Why doth thou worry about the color of thine bitches?
Why are there no games where you can pilot police mechs and do police things?
>tfw didn't get to play chromehounds before it died
Metal Wolf Chaos. If you disagree, you probably root for the terrorists.
I can't wait till this get's released, can't think of the name though.
Any mechwarrior besides Online >
MW4 was fucking shit, they seriously downgraded from MW3.
>People shitting on MW4
You don't know what you're talking about. Sure it wasn't as great as 3 or 2, but it was still pretty good. Get out of here you meme spamming faggots. I bet none of you have even heard of this series until your tumblr pals best friends faggots made a video on it. Go back to Reddit.
Are you joking? MW4 was an all around downgrade with damage models, cockpits, and immerse features. It didn't make any changes to the campaign, and the only good thing it did was add more mechs to the roster.
Basing from this, so at least 2 and 3 are must-plays right?
I have a copy somewhere gathering dust and I loved the fuck out of the Mechwarrior 2 Demo included in an Activision Demo Pack.
I can only speak for myself, but I use Windows 7 64 bit, and I've had no issues with Mechwarrior 2 and 4. Three took a bit of work, but limiting the FPS via driver profiles made it work well. I haven't tried Mechwarrior 1, but I imagine it's DOS only and via dosbox. The windows version of 2 works fantastically.
I got it working well by limiting the FPS via driver profiles. That removed the bouncing APCs and all that jazz, making it work very well. I haven't tried Pirate Moon, though, so the jury's out on that.
You wanna give this a try?
I do recall getting
4to run long ago. Man, that thing felt unsatisfying to play. I should really re-install Mech 2 and finally try 3 out as well.
I actually recently got MW3 off ISOzone and ran it in Windows XP compatibility mode and it works just fine.
I only recently got into Mechwarrior, didn't play it when I was younger because I didn't own a PC back then.
From the ones I used in the MW4 instant action, Zues was probably my favorite just because it's a fucking killing machine. Still trying out the MW3 mechs.
If you'd let me get away with saying Custom Robo, then I'll then move on with trying to get away with murde
Armored Core Last Raven, Zone of the Enders, Gundam vs Zeta Gundam and Metal Wolf Chaos are my top
J.Phoenix, Omega Boost, Mechwarrior, and Robotech Battlecry, Cyberbots, Tech Romancer, R.A.D., Gunhound E.X., Windom, Armored Warrior, Virtual-On, and Gundam Extreme Vs. and Gundam Dynasty Warriors are other games you should check.
I can't believe how many I own and talk about. I probably make /m/ look normal.
There was one import I have that's a first person shooter, but I don't remember the name.
There's another one I used to have that was like a survival horror game with first person mechs, but I don't even remember the name or the system. I had it as a kid though
Oh shit, and one of the EDF games has an awesome mecha in it. Or at least appeals to the /m/ audience
Virtual On is also fun stuff like Anon >>287216405 said.
If you have a nearby arcade with the twinstick setup by all means play that shit. If you have a 360 it's on XBLA too. An older version is available on Japanese PSN.
Its fun with a clan or friends.
Learn your mechs, dont spend money like a retard. When you find a mech build you finally want, grinding up the cash for all its parts, then buy the mech with real cash so you dont spend more.
Might as well use this thread to ask.
>finally get around to playing Metal Gear a few years ago
>become obsessed with Metal Gear
>MGS4 is the only game you can actually take control of a Metal Gear
Aside from a possible chance in MGSV The Phantom Pain,
hopefully with a mode in MGO3 or having one accessible during large skirmishes in the campaign, what's the best game I can actually BE the Metal Gear?
This was always a missed opportunity in the games until 4. And it was brief.
Except that it fucking had measures to reduce boating and made the mechs more unique with the new hardpoint system.
Heavy gear and AC are superior to MW anyways, you are all fucking retards.
Yes, mercenaries was amazing. I should clarify further though that everyone saying MW4 is shit don't know what the fuck they are talking about. A lot of the original bitching when it came out was because you couldn't boat on every mech not because of any real downgrading, 4 was far from bad as a whole, hell legging not being an instant kill is a rather massive upgrade.
>Load all available slots with ERPPC
>Hit alpha strike button
Gundam kind of toes the line. Your average mobile suit is normally pretty real robot, but the titular Gundams and pretty much anything that a named character pilots will be doing some crazy shit a lot of the time.
Mechs have little articulation, they are basically bipedal tanks. Mecha are humanoid combat platforms which can zip all over the place and nearly all have articulated fingers.
While on the subject. I remember playing some Mech game ages ago on the PS1 with a friend but I can't remember the name.
It looked a lot like Armored Core. I remember the HUD looking green like that. But I don't think AC1 had any big open forest levels, because that's what I remember playing.
Then I started thinking it might have been one of the other two PS1 AC games but they were never released in Europe.
Anyone have any clue what game I could be talking about? It look a hell of a lot like AC. But could it be some clone?
This is Oscar 3, encountering thread full of faggots, requesting reinforcements, over.
I will never be able to play that game and by the time I can, it will probably be out of reach for new set of reasons. Why do you torture me so anon?
