Not anymore, I went to one and realized I'm a normalfag. I find cosplay cringe as fuck, and when I went around browsing stalls I kept getting asked what anime I watch or what my favourite JPRG was. Everyone gave me blank faces when I told them I used to love Operation Flashpoint.
Friendly people though.
I went to PAX Prime last 2 months ago. First time going too.
Had a blast playing some of the unreleased games at the time like Star Fox 0.
Got to meet some celebrities like the smash bros community people like D1, Gimr and M2k. I helped out a street fighter guy learn how to play smash bros and he adapted and learned pretty well. Even gimr got a chance to ask us how we were doing in a free play session.
The merchandise was kind of underwhelming but it was nice to see the actual Valve store there.
Some cosplays were nice here and there.
Had a lot of fun.
If /fit/ ever teaches you anything, /v/, it's that you must never skip leg day.
Went to PAX Aus last weekend. First one I've ever been to. I had a friend who builds cosplay stuff as a hobby and he brought me a day pass to model some stuff he made. Despite missing out on most of the shit I wanted to panels I wanted to see (but that shit is all on YouTube so I watched them all at home anyway) I had a good time and I would buy my own ticket in the future.
that is creepy as fuck
my uni exams were in that convention centre last year, the last exam was on the day of the comic con so I wandered around with some friends, I was actually surprised by how soulless and shit it all was. I just dont think Im far gone enough to be fine with stalls selling swords and body pillows
The Avongurs? What a bunch of patriots
Went to my local "anime and videogames convention" which takes place on november of each year.
>See one of my teachers, her ex and her sister
>Her sister is your average videogame girl wearing some weird costume with huge props
>Once inside there was a girl giving free hugs. One girl ran to her like in the animays. Some other dudes went for free hugs
>A bunch of people were playing Melee
>I wanted to get a Pikachu plushie but shit was fucking expensive
>Dancing contest was over
>One or two good costumes. One attractive girl
>Leave the place, $10 wasted
Pic related, an example of what I didn't see
Last year I went to the Oct one and it was great. Actual games there to play, the Merch was alright.
Heck if a stand had a good body pillow I would have bought it this time. But there was like 2 stands with about 4 pillows each probably 2-3 were the same as eachother.
But the con just gone it was literally just Tokyo Ghoul, DBZ, AOT, then the random anime girl figures on any JP Stalls and Western was just Marvel, Batman and Transformers. No variety at all this year.
>Tfw there's barely I can cosplay as
Being black is tough man
yeah. been to gdqs for a few years now.
the main event fucking sucks now honestly. it used to be a lot more fun. you used to be able to say that all the fun stuff happened outside of the stream room, in the casual / practice rooms, but now it just happens in hotel rooms because there's too many shitters at these things and too many cliques.
still a blast a lot of the time though
>only video game convention anywhere near me shut down after 8(?) years
>this is after I go there for the first time
I guess I should be happy I at least got the chance to go to a con and it wasn't a bad experience.
>video game conventions
who the fuck needs that when homies throw lan parties
pic related, its my garage in high school
Me and my friends used to go to the big one in our state every year, and I went to one out of state with a different group of friends, but didn't go to any this year, none of us did.
They were fun the first one or two times, but after that they weren't that great, since it just seemed like the same thing each year, just slightly bigger.
Feel like i'd only ever want to go back for some tournaments or if I ever got into to cosplay or something
I went to EGX this year (and Rezzed the previous 2 years) there was the best Makise Kurisu cosplay I've ever seen, there was a cute girl dressed as the queen alien from aliens, her costume was amazing. There was a guy in a Khorne Berserker costume that was fucking boss it was about 7/8 foot tall. 2 guys dressed in Halo spartan armour that was pretty cool too, and a really cute Crystal Maiden cosplayer. I wish I'd got pictures of them all but I didn't want to bother them
Most TF2 cosplayers seem like cool dudes, cept for the majority of scouts who look like dweebs.
Went to some gaming convention to play in a
DOTAtournament to support my friends. Won first place with my team, got no significant prizes except a lot of peripherals. Sold majority of them and/or gave them away because my shit was better than the stuff they gave. Felt good having people cheer you on tho.
>there was a cute girl dressed as the queen alien from aliens
was it a sexy costume?
Not really but she mostly had the head off and the costume fit her body, looked like she was with her boyfriend who had a really good Dante costume, his hair was blonde though which kind of ruined it. Other than that his costume was just as good as hers
I'm liking this guy, but got any fighting character suggestions?
I went to Oz Comic Con last year and took some photos, but nearly all of them are on a different hard drive somewhere. I jokingly told these two to kiss when I took their photo and they did and goddamn it was cute. I know the guy was Alex Mercer, but who's the grill?
