>be inexplicably attracted to a man in a game
>disgusted with self
>turns out they're a woman in disguise
Is there a more relieving feeling in all the world?
>there are people who couldn't instantly tell
I mean I'm more familiar with the bad northern accent than most americans but holy fuck come on man.
>turns out they're a woman in disguise
That was so obvious from the beginning that I think you should continue questioning your sexuality.
>be inexplicably attracted to a woman in a game
>disgusted with self
>turns out they're a man in disguise
Is there a more relieving feeling in all the world?
I think the ONLY thing that kept me uncertain about her true gender was the Yorkshire accent, I thought it was just a lad with a lighter voice than usual. Northern English accents aren't really the most feminine of voices.
How the fuck did you not know that was a chick? It was obvious from her first line.
>All your friends die
Well Anne was still alive, but she didn't want the Ed dick.
shrug, I honestly thought he was a young kid or something at first, and I wondered how a like, 16 year old could even become a pirate and hang out with the other big dogs like us... but being a grill wasn't much of a shocker.
This choked me up a little bit.
The only regret was that I never
-got to see Calico's cut out missions
-got to see Stede lose his dignity before getting executed
I was more shocked she was actually pregnant.
I cannot believe people would actually fall for this.
It simply can't be true.
OP's a fag.
More like wishing something was there.
I didn't think she was a guy until it was revealed. When she first shows up and talks I got suspicious so I googled it and found out.
Same thing I suspected with the mission in Jerusalem.
>be inexplicably attracted to a lizard in a game
>disgusted with self
>turns out they're a lizard
There is no joke. I'm into it and I have no bleeding clue where it came from.
>this is what Mary Read would believe
Well it could be worse
That's normally enough to get me all horny.
They said I was gay for thinking Leo was cute
I knew I was straight
Eh, I always just had this headcanon that she ate cherries every now and then, or that it's blood.
If you want something irritating in detail,
Edward has whiter teeth than me, and he just bathes in rum and salt water
During AC3, I always was annoyed that he had hidden blades and he chose to choke his son instead.
Then I played Rogue and listened to his profile and I was like "HE DID NOTHING WRONG AFTER ALL!"
Thats not even best vidya lizard.
>tfw Shao Jun only got some shitty platformer spinoff.
I was hyped after she was introduced for some Ming dynasty China assassinations, but we got "hrhrhrhrhrh WHERE'S CHARLES LEE hrhrhrhr" instead.
Dan Cross was a sleeper agent and killed the mentor and several assassins in his lifetime, including his close friends. In AC1, you can hear the gunshots and Vidic saying that they were a rescue unit for Desmond that had been killed in action. He also said that the Assassins are shrinking in size around the world.
I would've settled for Mother Russia as well. AC3 was just all kinds of fail. I liked Connor as a character, but he never grew up well to be liked with the crappy story and an even crappier engine. At least he got to spend some quality time with his dad.
I honestly got a hard on for Kid the first part of the game
came buckets when I found out he was a women
Of all the money, that I've ever had. I spent it in, good company.
>tfw we'll never get another spinoff like this.
Literally a generic male NPC with a woman VA. It reflects the gender-politic of the bioware writers where they believe that just because Krem is strapping down in an effort to pass as male that she in all respects becomes like any other man. It was cowardice on their part to take the easy way out and not using their token trans character to ask even the most basic questions of the player.
and it was a wasted opportunity for a glorious reverse trap
I really should install black flag, I only got like 10 minutes into it before I realized that I didn't understand half of the assassin shit they were talking about.
Anybody know if I need to play the others to get it, or what?
>I liked Connor as a character
You mean the concept, right?
The thing that gets me: DA2, Gaider describes the qunari as 'militant Islamic Borg'. Yet they not only have a word for transgender folks, they're super-respectful of them. Just like in real life, where Islam considers gay and trans folks Satan incarnate and stone them to death whenever the opportunity arises.
Black flag is shit you pleb
>jumping into the 4th installment
>where Islam considers gay and trans folks Satan incarnate and stone them to death whenever the opportunity arises.
Gay yes but trans not necessarily. Look up transsexualism and Iran. It's basically an acceptable way to be gay over there if you undergo gender reassignment first.
Yeah, probably. It would only get confusing when it hops out of the pirate setting.
>Implying AC4 wasn't pretty good
It's not the best, but it was certainly enjoyable and the characters were actually great.
You ever thought he meant "Islamic" as in "super devoted to their belief and willing to die for them", instead of "adheres to the Quran"? Or do you just like taking people's words out of context?
Magic users get chained, leashed and their mouths stitched shut. Weak offspring are left out to die in the elements. Heretics are executed and forgotten. Transsexuals are mildly confusing at worst and are able to fully assimilate into Qunari society.
Nothing undermines the Qunari lore so blatantly as this, Bull's opinion of Krem isn't treated as an eccentricity or pragmatism, it's one of very few elements of his life that's not in conflict with the Qun. There's also no codex or conversation to answer obvious questions like "why would the qunari willingly allow someone to live as a different sex when their gender roles are inextricably tied into military and governance and personal identity so downplayed that nobody even has individual names." because that might be triggering.
"A lot more fleshed out"
Now with exploding barrels, chase cannons, a fucking mortar, and constantly aiming at 'weak points' for massive damage! Wow, I love 'intensity' when the battles drag on forever and I slowly watch a HP bar tick down..
OOH LOOK OUT, IT'S A WATERSPOUT! THERE'S FUCKING 12 OF THEM ON-SCREEN! AMAZING! 8O
It's not about muslims, anon. It's that the sand people are aggressive as fuck. Islam is nothing but an enabler for them.
Remember, the darker the skin - the more aggressive for no reason someone will be.
The first time they explained it in the game. Even the tutorial pop-ups appeared from time to time explaining that.
