Well, the game might be shit, but the soundtrack seems to be pretty fucking great
Only started with Underground which was a total shift in the series' direction. Before that it was electronica and prog rock with the earliest games having actual original soundtracks, not just names picked from the recent Top 40.
Cockpit view the best
Iron sights are a cancer though
>PC release next year
What is the fucking point?
It's Dirt 3, I took the screenshot myself; I have 3 monitors.
I'm genuinely considering buying a VR headset and a racing seat after christmas/new year. Hoping to be moving into a new house by then and with a bit of luck I should have a big enough spare bedroom to have as my mancave. I'm not even that hardcore into racing games but I could mount a flight stick to it too and it could double up as a cockpit for space/flight sims.
Of course. I'll get 2 so we can LAN it up.
I just want to drive around in Test Drive Unlimited 2 in VR, the game itself is shit but I find it to be really comfy.
Only judging from streams and whatnot but;
You can really tell during the dev process they found a way to make mildly wet streets look pretty good so that's why 90% of all gameplay I see it on fucking wet streets.
Can we get some diversity please
Need for Speed series is the ultimate dumbed down version of a racing game. There is almost zero simulation aspect, you can't adjust any aspect of performance, handling, etc.
It's just too simple to play. I never understood the appeal.
The soundtrack doesn't seem too great either.
I want an open world VR driving MMO. Just imagine how cool that shit would be. Like real life racing, but you can't die, can't kill people and can drive cars you can't afford, FREE FUEL. Driving around town like a normal dude, going for night time drives, or living the Dagumi life.
I need this.
Well there was a NFS MMO.
They killed it a few months ago.
Fucking pieces of shit.
It was mostly the world maps from Most Wanted and Carbon meshed together with simple TrackMania esque controls (gas, brake, and steering) and a shitload of people that can't drive for crap.
If nothing else it was neat to see familiar areas from MW2005 with a fresh coat of paint.
Come over, you'll have to wait your turn since I can't afford 2 setups. We'll order pizza and I'll boot up the Megadrive.
I miss just hanging out and playing vidyagaems, all my friends are boring now and do nothing
well senpai if you live in CA i'd be down to have more game nights. me and a couple of buds already get together on weekends and play tabletops/vidya all day. if you're not severely autistic you could join
>genuinely good songs tier
Battle Tapes – Valkyrie
Krakota – Ice Hands
Lynx – Clap Track
Phace – Imbalanced
Royalston – Blight Mamba
Dimension – Move Faster
HEALTH – NEW COKE
Lynx – Into The Light
The Chemical Brothers – Go
The Prodigy – Nasty (Spor Remix)
>guilty pleasure tier
Tropkillaz – Make The Crowd (NFS VIP Remix)
RiFF RAFF – Kokayne (Video Games Clean Version)
Rogue – Rattlesnake
Alison Wonderland – U Don’t Know
Like it or not, it's nostalgia talking.
You'd clasify this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efcNLxDIFu4 as edgy shit for example
, although it's pretty fun.
Dropped already if custom soundtrack isn't an option.
Sound track great?
IT HAS NO EUROBEAT, how can it be great.
For fuck sake, literally the only time when I wanted a need for speed game on pc, it gets delayed till 2016.
Pc keketry at its finest. I just wanted to drift with eurobeat.
its only an option on xbox 1 atm senpai, we'll have to have for pc version.
I am legit bummed out, I really wanted this game on ps4.
It's not a bad game, we're just too old for it.
This is the same shit that NFSU/U2 was, just replace spinners and lambo doors with stance and Rocket Bunny kits. It's literally this generations Underground
>b-b-but that stuff was actually fun!
No it wasn't, that's just the nostalgia from when you played it over a decade ago. And the driving style is jsut the same, super arcadey, just with drifting being a bigger part. And the story is just as fucking bad, I mean look at how fucking cheesy this shit is:
I'm not saying this is a great game, but it's better than most people give it credit for because we're outside the target audience.
V3 is that real nigga shit
Someone on here will win the lottery eventually and the /v/ mansion will become a reality
I buy tickets from time to time, if I win I'm buying a warehouse and filling it with arcade machines and booze and you're all welcome.
is there any counter steering involved?
Can an fwd drift?
It shouldn't be able to
Precisely why I had so much fun with midnight club LA, shit car selection, but custom sound track pretty much made up for it.
Are you fucking joking? Have you seriously listened to eurobeat while driving fast? Do you even have a car? Because it gets pretty fucking annoying after a while. It's not bad, but it's at the point where it's fucking meme music because "MUH DAGUMIIIIII"
No NFS had a custom soundtrack option, at least as far as I know. Maybe on consoles.
Yeah, they're playing safely for the most part, except for Phace and Royalston.
All NFS up to Shift always had a pretty diversified soundtrack with lots of lesser know musicians. Like Neurofunk in NFSMW, electrohouse in Prostreet, grime in Carbon
(HYPE BOYS HYPE BOYS)
>anything I liked when I was 11 was probably edgy as hell anyway.
