How does this make /v/ feel?
>Alliance Attacks: These special moves are only available to main characters
>40 units type when DD2 had 30
>Revenge Mode is just a stat boost
I'd say that while many little things are great, the overall game design feels lazily implemented, in the purest NIS fashion..
If their company is about to explode then why are they releasing this on PS4 and not PS3? Like the ps3 can't handle disgaea's AMAZING graphics? or do you think sony is just giving them the money to make it on the condition that its a ps4 exclusive
4 was the fix 3 needed, but it failed to add its own flavour to the gameplay. DD2 was clearly a cashgrab, but some of the casualised content was actually welcomed and benefical.
5 is playing it way too safe imo. Like, why limit the duat tech to the main cast? sure, with 40 characters it means over a thousand combos, but this is the PS4, they should see big.
The main characters only thing is shit, I don't mind only 40 unit types since game 1 I've only ever used about 5 or 6, and I'm curious what you thought what revenge mode could've possibly been
Chances are I'll likely get it on sale. I bought DD2 since the first disgaea was a first love somewhat. Man was I disappointed overall. I had avoided talk of the game to avoid spoilers. Instead I just got "HAHA you thought it was a sequel: The dbz movie"
Good fucking tunes though at least.
>I'm curious what you thought what revenge mode could've possibly been
unlocking skills, or a special evility, or allows to bring more units in the map, or something that isn't just a boring "stats +X%".
It's going to have 100 units at a time and even d4 on ps3 had some framerate issues.
The vita has more framerate issues than the ps3 version but that is another storyThe ps3 couldn't handle it
Regular ds and it's the first game.
Play them in order of release because it will be harder to play an older title because the mechanics of the previous game feel more dated with each no release and it's hard to go back to those.
Make sure you play the psp version of 2.
I've got the PsP version.
Trying to find a physical copy of the 2nd but with no luck, think I might have to emulate it.
So its not a good idea to jump straight into DD2 ?
For 3 & 4 PSV or Ps3 versions? I'd prefer to play on a TV, though I'm guessing it would cost a small fortune to get all the DLC?
>>So its not a good idea to jump straight into DD2 ?
Yes it's a bad idea since like I said before with the improved mechanics it will be very hard to play a previous title.
>For 3 & 4 PSV or Ps3 versions?
Vita versions have all the dlc and if you prefer tv those two do work on the vita tv. PS3 version both have about $50 worth of dlc but really the story dlc is only what matters