I wish camel toe became the "new widespread fashion", like when yoga pants became fashionable, and girls everywhere showed theirs to prove what "strong independent womin they are!". Strong independent women walking around topless would be awesome too..
I went to PAX Aus this year too. First time for me going to one of these convention things, as normally I don't really give a shit. I had an okay time. I bought a three day pass but by Sunday I felt like I'd kinda seen and done everything I needed to. It helped to go with a good crowd otherwise I could see it getting really boring unless you really want to sit and watch Smite tournaments.
One thing I did observe, not being overly familiar with these kind of events, is how many fucking geeks/nerds have bright pink hair. Like...heaps man. Fucking heaps. Many girls, but mostly dudes. So many have their hair cut short and kinda whispy flicked style, dyed bright pink.
Is this a trend or something in this crowd?
I fucking forgot about Lee and Blacker Baron?!
Shit...now it's between 4 characters
Not vidya, but I go to Anime Weekend Atlanta every year. It's not that good, but I know the director of registration so I get to skip the line and get in free every year so it's not like I lose much.
Wish I did, but not really much in Iowa. And I don't get to travel often with my line of work. Even on my days off I can be mandated easily and vacations need to be setup six months in advance. Don't want to end up doing that and suddenly, no ticket or people I want to go with backed out or come up with some other pissy excuse.
We had one convention in my town in Iowa like, ten years ago. It was terrible.
I've always wanted to attend SDCC considering I love most of the shit shown off plus I lived half of my life in the city, not to mention I have a boatload of family who lives there so it just seems to make sense to go but shit always comes up.
I also want to go to Phoenix ComicCon, has anyone gone to it?
I try to, but it's pretty annoying here in Swedistan since they're spread all around the country.
There was one just last week but naturally I had work. Gonna try to catch one or two next year, finally found someone to go with jesus.
Dressed up as diglett once, was pretty fun, but pretty damn hot. Had to get my friend to act as my eyes during the entire time, think it annoyed her lel.
Whats the point of the skirt
Imagine only being able to wear parachute pants.
>DANGER, MAY CAUSE HIGH LEVELS OF MUH ON THE DICK
If your face is 6/10 and if you fit into a certain spectrum of /fit/ness, you'll find some ez sluts. Just don't expect anything special.
Where can I find these cosplaying qt3.14s? I'm tall, /fit/, and attractive. But I feel like their ego would be through the fucking roof because of all of the bitch fucks that slobbering over them for liking vidya.
I'm putting my face close to the screen but the 3D image immersion on 4chan seems to be broken.
get this /d/ shit outta here
This is for you sweet prince.
Jynx from Pokemon, Mr. Popo from Dragon Ball Z.
Is that a Paige costume or gimmick infringement by an actual wrestler?
Also, why would you dress up like a normal wrestler? Why not do a ridiculous gimmick costume like a Kane or Papa Shango?
Hmm, I wonder if there was some sort of gathering you could check out, like some kind of festival that cosplayers congregate at.
Nah, these things probably don't exist, probably too
conventional. also holy shit you're a fucking retard, no wonder you aren't getting laid
That's not what it is, it's laughing octopus from MGS4.
Now what you said has no meaning.
Just go as a character that isn't black. You can still make it work
Speaking of which, I found the original.
It's pretty disappointing.
I meant outside of conventions.
This is the same guy after he went out of shape
I'm 6'2 198 lbs with low bodyfat. And I can't grow facial hair.
But that dude would look good if his fat ass would fucking cut.
What do tumblr feminist think when they see real females pull off these characters?
and this is him after a 90 day fitness challenge, in which he uploaded a photo everyday for 90 days on his facebook page. If this guy isn't inspiration to you /v/, I don't know what is
You look like a ugly shitskin so you'll fit right in.
is just cosplay, here is another
and I don't know
>Step 1, reverse search.
>Step 2, came all over the place.
It's pretty easy anon, just be confident and actually seem friendly.
I actually met her at a con in Florida, I was dressed as Kamina, had no idea who she was but her and her friend complemented me on my Cosplay, we chatted a bit and they gave me their card
Also got picked at a contest as Alexa Karii's Judge pick
Feels good man
His name is "Living Ichigo" on facebook, since he originally started out doing Bleach cosplays. I'd just message him on facebook about it. He's a pretty cool guy
I went to a comic book convention, still, there were plenty of game related cosplays. I didn't take any pictures because I was with my brother and his daughter, but I saw a group doing most the people from Borderlands 2, and a guy during the Q&A with Billy Yost and Austin St. John who looked like Max Payne circa MP3 during the final part of the game. I'm honestly not sure if this guy was doing a cosplay or not, but he was bald and everything, hawaiian shirt, beard, slightly overweight looking but muscular, the whole nine yards.
