What is even the point of this stupid game? I get to the first boss and I cant even beat it because the god forsaken korean grind required to progress in this game at all???? Good thing NINTENDO made an MMO without the M part why did you guys even say this shit game was good holy shit /v/
>This genre doesn't cater to my low attention span!
Back to playing the COD campaigns for you m8
KutKu fags are truly the worst kind. I mean. You got Narga and its subspecies which is different enough from other monters along with being a candidate to apply bleeding which is a new status effect.
And you also have Quropeco which is also an interesting monster that summons others to his aid and also provides buffs and heals that you can use on yourself if you throw a sonic at the right time. That makes it an interesting concept which could be expanded upon but nope.
KutKu fags with their faggotry wanted their beloved generic wyvern back which is literally LITERALLY a fucking rathian i mean.
What is a KutKu?
Take a Rathian and remove the flying and some attacks and you got KutKu.
180` tailspin x2 ? Check !
Face you then body charge with broken hitbox ? Check !
3 x Charge in a row? Check !
Charging and then falling on its own ass? Check !
Fireballs?? Check !
Now lets see KutKu subspecies
Ok whats with it ! Its literally the same thing but its on High rank. Like whaaaaat? Is this an RPG? Do you take the same monster from the early stages, slap it later recolor it and make it stronger and call it a day?
Yep ! Well there you go ! KutKu subspecies ! Awesome !
Now theres also Yian Garuga ! But hey that one is unique ! No, fuck you KutKu fags. Same fucking shit.
Take a KutKu. Make it purple and edgy. Make it attack more frequently with faster attacks and also reduce the cooldown between attacks. There you go ! OH WAIT WAIT lets give it Rathians Poison tail flip! Like No one will notice that its a reskinned rathian at all right ?? LOL.
Meanwhile we lost the chance to have Nargacuga jumping between the walls taking advantage of its mobility and the new vertical environments for a truly engaging experience.
It was all lost. And thats to why.
KutKu fags. The ones that keep posting KutKu pictures in the fucking thread thinking they are hot shit.
Yes thats it. Lets hope that MH5 for vita will fix that.
>being a wageslave
i want normies to leave
>you need to grind to beat the first boss
No you don't, you can beat it easily in the starter gear, hell they start you off on its BACK, you are just seriously too casual for this game.
OP, all you need to do is get one set of low rank armor and keep upgrading your weapon when you can't whack monsters without recoil and you're good.
It'll take 1 hour tops to get a decent set of armor and weapon.
After that, you're golden if you know how to dodge or block, depending on your weapon.
Depending on who you mean by "First boss" you are probably already more than equipped right from word go.
Starting Armour and weapons will take you through to 3 star caravan no issue.
Sorry to hear that you can't put in the effort required to slay giants, anon.
I'm being honest though, after that 1 hour you'll think "why am I so good now?"
It'll be because you've gained experience and won't even need to crafter further armor sets.
The only reason to craft new weapons would be if you like the designs and stats they give you.
This all applies to low rank and high rank by the way.
G-Rank players will give you problems if you don't have certain skills for your weapon sets unfortunately as they will not be interested in carrying you to the final boss of the online quests.
>OP hears bullshit about Monhun being grindfest
>sucks shit at the game
>"It can't be that I'm a terrible player, it must be that I haven't done enough grinding"
>it screams, stunned
>in the animation of coming out of stun, Palico hits me and puts me into another stun animation
>Rathalos runs at me and clips me with his leg
Why you fucking cat, why
Sony made the MMO without the M part. It's all Sony's fault.
You really need to spend more time on the game, thats what annoys me too..
Beat Rathian after 3 fails, just to learn her attack-patterns and behavior, go on trying to kill Lagiacrus -> need to learn his skillset first..
It's really time consuming to git gud at this game, but I think once you have the knowledge it's one of the best games out there
>forced into cover ears animation, can't move
>take fireball to the back because I literally can't do shit
>tumble across the area while on fire for more than a second
>as I'm slowly getting up, it charges into me, knocking me across the area again tumbling
>tailwhip time! Sent tumbling across the area again
>slowly get up
>he flapped in my general direction while getting up, so now I'm stuck in another seconds long animation where I'm recoiling from the oh so scary wind
>fireball in face because I still can't do shit
>stunned (but not on fire because I was already on fire)
>almost out of stun
>rathalos teleports his claws into my face from across the area
Went from a full 150hp to dead without any chance to avoid or escape. I was completely without control of my character for the entire duration of this rape.
