If Roxas can use a keyblade because he's Sora's Nobody. How come Xemnas doesn't use Xenanort's? Why doesn't he just go out and collect hearts instead of trying to manipulate Sora and Roxas into doing it for him?
if we are going to get specific, Xemnas should still be able to use a keyblade, having taken over Terra and all and his original self being Xeanort (old version) still having a keyblade
Maybe the Ethereal Blades are a form of the Keyblade.
Xemnas came from two Keybearers it would make sense that he could duel-wield.
But since Terranort is an amnesiac, Xemnas can't properly summon a Keyblade.
Except this theory is refutable because of KH2:FM and the true ending in BBS.
So I can conclude Nomura is making this shit up as he goes along, but I think
he also has written the story for a sequel as he develops the current game. Meaning
he had some of CoM and KH2 done while finishing KH1 and so on.
According to an interview with Nomura, it's possible he was intentionally not using his Keyblade.
In other words, "Crap, you're right. Umm, let's say he might have not used it intentionally, and I'll have to come up with some new story based on why. Yes, it'll be a whole new game dedicated to this one question. No, a whole arc!"
And BBS and 3D still doesn't explain anything about Xemnas.
How much of his past self did Terranort remember anyway? Did Braig tell
him about the deal they had? What the fuck Nomura, explain your shit backstory.
>-- Roxas, the "Sora + Ventus" Nobody, was able to use a Keyblade. In contrast Xemnas, the "Terra + Master Xehanort" Nobody, wasn't able to use a Keyblade. Why is this?
>Nomura: I'd rather that point remain a mystery. It's possible that he intentionally wasn't using one.
Yeah..... yeah... I get it now.
He's got no idea himself
I already accept this series has a plot about as coherent as a Picasso abstract and the point man
is probably making things up as he progresses. I think the time travel was when I accepted it.
That's false proven by KH2:FM. There's a scene where Xemnas goes into Ansem's lab, opens a
hidden chamber and starts talking to Aqua's armor. He HAS Terra's memories, and probably Xehanort's too.
Therefore he knows how to wield a Keyblade, I guess, But Nomura has not backed up that statement in the games.
I know that a lot of people hate it but I
actually have fun with KH's plot. It's fun to speculate on it and everything but I also don't make the mistake of letting it keep me up at night. KH is just fun in general for me though.
You could fix the entire plot of KH2 by making the Nobodies literal nobodies.
When a Nobody dies/disappears/whatever, it should be forgotten completely as if it never existed. They had the right idea with Xion, but even that didn't seem to carry a lot of weight the way it was handled.
They should've been trying to get BODIES not HEARTS, how hard is that concept?
Also, it would've made them way more tragic and sympathetic that way, instead of just "WE DON'T HAVE EMOTIONS AND THAT MAKES ME SAD :^(" Things like the "Proof of Existence" location would've made sense instead of just tacked on.
But what do I know, it's a Disney x Square crossover for kids.
I always thought Roxas was Sora nobody with Ven hearth. Wouldnt be Xemnas the same? Terra body with Xehanort hearth?
Maybe he didnt use it to not make suspicious the whole organization?
Yeah, but how much he knows? I always seen that scene as Xemnas kinda losing it, like Sora. And still every other nobody doesnt remember crap.
We don't know the exact situation in terms of hearts in regards to Xemnas but yes it has been said to think of Roxas as having Ven's heart. And Xemnas apparently knows a lot. There's a scene in Days where he's talking to Roxas and says something about sleep taking him once again and then there's the Nobody symbol in which the Ultimania confirms that Xemnas took it from the badge that Terra, Eraqus, Aqua, and Ven wore. This first pic is the Days scene the next one will be the Nobody Symbol.
A couple of pics, supposed information from the trailers. But apparently someone fucked up and we may never get to see the trailers.
No, Dream Drop Distance says that in the right environment/stimulus Nobodies have the capacity to re-grow them. Outside of a couple cases like Roxas, they all still start off empty.
Hell Ven pops up in Days.
Yeah, it was definitely planned all together because of what you said.
When I was younger and full of hopes and dreams I thought the plot
was the coolest and deepest shit there was, but now I know it's the dumbest shit.
Yet, I still can't help but to smirk and go "Oh, you!" at every new plot twist
that attempts to beat the last.
That's the problem. Xemnas is Terranort's Nobody, but we are never shown clearly
how much he remembers, even with Braig recognizing him
This guy >>315340410 is right, but I still don't see a clear quantity
to Xemnas's memory of his/their past. Plus, is his plan in KH2 of his
own design, or is it MX's plan he's following?
If feels like, in KH2 specifically, Xemnas was carving out his own shtick
while being guided by the unexplained memories of his past selves.
Then time traveling comes into play and Xemnas accepts the totally planned out
ahead of time master plan of getting Xehanort, Xehanort, Xehanort, and dudes
half-possessed by Xehanort to revive the Org.
So someone explain to me why Braig is in control of his own facilities if he's possessed by 1/2MX?
Or did he just absorb half of MX's heart and the other half just went to Isa?
I haven't played DDD, so all I know about the nobody/heart situation is what >>315340836 posted, but is it possible Xemnas just hadn't grown a heart during the events of KH2? Or do they state that he had?
Oh don't get me wrong I do not in any way shape or form think that it's particularly deep. I just like the characters and their arcs.
It's up in the air. The ultimania says that Roxas can be thought of as having Ven's heart, and 3D furthers the link between memory and heart and seeing that Xemnas has been confirmed to have Terra's memories you can make some guesses but Xemnas hasn't had too much confirmed on his situation but in general he seems similar to Roxas overall.
It's because the heart is supposed to be the source of identity, what makes you you.
Nobodies operate under the belief that without hearts, they are nothing. The entire arc surrounding the Nobody characters is that they can still be "something" even without their old hearts.
The plan for the Organization as reveal in 3D was for that Xemnas and Xigbar would round up 13 vessels including themselves so that Xehanort could implant a piece of his heart into them to fulfill the 13 Darknesses requirement for the X blade. So I don't know if it's a situation where there's a quantifiable number of how much of Xehanort's heart each one would get. You could take that line as Xigbar/Braig just talking shit/making light of the situation.
SIX KEYBLADES! MORE THAN ENOUGH TO DISHEARTEN A MAN!
>mfw he's pretending to be half Xehanort
That'll be Saix honestly.
