefront more on console
>I use auto-guard in monster hunter
>11 years of your life spent on one game
Not sure if sad or impressive dedication.
It's hard to say this but your taste is fucking irredeemably awful.
could be worse. at least you arent diving headfirst into weebshit, or actually defending Dragon Age 2
outside of the 2nd act with the qunari, that was the only good part of the game.
I own pretty much every decent horror game released in the past decade for console or pc and have either not played any of them or havent completed a single one.
I love horror movies but am too chicken shit to play the games and buy them as a lie to myself that I'll one day nut up and play them all.
Pokemon X was the first Pokemon game I've ever beaten. My brother deleted my save file to start a new one right after I beat it.
I'm disappointed so many of you are either bad at games or resort to cheating, but I understand not everyone has natural ability to just pick up and play a range of games.
I have put more hours into animal crossing games across various formats in my life than literally every other game I've played. I have played them almost twice as much as all the hours put into other games combined.
I honestly don't even really like it. It'sweird. It's just the ultimate time killer for me. I work a night job as a security guard for a shipping warehouse so I don't have anything to do during the day and just play it shitloads.
It's not even a good game, I can just waste fucking hours on it doing nothing.
>daemon tools to trick your machine into thinking its a disc
>mount the iso file with daemon tools
>crack if needed, just cut and paste over the original file with the crack
I used to be impatient as fuck with puzzles and hidden switches in games.
While I'd at least try to solve them myself for a while, I was way too eager to look up guides/walkthroughs. But a few months ago, when I was playing Duke Nukem 3D, I had problems finding a switch and looked it up, at which point my conscience had apperantly had enough, because I felt very bad about it. I promised myself to never use a guide again and though I hade a single relapse once while playing the Witcher, I havent used a guide/wiki since.
>Go through normal installation
>Right click + open virtual game disc
>Copy paste crack in installation bin
It's because of people like you that keeps steam in business. Can't believe people can be this retarded, but still make a steam account.
>having a secret shame
How insecure can you get? You like what you like, no need to be ashamed. Just keep it private if it bothers you that much.
I got two Gold Mario amiibos and am in the process of re-selling them to the highest bidder, which is upwards of $200 dollars.
I almost exclusively play destiny now.
I bought into the hype and got the special edition day one and less than a month later I got buyers remorse. Than I picked it up again a month after that and haven't stopped playing.
I'm actually enjoying myself.
I allowed TF2 to distract me from developing abilities relevant to holding a good job for two years
I think that Sonic Unleashed might be my favourite Sonic game.
Persona 3 seemed more like a damn VN than an RPG. Played 2 entire hours on rails and only getting into one battle, which was the tutorial battle. I was sick of playing by the time I got to the entrance of Tartarus, and I haven't been back since.
>I don't own a PC. OR a laptop.
How do you shitpost on /v/ then? Don't tell me there are people that are actually willing to post via mobile devices?
You honestly disgust me.
i finished the first dmc using only the grenade launcher because i wanted it to be over already
spoilered because i am really ashamed of this one
i've only finished one mgs it was twin snakes
emulated twin snakes
with a dual shock
>I played MM back on n64 and didn't like it.
>besides the art direction and some side quests I think it's terrible.
>Dark Souls is more challenging and has better combat than Demon Souls but also less fun.
I've never beaten a Mario game
in fact I don't enjoy platformers
I enjoyed playing call of duty, haven't played since BO2
I like Borderlands 2
I've beaten GTA but I don't really fancy it
I thought TW2 S2 was enjoyable
I listen to /v/'s recommendations more than I should
Glitchy as fuck
The story somehow got worse
The city was underwhelming compared to fuckhuge Rome and northern Italy
Bombs were the only major addition to combat and even then they were most useless since you were OP as fuck
Old Ezio a shit
i really like COD even after COD4. i usually buy a game every 2 years. MW2 was really good. i play ARMA, quake live, and CS equally, but every once in a while i just want to brainlessly call in tactical nukes i like saints row as a whole over GTA as a whole. I think SR2 and SR3 were both better than GTA4 i think SH4 > SH3 > SH > SH2
The Last of Us is my second favorite game of all time.
I love the Batman series despite acknowledging the fact that they're heavily simplified because they make me feel like Batman with minimal effort.
I've played through Metal Gear Solid 3 over 7 times and have not fought The End once.
