>muh 11 minutes!!!!!
Meanwhile, Skyrim also takes only 14 minutes to run across:
FO4. It takes ~11 minutes to reach one corner of the map diagonally down to the other corner, by mostly just walking but also a bit of sprinting when there was enough stamina.
Honestly it's one of my biggest worries. Seems like FO4 is fucking tiny.
Anon, that's mounted. It's at least with twice the movement speed. Like, sure, you can argue that you spend the majority of your traveling time mounted, but it still counts.
So it's basically twice as much. Plus, the map itself looks several times larger than FO4's.
Uh what? I've actually never played any of the Witcher games yet. They're still in my backlog.
I just took it for granted because it's fucking logical. 10 minutes on a mount that doubles your movement speed would be 20 minutes "on foot". And, again, as stated, the map itself when opened up looks vastly larger than FO4's.
Since when the fuck is distance to go from 1 corner of the map a metric to prove anything?
Literally what the fuck does it prove?
You guys need to relax and stop mindlessly shitposting everything you see other /v/ users parroting. ITs worse than the bloodborne shitposting and its still a week away. ARe you guys really that fucking sad and hateful that you will sit here and shit on a game of which you know next to nothing about? I thought you guys were better than this.
from lockpicking to loading screens, it's skyrim with guns
>omg open world is shit cuz it's always too big and empty of content
>omg this is shit because it's not huge and filled with nocontent
Make up your minds fags
If the area is filled with worthwhile stuff to do then it's neither too small nor too big
I never forced locks in FO3 or NV because the single time I did try it it broke instead. Since manually lockpicking everything is safer and only takes a second anyway, just why?
You're just nitpicking at this point.
no, not nitpicking. relaying facts. you're nitpicking.
fallout four IS skyrim 2 with guns.
no need to argue or get upset. you'll buy it, play it and see.
pirateit and maybe play for a bit until i'm bored.
don't get mad at me the fucking thing is poop.
Who gives a shit how long it takes to rush from one side of a map to another?
I hate the fucking game and will never get it, but it's the content within those 11 minutes of map that makes the game good or shit.
Turn every map in your favorite game to a long stretch of land and time how long it takes you to run straight through it, then come back and cry that it's different
Wesker was to pure for that game's story.
I don't understand what it tries prove. Walking from one end to the other in a straight line of a game doesn't take long, but if you'd have to walk to every area in the game it'd take significantly longer.
I used to play this at my friends, and we discovered a glitch where you could spawn infinite bears by abusing area loading. We'd have a horde of 30+bears trying to eat our faces, and the whole process was pretty tense because you could be mauled at any second
I remember /v/ going mad over Dishonoured only being 4 hours long, and that turned out to be one of the best games of the last few years. It's almost like rushing through stuff doesn't tell you how fun a game actually is to play.
It's the same contrary group of people who shit on every new release to get epic /v/ cred so they can brag to their ERP friends on steam.
Wow. Shitting all over a game at the first sight of bad sure doesn't happen to every game ever on this site.
Wonder how long it will take you faggots to catch on these lonely fuckers only try to entice you into replying so they can get that sweet sweet endorphin rush when they see a ! next to their tab and a red highlighted post.
That's why you just make retarded sounding posts about how much you're going to love it, then chuckle when they post a bunch of caps lock shit.
Telling them they shouldn't play it because it's obviously not a genre they are interested in works also.
>Why do you guys even complain about this, it's clear you don't like open world RPGs, ect, etc
When your only contact with any sort of media are kiddie Japanese cartoons you start fancying yourself interesting and cultured when you're anything but.
being a weeb is like a Japanese guy coming to America, watching The Price Is Right on TV and then returning to tell all his friends how much of a fucking pleb they all are for not watching TPIR.
>we say FO4 is shit
>you get butthurt because we're not slurping up Todd's cum
Im not regurgitating other posters vomit though kiddo.
Skyrim's landscape looks better.
Also, in normal play you'd be going around that mountain in beginning, which adds sense of depth to the world.
On the other hand, in Fallout 4 video, the dude just runs straight for most of it, just coming across few hills.
>he used the "u mad cuz people have fun" excuse
this is truly pathetic, you people have nothing else to say other than that
the facts that the game features were stripped and that it keeps happening wherever you look are right here in thread
so tell me , why don't you look at them and tell me why is this allowed? Why did they do it?Why couldn't they just take fo3/nv and improve it? Why are you allowing them to do it?
no, your "I'll still have fun" meme argument doesn't work, you might as well not even reply
so far from what I've seen, the only "improvement" seems to be the weapon modifications shown at E3, IF that will even be as good as it was shown
I dont really give a fuck that they stripped the skills system. It was bloated and convoluted anyways. Often leading to extreme imbalance like in nvs case. However i will cede that voiced protag and dialogue wheel are fucking stupid. But what really pisses me off is that they added hit markers grenade markers and gun melee. Thats pretty much telling me that they are just trying to make the game as simple and mainstream as possible. Ill still play it and probably have fun though. That isnt enough to make me shitpost about fallout 4 for the rest of my life. But what am i gonna do to stop them from doing this bullshit? There is virtually nothing we can do. And until the game is legit not fun you guys just seem like buttblasted crybaby bitches to me.
If it's anywhere near the same size as Morrowind it'll be fine if they put interesting shit in the map. Cyrodil felt tiny as shit in Oblivion but it was a lot bigger than Skyrim.
So you just call it shit then? Even though its not even out?
>ive seen 3 4 minute long webms!
Are you gonna kill the vp of zenimax studios or what? How are you gonna fix the games?
>Day one pirate! hurr durrr
Meanwhile 10 million preorders are coming in. Good job.
>It's the same contrary group of people
How do you know? It's anonymous. Are you tracking and monitoring IPs? Or is everyone who disagrees with you just considered to be "the same people" so it can help your whiny argument?
>time to cross map diagonally
>hiding worst texturure of the game
>number of hidden nigger jokes
>how many times you can jump on one leg without dying in game
>ability to shit yourself on command
>built-in flash player
That's the defining features of a good game.
>Skyrim is a 5gb 2011 game developed with ps3 and 360 in mind
>fallout 4 is a 20+gb 2015 game released on modern consoles
>a game of which you know next to nothing about?
>next to nothing
You mean aside from all the previews and other videos released and the fact that it's made by a company that has a long history of churning out utter shit?
>infinite horse stamina on roads, the thing explicitly added to quicken long roads
>map is about half of entire game area
>sprinting with pauses for wheezing
At least post a on-foot run through with half the time walked and half ran.
How big the game feels is what matters, scale is more important than actual size.
A huge as fuck map in a game where you drive everywhere will feel smaller than a smaller map where you can't drive.
assuming no cheat codes, it takes ~10 minutes for San Andreas, the difference being there was LOADS of shit to do in that space, and that space was incredibly varied.
honestly I think San Andreas was the last game to do open world right.
Why do people even care about the time it takes to run across the map? Most of this genre of games are devoid of interesting fucking content any way, complain about that instead. I'd rather have a map that takes 10 minutes to get across that was full of life, interesting areas, interaction between areas, etc. instead of another fucking Skyrim or Fallout.
For the record, I'm not defending Fallout, the series is overhyped trash.
>16MIN TO RUN ACROSS THE WITCHER'S 3 MAP
>"It only takes 11 minutes to walk from one corner to another in fallout 4."
It's the walk part that gets me mad. Fucker fucking dashed through the entire map. There is walk, jogging and dash (dash needs action points.) it's same as running skyrim from corner to corner and use horse.
