>>315360246 hunger is hands down the worst aspect of modern minecraft I'm 100% sure that if they never introduced that piece of shit mechanic I'd STILL be playing it, but as is I have to spend my first half a day punching the ugly tall grass until I can get some seeds and start growing wheat and baking bread it basically necessitates settingup an infrastructure that should be in place for enterprising players seeking a self-sufficient means of getting health replenishing shit, which is what food should have stayed as by all means make a tweak to healing that makes it take place over the course of a couple seconds after the eating animation instead of being an instant heal with no animation but HOLY FUCK HUNGER IS SO STUPID AND INHIBITING OF EARLY EXPLORATION and that is LITERALLY the opposite of what this game ever needed or could ever need
>>315364346 after making a sword to make the experience a little less akin to pulling fucking teeth, since animals run away as soon as you engage them and killing a bunch of animals for food makes them much more scarce in the area, so until you're able to set up some animal-related food infrastructure, which takes even more time than for agriculture, that's a stupid idea unless you're a nomadic character, running around killing random livestock isn't too sustainable

>>315366527 >and make the perfectly awesome and mysterious world making and biomes into the same old shit I totally forgot about this part too, the worldgen becoming more normalized made world exploration a lot more boring they have certain biomes meant to be fancy and exciting like extreme mountains and mushroom biomes but it just isn't the same as coming across those inexplicable sheer cliffs, impossible overhangs with massive waterfalls, humongous caverns and MOTHERFUCKING FLOATING ISLANDS now it's all rivers, hills, swamps, jungles and the like, sure it's technically for more visual variety but it's nowhere near as interesting to stumble across, not to mention way more boring to try and cultivate and live in
