>5 hours left in Muv Luv Kickstarter
Grabbed the Vita version. It's probably going to be one of the rarest physical games on the system.
Fair enough, seeing as the odds of a full physical release are slim to none.
Anyone else /$300/ here? I'm really glad I picked a high tier for once, especially now with the hardcover Codex being a thing.
I mean I probably won't open it until I play through the trilogy but a nice big hardcover art book is still a great thing to own
That's the SJW mindset in general.
Also anyone thinking all the people who backed Muv-Luv would be the same who would back Indivisible are fucking braindead.
I fucking love how successful this is. You pander to weeaboos, your shit gets funded and you'll have a million to spare.
You pander to NeoFaggers and Tumblr, you end up begging every corner of the Internet for money since Tumblrinas hates videogames.
I'll have physical Vita and digital PC. Options are nice.
>"WHY AREN'T ALL YOU PATHETIC LONELY SHEEPLE NEETS FUNDING THE GAME /I/ WANT FUNDED FUCK YOU"
Has one man ever exumed so much salt against something they set up as a scapegoat?
It's good but it's something that's better if you've at least played many VNs
Extra is just a stock standard generic as fuck VN that would be hard to get through if you're not a fan of stock standard generic VNs but it sets up the later games perfectly
Hmmm okay. Maybe I'll do that then. I'm currently backing at the 25 dollar tier, but if I can upgrade later, that could work. Gotta have that physical edition. Thanks for the info.
I have the cash I need in my wallet, but I can't get to the bank until later today.
I am tempted to let it overdraft my account. I'm just wondering how long the transaction will pend, I don't feel like getting screwed out of $50 by my fucking bank
What I'm wondering is if I could have my Vita save linked to my PC save, I'm not a huge fan of losing save data in VNs
I literally dropped Chaos;Head for 3-4 years because of that fucking save bug that breaks the game and makes you need to start over
>And the localization of 2 games that aren't already translated
>And the localization of a physical art book that initially was Japan exclusive
>And the localization of a Vita port
>And the release of an Android port
>And the localization of 2 games that aren't already translated
Yeah, I'm sure they're going to get around to that real soon. How have you been enjoying all the games sekai project has actually translated so far?
idk what you're talking about all i'm getting from this post is a bunch of incoherent buzzwords
but i have to wonder about what sort of person would rather play a latex vore game than one with a wholesome brown qt
That faggot who was pissed about Indivisible not being funded nearly sold me on this alone
The difference is that Degica already has projected windows for each title, Extra/Unlimited is schedules for March release
Photonflowers and Photonmelodies are probably going to be done late 2016, early 2017 seeing as Alternative is planned for summer release (Specifically August)
Vita, Android, or PC. There's an All-Digital bundle for $125 that lets you pick Android or Vita and comes with the PC version, a soundtrack, the two side story games, and two digital art books.
For $150 you can get a Collector's Edition physical Vita version of the trilogy, $220 comes with a hardcover 500 page codex
>not having a disposable income
>telling others how to spend their money
Mom please leave.
The KS is pretty much for huge fans of the series who want really expensive merchandise, check out how pricey the backer rewards are. If you really want to get into the series, just pirate it, since it's already all translated.
This. Remember when MangaGamer had a whinge about how fan translations are literally killing the industry? None of these kickstarters would ever have been anywhere near as successful as they've turned out if not for the fan translations already existing.
>Needing money to release a game that is already translated
>B-But multiplatform support and a-actual English actors for the American soldiers in ONE scene!
If they promised translating the other Muv Luv games I would have donated.
>If they promised translating the other Muv Luv games I would have donated.
So once you actually read the Kickstarter page and see that they're doing so, you're going to donate, right?
The only thing they are good for is translating and uncensoring porn games
>mfw Euphoria soon
MG's nukige are all fucking trash though.
Get back to me when they bring over Henshin, or Rondo Duo, or ふたなりエルフ快楽調教, instead of Anal Titty Volcano #4443 by Startup Nobodies #25345.
i like mangagamer, i don't like how they've opted to re-translate all of the original 8 higurashi chapters before doing any of the new material they have the rights to though.
No, the other guy was right. Extra was fucking excruciating, the humour sucked, the characters were annoying, and FUCKING LACROSSE WHEN WILL IT END
Unlimited was much better if not particularly interesting but then Alternative was fucking amazing and made it all worth it.
physical shit is why most people are backing this
Nigger, it's not like I buy them. I was just fucking happy they translated Space Pirate Sara when they did.
>The sex could be cut out entirely.
It really can't be without hurting the story.
>The gore isn't much worse than what MKX got away with.
The gore is already confirmed censored since they're basing it on the Japanese PS3 release which has the violent CGs censored.
>Post yfw this game being funded will generate an anal devastation when indivisible flops.
