ITT: Be good drones and believe Todd's lies
I think FO4 looks amazing, I love the stylized graphics. Anyhow, graphics don't matter to me, Fallout is about the story, atmosphere and quests! Can't wait! :)
jesus christ anon, arent there enough fo4 threads?
Sorry anon, this is the cycle of /v/ as soon as people are done shit posting about a new game they'll jump on the next big thing
the MGSV threads have mostly died out, and now people are full shitposting force on fallout 4 since it's a week away from release
I'll probably get it on PS4 when it's less than twenty dollars.
>graphics are not important
>he buys new consoles everytime
explain this shit OP
The great thing about any Beth game isn't playing the them, it's showing everyone online that I bought them
>he spent 350 dorra to play fo3.2 with paid mods
Ps4 won't have mods
WHY I CAN'T PAY TO FIX MY GAME?
While I'm astounded at the mediocre graphics and the terrible animations, they really do not matter to me in the end. Too bad the writing will be trash and so will the gameplay. And fuck the unnecessary dialogue wheel change.
No I'm not playing OP's game just expressing my very generic opinion
How can you say that when its the exact same as FO3, and NV? Aside from the dialogue wheel, its fucking identical. You're probably that Facebook parrot that posts ebin /v/ screencaps who lacks the capability to form a personal opinion.
Totally false, of course, as is typical of Anon's posts here. He doesn't even know what the majority of the fans think of FO3. No one does as no research has been done on the subject. However, if we use the business success of the game and the overall reactions of industry personnel, critics, and consumers, we can easily see that the majority of people loved the game regardless of the qualities of the story or combat or any other factor that someone might focus on.
I'd suggest that any so-called "fan" who thinks that FO3 had a poor story may want to debate their viewpoint with Liam Neeson who stated that the story was "very good" and who has far more experience in evaluating such works than general consumers/players. Such "fans" may also want to create their own game with what they consider a superior story so that their viewpoint of what is superior can compete with Bethesda and others in the industry who actually work in this particular field. If they do not undertake such tasks, they surely have no grounds whatsoever to claim that FO3 or any other story in any game is somehow lacking, not as some type of objective fact or observation as they almost always claim. They are certainly free to state that a certain work wasn't their preference as that is merely voicing their opinion. That is entirely different than what we usually see posted here and many other places, though.
As for OP... FO3 was dark and serious, yes, as it was intended to be. However, it also had plenty of dark humor as Fallout has always had. FO4 hardly seems like the Sims in any way. Sims is a totally different type of game for a totally different audience/market. Closer comparisons can and have been made such as comparing FO4 (what we know so far, at least) to the original Bioshock (which was also very dark with very dark humor).

will buy, will enjoy will cringe at threads posting a low res rock they found in the corner of a cave
Post tfw you pre-ordered the game but all these threads and videos make you question your decision.
Are you stupid?
>Voice protag preventing you from roleplaying
>Removal of any depth to the world thanks to the dialogue wheel
>Removed karma system
>Removed perk system
>Removed skill system
>Removed 8 years of advances in technology
These are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. Others are welcome to contribute additional examples of things they've gutted from the game.
You're actually insane, Todd. I'm fairly sure you started believing your own lies at some point in time.
>Implying any of the games coming out now are actually worth buying
The amount of money that you've payed for the console, the games, the controllers, the online, the DLC, the season passes, etc. could've been spent on a PC that can play any game and emulate older consoles for free.
>but anon Bethesda has never being cutting edge
>Gameplay is literally COD tier with no RPG elements from the past
>but anon have you played it?
bethmarketters in full damage control
>not buying it and selling it for more afterwards
All shitposting aside, at least Bethesda has given up trying to make an RPG and have committed to making it an action game first, so the shooting and combat will feel much better. I'll consider it a Fallout spinoff, like Tactics or something.
obviously you do, that's like watching a video of a fucking car and then saying "I don't like how this car drives, I know because I watched a video and it's basically like I drove it myself"
>voiced protag preventing roleplaying
Really? Sounds like it's your imagination that's shit.
