It's one of those
>if it wasn't on a shitty console maybe it wouldn't have been trash
>all that wasted development time in porting bayonneta AND developing bayonneta 2
>all that time that could be used to improve the sequel and make it run in full 1080p 60fps
Blame toddlers for not making noise about Bayo 2's release. All they want are the same shitty Ninty 1st party games. If it were any other platform than the WiiU its guaranteed to be talked about more
Bayonetta just wasn't very popular to begin with. Put it on a console that the few fans of the first game couldn't care less about, make the framerate even worse than the original and release it in the middle of the season with games on other consoles people own and you get the current situation of nobody ever playing it.
>Is any piece of media memorable anymore?
Not really, primarily because they bombard your ass with marketing prior to release and spoil half the fucking game. I can imagine games would be much more satisfying if you went into full blackout after the initial announcement or something.
Nearly every game ever. Very few games actually garner enough popularity or have enough to talk about to have constant discussion for years.
Not every game is going to be Dark Souls.
poor people are too poor to play bayonetta 2 that's why it''s not talked about much, not many people have access to it due to being poor and ignorant same with the wonderful 101, best 2 games released in a long time
> all those non-idorts salty they didn't get to play bayonetta 2
You can practically taste the tears. Don't be jealous, xboners and sonyponies, you're getting scale bound and bloodborne to hold over the nintendo owner's heads.
You're getting old. When you're young everything is fresh and new and memorable. When you're old you realize almost everything being made is just a product made from recycled ideas to be sold.
Doesn't stop me from being hype that a new episode of Flash is tomorrow.
It's a decent game.
The issue is that the xbone is doing poorly.
Most people that did buy it bought it because of brand loyalty, which means new IPs do even worse than they would otherwise.
Even the studio is unknown the xbox loyalists, so really no reason for them to care.
But also it's a game you finish and forget. Nothing hidden, or interesting, or talk-worthy.
I don't think I ever saw MMORPG get forgotten faster. Some might argue TESO was that, but I think TESO was at least kept topical because MUH ELDER SCROLLS RAPE. Wildstar just fell off the face of the Earth when it launched and it wasn't the WoW killer.
>Does /v/ not like bayonetta 2
The consensus i've found on this board about 2 is that 1 and 2 both do different things better than the other and that while 2 has a bit more polish to it, due to a decent amount of mechanics changing between games 1 is still far more challenging and is generally considered better. That said, 2 is still a good game on its own and I've seen a decent amount of threads for them in the last 2 months or so. The only threads I've seen about The Order were pure shitposting and I dont remeber any threads at all about SO since xbone users dont come here. B2 was just unfortunate enough to release on a dead console really.
Insomniac are a walking corpse at this point, it's sad to say. With the Fuse/Overstrike fiasco (I will never not be mad at 12 year olds now), the last Ratchet and Clank game getting next to no resources, marketing or budget and the increasingly terrible writing in all of their games I've lost a lot of faith in them. It's a shame, because the earlier R&C games are some of the most well voiced and well written games on the system.
For comparison I think FFA was fully of shitty internet memes that were dated at the time and then of course Sunset Overdrive.
>make the framerate even worse than the original
The framerate was never a problem in Bayo2. You can say that it's "worse" because of a digital foundry video, but that's not to say that the original Bayo had a perfect framerate either or that it even mattered because at least the 360 version wasn't as bad as the ps3 version.
If it's better than PS3 Bayo1, then it's alright.
I was aware of Baoy2 and The Order.
What the fuck is Sunset Overdrive and why is the title so bad?
Sounds like a party game that failed before it was announced.
You know, Like the WiiU
YOU WERE ONE OF THE LAST GREAT BASTIONS OF TALENT
I remember when a trailer was shown at e3, it was literally the only thing for the Xbone that held my interest for more then 5 seconds. Then it dropped off the face of the earth never to be seen again.
I personally don't have problems with the framerate (Wonderful 101 is a game where it can be a problem at times) and I've never seen any complaints about it outside of /v/. And on /v/, you really can't tell if there are genuine opinions from people who have played the game or if it's just complaints for the sake of complaints. People like to sugercoat their own spite and try to be objective in their criticism, but it just ends up being exaggerated because they can't find any bigger faults to pick at.
Sometimes I think Microsoft is in the console market just to fuck around.
Rich fuckers don't care if they're successful. Throwing money around, buying out popular studios, making them make shitty games. Making shit games, making a fool of their fans, naming their console "The XBone."
Poor Xbox fags.
