Daily reminder that the flower did nothing wrong.
Y'all niggas wrong
Four is the best Intoner desu baka senpai
There are novellas that provide a little backstory for the characters.
>Decently large tittays
>Soft body that's barely toned
Really, shes built to spend her life on her back pumping out babies and nurturing them.
Too bad she's fucking insane. What a waste.
One's original plan was to overthrow the 5 shitty tyrants of the land and replace them with her sisters and herself. She succeeded and made the world a much better place, with the exception of the area that Three governs.
Then One learned that if her and her sisters were allowed to live they would go insane and destroy the world, so she sat on her throne in the Cathedral City and waited for Zero to kill off her sisters so she didn't have to.
Pretty much. No matter what she did she couldn't help the world no matter how much she wanted to. And her plan with Brother One ended up backfiring and causing the apocalypse a few generations later.
Her end plan was to have brother One kill Zero and then himself, since at that time she didn't realize that Zero was killing them off so that she could destroy the flower for good. One ending that branched off into a slightly different telling of Drakengard has male One killing Zero but choosing to live, creating a cult before realizing that the Cult will eventually destroy the world. So he goes back and begins to murder his own descendants before himself being betrayed by his companion who wants to sow chaos throughout the land.
The world was at war before the Intoners because of Tyrants. Utahime Five goes over how the Intoners murder all the tyrants. So the fate of the world would be up in the air; the important thing is that the influence of the flower would be gone.
To which Caim made worse.
the seals and goddess stuff seemed to be working until mass possession occured.
It is an effect born of the Flower and shares some similarities with White Chlorination Syndrome (turning people into mindless beasts). It came from Brother One and could only be stopped by his death; unfortunately his companion is a nihilist who chose to betray One and behead him with a normal sword. One kept his life but was completely immobile, living only to perpetuate the Red Eye Disease.
Manah and Seere are descendants of Brother One. Manah's mental state and her intoner bloodline is implied to be why she was susceptible to possession by the Watchers.
You talking about the Legion?
Basically humans forced into making a contract due to exposure to magical particles not from our universe or some shit.
Either accept and join legion or decline and become salt.
A tool of the Gods sent to destroy humanity for their hubris. It bloomed and attached to Zero because of how much she killed and hated humanity at the time. It would have worked through her, sowing chaos before finally blooming and turning her into something akin to the Queen Grotesque from the first Drakengard. Similarly, it granted the Intoners the ability to summon Angels, which are in fact Watchers (the giant babies from Drakengard 1).
Nahh, Red Eye Disease was something different. It was brought up in the timeline where Brother One lives. It is very similar to Legion, but it just drives people mad.
WCS gives you a choice, albeit a shitty one. Red Eye Disease was born of One, who was a small piece of the Flower's influence that remained. WCS was born from the Queen Grotesque itself, which is like a fully formed Intoner (what the sisters become in Ending D). So it's effects were far more palpable.
Red Eye disease turns you into a blood thirsty monster. WCS gives you the choice of becoming a monster and obeying the murderous will of the Queen/Watchers or turning to salt.
Legna claims that Dragons created humans, though it's kind of debatable. The Gods didn't originally hate humans, but as humans developed egos they were seen as arrogant - a mistake that needed to be wiped away. The dragons and watchers were intended to be used to wipe the slate clean by destroying humanity, but the dragons rebelled against the gods themselves. Which is why the Flower and Dragons are natural enemies.
In the manga, it is hinted at having lived for a long time; but the manga is a slightly alternate version of the events of Drakengard 1, not exactly canon to the games. We can presume that Drakengard 1 follows a timeline where Brother One was actually killed (and not left as a living head) and thus Red Eye eventually died out.
>Elves are trying to leavein airships with their families and shit
Elf please, Those were pirates who murdered people and opposed One and got their shit pushed in for it, then ran away like cowards.
Four was just finishing the job.
From the Drakengard wiki entry of Dragons
>The Dragons were originally created to be the servants and "Messengers" of the gods alongside the Watchers... They are, according to Legna, the ones who created humans, though from what and whether this is actually the truth given the Dragons' own origins is left ambiguous.