This is bullshit, three joinable factions are already confirmed.
>removed karma system
Again, bullshit. Different functionality does not equal removal.
You're actually insane, /v/. I'm fairly sure your expectations and standards exceeded reality at some point in time.
> replayable roleplaying experiences
>Bethesda game design
In what world? Bethesda's quests always end up being linear as fuck and, just like Skyrim, you can max out all stats in Fallout 4 so there's no real roleplaying going on.
>Look guize check this dog webm and so much shit is missing from these 30 minutes of gameplay I have seen to summarize the whole game is shit I will continue to shout from my soapbox how bad it is the thread will 404, people who are going to play it will play it and I will wait for another fallout 4 hate thread to pop up so I can continue my crusade because it's very important
Going to be awesome, enjoy being a grumpy prick who can't have fun
>they removed ammo types
>You have to put limits on YOURSELF knob gobbler
This is video gaming in 2015.
I was pointing out why people liked FO1 & 2 and why people loved them enough for the franchise to be resurrected. I agree that Bethesda is going the wrong direction with their Fallouts.
Ammo types, DT, and the faction system were in new vegas. They were never part of gamebryo or the creation engine and not adding them is not the same as removing them.
Bethesda has a history of removing features instead of streamlining/improving upon the but this is not one of those cases.
>why doesn't my in-game dog running on a 4000 year old engine not look as good as a pre-rendered cutscene dog running on an engine built over the past 8 years on a multi million dollar budget
Bethesda is shit but you're a retard.
that's not fair
DD is a wolf
I'm on the fence about F4 and will see where I stand once it comes out. But that is not important because I bought Undertale and I want to blog about it.
This game has literally, unironically been called a masterpiece and GOTY about a million times everywhere, all over, and I cannot fathom why.
I never read any spoilers, I did it all blind. I did two playthroughs, trying to figure out what I was missing.
I do not understand the hype.
>but if you kill the momonster and spare her the next time the flower's dialogue changes!
Great. Fine. It's still a tedious, unfunny, flat game. I like some aspects, especially what happens when you just haul off and murder people, and the part where the flower gives you shit if you spare that momonster after killing her the first time is kind of neat, but none of this qualifies as exactly "groundbreaking, GOTY, 10/10, perfect in every way" in my perceptions.
It may be a technicality, but taking a step back from the last mainline Fallout game is still a slap in the face for players. Bethesda had no issues adopting weapon mods, which Obsidian added in NV. Bethesda just seems like they're trimming the fat with mechanics, slimming down the game to be as simple as possible.
Everything in MGSV is real time.
Bethesda Guide to Shillpost
I just know I'm gonna end up buying it at the last minute before release just like with Skyrim. Especially since I'm making a little more scratch now and nothing else is interesting me coming out this month.
I thank bethesda for giving us a blank slate to make our own vision from. Every good game requires mods to look good, and they are the best at it.
Thanks bethesda, another canvas for us to make complete.
here's an in game shot
don't get me started on the desert aka open world
>an empty world where the tiny amount of things in it look good
Thank god for kojima, he made all six objects in his game look 4% better than fo4 with only 4 extra years of work!
Most of the benefits of ammo types were dependent on the existence of DT either by negating it or multiplying it in exchange for increased damage. Without DT there are few instances where special ammo types are useful. The removal of weapon maintenance makes surplus ammo useless as well.
>taking a step back
>slap in the face
>trimming the fat with mechanics
As I've said, they didn't "remove" those features. They chose not to add them. I can't say that I won't miss 12 gauge slug rounds, but it's unreasonable to act as if Bethesda didn't include them purely to spite me.
I actually feel sorry that people who are genuinely hyped about this garbage.
