What's a reasonable length of time for a vita's battery life? after fully charging mine it keeps dying on me after about 4 hours, has happened every day that i've played on it.
Also vita thread: Cracked Screen Edition
Mine lasts around 4-5 hours while my 3ds lasts 3-4
I found out that my vita has red part of one of my pixel dead
that's how my friend played persona 3, he had an emulator on his computer and he'd transfer the save from his vita to his pc whenever he was at home and vice versa whenever he left
try cycling the battery a few times. That should recalibrate it. try to refrain from recharging it when there'ss still like 50-70% charge left. It lowers the maximum charge too quickly.
Apparently the battery is actually that bad
Idort master race.
It's a shame that I can't ever get too into a play session of P4G without the battery going into the red.
Also I'm not sure if it's because I have the basic USB cable and USB plug in and not the AC adapter brick, but my Vita takes forever to charge.
Got a used Vita from Gamestop as Christmas gift and they don't give you the brick
Is upgrading to the actual AC adapter a big change and worth it?
I seem to be the only person on the Internet with this problem. No one else doesn't have the official adapter.
Fuck I just want to know if it makes the difference.
Also since it was used, should I just buy a new battery as well?
Nah, OLED is the only plus. Though don't use the 1gb internal memory of the 2k to weigh in on your choice because that shit is deactivated the instant you insert a memory card
Compiled a list of games from /v/ in the last 2 games
any game in here that is just crap and I should remove?
Soul Sacrifice Delta
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Shinobido 2 Revenge of Zen
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Risk of Rain
Binding of Isaac Rebirth
Armored Core 3
Armored Core Last Raven
Armored Core Silen Line
Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy Tactics The War of the Lions
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver
Resident Evil 1-3
Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus
Jak and Daxter Trilogy
Muramasa Rebirth (idk, should I get the complete digital edition or the LE?)
Neptunia Rebirth 1
Tales of Hearts R
Virtue Last Reward
Project Diva 2nd F
HTOL#NIQ:The Firefly Diary
Ciel nosurge (jap)
Ar nosurge (jap)
Tales of Hearts R
Tales of Innocence R (has it been released in eu yet?)
I love my Vita!
Battery usually lasts around 6 hours? Or something like that for me. But I'm not sure, I'm not good at measuring time
Avoid Jax and Daxter Trilogy at all costs because it's one of the few bad ports
Same for Borderlands 2
Tales of Hearts R has a bad localization (subs are completely rewritten and too different of what the characters originally say in jap)
Conception II and Mind Zero are "meh", like really meh.
I had mine fully charged and never used it for a week
the thing had around half battery last I looked
You probably have a defected vita if it keeps dying at 4 hours , mine last around 5 hours sometimes .
Remove MHFU since it's outdated as hell.
Why get both FFT and War of the Lions when WotL is an updated version of FFT?
Borderlands 2 is garbage on Vita.
You should get Guilty Gear Xrd instead.
You listed Muramasa twice, great game though.
Mind 0 is shit, same for Conception 2.
Bon Appetit is a really, really bad rhythm game.
Not sure if you have, but play 999 before you play VLR.
Wish vita got more support.
Pretty good handheld but it's currently gathering dust because of MonHun.
Is Oreshika good?
It's prettier to look at but unless you have one next to the other you won't be displeased by the 2k's screen. Ignorance is bliss after all
OLED screens also suffer commonly from mura which are blotches that you see on the screen while having a black screen and viewing it in a dark room
On the vita it says its rating as 5V, 2A DC while your usb will probably give you 0.5 or 1A in the best scenario 2A, but only if you have configured it in bios.
Standard AC power plug for vita has a rating of 5V, 2A which is the same as for the psp.
So your question, yes AC power adaptor will prove more efficient.
lasts longer than my 3ds xl. i generally never run out of battery since I immediately put it in the charging stand after using it and don't play it for more than 4 hours straight. I also usually have the screen at about 5-10% brightness since it's incredibly vibrant and that's all the brightness it needs under normal lighting conditions.
