>games from your childhood that do not hold up today at all
For me, that game is Morrowind. I have fond memories of it, but trying to play it now is just a massive chore.
Team Fortress 2
I think it's time for a Team Fortress 3. Needs a new engine and a fresh start. Game is terribly unbalanced. New weapons are there, but often go ignored because there's much better choices.
What happened to Emiri-chan?
Did some Yakuza cum full force in mouth and ass?
This one hurt bad because I was so good at it when I was a kid, I couldn't believe how unplayable it is when I played it again a few months ago
I was 7 when I first played it.
It was my first PS2 game.
I experienced a magical and enthralling cast of characters in a beautifully childlike setting.
Replaying it makes me feel empty, and it only reminds how much I took my youthful perspective for granted.
My gf got a PS1 the other day so I brought over a bunch of games for us to play. I used to play Unholy war endlessly, but when we booted it up it seemed really boring and lackluster...
Medieval on the other hand is fucking fun as fuck.
>played the shit out of pic related as a kid
>download it and try playing it
>it's fucking awful
I really enjoyed pic related, but every time I try playing it nowadays it's just really unenjoyable. Adventure 2 at least had the superior Chao garden.
>For me, that game is Morrowind. I have fond memories of it, but trying to play it now is just a massive chore.
This is true for me but only because morrowind always takes a framerate dump on modern hardware and I cant get the shit to be playable on an enjoyable level.
>replaying KH in 1.5 recently
>30 seconds later
>YEAH I'LL HELP YOU WE'RE FRIENDS RIGHT
Sora you talked to him for like five seconds that's not how friends work
I never played it as a kid and tried playing KH recently and just what the fuck. How do people like this? The annoying gummi ship. The combat. The camera. The awkward platforming.
>I was 7 when I first played it.
I played it near the end of my teen years for the first time when it came out and it was just fine. Maybe you just associate to many things with it and now it is hard to play again in retrospect.
some people force themselves to do it the boring way and abuse alchemy to make gold then train skills so you can get 5/5/1 stats every level up until you max all attributes.
this is why I cant play morrowind anymore.
neo-/v/ is a meme I made up last week in order to feel superior in one thread fight I was losing. Also I heard it uttered in Dear Esther and thought it must of meant something deep.

god I can't find my "GAMES DON'T AGE YOU RETARDED FAGGOT THEY'RE STATIC PIECES OF DATA HOW FUCKING RETARDED CAN YOU BE IT'S YOU THAT GOD OLDER, YOU THAT BECAME A JADED FUCK, YOU THAT CAN'T ENJOY GOOD VIDEO GAMES ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU'VE BEEN SPOILED BY COD-TIER CODDLING. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. NOT THE GAMES. GAMES. DO. NOT. FUCKING. AGE. YOU. COMPLETE. FUCKING. RETARD" bait pasta in the archive at all
There are aspects to any media that can age. If if you discount the mechanical aspects of gameplay or graphics as people being to spoiled. there are still things like pop-cultural references and other dated story elements, a games being reliant on a multiplayer community that doesn't exist anymore, a problem that will start to ensue for people in the future is a game needing patches and dlc that cant be given anymore because of lack of support etc. I'm sure we could think of other things if we tried.
>Little Big Adventure or Relentless
I can't stand those controls.
Pretty much every shooter on the N64
Goldeneye was the tits when it came out, but fuck anyone that thinks that control scheme is good.
Also fuck shadow man.
Alternatively, Castlevania and Stronghold Crusader held up just fine. I could play those any day and have a blast. Mario 64 is also one that stayed really good, though for whatever reason I can't bring myself to enjoy banjo-kazooie/donkey kong 64/banjo-tooie anymore.
To be fair it's decent enough if you look at it objectively from a game play perspective. It's not amazing but it's early PS2 "decent".
Maybe its the nostalgia trigger in general.
This shit is so fucking bizarre. I understand that the person/people who make them are doing it for the weird shock value, but holy fuck that is some EFFORT put into these drawings; the detail is uncanny.
I don't understand it in the slightest, but I won't even ask.