DSP started playing the game a week before his stream in preparation and was asking the community if Great Jaggi was a boss and if he could avoid it because he was failing so hard at it.
Why is Azure Rathalos such A FUCKING CUNT HOLY SHIT FUCK THIS GUY
>heh u made me mad kid...
>*summons inner dragon energy to boost my speed to sonac levels*
>*flies above so you can hit me*
>*read your mind so I know where you will dodge*
>*appears behind you and stabs with you my dragon venom claw*
>*use my super strength to kill u if you try to stop and heal and my super speed to cancel my backswing you if u heal you die and if you don't the poison kills u*
>nothin personnel kid...
I really wanted to sodomize his input reading ass once I finally had this faggot capped holy shit that was only slightly better than gravios
>intro cutscene shows him fighting Seregios
>oh cool maybe I can make this work for me
>chase one away first so I can concentrate on fighting
>follw the paintball marker to next area
>find him with Seregios completely calm and having a good old time
>apparently even though his waifu got raped hard by Seregios its cool now they're bros and just want to fuck me over
This was some wasted potential
>implying you get anything with earplugs that early on in the game
>implying disposables are available that early either
The input reading is super blatant this game, more so than the other games. Half the time when a monster charges they'll do it so they'll end up where I'm running to based on the direction input I'm holding. Or when I'm low on health they beeline for me and won't let up, and start using the most broken spazzy attacks they've got to try and catch me in bullshit for the cart. Or if I'm poisoned they'll stay on my ass ignoring the cats so I can't pop an antidote without having their claws buried up my ass.
And this is high rank, I can't imagine the bullshit that's in g rank. 3U didn't really bust out the input reading and psychic monsters until late into G2, from what I rememebr. Even FU G rank didn't pull the kind of bullshit I've seen in 4G so far.
It seems more like he got caught in the longest combo ever due to pure bad luck, the way I read it he was constantly getting knocked around and stunned before he could even regain control of the character, which does happen rarely if everything lines up just right but never heard of being combod that long and that perfectly from full health to death. Usually that shit happens in G rank and it's one two you're dead.
You can't easily get earplugs at that point iirc and disposables aren't available then either, unless you can combine for them somehow.
And speaking of rage modes, does anyone else find it sort of unfair that monsters can get power boosts like that for free?
It would make sense if the monsters become exhausted as fuck after their rage ends and so a tactic would be to run around and try to exhaust it as much as possible during the rage Maybe stuff like hunting horn could have specific songs for taunting monsters into rage faster while your party is able to handle it and prepared to take advantage of their vulnerability when they're tired. Of if not, hell, lower the monster defense while enraged, they're mad as fuck and less focused on being cautious and defending themselves, and would also reward riskier play.
He makes cute noises and looks stupid.
Now you can get power boosts like that for free as well!
Monsters actually do often get exhausted from rage mode because they throw around a lot of attacks, draining their stamina.
As awesome as 2 monsters fighting each other would actually I can see a lot of abusable things you could do
You have to keep in mind that the way a monsters attacks scale against the player is significantly different to against another monster.
Monsters also don't have invulnerability periods like players do after taking a hit or being knocked down so if the attack as multiple damage frames they are all hitting. I've seen an enraged Savage Deviljho's breath attack one shot a Great Wroggi.
>Give Dala a gorillian HP
>Almost no threatening moves
or none at all if you can dodge
>Call it a legendary elder dragon
>Dala in general
What the fuck were they thinking
The problem I had at least with 3U was that they recycled movesets - a fucking lot.
All those stupid two-legged Wyverns all have the same moveset with pretty much one or two unique moves.
>Finally play enough to reach Gore Magala in Caravan quests
>Boat trip was full retard but didn't cart at least
>The "escort" gave more proper experience of fighting the faggot of a thing
>Purple explosions everywhere but still don't cart
>Get the mission to kill it
>Get facerolled into a wall 5-sec carted upon starting the fight with it with literally no chance to get away from its bullshit
>Go back and try again
>End up using 10 mega potions during a 20min fight of pure bullshit but at least didn't cart again and the thing finally dies
Is this the point where shit only gets worse or are Magalas just some extra special kind of fucking retarded?
>Getting rekt by Great Jaggi
You might just be the most casual person to ever play the game. I applaud, anon.
you're complaining about a low amount of time to play games yet here you are posting on /v/. just get good or stop playing, the grinding isn't even that bad compared to other games.