>mine has blotches
Anyway to remove them?
Thank you anon
It depends on the game, more demanding games drain your battery like a fucker, Atelier games and all that makes it last for 4-5. I played Castlevania SotN and the battery lasted for 12 hours, brightness on medium. Also Rayman O. lasted for 6-7, if you want more battery life get a portable battery, it's a lot of trouble to remember to charge it but it is better than nothing.
The screens also have a much longer lifetime while colour degradation is similar for every colour unlike vita which has uneven degradation which results in Blue de-gradates the fastest of all 3 colours.
But rumours about OLED burn in on the vita can be narrowed down to one picture, with a side from internet browser visible. So unless you are retarded it will not happen to you.
Alright, it's nice knowing that it doesn't get worse. Yeah I'd see it pretty constantly while playing P4G considering the amount of black loading screens. Thanks
There he is.
That's not true. I remade them 2 days ago.
I get 4-5 hours out of my OLED vita. About 4 hours when playing a single player game with bluetooth headphones on, and about 4.5-5 hours when playing most games.
There are a few games that drain the battery faster like Freedom Wars.
It's always skittles time.
>all those people with pretty skittles
>too lazy to do anything
Maybe you find something you like here.
vita 2000 owner here
my battery life is hellagud. i play killzone mercenary on this bad boy and i remember playing it on a 12 flight from Canada and had a good 30mins juice left by the time i got home. that was with screen brightness on lowest, playing kz and gravity rush, listening to music on full volume, watching some anime and general internet use while waiting in Edmonton international airport.
having a blast playing OlliOlli 2. usually hate the shitty indie shit in ps+ but this is addicting.
other than the better battery life, i heard the vita 2000 has a better wireless card for when it come to remote play or wifi if. cant remembsr which
kinda glad i got the 2000 over the 1000 though, theres this case coming out for the 2000 that gives it R2 and L2 buttons which is awesome for remote play
I've been wanting to get one for a while, i don't really care about the OLED and with it being slimmer, better battery life, and having better buttons, i can't think of a reason not to upgrade from my 1000 to the 2000
At least you have some good games
i remember picking up the 2000 for the first time and being surprised at how light it was. very surprised at the durability of this too. ive sat on it numerous times by accident and dropped it too and theres only 3 tiny scratches on the back with none on the front.
feel guilty for this vita though. i have yet to buy a screen protector or case for it yet lol
Depends if you're using wifi or not.
For slim, mine lasted 4-5 hours with wifi on while playing helldiver.
With hyperdevotion norie, it can last like 6-7 hours since it doesn't use wifi.
>Own a Vita 2000 since summer 2014
>Got 85 titles on it by now
>Huge fucking backlog
>There are also 10-12 upcoming and recent titles at least that also interest me a lot
I'm really bad at finishing games. I always get distracted by something else, so they take a long time to finish.
I have a job that is well paid (I generally have 1k left after paying food and fees) and I also sold a lot of useless stuff beforehand (old video games of systems I no longer own + books)
Granted half of my Vita library are ports/multiplats but I just prefer getting them on the handheld for the portability and convenience.
>want to get more use of my vita
>have about 10 hours in p4g but can't get myself to play for long periods of time to try and finish it
>was thinking of getting more unlocked in dr2 but don't feel like it
>haven't started on dragon's crown
>too depressed most of the time to get myself to do any of this anyway
Fucking this, although I don't really have any vita titles right now. I'm at the end of both EO4 and SMT4. Speaking of which I should probably finish 999 so I can play VLR on my vita.
anyone got one of these yet?
its supposed to add L2 R2 support but its only in JP so far
Consistent play? about 4-6 hours for me depending on the game.
However since I usually play it in 30-45 minute sessions during my break at work, mine lasts about 4-5 days before I need to recharge it.
Make sure to turn off the bluetooth shit and wireless when in idle-mode unless you're using them, that saved me a shitload of battery life in the long-run.
So does two screens. But I like both my handhelds so whatever.
