The campaign of BF3 was about as cookie-cutter modern-military FPS as you can get. No one will remember it. Why the hell would you even put it into a game that's primarily multiplayer? Why not just have a basic as fuck tutorial and spend your time on the multiplayer?
You came out with BF4 immediately after BF3. You and I both know this is never good both for the rushed/re-skinned sequel, and for the community of the franchise as a whole, constantly being ripped apart like that. Neither BF3 nor NF4 had anywhere near the cult following of BF2, and I'd wager pulling the rug out from under them so much was the cause of it. You may have made more money off of BF3 and BF4 than BF2, but there's no denying the fact that fans uphold BF2 as the jewel of the crown, and focus of their nostalgia on that title. THAT is how you establish a franchise. What you are doing now is milking it, and you are cheapening the long-term viability of your title if favor of short-lived success. Look at how CoD lasted barely longer than a generation before its sales peaked, and GTA is in their prime, having lasted much longer.
Battlepacks are stupid. Just let me pick the shit I want from the get-go instead of having me cross my fingers and hope to get the Kobra sight. Oh and gee, thanks for unlocking that potato grip for a weapon I don't even have yet.

I'd imagine it'd be easy to blame EA for giving them uncompromising deadlines, but bf4 was based on the same engine, had similar gameplay, similar look and feel as 3 and its launch period was an even bigger clusterfuck of an embarrassment than bf3
battlepacks are designed to extend the grinding and unlocking period, thus more incentive for the player to stay playing the game and buy the overpriced DLC, if they haven't caved in to get the season pass already

because they literally can't anymore. They're wholly entrenched in EA's design models to bleed players dry, so they focus on shit like battlepacks instead of making the core gameplay interesting. In the next game, all you're gonna see is the same modes with slightly different 'upgraded' visuals - if that faggot of an art director doesn't decide to blind your screen with a shitload of obnoxious effects first
they don't even know what made BC1/2 fun in the first place (even that is arguable, but they sure as hell were better than bf3 and 4) and they're supposed to work on a sequel as we speak

Indeed. In HL, the maps seem so small in the vehicle game because of so much mobility; yet, the gameplay is pretty average -- and the best option is just repair.
I like the game, what I don't like is having to wait a few minutes at a loadscreen, not getting any progression if i'm booted by an admin or having to pay more than the base game for map packs.