Meh, I'd still rank ReSO as the bigger failure, it at least had a big name behind it, so the fall to obscurity was a lot more surprising.
Wildstar really had nothing behind it besides MMO fans, and that well dried up reallllll quick.
Also, no one in there right mind should be using "WoW killer" for anything anymore, outside of a joke.
Real nice post, man. I can tell you worked hard on it.
Do me a favor and work hard on this too, will you?
whips out dick
It was shit that's why.
The real question is, what's with normies thinking these games are shit too? I thought they ate shit but they lately really don't. They just keep eating Cod shit.
Had a shitload of worldbuilding in the single-player that they did JACK SHIT WITH god DAMMIT a fleshed out campaign would have been amazing but nope gotta have that multiplayer, so the single player mode is literally just multiplayer with AI
The fuck you said, motherfucker?
This conversation is over.
Imma go innawoods. Fuck you.
anon, watch dogs still sold 8 million + copies
all you need to do is hype up some game, make it a casual shooter, and release it on the ps4bone (next-gen console owners are starved for vidya) and it will sell millions even if its shit, and even if people think it's shit
Personally, I enjoyed it while it lasted. The story wasn't great but it worked. Mini games were fun until their novelty wore off. Multiplayer was fun for a while too. The problem with Watch Dogs was that as good of a concept it was, it just got boring too quickly.
I only really agree with one of those. The Order always looked like shit, I'd honestly be willing to at least try SO if you put it in front of me, and Bayo2 still gets people salty on top of being an actual good game.
I've never played it.
The title is shitty. Not only that, I generally stay away frp, racing games that aren't renowned. Forza, GT, Driveclub, etc.
Some devs think racing games should be party games. Mario Kart, Need for Speed, fuck it.
>This review proves X is X
Fuck You, kill yourself.
Is it even a game then?
Which reaction image do you want?
You know I've always hated xbox, but honestly the Xbone has better exclusives. Sunset Overdrive, Crackdown, Dead Rising. While Ps4 has nothing except generic dudebro garbage like Killzone. I'm really leaning towards xbone, but the PS4 will probably have more weeb games in the long run.
I've never played Sunset Overdrive, but looking inside from the outside my first assumption is "Ratchet & Clank meets Infamous with a cartoon artstyle". I'm not sure how accurate that is but I'm fairly fucking sure that's closer than judging it as a goddamn racing game.
Why woulf I buy an Xbox One for a game that MIGHT not be shit?
I also don't own a WiiU or a PS4.
My brother had a job interview at Gamestop. He didn't get the job, but he brought back an interesting piece of insight: According to them, games are relevant no more than 3 days after release.
It does make sense, with all the hype and advertisement leading up to disappointing "AAA" games, time and time again. With single player games inherently having less replay value, those are easily forgotten.
DLC adds to the lifetime of games, but is it really worth the (literal) price that we pay?
>According to them, games are relevant no more than 3 days after release.
Fuck 'em. A good game is forever. I know that's not how people with dollar signs in their eyes feel, but seriously, fuck 'em.
In most instances, yes. The only notable exception are Nintendo games but let's be honest here, Nintendo doesn't "play the game", so to speak. They live in their own little bubble, do their own little thing, and at the end of the day get a 2D Mario to sell 15 million copies at full price over the course of 5 years. But yeah, everyone else works that way. Kinda wish everyone else would learn this specific lesson from Nintendo though. Say what you will about their practices as a whole, they at least get the concept of a long shelf life right.
Xbone isn't worth buying. Plain and simple.
I haven't played the 3 "potentially good" games it has, I probably never will.
Nintendo and Sony offer better titles. Only fools will buy an XBone, at this point.
I regret buying my xbox one. Its a 350$ oversized dust collecting unit. I used to watch netflix on it but now i have netflix on my tv. Furthermore my wife bitches at me for not playing it, thx microsoft.
Eh, right now it doesn't really matter if you get a PS4 or Xbone. That'll likely change within the next year I'd wager, but as of this writing they're kinda in the same boat, with WiiU just barely floating by.
Nice response. Very intelligent!
Too bad you are obsessed with some nonexistent faggot to form an argument.
I'm sure your BF will return someday, fret not.
Anonymous opinions don't count for shit. They never have.
Don't be mean to the retarded.
Bayonetta isn't talked about here because there's nothing to shitpost about.
That's all people talk about here.
Bait shit about older classics everyone likes to get people mad.
Bait shit about new games to get fanboys mad.
Bait bait bait bait.
That's fucking it.
And hundreds of people thinking their fucking clever.
