How is my team? Is there someone I need to kick? Someone I should add ? I recently got a Lucario lvl 32 , should I use him?
Farfetch'd is shit
I bet that Greninja isn't even protean.
Unevolved Dragons are shit
Raichu is shit, why would you evolve it when Pikachu outclasses it?
Venusaur is decent but you need to comp around him
But I also wanna beat PvP
Ok no farfetch'd and no Lucario
Whats wrong with 3 starters ?
Any type besides flying that is good that I miss ? And the Tyrant will evolve in lvl ~38
Neato burrito team. Those are all good Pokemon, except Farfetch'd is purposely really weak. Trade him out for a different flyer if you want to. You're going to plow your way through the game with the rest of those guys anyway.
Tyrunt is my favorite newcomer.
Been wondering about this for a long time.
What exactly is the problem with using more than one starter Pokemon? It's not like they're the strongest Pokemon in the game overall, and they are usually well-designed because GameFreak spends the most time on their development compared to other Pokemon. What would the difference be if they were just Pokemon you could find in the wild?
And Farfetch'd I get, but what's wrong with using Raichu?
>Ok no farfetch'd and no Lucario
Why would you not use Lucario? It's one of the best Pokemon in the game, even competitively.
>Whats wrong with 3 starters ?
Nothing at all. Don't listen to these retards.
>Its just boring in my opinion. When I play the games i never even use the starter.
What about it is boring? There's usually at least one really cool one. It's one thing if you just don't like the selection, but I don't see how it's boring.
>timid pikachu with light ball
>306 speed, 398 special attack
>modest raichu with life orb
>319 speed, 397 special attack
pikachu's defenses are so absolute shit I've had battles where a STAB Surf from my 0 SpA Tentacruel or Ice Beam from Regice, or Shadow Ball from Spiritomb OHKO them. These are walls with zero damage one shotting your sweeper. It has 211 HP at 100.
Raichu is faster and at least can survive one attack. I don't like either of them but only pokemon yellowfags think Pikachu is better than Raichu.
r8 and h8
Moxie w/ Foul Play, Earthquake, Dig, and Sand Tomb
Synchronize w/ Assurance, Quick Attack, Guard Swap, and Moonlight
Unnerve w/ Signal Beam, Electroweb, Bug Buzz, and Discharge
Sheer Force w/ Ice Punch, Crunch, Waterfall, and Surf
Flame Body w/ Shadow Ball, Will-O-Wisp, Flame Burst, and Hex
Tangled Feet w/ Twister, Sand Attack, Gust, and Quick Attack
Because starters are designed as reliable fallbacks for when you're in a pinch. Except the Gen V starters who are kind of shit and easily replaced. Starters aren't the strongest, but they're all very strong with BSTs around the 530 mark.
Since XY is easy as piss, people who use three starters with good typing, move pools, and two of which have Megas, others are gonna be ISHYGDDT and shit.
I imagine it has something to do with everybody b3ing expected to keep a starter through their game. It makes the game seem less personal. Maybe they want a unique, special snowflake team. I like some starters, though. I try to avoid using them because their type coverage tends to make my teams feel more restricted.
My ORAS team:
Linoone was just an HM slave really and Gen 3 had so many fucking HMs, this was the first time I ever needed someone dedicated to it.
Depends on the starter I guess. Most are good, but stuff like Blaziken is brokenly good. Plus Talonflame is a great new pokemon from the start to finish, so dumping it for a fire starter you've probably already used before for an entire game is pretty boring. I wonder if eventually we'll reach a generation where they give you 6 starters throughout the game, and 70% of kid's teams will just be that.
>/vp/ should just be deleted.
No. You literally could not talk about anything on /v/ for two months after Heart Gold and Soul Silver's release because every thread was Pokemon, and any other thread was getting kicked off the board because of Pokemon.
>all these scrubs hating on based master of the leek
Keep quacklin' on your team and back him up with superior fight-bird hawlucha instead of blaziken.
If you want to do PvP then you either need to get a team of six hacked Legendaries or throw your game in the trash and go to Smogon/Pokémon Showdown.
Anyway you might have some trouble with Flying or Psychic types. Make sure your Raichu is fast.