It definitely wasn't my thing though holy shit it was so crowded.
>tfw all halloween plans fell through
I got a bunch of stuff together to be Sakata Gintoki at a halloween party. I plan to make some sort of Mr.Game & Watch costume so maybe I'll get to make it soon.
shitty cosplayers are the most bro-tier cosplayers
There's more from where that came from
>implying you wouldn't fuck the brains out of that caramel qt
Going this year again. Only b/c convenience and yes im genuinely excited to see a major games convention in my city. I look forward to the games and devs. But will not travel far for othwr conventions.
Fucking awful. Knew it. I'm done looking at these absurdly wide hipped girl pics. They're so fucking demoralizing because there is no girl out there who has those proportions.
She fat but I don't care
full nudes never ;(
>go to this girl's tumblr
>look at her other cosplays
>learn someone leaked nudes of her
>turns out to be a guy
Can you fucking fags just have ***BTW I'M A GUY*** on your profile so I don't waste hours downloading your gay shit? Thanks.
Ahh, Cos, or some say Cosplay...
Do you hear our prayers?
No, we shall not abandon the thread.
No one can catch us! No one can stop us now!
Speedskaters dont mess around
always nice to make someone happy with my photos
Biker suits were the best thing to happen to the Mario series.
listen m8. Conventions are kind of a neutral ground. I really don't mind shittalking about these fags online, but its better off to just be courteous in-person.
Besides, swampy cosplayers are fun to photograph.
I've been to a single convention, and it was pitstains everywhere. The smell of body odor and total lack of deodorant was ridiculous.
I don't really get why people like them so much.
I'd assume if you were to live in California you'd be able to snag a decent looking con girl.
I'm from the mid west, and let me tell you snagging someone here isn't something to phone home about.
I think its just because they naturally bruise easier. Thinner skin so the blood vessels are closer to the surface?
And I think more girls are iron deficient than guys and one of the symptoms of anemia is easy bruising.
She's a rugby player, so bruises make sense.
Anyone got the picture with the white girl streamer bending her pale ass to the camera?
God I'm so worthless, I'm overweight, a manlet and a NEET no real desire to do anything so depressed. I go to these cons hoping to meet people but never end up actually doing so. Tried going to 'the' pub after the con that everyone goes to but was too late so it was absolutely packed.
I would love to cosplay too but there's part of me that laughs at the thought of it. Let alone the OCD(?) of wanting the costume to be good and not be laughed at is too high.
are you that anon that keeps posting his sweaty pale ass everywhere on /v/
I live in New Zealand. We have exactly one convention that goes to all the major cities once a year. Of course I go, it's the only chance I get.
I even make crappy cosplays for the fun of it, and to give me something to do at that time of year.
I go to the three local cons. One is a reasonably big one called Tora-Con that gets a couple thousand, one is a wannabe called Roc-Con with a lot of money and no brains of what to do with it, and one is a small but fun local-fan-run get together called Ani-Bash that gets a couple hundred. It's nice because the smaller nature of it all means you see some less-often-seen (or so it seems) cosplays like Colette/Sheena from Tales of Symphonia or characters from Code Lyoko or the like. I went as the Raincoat Killer for Tora-Con a couple years back, but I don't have any good photos unfortunately, though I know a lot of people took them.
I don't have any sexy images from the conventions unfortunately. But here's a Yoshimitsu from Ani-Bash to keep it vidya.
I've never been to one before but I'm strongly considering going to MAGfest this year since it's like 20 minutes from my house. I'd probably have to go alone cause I don't have many friends and I'm pretty positive none of them would want to go.
How likely am I to meet some people to hang out with or qt cosplayer to hook up with? At the very least I'd get a lot of streetpasses I guess...
>to a /cgl/ meet up at SakuraCon
>the only cute girl was underage
>going to a /cgl/ meetup
There were your first three mistakes.
well I mean, outside of that and how everyone was a faggy LoL player (except for the small few that were from /v/), it was actually a lot of fun. Some /tg/ dude brought a bunch of boardgames and we sat around playing them all day while eating overpriced japanese candies.
I don't have any friends either. I just go to pretend that I'm on a safari.
Sure why not. If all goes swimmingly you'll see a black man in Kecha Wecha armor walking around the halls.
I've never had the chance to attend PAX. The passes always sell out instantly and I refuse to pay so much to buy them from Scalpers. I was thinking about hanging outside of the next one to take photos of cosplayers though.
Darn, i look just like that old man.
>you will never go cons as him and look everyone with discust
