Just bought a used Wii for 20 bucks with HBC already in. Is there any title worth a play or is it all shovelware and games for kids? Should I ask on the retro board?
Pikmin 1 & 2 as most people like the wii controls more.
Yugioh Falsebound Kingdom
Super Mario Sunshine
Pretty much just google the wii-essentials and go from there.
And then check the /v/ wiki but proceed with caution.

Non Ninfriendo here, here's the games I played last summer:
Little King Story
Skyward Sword (I really enjoyed it despite it's flaws)
Zak + Wiki (looks great, I love point n clicks. I guess I hated the visuals)
Animal Crossing (a disappointment tbh)
No More Heroes 1+2 (I wanted to love these)
Endless Ocean 1+2: (both fine, but they are games largely about visuals and both look like a ps2 game)
There's probably more I'm forgetting but those are the ones that stick in memory. You've got hundreds of hours just in Xenoblade and MonHun

If you want decent mature games, try out MadWorld, No More Heroes 1/2, House of the Dead: Overkill/2&3 Return, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and the billions of Resident Evil ports on it.
