The cardinal sin of vidya: style of substance. Gameplay is damn near the bottom of the hierarchy of importance.
Enemy scaling. By half way through the game you can clear through bad guys pretty quickly if you're smart. New game plus is a total joke and you can tear most enemies to shreds with no issue unless you're a complete fool.

I haven't played this game since around when it came out and I don't really remember anything about this chapter, but I always see these posts. What made this chapter so bad? I remember liking the art.
Played windwaker for the first time a few months ago on an emulator, I heard a lot about the triforce quest before playing it, but it didn't actually bother me much when I got to it other than the ghost ship.

This town in Fallout 1. It's just north of the Cathedral. Remember it? No? That's because it has no identity or atmosphere of its own, so they made up for it by throwing a whole bunch of big numbers at you.
The best energy weapon in the game. The best armour in the game. A map full of a gorillion deathclaws. The map just beyond it housing a group of weapon traders with more advanced tech than anyone outside of the mutants and the Brotherhood (who the hell are they trading to? No one else carries their merchandise). Forgettable characters, one-dimensional dialogue, and predictable quests.
This town was tacked on and they knew it. The only thing of worth in it - and the only thing that even related to the rest of the world - was the Followers of the Apocalypse...located in a sidemap that I *completely missed* in my first game. Fuck this place.

Little replay value aside from discovering side conversations by going to places other than where you're needed. The first playthrough is fucking magical though, and after enough time has passed I still replay it desperately trying to feel those feels again.

The bosses were too easy. The one in Maridia was difficult until you figured out the trick, but once you do the fight is over in about a minute.
The combat overall is not a challenge. But arguably the game is not about fighting enemies, but exploring. I'm not sure the game would actually be improved by making it more difficult.

Shitty strength weapons. The large club, great club, dragon king greataxe, dragon tooth, etc. all feel the same and have similar movesets. There is also quite a large gap in how much strength you need to 2 hand certain weapons. Early game strength weapons only require like 12 strength, but if you wanna use something like the dragon tooth you're going to need at least 27. Dex weapons have much better progression.
Lategame turns take too long (even longer in multiplayer) and that makes it kind of boring. Besides, you get too powerful by then and it's not that fun to destroy everyone because you can. It's way more fun to need a tactical approach because your fucking army sucks.
the "huge shiny digits" are very much an intentional feature of the game and not pointless, the point is to emphasize the feeling that you are enjoying a video game, while "you" are also brutally fucking murdering people

You have autism. The score means nothing and is irrelevant, it's there in case for some reason you want to do challenging things instead of just completing the game as usual. If you can't ignore the score, it's your issue.

the bosses aren't too easy, they are a nice challenge. I and a friend have just played super metroid for the first time recently and i would say the bosses or on par with dark souls. most of them took under 5 tries, but a few demanded upto 10 tries, like that birdstatue which took like 35 misslehits, and it dodges or reflects shots if you dont shot it from the back while its shoting shit or the front at some short spesific times

....Okay on a serious note, I think a few of the later missions in the northern reaches where you are fighting the denizens of the Netherworld end up being a little pointless. If it had impact on how the final stages played out, it would make sense. Also, I wish Destin played a larger role in the plot as opposed to just showing up to be awesome. Oh and a limit of 2 black knights a game so I can't redo my army out of the Paladin/Archmage mold is kinda shitty.
The scoring system is really nicely presented, definitely. I still don't enjoy it, but it's honestly a small detail to me.

Honestly, for some reason, I'm okay with peragus. Its annoying, but not too bad. But Telos just takes fucking forever, and it just feels like you're accomplishing nothing up until you get to the polar enclave. Every time I see that bitch stealing the ebon hawk I just think "Christ, could you please just not do that for this playthrough?" Worst planet ever.

Worst part (for me) is the train mission. It's just not fun. I like pretty much everything else about the game, even the draw system.
A close second would be the prison (because going up and down constantly) and pretty much all of disk 4 (because no towns). But, I can at least fight shit in the prison and disk 4 has dem cutscenes.
I pulled it out of Wikipedia, actually. I'm pretty sure such a disorder affects a person in many aspects of his life. That's not the case with me. In fact, that hasn't been the case with any other game that I can immediately think of.
If we go by "a mental or behavioral pattern or anomaly that causes either suffering or an impaired ability to function in ordinary life" (again, Wikipedia; I'm sure that specialized medical outlets would be even more pedantic about what "disorder" means), it doesn't seem that chasing high scores in one specific video game and nowhere else qualifies as OCD.

Maybe is wasn't so much the dungeons being shitty as they were tedious. Things like having to make clones 80 times in the stone temple and shit like that really got in the way. As for bosses, none of them really varied outside of "just hit it until it dies." I was floored when I saw that you didn't have to use any items for Odalwa.

Yea, he wasn't particularly well designed. Though I know a lot of people are into the whole non-puzzle boss thing.
But Snowhead, Great Bay, and Stone Temple all felt so tightly put together that a lot of that menu jumping/swimming/whatever was more than made up for. These specifically I can't imagine being placed towards the bottom of a Zelda dungeon list, even with the "tedium."