>Implying Crapcom will ever move MH back to Sony
>After 3U and 4U outsell literally every other MH game in existence.
Doesn't sound too promising. I mean Magala was the first monster to make me cart and this is my first MH but I just didn't find any part of it fun.
I guess shit like that are better online.
Does anyone else here miss some of the Leviathan hunts?
minus the underwater segments
I wanna mount a Ludroth, and I really miss Lagi
Stop. If you are taking too long and never cart it's because you are too cautious.
Attack more, learn to dodge and never stop attacking. You'll learn more by failing some times. And when you can be attacking all the time and never get hit, that's when the true fun starts.
ohgawd what is this thread....OP is a pleb. MH will never come back to sony, MHFU was and is the greatest thing ever. And i'm keking that you don't think Akantor is the biggest cutie pie
Any tips for Guard Lancing? Especially when playing online? I have a hard enough time pulling off counters, but I can pretty much forget it when I'm playing online. Especially against fast and agile monsters like Teostra it seems that pulling off a Lv 3 counter is all but a vain attempt. Honestly, it feels like I haven't got much of a clue at all how to play as a Guard Lancer. Not in an effective manner at least.
underwater combat was sweaty balls, but not to the point where I wanted it outright removed. They could've just improved it. I miss all of the MH3 monsters. They were so good.
>start MH at 3U
>whoa this is great, these monsters are so awesome and creative
>wonder what I missed out on
>4U announced, looking forward to finding out all the great stuff I missed
>they're fucking shit
Fuck the Dromes, and ESEPCIALLY Cephadrome.
Either they're boring as fuck or incredibly cheap and frustrating. Gypceros gets a pass for being a sneaky bastard even though he spends most of the fight just running around puking venom like a fucking headless chicken.
Most of the interesting monsters like Barroth, Nargacuga, Seltas and Queen, Duramboros and Jho from the later entries of the series, I'm don't know why they took out Peco and Giginox for boring cheap or gimped versions.
>Fuck the Dromes, and ESEPCIALLY Cephadrome.
I don't even understand what the point of them is. Just to be there and be annoying?
>hurr here have some velociraptor clones
>nevermind they are all the same fucking thing with minor differences
>lets put em everywhere and be super common
Similar with the Kut-Ku clones but doesn't feel they are as many as the fucking dromes.
>I'm tired of charging my Great Sword, I'll try comboing
That's how you sound. Just because you can do it, doesn't mean it's good.
If you are tired of lancing, try another weapon. Charge axe if you want to counter, or Gunlance if you want to guard.
Only started playing since 3U, was excited to face the infamous older monsters that I only heard of before like kut Ku, tigrex, kirin, etc
Now I'm G Crown and finally saw a Yian Garuga in my HR expedition.
Jesus fucking Christ. I'm in mid G rank gear and he's still giving me a run for my money with his damage and hyper aggressiveness as well as unstoppable wombo combos and ailments like burning and poison.
Jesus Christ is Yian Garuga supposed to be this insane? Now I'm scared to see him in g rank.
Things that you could have done to avoid this from happening:
>Not stood in front of his fucking mouth. Rathalos has a long animation before he begins his roar, and EVERYTIME he roars, he will hop back and shoot. Position yourself to not get hit by the fire.
>Delay getting up. You can't be hit during the majority of the standing animation, so don't get up right away
>Waggle faster to get rid of stun. This is actually a really annoying mechanic.
>Again, delay getting up if you suspect you will get fucked by the wind.
Basically, while getting comboed sucks, and it is possible to get stuck in a combo with no hope of escape, in this case you had nobody to blame but yourself.
If you are not competent at dodging, maybe use a weapon you can block with. Even if it isn't your primary method of defence, a quick block when you are in a bad position is better than getting into a combo.
>reach caravan Apex Steve
>"watch out your weapons will bounce"
>psssht m8 did you see my switch axe
>bounces in sword mode
>"Apex monsters bounce weapons!"
>lol ammo has infini-sharpness
>Shots bounce back at you and make you flinch
I'd never play mh in my life but my buddy passed me his mh3u and said "kill this red ass dragon" (rathalos I think)
He had pretty good gear but I killed it first try just dodging a lot of hits
Anybody who says this game is grind and not skill is a faggot
>Get warned about bouncing while mid-combo
Only ever bounced if I hit the wings
Holy shit this is embarassing.