I got into PC gaming mostly because piracy is less of a hassle.
I don't think Sanic was ever a very good franchise.
Half-Life 2 has aged like fine wine.
Mario 64 has aged like milk.
Damn, I'm in the same boat as you. I kept seeing all these things about NEW VEGAS SO GOOD PLAY IT GUISE. So I pirated it, played past the first tutorial gecko killing thing and just uninstalled it after.
>Haven't played a video game in 3 months
>Haven't played most "core'' games/series out there
>Rarely play on hard / always choose normal for 1st playthroughs
(like most people really)
Same minus the merch. The only one I got close to finishing was Spirit Tracks. I also accidently ended up with the special edition of MM3D and a majoras mask n3ds (store fault) despite not really caring about zelda.
#3: enjoyed up to black ops, after that it was meh
#4: you look borderlands 2 was good, it was just full of references and it was never as good as the original. nothing to be shamed about. I finished it about 5 times and i got all the main DLC (not headhunter shit)
#5: loved all GTA's i played
#6: i feel like i need to know these acronyms but i dont
#7: dont do that
I have been playing Assassin's Creed 3 within the last 24 hours and greatly enjoying it. I own all the games except Unity.
Was disappointed by Revelations though, and I'm hesitating to play Unity.
I think Bioshock Infinite's combat and level design is very underrated.
While I love the way a game looks with a high framerate, I fear that /v/ would rather have a series of dull gray corridors at 60fps with HD textures than a detailed, beautiful garden at 30fps and a slightly lower resolution.
never ever encountered any bugs. y'all are welcome to show me some.
Fucking loved the ezio story, the desmond story in that game was utter shit even though i kinda liked it in the prev games.
There's was multiple areas to go though with a lot to do in them. there was a whole little hidden city area with about 5 or 6 missions to do there, plus a few collectables and the city itself was sizeable. and then constantinple was a pretty good city anyway whereas rome and italy were just made too big imho.
the combat still hasn't been revolutionised in ac to this day like what you want. at least the combat was solid
old ezio is the best motherfucking character in the game mate what are you on about
I created EFG because I kept losing at difficult games. It still haunts me
I shitpost about games I've never even played before on /v/ all day. Infact, I think I've only played through like 5 games to completion in the last 7 years. I always end up playing through
>environment was too big
>in an Assassin's Creed game
Anyway, my issue with Constantinople compared to the locations in the previous games is that it was monotonous. You're looking at the same brown buildings wherever you go and there are practically no open areas. Cappadocia was fun, but again, it was too closed-in.
9 out of 10 times I only play Muslim countries in Paradox games because I'm Egyptian.
>mfw dropped CK2 because no Muslim countries unless I buy DLC
I don't even know why I have this autistic tendency
I'm a compulsive savescummer in games like X-Com.
I just can't stand the thought of making a mistake for some reason.
And I like all the Fable games for some reason I still to this day can not explain.
They are crappy games, but I enjoy them still.
I played about 20 minutes worth of Fallout 1 then promptly uninstalled. I liked the aesthetics but the combat was too fucking monotonous and I couldn't stomach how annoying it was to navigate the menus.
I have lost liters worth of semen to Touhou doujins yet I know nothing about the games or characters, and I still don't get how the series thrived in popularity as it did stemming from the autistic genre that is bullet hells
I used to masturbate regularly to Palcomix shit because of the criminally low amount of Renamon porn there is. I'm not sorry
>cant pull off headshots
>"fucking luck based game"
Delicious unranked tears.
I'm not good enough with computers to pirate games, almost always fuck it up.
I'll play through a game blind as much as possible until I get stuck, then I'll use a guide. I end using the guide after that part because I end up wanting to 100% the game and not miss anything.
I think the best 3d zelda is
I think the best zelda is
I am a pure console gamer originally it was because I just did not have a PC but then I got a WiiU and a PS4 and now the only game I ever want to play on PC is the sims.
plus I love every and all weeb games I have ever played
I've never gone past NG+ in any of the Souls games. I'll play through to the end of NG+ but never advance to the next cycle, either focusing on PvP with the character or just forgetting/deleting it. The +% "difficulty" doesn't do anything for me and I've already experienced the black phantoms in NG+ so I see no reason to reset the progress a second time.