I mean, what kind of numbskull you are to not figuring this the first time?
I actually figured out pretty early, because I thought you could use the swivel guns outside of combat and accidentally shot all the guns.
It took me forever to work out the mortars though because the game would keep telling me the wrong key.
When I figured unlocked it and the tooltip told me so.
That's also when ship vs ship combat became extremely easy and I flattened any enemy in seconds with minimal risk from there on out.
>I mean, what kind of numbskull you are to not figuring this the first time?
Y-yeah. Anyone who can't f-figure that out is pretty s-stupid.
>Tfw stopped playing AC IV at some point
>Fucking loved it
The music and story were really engaging, and I liked the chases
I'm going to play AC IV from the start again. Don't know why I randomly stopped playing it.
My dick exploded when I saw pic related
I stopped when I got bored hunting guards. At least Rogue let me kill and hang random civillians. It truly was wonderful with the missions too. I don't know why, but I enjoyed and loved it, and I played it expecting Black Flag with extra trinkets.
>Assumed it was a girl from the start but didn't think about it much
She was more attractive as a man
>Please don't say that. I felt like murdering that nigger whore that kept calling me that in Rogue.
Nah, it was because Connor wasn't a ladies man, nor was he someone who got inducted into the order as a normal person. He had little to no understanding in terms of being social and wanted to be more than what he was when he was a kid.
His childhood and his interactions with his dad were the best of what the third main game had to offer in story, but the rest was just so horrible that the only thing worse than it is Arno's story.
It's rare that spinoffs are better than the source material in any medium, so it's pretty amazing that it's happened twice in vidya within the span of a few years and the same company.
Blood Dragon and Black Flag will forever remain superior to their sources.
>ubisoft will never be redeemed in their main releases again
I'll be damned if they'd reboot Watch Dogs to be Assassin's Creed present. They already had you doing one mission for the Assassins.
she was very obviously a woman from her first scene.
No joke, I didn't realize we were supposed to think she was a guy.
So when it was "revealed" I didn't understand what the fuck it was implying.
Dead serious, I just thought "oh cool they made a semi-realistic female pirate and all the other pirates are cool with it because she isn't acting like a fucking princess.
Blood Dragon is still pretty bad game. It's pretty in a lurid way, to be sure, and there's a few laughs, but the gameplay is no better than vanilla FC3 and the map is actually just the same bullshit as Asscreed, huge fucking area full of bland copypasted content and formulaic "quests" you'll have to perform slight variations on 100000000 times if you actually have the patience to try and 100% the game, which you probably won't because there's very little content that is actually any fun.
Crossover with Black Flag, Rogue and Watch Dogs. The boss in Black Flag had these plans to meet with CtoS in Chicago, and had these references to it in the game's secret files. Watch Dogs has this secret mission where you capture the guy for the assassins and ends with a text message "Requescat in Pace" while in Rogue, confirms that these two events are canon.
>He thinks Black Flag is shit
>He will never move out his parent's basement and sail the high seas in a vessel with his best bros
>He will never discover the mysteries that are waiting to be discovered
>He will never get scurvy because the Hot Pockets his Mom buys have plenty of vitamin C
Doesn't matter what you thought about the actual gameplay when Blood Dragon was superior to FC3.
Superior script, graphics, music, missions and was short enough for the gameplay to not become too repetitive.
Ubisoft...they're serious about this
It annoyed me that in the side missions Connor had a lot more character instead of the angry Connor in main missions. The biggest problem with 3 was the cities and that they put Connor into every single major event of the war instead of him watching from the sidelines.
Also best snow in games ever.
>Born blessed with Ezio's looks
>Gets framed for murder, escapes
>Comes back to his home, Elise out of nowhere explains that you're an assassin and she's a templar
"B-But I haven't even said yes to the guy who calls me pisspot!"
>Spends the game ignoring the assassins and chasing Elise, who seems to be ambiguous in loving you and using you.
I just don't see how it is any better than its source material. Both are pretty bad and Blood Dragon does VERY little to improve on FC3's flaws, what it has going for is mostly the over-the-top "hurr 80s" vibe which misses much more than it hits. However even if it were actually hilarious to pack your game full of such crud, it's still just window dressing that really doesn't make the game much better or worse. I had very little fun with Blood Dragon and it's because despite trying REALLY hard to capture this gonzo, retro-action-humor thing, it's just not fun at all, same mechanical crawl-slow bullshit as the game it's based on.
>notice how attractive a cute male character is
>look up r34
>turns out it's just another fucking reverse trap
fuck you japan
yeah pretty much- Angry Connor, the blatant, repeated shoehorning & the lack of good architecture really killed it.
But the environments outside the cities were ok & the ship combat was excellent.
God damn, why couldn't post game AC3 have had seasons? The snow was so comfy.
>instead of him watching from the sidelines.
But this is exactly what happened in Unity. The revolution went on and you merely spectated it but went about your own shit.
And in all honesty, I wanted more involvement of the assassins in the revolution.
IMO the story was absolutely fine until about 50% where you kill Bellec and are expelled from the order. Then it just started making zero sense. It's as if it was written by a different person from 50% onwards.
Fun fact: In ACIII, IV and Rogue, you can do a post-assassination pose where he just stays like this after a run-assassination.
I thought she was a woman at first, but then because no one was reacting to it and calling her a guy I considered her male, since it would be so fucking obvious it was a woman in the first place.
>AC threads are so comfy, there's a chance you'd be able to persuade other anons to replay AC3
Arno definitely had the Connor issue. Starts off interesting, ends up going full potato.
The assassin recruit options are just way too fun.
If you didn't use it, recruits can disguise themselves in ACIII. They never brought this back in the pirate game despite being completely viable as a tactic.