I don't understand the appeal of yet, another shooter, set in wasteland which enables laziness from the devs whilst once again, using the same engine it used half a decade ago because of laziness. All this while it looks like a ps2 game, has the most lazy ugly looking UI and has been safe treated by SJW's for cultural diversity. Everything looks like shit.
No idea why so many people have bad taste in games tbḥ
>my game is bigger than yours
you must be 18+ to post here anon
ugly as fuck, no shadows low res everywhere, painted with the diarrhea gun
Is that alpha? pretty barren and ugly, don't see the need for 'sort of open world' when there's literally nothing to do except navigate to the next checkpoint
dude dont you know, you have to patch it with mods to make it good? It's not a false positive I swear the game is just designed so you have to re-desing it yourself to make it tolerabe!
Honestly the only thing I'm somewhat interested in is the settlement creation and management. Running brahmin caravans between outposts you create sounds fun to mess around with, but ultimately I know Bethesda has fucked it up somehow.
ANOTHER FALLOUT THREAD?
CAN FUCKING DUDEBRO PLEASE GET OFF MY WEEB /V/EE?
I'm guessing that the caravans are nonessential yet cannot be replaced, so you end up losing all of your caravan slots to deathclaws. It would be similar to the 4 merchant caravans from fallout 3.
>SAYING THIS, ON 4CHAN NO LESS
FUCKING DUDEBRO LEAVEEEEEEE
>he doesn't know what pre rendered means
I took the b8 and replied
Fallout 4 it's good
It's just not....
The big one is that they removed skills from the game. Unlimited levels/perk points is a controversial move as well, since there's no risk/reward in developing your character as you will eventually have all stats maxed out.
Skills have effectively been merged into the perks. This system is superior for specialization as it means you don't have to wait til like, level 12 to be a shotgun specialist.
Once again, how have "all the RPG mechanics" been removed?
I was just replying to him
check all the posts
>there's no risk/reward in developing your character as you will eventually have all stats maxed out.
I maxed out my character in Fallout 3 without trying. I don't think that much has really changed.
I'm actually pretty thankful that accuracy is no longer tied to weapon skill. The game might actually be playable outside of vats.
Sorry to break it to yoy, but mods are no longer to be paid for :^]
>This game is the best that can be done*
>*within the time limit
Having to put a qualifying statement on the end of a Bethesda game is standard practice. Fallout 4 has good graphics*
*for a game on a 10 year old engine
Skyrim was a great game*
*with their budget
Morrowind is a top notch RPG*
*for the time
Remember how everyone was shitting on witcher 3 before it came out.
I do. Because i backed it saying it was going to be great.
Low and behold its a big stinking pile of boring ass linear
Fallout is going to make witcher look even worse than it already is
>This game is the best that can be done in the time allotted.
why is every complaining about graphics? that's not an issue mods cant fix
the animations is the biggest problem about this game. The creation engine is just too old, the movment feels clunky just like skyrim, fo3, NV.
mods wont be able to make them good
>"We architecture our system so that mods work. They work on Skyrim if you can get them on a console, Oblivion aswell. And Fallout 3. But there’s no way of getting them there. There’s still a lot of work to do. It’s going to come out on PC first, then they’ll move to Xbox One, then to PS4. There is a lot of work involved getting them onto each system."
Considering that console mods have been a huge part of the PR for this game, I don't suddenly think they're going to scrap them.
This isn't to imply they'll be any good or worth a fuck, but that they will in fact exist on both Xbox One and PS4, as well as PC.
Much like UT3 on ps3, it will require a fuckload more work to get a mod functioning on the console versions. You will get a few token mods that don't do much while everyone makes shit for pc.
Doesn't matter, that's not what the conversation was about.
Another anon said mods weren't coming to PS4, I corrected him.
Whether or not the mods will be shit, or few and far between is irrelevant. There will be mods.
I legitimately don't care about the dated graphics. They are more than good enough for me.
I am a bit sorry to see the skills go, but honestly, I don't think we're losing *too* much on that front either. I can live with the new system there.