>That this trash gets funded but something as brilliant and forthcoming as Indisivible isnt just goes to show why the gaming industry is dropping hard. No wonder why Sony is turning to revive the VR gimmick.
damn its like some people take video games too personal
>Backed $150 cause I know it will piss off tumbler retards too.
It's okay to back just because you like Muv-luv.
>mfw a 4chan thread suckered me into buy $150 of visual novels that have been free and translated for ages.
>the OST is on a fucking DVD. I can't even put it into my shitty car to listen to on long drives.
Some people also seem to think it's about sending a message to SJW's that weeaboos buy lots of games, so the games industry should pander to us more.
It also seems to be a monetary vote to translate more weeb games and keep dual audio at all costs.
>only 7000 backers
it will flop won't it
does it matter tho?
The games were already made and sold in japan. And people are paying for the translation so even if it doesn't sell well, devs won't lose money.
This is more like a gift for us then an attempt to mainstream sucess.
Fuck I am too broke but the pressure.
I liked it before it was popular, now I have to prove it.
the only vn I have physical is nekopapra senpai.
and it will remain that way
You could put down $1 for now so you at least can access Backerkit and add stuff later.
Fuck it I want physical. Just have to hide it from the
TACHIAGARE KEDAKAKU MAE
Be warned, if you are thinking about going for a physical Vita version, I would do it know. According to some posts in their forum, the devs on facebook expressed doubt at any extra Vita copies once the project is funded.
I did it. Collector's box. Worst and best decision I've made in a while.
>try to register for kickstarter
>this email is already resgistered
>manage to sign
>all these projects I backed and dont even remember anymore
First part's self-conscious wacky harem with some dumb drama and some fun hijinks. Second part is massive genre shift to military training camp. Third part is somewhat like a mecha version of Edge of Tomorrow with more cute girls and some Starship Troopers thrown in for good measure. Does that sound up your alley?
It might take a little time getting good but when it starts going it's a wild ride.
Kind of hard to tell. Try Steins;Gate first to see if you like it.
Shit, I can't decide between the 80 dollar goal or the 150.
150 dollars is a lot of money to be dropping on an impulse buy. But what if I get the 80 dollar pledge, end up loving the game to death and then wishing I had pledged 150?
On the other hand, what if I hate it and wish I hadn't spent so much?
At times when my heart shakes and stirs
Towns, people, and words
Turn a different shade
Just not being able to meet you is painful
In the midst of doubt
I was always calling to you
Are you noticing? The tears at night
Sighs and loneliness
Hey, take me out right now!
If the future reflected in your eyes
Is one where our meeting has meaning
Then I want to see
The same dream as you now. I’ll give you the key
Open the door to your heart!
To lose someone is frightening, so
I kept hiding my feelings
Worrying all alone
Restless dreams lingered,
Always stirring my heart
A nostalgic pain
I’ll become stronger! I want to be closer
To that precious person
Yeah, I’ll be reborn!
In this world created by our emotions,
Now, I want to embrace
The courage to face my true feelings
Become kinder, be able to sense it
Now unfold your wings!
A world opened up by your courage
Hope discovered by our feelings
Now, I’ll come to believe
I won’t give up, I’ll steady my heart
I wanted to get the vita version so I can play comfy in the privacy of my room but from what I'm reading in this thread I assume it's censored as fuck? The gore and even important sex scenes? Should I just skip out on this then?
Was on the fence about this whole thing, since I can always just torrent the games, but this sold me. Paid $85 for the physical Vita shit just so this game gets even more successful than Indivisible.
Dunno, even the stupid haremshit was pretty fun for me, and it only went uphill from there. It's a damn shame you can't sell it without spoiling the genre shift tweest cause all people talk about are the mecha fights, so everyone goes in looking for mecha fights and then gets pissed when they're way later.
Mustve been crazy playing what you thought was a generic slice of life and then suddenly fucking giant robots & ayylmaos.
>My hatred stems from a half assed localization getting funded while much better games do not. Because people want their smut.
>Gamers are falling into their stereotypes for sure around here. And it's not a good stereotype at all.
He is going to die from high blood pressure from all this salt
Pretty accurate if an eyesore. Rereading Extra is a mindfuck and a half, there's so much foreshadowing it's insane but you'd never guess it without having already read the series.
Is the physical codex worth the extra $80? I just pledged $150 for the vita edition with the figma.
I don't want to overpay if the Codex is shit.
We'll get the anime too right
Also should I watch rumbling hearts for them
I urge any new readers to be patient. Extra kind of sucks ass, but you can't skip it, and even Unlimited will drag on at times. The time investment is large but Alternative is worth it for sure.
Nah, they'll show up in Alt but they'll be completely different from their Kiminozo counterparts.
Apparently it's a pretty good melodrama but even a pretty good melodrama is still a melodrama. Unless you're into that sort of thing.
