>accidentally hit computer case
I had something like this where I had to pick it up shake it gently to stop it from sounding like a truck idling. I checked all the fans, couldn't figure out. Turned out a couple of motherboard screws were loose.
Holy fuck I'm dying
worst is when your screen and OS starts glitching up every once in a while and you're worried your computer will crash so you panic and reboot so you won't lose all that porn for good
>GPU fan stopped spinning last year
>Have to constantly kick-start it myself while having a program that speeds up the fan to 100%.
>For some reason there is a massive VVVVVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR sound when it spins
>Usually hit the computer several times before it stops
>Still a slight vrr sound happening while it's on.
If I don't my temps get too high.
>clean entire machine
>all nooks and crannies
>not a speck of dust left
>smile and put cabinet door back on
>look inside the day after
my old computer had a problem where essentially the cpu fan would flat out stop spinning if room temperature was low enough. for example, if its winter and its cold outside, and i open the window to let some air in, the fan would just stop, and the computer would do the
continuously until the fan started working again. so what i had to do, for several years, whenever i turned the computer on, or opened the window, was to start spinning the fan manually with my fingers until it decides to start working. got my fingers hit like a hundred times by that faulty piece of shit.
Oh yeah, consoles have amazing build quality. I've never heard of anyone having an issue.
The only difference between consoles and PCs is if your PC acts up you can do something about it yourself.
>my face I dont have peasant troubles anymore
>mfw using a fat lady PS3 during hot summer days
Jesus fuck that thing is so loud
Every single time I start the computer it goes VVVVVVVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR until I kick it hard, really hard, just once. Then it stops, until the next time I turn it off and on again.
thats the pc's internal heater. it has to keep it from getting too cold.
people don't really know this but pcs have to work harder to heat themselves than to cool themselves, thus the loud whirring.
>check which fan is it by manually stopping them one by one.
check if it's not obstructed by any cable.
if it's not, replace the fan.
kicking your computer isn't good long term fix anon.
>have dell home PC in 1998
>it goes DRWWWWWWVRRRRRRRRRRRRH
>press turbo button
IT JUST WORKS
>spend $1000+ on high-end computer
>regularly smack the shit out of it like it's a CRT TV from the early 90's
Guys what the fuck
A good smacking keeps the bitch in place. Wouldn't want your PC to NTR you with Malware now would you.
>Iiiiyaaa troy-kun, please dont remove my panties, Admin will will hear us.
Opposite for me
>computer goes VVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR all of a sudden for absolutely no fucking reason
>slap the stupid outta dat bitch for thinking I'm not a real nigga
>goes quiet again
>get a 980ti with the 2.0 ACX
>put it in and turn pc on
>fans aren't spinning up
>find out the thing idles with fans off
Took some getting used to. I kept checking my temps because I'm paranoid as fuck
>implying these computers are worth 1000 burger bucks and not frankenputers built from the salvaged parts of old pcs.
>Fell for the Nvidia shilling on /v/ and bought one of their graphics cards
>Shit explodes on me
and that's why I stick with AMD
Consoles have problems that the manufacturers do not address. Just like PC's they get filled with dust. The heatsink and fans get a lot of dust in them over time causing over heating problems. Instead of being easy to open the console for cleaning purposes they make it hard as fuck so modders can't easily access the internals. Pretty much just fucking over everyone.
It's so stupid too, because anyone who knows what they're doing enough to mod a console can easily get inside it. It just makes it a pain in the ass. Same exact situation as DRM.
This is why I said fuck it and spent the extra couple hundred bucks for alienware to do it for me.
Had this fucker for about 3 years now and it's survived everything I've thrown at it, including letting it get struck by lightning which burned out the temp sensors (at least that's what I think it did, fans run full blast in auto now)
>decide to buy cheapest dvd drive for installing my physical games
>makes loudest noise known to man while disks are spinning
>sometimes it'll just decide to start spinning, even when there's no disc inside it
>letting it get struck by lightning
You tryin' to overclock that bitch with the forces of nature?
>not jury rigging your HDD in mid air to eliminate all case vibration
It's like you guys like VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
There was a bad storm and I didn't unplug my computer. Came home and the fans were going nuts. I have a surge protector but apparently it wasn't enough.
It's liquid cooled as well though which is why it hasn't died yet (I think)
>Fans start spinning at full velocity
>On day get up from bed and hit power button
>Go about getting piss and ressed
>Come back to PC
>It's not on
>Press power button
>Fucking scorch marks around plug socket
>Have to get replacement from Corsair
>PC reboots for no reason
>Takes ages to boot
>Eventually find out second Seagate 1TB HDD storing all my shit is causing it
>Boots fine without storage HDD
>Seatools can't even see the HDD
>Only seen when PC finally boots but PC can't even open HDD because PC is unusably slow
>End up having t take it out and buy another 1TB HDD
Surge Protections doesn't work unless your entire building is protected by it.
>thinks a million bazillion volt will get thwarted by a piece of shit for 10 dollary doos
How should I go about cleaning my PC? I bought some canned air and anti static brushes. Do I literally just spray that shit in there?
See this is why I don't use a case. very dangerous!
>tfw even joking suggestions of NTR begin to get your blood boiling
it's probably not safe for me to get a girlfriend
i was destined to be a wizard
god was just protecting his other children
I was the same until I stopped reading h-manga or even feeling pity for the dude. Now I just pretend I'm the dude fucking the girl and alls right now.
Get your priorities straight.
>get plastic bag
>spray canned air into plastic bag
>repeat until out of canned air
>go to the store and buy more canned air
>hit it again
>it stops like the little bitch it is
>tfw my PC hasn't been turned off for about 9-10 months now
I don't want to know what's going on in there. I'm using it as an excuse to build a new PC when it gives up and dies
if it ever does.