I haven't played a video game in a long time, between school and running a huge DnD game as DM. I usually come home and watch some TV and then go to bed. It sucks because I miss playing video games and getting mad at them. The most I do is play a few rounds of SSB for my Wiiu.
I've probably spent $120 over four months on Puzzles and Dragons.
I do really like the game, but every time I spend money I get that gambling rush followed by a sense of frustration that a cell phone game convinced me to pay $20 for a few gatchapon spins.
Got a Juggler after going two months paying free, so maybe I'm just finally doing it right.
>all this anti-Muslim spam
As a white fundamentalist Christian, I'd like to say that this is stupid.
This is supposed to be a video game thread anyway. Talk about how you want to exterminate Turians or something, save the real-world arguments for /pol/.
I've beaten plenty of games, but I've never played Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, or Halo. I get my sci-fi shooter fix from Crysis 2, my stealth fix from Arkham Asylum/City, and my JRPG fix from nowhere because I don't play any JRPGs.
But it was about videogames, it's just that anally pained muslim that's upset someone roleplays as a crusader in a fucking videogame because he can't handle the banter on fucking 4chan.
I preordered Mass Effect 3 the very day it was announced, finished it in like 3 days playing it 8+ hours a day, got so shocked by the ending I didn't touch any of the ME games for over a year and yet... I bought every DLC the day they came out.
I spent over 150€ on a slightly disappointing game.
I... kinda like walking simulators
I rarely beat games as a kid, I would play through parts but have my best buddy at the time take care of bosses and such.
I always called myself a big MGS fan, but I played the series completely out of order and got into it late. I did MGS3->MGS1->MGS4->MGS2 and couldn't even bring myself to beat PW.
I unironically love Halo. Some of my best vidya memories were going to LAN parties in 8th/9th grade playing Halo 2 with buddys all night and doing custom shit on Halo 3 online most nights a few years later.
I was hyped as hell for Halo 4 because my several team members from Retro Studios, my favorite developer, were hired by 343. I don't know what the hell went wrong but I think I played maybe two hours of that game before giving up.
I only owned a GameCube during the 6th gen, so I missed out on pretty much every non-Nintendo game that gen. As good as the GCN was I'll always regret it.
Despite popular opinion I think a lot of N64 games have aged quite well, if nothing else they have a bit of a charm to them that later generations lacked.
Golden Sun was one of the best RPGs of that generation.
Final Fantasy X was my first and Last Final Fantasy. I always though it was a great game
even if I never beat it.
I've never actually beat a Genesis game, or any arcade style game, without save states. I just need my fucking save points.
Also, the oldest generation of games I can play and still legitimately enjoy is the SNES/Genesis one. I recognize what the NES did for the industry but I could never play anything other then Tetris for more than 10 minutes. I guess I was just spoiled with the N64 being my first console.
I have spilled semen to the bobble head nurses of SH but think all horror games are dumb as hell. same with Skullgirls and other games I will never ever play. I have a morbid curiosity with spider enemies in games but when I played Unreal and the Nai Pali I removed the creepy crawlies with cheats because they gave me the jibblies I bought Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and played a pirated version on an emulator so I could savescum. I hope New & Tasty lets you do that I can't buy most games nowadays as my laptop can barely handle TF2. I visit /v/ because I have no friends, not because anything you fags say is interesting.
I don't even play Video Games i just post on /v/ because i love the epic memes.
I like dota 2 and I think that the vast majority of criticism towards the game is either factually wrong or outright exaggerated or both. I also think that anyone who uses the term MOBA is fucking retarded because dotalike is a far far better and more descriptive term for the genre itself.
When I was kid I used to lose my shit if someone started driving backwards in a racing game
I bought every main Assassin's Creed game
I bought each story DLC to Mass Effect Trilogy
I never played a LoZ game
I only played Pokemon Sapphire and enjoyed the shit out of it
I will probably buy The Order, because I'm concerned about it
I liked Dishonored and await for 2
I Platinum every game I have
I don't give a damn about GTA
I saluted during MGS 4 ending
But hey, everyone of us has some secrets, huh?
You should probably download The Order from somewhere instead of purchasing it if you don't think it'll be good.
Dishonored had fun concepts but it felt to me like everything in it was only half finished and the gameplay was stressful in a bad way, especially with the never-kill-anyone moral choice system. A more polished sequel with better level design, less headache-inducing gameplay, and a more manageable means of taking good or evil paths would definitely draw my interest.
