DaoC is objectively the best
my personal favorite has to be FlyFF or lunia but noone here played those anyway
Tried to get back into it. But all anyone does is stand around in capital cities waiting for bgs and dungeons. Its boring now.
Wow used to be a 50/50 game. They could have gone one of two directions. All in with the dungeons, bgs, and instanced content. Or all in with the open world content.
They chose the first. They chose wrong.
Vanilla WoW was good.
XI was good.
Sword of the New World (Granado Espada) was good.
Everquest was good.
Anarchy Online was good.
Post-BC WoW is shit.
XIV is shit.
GW2 is pretty shit.
archeage is actually the best, but its ruined by every single person involved with it inside and out being complete garbage ass cancer
if we're talking best one that ever existed id have to agree with DAoC, in its short lived prime it was a gameplay experience thatll probably never be produced again by any game ever
Tera is shit but its honestly the only MMO that can hold my attention these days.
the game is garbage now, but during its prime it will never be topped
Have you gotten to endgame yet
There's only a handful of groups NA across all servers who have cleared SCHM.
Objectively, best MMO's are the games that pretty much started the genre. Granted there can only be one "first" game, but many of the early games tried different things that jumpstarted it. Everquest, Dark Age of Camelot, Anarchy Online, Star Wars Galaxies are the 4 Horsemen. The beginning of the end.
I'm in a solo guild and ranked top 10 in most things on server. as long as you're social and find people to run with you'll be fine. Guilds are only required if you want a castle.
What server are you on, anon?
>not enjoying FFXIV
>not playing as a cute catgirl
>not holding a wedding with your gf and getting a chocobo for two
>not joining the cooking guild
>not enjoying a varied world with lots of combat/non combat options, actually feels like a fleshed out world
>not being able to change classes at will just by changing your equipment
For everyone who rants about wanting a Sword Art MMO, this is what you want. Not as good as XI but immersive and fun to dick about in.
or you can just get a guild like a normal person.
if you want to clear runs with good people you need to be social in the game, if you dont want to socialize then play a single player game.
im on lake of tears, /terag/ is cancer but if you happen to stop in there when you get home from work and happen to be on my server i'll add you
black desert combat is pretty fun
probably funnest combat i've done in an mmo
only problem is it's too easy
russians are already fixing that and hopefully by NA release all the koreashit is gone
i really, really don't want to get my hopes up about it but at the same time i'm really, really excited for it. it looks like everything i want out of an mmo, except
is there going to be an rp server NA?
it's pretty themepark so far, running from area to area doing quests and killing things, though with the combat it's honestly pretty fun
there's also this crazy node system where you can unlock areas by doing quests for the owners and connecting it to a town and hiring workers to do errands/farm the area, you can actually see them in game/craft your own carriage and make the workers ride it and trade with other towns real time
trading is kind of like archeage with the open sea stuff and trade routes
also the environments are pretty amazing, like rain making things wet
i'm only level 27 so far and waiting for GFs characters to be deleted (takes 3 days to delete any character lel) so i'm not that far, no idea about dungeons but I heard they were easy
it has potential..