I knew nothing of the twist and download it on a lark years ago. I new nothing of it and it was one of the first VNs under my belt. I actually thought it was a Highschool eroge with mecha humor at first. Slow pacing and lack of early or mid route hscenes as lmist turned me away. I loved it in the end. It's made recommending it to my friends Impossible without spoiling it some how.
>best girl gets a pillowcase while worst girl gets nothing
extra is great though, especially for rereads
unlimited has great infodumps, dunno why people dislike that stuff, must be adhd or something
alt is good but its massively overrated by the faggots going all "omg alt is so effin epic! muh feels!"
>"Here are the physical Muv-Luv Alternative CODEX features:
Width: 21 cm
Height: 29.7 cm
Hard cover artbook with 400-500 glossy full color pages!
Contains contents from Integral Works and Lunatic Dawn Anthology 1-3."
>don't know a thing about the series besides there's an alien later on
>want that physical Vita version just because
Is the writing good, at least? I don't want to drop 80 bones on something I might not like.
Why do people seem to ignore that backers are essentially buying merchandise and act like all the money is being collected for giggles because "they don't need it since it's already translated"?
I enjoyed it because it actually was pretty dark and realistic, and had interesting and truly flawed characters. Post graduate depression, realizing you've failed to achieve your dreams/goals. Alcoholism.
>THAT FUCKING MINIGAME
I WISH PAIN UPON THE DESIGNERS
The writing is pretty bad like the main character conveniently remembering fucking a character in the previous timeline right at the moment where his thoughts can fuck up the the mind of his artificial human girlfriend that controls the super weapon at the time that is saving humanity but loses conciousness because she sees her boyfriend fucking someone in his mind.
I know that sentence is supposed to make sense, but I still find it baffling for some reason.
Extra 5/10 for regular routes, 6/10 for
Chizuru and Ayamineroutes. Boring with some funny/heartwarming moments, music was godly
Unlimited general 4.5/10, didn't enjoy until Alternative desu
Alternative 8.7/10, not a 10/10 because I found the Coup d'etat arc pretty boring, also it was just too long.
I enjoyed Unlimited the most next to Alternative where Takerus was showing off his knowledge and traning of the previous timeline. Sadly both of this were the shortest part although maybe that's what made them good.
The rest of Alternative is extremely long. It has about the same content like any other VN route that is around 15 hours but is acutally 60+ hours long. It has around the worst pacing I ever have witnessed in a VN and I couldn't play VNs a long time after it because it burned me out.
Three minutes have passed and there's only 15 left.
>I found the Coup d'etat arc pretty boring,
nah I got mine thankfully now besides
US military should get the US military mech
What the actual fuck? This thing is over a decade old AND already had an acceptable translation. I remember people bitching for a KimiNozu translation, why the fuck not start a fucking kikestarter for that?
>already had an acceptable translation
More likely to drum up funds given the established fan base, whereas KimiNozu is probably relatively unknown since it only has an old anime and unlikely to attract 1 gorillion dollars.
I can't wait for a whole new generation of gamers to experience Muvluv. I'm not a big fan of VN's in general, but this one is pretty good!
>wanting a phoned in dub of a fucking VN
>when all a VN has is writing and voice work
>this much ass pain that weebs put money where their mouth is
It never gets old.
Sometime after today, probably within a couple weeks. Backerkit is a way for backers to update their shipping address and also give choices on stuff like what sizes for clothes, which heroines for the pillowcases, etc. At this stage they haven't finalised everything so you can still add on additional add ons or upgrade your pledge.
Ah I gave $150 for the Vita Edition within the last ten minutes actually it's more close to being $200 (being Canadian is suffering). I hope it's good, if not well, it's not like I would've used that money on something productive anyways.
>I want to win the Japan trip but it's gonna be real awkward if I do because I don't even like Muv Luv.
Same, or at least, not yet. All I know is it's a bit like Starship Troopers.
>Y-yes Kokimune san I am a big fan
>MuvLuv raises 1.2 million no problem
>Indefenisible will need an extension and still may not even get there
>Lab Zero will go out of business
>tfw there's 2000 more backers on indivisible and they're barely over 500k.
>Forcing me to dish out 80 more dollars for physical Codex
FUCK YOU YOU JEWISH PIECE OF SHITS.
I'd be angered and pissed if I didn't already know that 80 dollary doos are completely worth for all the content in Integral Works alone.
I don't get it. Are there actually people bitching about the fact that Muv Luv had this much funding? Putting aside that retard from gamefaqs up above, I find it hard to believe people are complaining about it.
They're going to release it on Steam, so that will be the All-ages version but they already confirmed before the kickstarter even begun that adult scenes would come back via an optional patch.
Fuck, is it actually over? I thought I still had a few more days. Am I just shit out of luck in getting anything now? Surely they would still release the game with some of the perks, right?
Call the bank, maybe something else charged and you forgot about it.
Personally I put my backing money into my savings until today where I put it into checking to be withdrawn just so I made sure to have it