From the Gods entry in the Drakengard wiki
>The Gods are the unseen primary antagonists of the Drakengard series and a powerful force in the world, being the creators of the Watchers, Dragons and all the races of Midgard, with the exception of humans.
I wonder why they want to cleanse the humans out with a disease that cannot be cured or be avoided.
Are you referring to the events that lead to NieR or the events that predate Drakengard 3? Nobody really knows. One can assume it was the work of the Gods considering the Flower, Dragons and Watchers followed.
>Elves are trying to leavein airships with their families and shit
No they weren't, they were filthy pirates and they deserved what they got.
I rather a One. It'd probably be fun since she has an extremely sensitive sense of touch
Oh, that's probably the Cathedral City.
So, is the Red Eye Disease more of a different take on what we saw with the Imperial soldiers and such in 1?
Seems like RED turns people into maniacs, while the stuff in 1 just looks like a type of Watcher mind control.
or arioch one if i had an uterus
Don't Angelus and Caim only become close in like one ending? And in another they fight to the death?
I did like all the angles of the dragon relationships in each game, though. Angelus was a hesitant ally who was not used to humans but eventually comes to love Caim. Legna was a begrudging father figure who just wanted to exploit you. Mikhail was once Zero's only ally and confidant turned into a child she raised the only way she knew how (from her own experiences), which was brutally.
Zero's breakdown when Mikhail is killed by One gets me every time.
They do still seem to care at least a little bit for each other in the other endings. In C, Red really didn't want to fight Caim, but she also didn't have much of a choice. The need of her fellow dragons outweighed that of a human.
But where's the source to say so? There's nothing in the novella about it.
Did they fug?

Is there a proper thread of DoD/Nier on /vg/?
I've been looking for it and didn't see it.
>The shitposting would be immense.
>The shitposting would be immense.
Excuse me? You are posting on /v/ and saying that shitposting would be bigger on /vg/?
But that's not even true.
/v/ is the biggest shithole on 4chan after /b/ and /vg/ is somewhat decent place to discuss games in generals.
As much as I'd like a general, it'd quickly devolve into waifu wars and tripfags naming themselves after intoners and shitposting into oblivion while avatar fagging. You know it to be true.
Why is the world in Nier / DoD always so abstract?
Western RPGs always have some details about the world and how people live there.
DoD 3, for instance, is like "some people live somewhere, meanwhile magic girls are running around killing some soldiers and monsters and getting insane". Where the fuck are normal people? All locations are empty, we never see anyone.
>As much as I'd like a general, it'd quickly devolve into waifu wars and tripfags naming themselves after intoners and shitposting into oblivion while avatar fagging. You know it to be true.
Waifu wars are completely normal, it happens every time with every game, anime or whatever if it has waifus. Are you telling me people there are not trying to figure out who's the best waifu?
Well of course it's Three so everyone can fuck off about it.
I've never seen any tripfags naming themselves after waifus in threads like Witcher.
I've seen such guys on /a/ in Madoka threads but it was a pointless circlejerk and nothing else.
Actually it is, because his writing has always been focused on the here and now of how it relates to his characters. Any other details of the world are told through the weapon stories.
>nothing wrong he says
Anyone else wish that a flower growing out of the eye could be a real fungus?
There is already a fungus that is able to take over animal's brains and control them, so why not go full baka and sprout a flower too
>/vg/ is somewhat decent place to discuss games in generals.
Confirmed for having never been in 2/3 of the generals on /vg/. The place is a tripfag cesspit of cancer that is just as much of a hugbox as tumblr.
>Confirmed for having never been in 2/3 of the generals on /vg/. The place is a tripfag cesspit of cancer that is just as much of a hugbox as tumblr.
Why would any sane person be in 2/3 of /vg/ threads?
I'm not a mod or janny to do that kind of stuff.
Anyway there's nothing wrong with tipfags since it's a part of 4chan culture.