Why does this guy keep making videos when everyone just makes fun of him. Are there any legitimate DSP fans? I can 't imagine why there would be. He never provides any insightful commentary or cracks any funny jokes or anything. He just plays like shit and then complains.
Because you are playing online before clearing out all village missions. And if you are in G rank gear and a HR monster is giving you trouble, it's obvious you didn't clear village because you are a shitter that can't do so without overpowered gear.
Because you're just rushing through the game and missing half the content
You can't even see certain monsters or unlock quest if you bum rush key quests.
And it reflects your Hunter rank.
Wystones are only essential for apex monsters. Which you only fight in end game so rushing through the game to try and unlock it is only hurting yourself
Don't be surprised when someone kicks your for being in g rank with a sub 40 Hunter rank
I'm g crown hr 104
I have the fully upgraded gogmas weapon and a full stiggyziggy g rank armor.
Who's kicking me?
Seems kind of dumb you're attacking me this much with baseless accusations all because I noted how much damage and how aggressive Garuga is even in HR.
Keep in mind, I never saw him ever before because 3U was my first SK I don't know your fancy older monsters and shit like the back of my hand.
You brought this up upon yourself. Next time, don't be such an obvious carried scrub. It's okay beig new or bad at the game, but it's not okay to get carried like a bitch and ruin online for actual good players
this is my third monster hunter (after FU and 3U) and I carted to the 4U great jaggi because they spawned so many of the little jaggi shitters and they all pecked me while I was trying to kill it
No I didn't and I'm pretty sure me sleeping half the g rank monsters we've faced and bombing the shit out of them isn't "ruining" online for anyone. In fact I'm usually the best hunter in the group because of my sleep bombing.
>wearing a full set
>a full set that isn't even good
You're only making things worse for yourself
Pls just post your Hunter name so I can blacklist you when I see you
Also this is my first monster hunter and I know not to be a carried shit like you and actually do village quests
Are you retarded? You know how Sleep works right? You next hit is basicly tripled. A Triple charged Might seeded and Might Pilled GS with crit draw will do much more damage than a bomb (Sleep is only for one hit, so when one bomb hits thats the sleep hit.) The best set up is for the GS to hit the monster when fully buffed and then someone hit the bombs when it wakes up after the GS hits it.
>almost finished with every Caravan quest available to me
>friends still haven't even gotten to Shaggy
I don't want to blow past them in the Gathering Hall. Sometimes having friends sucks.
Just want to point out that it's possible he had G-rank gear (or hell even HR) and put you against LR Rathalos. You can't normally attain that gear without first beating that Rathalos.
To be able to grind at all you first have to get better at killing monsters, it's not like you can get stronger gear by grinding shitty weak monsters.
>All these people believing this is real
Monster Hunter threads used to start with a bait, it was a rule.
I love this thread because OP is actually right.
I havent played MH4 but god damn I played MH3U and there was so much grinding to get to anything fun. Then when you did finally get to something cool/fun, its so god damn hard that it quickly becomes unfun. Thats why I call it autism hunter.
Guys don't be retarded, OP is trolling.
No one is actually bad enough to get stuck on Jaggi and it's not like there are even many better weapons you can get at that point to make you stronger so the grind doesn't even factor in
Come on, you fuckers, don't fall for shit this obvious.
What is the "fun" thing you get to? Is it fighting the monsters? Because 4U pretty much throws you right in. As for it being too hard that's mostly on the player, if you're dying to low-rank monsters then you're doing things terribly wrong.
I guess asking what the fun is is a good question. I think the only fun I had was the fight with legiacrus then I stopped playing. Even that took me 40 hours to get to. I really didnt like the controls either, and the game does do a shitty job on telling you what to do or how to do it.
Played on the Wii U, dunno if the 3DS was better.
I mean you sound like you're still willing to give it a try, and 4U rectified pretty much everything you're saying was bad. There's a demo, but I'm not sure how good it is since I've never tried it though.
I really wanted to get into it, but the game literally did everything it could to make me hate it. I was always looking something up every 5 minutes because I had no clue where to even begin to look for something. Plus I used the Dual Blades and I think they kinda sucked ass. I wanted to use the greatsword but it was to damn slow to actually kill anything.
I'm fucking laughing my ass off over here
Sure, it's everyone else's fault you get hit. You're an amazing player, you just get reckt because the monsters are reading your inputs (????) because this is a fighting game.