That aplies to most of us, really, being 11 was truly a ''painful'' time.
Yes I own a car.
I'm saving up for an s2000, and yes I do listen to eurobeat every chance I get while driving.
I think there is something legitly wrong with you senpai.
You need to drive and listen to eurobeat.
>mfw my dad built 2 racing seats complete with wooden cockpit, side holder for stick shift and cup holders
>mfw they're gathering dusts because nobody plays racing games
If I could send one to you, I would.
>implying I don't own the local touge with my MX-5
No, it's just that I have a broader taste in music than fucking super eurobeat and video game music like you, so I can listen to other stuff that makes you want to go fast.
>Odd is the fact that, while Need for Speed has brought back tuning in a big way, the option for a manual transmission hasn’t made an appearance.
Criterion was split up. Most of them went to 'Ghost', they made the last couple NFS games.
Apparently Criterion are working on something new (for the past couple years so fuck knows) but it's not Burnout.
They're working on a ''hybrid'' racing game (cars, bikes, snowmobiles, jetskis, all that shit)
They said in an article thay they have an interest in a new Burnout, just good Criterion ,chance for a new burnout or something like that.
I know, talking about modern dubstep, shit that Rusko and Skrillex popularized.
I'm so pissed off at how they messed up multiplayer. Underground did it better all those years ago. There are no lobbies, just driving around challenging a random faggot that's in your world and hope he accepts. The terrible multiplayer ruins the game.
That sounds pretty cool, you should get some use out of them man. I really want to own pic related at some point, preferably SP though, it's much better than vanilla Outrun 2.
yeah modern dubstep sucks, to be honest I'm not even a big fan of old Dubstep but I like it because it reminds me of being a teenager.
I'm actually inclined to agree
It's because dubstep isn't dubstep any more, christ, it's not even wubstep.
Things like this are getting more common under the "dubstep" guise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQDvtmwuE-w
I'm ok with this change, I much prefer what it is now to what it was previously.
Call me a fag, but I like liquid DnB still. It's not good quality, sure, but it's pretty hype.
What is the shit that Koven does now though? What genre does it come under? It's sure as shit not dubstep.
By this place's standards probably. Doesn't mean it's not good
It has that Riff Raff song about "We stayed up all night doing cocaine" but he replaced "cocaine" with "video games"
>What is the shit that Koven does now though?
Have no idea, haven't paid attention to him in years.
That's actually great, is it uploaded on youtube or something?
Oh man, and this whole Transformers shit, props to them though, they didn't really cared for the ''easy to listen'' part.
I've been thinking of getting back into DJ'ing but I'd never be appreciated since my record collection is too funky.
I used to do 30-60 min sets years ago opening for my friend who is an actual house DJ and play stuff like this
I only have one turntable now though, I'd need to fork out for another technics one and a mixer.
It' wird, I wouldn't listen to this shit at home or a club or somewhere else but I'd totally listen to it while driving. Same for a lot of the GTA V songs.
Fucking laptop keyboard.
A white guy trying to act black.
I still remember when I enjoyed buying games.
Then I came to regret buying them, then playing them, then even pirating them, and now I'm down to skipping games and only listening to the soundtrack.
MGSV really had a good OST btw.
We were hooked up night playing vydia games.
Is this /v/'s new official song?
Actually this is the best Riff Raff song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkplPbd2f60
Except those driving mechanics are actually decent. Pic semi relevant.
They don't.. but sorta. Much better than the videos I've watched of this NFS game.
Post your custom soundtrack!
>inb4 only eurobeat.
>Soundtrack consists of nothing but literally whos except for Prodigy and Chemical Brothers
Damn. Underground 1 and 2 had tons of known artists such a Lil Jon and the Eastside Boys, Skindred, Rob Zombie, Xzibit, and many more.
Not complaining though, the music in the new NFS is indeed awesome but still, has too many literally whos.
that's probably because you haven't played it back when it was FRESH
Another case of ruined song just like>>315311660
>mfw I only got it cause a friend was hyped as fuck for it and wanted to bro-op
>Go it and have been playing
>Its kind of boring and the controls feel off as fuck
$60 down the goddamn drain.
On subject with main menu themes.
Sure The Run wasn't the best NFS but it did have great music especially the licensed tracks.
How is the game? i heard much of it, but is it good? Can it keep up? Is it even worth playing just for shits and giggles?
Come watch me be really good at this game
The devs found out a way to make Night time look really nice.
So they decided to make the entire game at night time.
It feels fraudulent, empty and desolate despite the few cars on the road.
>iron sights are cancer
It was a step into realism.
>playing racing games with anything but a wheel
>playing nfs with a FF wheel
Its the 12... NO.. the 20th studio we milk untill they implode in bankrupt, we got very good at it.
NFS has no story progression and its just mindless racing just because. its a collectathon with no substance.
incredible graphics but thats about it.
and its online only so when the servers goes down they take their game back. hope you like renting the game for 60 bucks.