I work 8 hours a day 5 times a week from 7am to 3pm and I still have at least 4 hours per day to play games.
I've clocked over 100 hours on MH4 during these past two weeks.
Get your priorities straight faggot, working doesn't mean you have to abandon games, it just means you have to plan your free time more carefully and not waste it on useless shit like shitposting on /v/
That's a nice boss fight you have there.
Would be a shame if anyone were to interrupt it.
Gravios does head towards where you're running though. I noticed it when a far away one stated charging, I ran towards the left then fucked up an input and drank a potion, stopping me in my tracks. The thing just ran past me.
And if you had to aim at a running target, would you aim right at it or where it was going? You could call it "Input reading", but this isn't some sort of one frame reaction that's only possible from reading inputs. Input reading would be a boss like Khezu electrifying itself the moment you pressed an attack button that had a long animation.
I guess you're new to MH? Most monster charges past FU will track you until a certain point, but they can only turn so sharply. This is why back in FU it was easier to dodge Tigrex up close than far away; he had less time to correct. If charges didn't track they'd just be massive unthreatening openings.
Is there anything wrong with using full sets because you like the way they look, and for just the skills it gives you? I understand the purpose of clown-suits, but I just don't like mixing my shit around.
Having a full set makes me feel like I've accomplished something, by killing a monster enough to get everything I needed to make its set.
Why is it casual to not want to min/max everything, and just hunt monsters? Isn't it enough to just be proficient at the weapon you're using, and know what you're doing?
Yes, that's plenty. Gear is useful and it's best to have a weapon of the appropriate rank and sharpness for the monster you're fighting, but armor's impact is much smaller, even with skills.
find the monster you hate the most. Kill it lots. Wear it's skin. Kill his brethern while wearing his skin.
That's just heading in the direction you're running. You should catch on the first time you see a monster do it, and counter them.
Calling that "input reading" is retarded, its like calling any aggressive action a monster does towards you input reading.
>Not the new fuckery that is konchu
>Hunting Seltas in Steppe
>It's in the mountain ledge area
>Konchus overshoot it and go flying off the ledge to the bottom
>Fight seltas for a while
>Suddenly konchu barrage right in my ass
>The tenacious fuckers climbed the walls just to do that
Okay, you're right, fuck that
>Swing my weapon at the monster
>Weapon bounces even though I'm sharp
>There was one of these fuckers rolling towards me from the other side of the monster
>get hit by monster during bounce animation
Ok good, cause until these threads I didn't even think about mixing armors for different skills, and that's all that people talk about when "gitting gud" is involved. I've never been kicked for not wearing a clown-suit, but I was still wondering if I wasn't following the social norms online.
I just want to hit monsters with weapons way too large for my hunters frame and cripple them to death.
>find the monster you hate the most. Kill it lots. Wear it's skin. Kill his brethern while wearing his skin.
>mfw that's all I think about when I use a full set against a monster
>"I'm wearing your cousins skin, and it feels good"
>mfw slicing though chu's with sword mode SA
WHAT NOW YOU DIRTY LITTLE SHITS
Magala can be a bitch for new players, it's kinda fast and can deal some nice dmg especially if you have shitty armor.
But it's different for everyone, I raped monsters that everyone finds difficult, but had a hard time with others that not so many complain about.
If you fight a monster a few times, you'll know it's moveset and can tell what is going to happen next so it get's very easier later on.
What weapon are you using?
Gore is absolutely fucking nothing compared to some of the HR and G monsters.
You notice how it loves to spit shit at you and use its claws? Maybe you should stay away from its fucking face then.
No they fucking don't. Their defense is increased, usually by around 1.2. There are a few exceptions, but that's it.
Forgot to add those to me IG inventory loadout.
Where should you throw a flashbomb, generally?
How many tranq bombs do you generally need when the monster is limping? I did that quest to capture the raptor thing in hollow, and I just panicked and nuked that motherfucker with three tranqs.
>Where should you throw a flashbomb, generally?
I dunno, in the monsters cone of vision?
Only do it if it's flying or if you desperatley need time to heal/sharpen/set up a trap
What I like to do is pitfall a flying monster, then flash it when it jumps out of the trap. Give you a nice 20 seconds to go to town on it.
If you can't beat a Great Jaggi then it's time to put down video games for good. We're talking about a monster where every single part of it is a weakpoint and some parts are even weaker, and his attacks involve shouting for help and doing a hip slam he telegraphs a week in advance that hits like a brick made of foam. I love him dearly.
>I'm so insecure I need to push the fact that I played a game in a way more irritating than someone who played in a different and perfectly valid way
>fighting yian garuga
>calms down, then rages
>after a good 10 minutes, drooling and tired
>get 2 combos off
>back to rage
>seriously? I thought you were tired
i'd moreso like to see once the monster IS drained that they CANT go back into rage mode.
>sleep SnS in Gathering Hall
>shortcut chat that I'll plant bombs
>le pellet shot man hits bomb and sends me flying
>or longsword uchicha the sasukehog will use his poke it sleeping
I just want to plant bombs or let Greatsword-kun unleash on a sleeping things.
>deliver 2 Wyvern eggs while Tigrex and Brute Tigrex are there
>mfw barely out running Brute Tigrex while he throws boulders at me carrying last egg
Could have easily just killed them but it was faster to avoid them.
>I played like a retard, so everyone else should too!
Typical MonHun faggot. Let me guess, you also average G-rank S.Zinogres in under 5 minutes with a yellow-sharpness sns? I love the game, but I can never believe the amount of sheer retardedness that the community breeds.
Fuck dude, you're using a WEAPON?
That's casual as shit, real players just let jaggi and the cats do everything
Sounds like it just isn't the game for you.
>takes forever to get to anything fun
>had to look up stuff cause I didn't know where to look
You're describing the aspects of the game people like. Adventure, Exploration, Training, etc. Those are rewarding exercises in the world of the game. If you're not enjoying it, you probably just don't like the game, no shame in that. Just play something else.
This reminds me of the very first IGN review of Monster Hunter Freedom 2.
Alright vee I'm on HR3 lowest shit I believe, just killed that monkey faggot that closes his elephant face and goes
bananason your ass for a while.
First MH game, when should I start paying attention to armour skills? Right now I'm just rocking random shit that has the best defence that I have the bits for. Also using a 'Stealth Glaive' insect glaive atm. Should I keep upgrading this fucker?
Also how the fuck do you build the damage bonuses with the insect glaive? Tried a couple youtube guides but 2dumb.
Stealth Glaive is a good path.
Don't and match armor pieces randomly. A good early armor set to make is the Velociprey or Tetsucabra set.
Hit different monster parts with your bug for different essences. In general, Head=Red, Body=Orange, Legs/Wings=White. Red gives you a stronger moveset, white improves speed and jump, Orange is defense. Combining them gives extra effects like attack bonus and earplugs.
You don't really NEED anything specific, just check out the armor sets at the blacksmith, and read the descriptions of the skills it gives and choose one with some skills you like, it's all personal preference.
Remember: You need 10 points in a skill for it to activate. Some skills get even better when you get 15/20/etc. points as we
Cheers bros, have some booty as a thanks.
There are a few quests where they're in the supply box at the start, just bring the materials. The reason you can't craft them is because they're actually OP as fuck. The disposable earplugs come in around Caravan 8 or 9 star.
>placeable raw and tinged meat
Do these work on anything else besides Deviljo? I assume it's only when they're drooling, but will they only go for it if I don't have the red eye attention icon? Or if they don't see me put it down? Only if I place it in another area?
If you're still in Low Rank, then the 2 suggested sets to aim for are Velociprey and Tetsucabra. Velociprey gives Attack Up and Halve-Stun, so you don't get stunned as often during a monster's wombo combo. Tetsucabra gives Defense Up and Health Up which matters more when you don't have your food ingredients upgraded yet.
It depends on the diet of the monster. If it's an herbivore or feeds on bones, then dropping poisoned/tinged/drugged meat is pointless. They're stupidly effective on Deviljho because he has the metabolism of a powerlifter.
Kirin and Gravios feel like they're just fucking around and doing random attacks rather than actually trying to kill you.
Fucking awful fights.
Don't worry man, I was in the same boat as you when I first fought it. He really weirded me out at first due to him NOT being a Rath reskin like fucking everything else with wings (which I was much more used to), but ultimately is pretty easy.
But then I realized that he REALLY likes his ranged and claw attacks and figured out that staying directly under him or to his sides was the best thing to do.
Now I can down him in 5 minutes without even having to heal, and sometimes I run into the frenzy circles on purpose because they're basically free buffs.