>have external HDD ontop of tower due to short USB cable
>feet under desk
>get stuck in a cable
>tip tower over
send it back for warranty, get a new one
>havent switched on gaming pc in over a week
>come back from work one day
>pc had turned itself on and was on sleep mode when i got back
I dont know whether its trying to creep me out or it was getting lonely
They're made of thousands of individual components, each needs to be in working order, or the chain breaks and the machine fails. Even if everything works okay to begin with, time and excess heat puts stress on the components until something fails. Keeping your air vents clear and removing the layer of dust that builds up between the heaksink and fan will go a certain way in reducing this stress, but nothing lasts forever.
It doesn't work, I'm an electrician and if such small things would actually be able to protect against lightning strikes an entire area of being an electrician would become redundant.
>see insect crawling into case
>2 minutes later
I bet those pesky critters are living in there lovely and warm at your expense
Jesus Christ are literally 10 year old that cant afford a computer for 300$? You can even buy a fucking laptop that's better than that piece of shit and play some games on it.
>Unlike Europeans who keep Muslims in their living rooms.
I'm warm and proud of doing everything I can to help with the housing crisis. If you didn't have anywhere to live, you would change your tone very quickly.
I was 3 episodes into the 3rd season a month ago.
Should I pick it up again? I can't remember why I stopped watching, I may have just lost interest.
Next you'll be wanting me to snip of the tip of my willy.
Computers are bottom bitch fuccbois they want to be smacked from time to time
Even the expensive ones always want someone to fuck them up
when I was really little my first PC did that, you had to press against the side panel of the case or it would hum like crazy
in hindsight it was probably just a loose screw on the mobo or something causing it to vibrate
How often do you check your computer anons.
I call the guy who built mine every 6 months for safety checks, clean up, possible resetting of the system, etc
My SSD is not fixated inside my computer, it actually just kinda lies around with a cable stuck between case and the inner structure so it doesn't have wiggle room
Is that bad?
For some reason there was no track for the SSD in my package and both electronic markets around me don't have that shit either
I actually had this happen to my old PC before.
I finally took the PSU out and noticed that over the years of it almost always being on, the fans just couldnt keep up with the temperature and the fan blades start to melt a bit and warped the blades to the point where the fan was off balance and sometimes striking the base.
You'd be surprised how hot those PSUs can get when you have a few hundred watts of power running through them.
When I got my new PC, first thing I did was install some Noctua fans in it and make sure all the wires were away from the main board.
No it's fine
Some newer cases let you screw the SSD vertically behind the motherboard where all their cable management mess is supposed to go because it literally doesn't matter what you do to it.
>Start InputMapper so that I can use my PS4 controller for the PC
>Start Teamspeak so I can hang out with my bros while playing something
>whole computer freezes for 8 seconds
>Games make the PC crash
I know thats a whole other topic but what the fuck is this?
This really only happens when I start both Inputmapper and Teamspeak
Is inputmapper just garbage software? Does anyone else here use a PS4 controller on PC and can tell me a better program?
>accidentally cause the almost-extinction of your race
the fuck are you on about?
first you tell the poor fool to defrag his machine that shouldn't even be running anything other than 2000 and now you're saying don't defrag?
make up yer mind man
what does /v/ think of horizontal cases?
they always looked dumb as hell but I figure having the motherboard and cards lie flat and not be bent by gravity would improve their lifespan
>slaps him 3 times then continues kissing
>keep all my games on a 3tb storage drive
been like this for a year now, any access to the drive makes it go nuts. No performance issues from what I can tell, though. Should I worry?
he's running 7x64 on 1g of DDR1 you don't know how much space is used on his drive and the HDD has fuck all to do with speed in this case, do you still tell people to clean their desktop icons and delete their e-mails so that their PC will run faster?
do you often debate about shutting down your PC vs leaving it on all the time?
get your head out of the 90's bro
>tfw same deal with my PC
If it ever turns off, it takes between twenty-forty minutes to boot up again because it keeps boot-cycling for some reason. I've been told it was a HDD issue, a memory issue, a temperature issue etc. and everything I've replaced didn't fix it.
Now it just stays on all the time, it's not like I'm suddenly not going to use it one day or anything.
>computer takes around five minutes to be usable from startup to being able to do anything without excessive slowness (like opening a program or whatever)
>ever since the last time I turned it on (left it off two weekends ago when I was out of town), any page with many images (ex: board catalog or even a large thread) causes a full browser lockup for a good <= 10 seconds
Most annoying shit in the world.
Holy shit Gaius, stop being autistic.
It's just a pc, it IS going to make noises.
>hot summer day
>obese PS3 is screaming while I play MGS4
>cat lies down behind PS3
>PS3 overheats and shuts off
I used to have this problem, set input mapper to non exclusive mode or close steam and ts, launch im in exclusive mode, launch steam, then launch ts.
Or do what I did and get a steam controller.
What the fuck does RAM have to do with booting?
The computer is taking 20 minutes to sort through a fragmented shitty tiny drive to piece together all the files it needs to boot. You've just forgotten what it's like to have a drive under a terabyte.
Install a lightweight linux distro. It's absolutely, completely, positively retarded to run Binbows on that piece of shit.
I actually ran the program in this post >>315387442
from a friend's advice and my health status is good so who knows. I'm sure it's because of my HDD being a few years old or something. I really need to blow the dust and shit out of my computer too.
that's not how 7 operates, at all.
the machine can't buffer the OS, min secs for 7 is 2g
plus you don't know what the fuck he has booting with the OS, he could have fucking bonzi buddy for all you know
>Have almost all games and OS in SSD
>HDD only for old files and old games
>Boot old game in HDD
Is this right /v/? Do HDDs go on low-consumption mode if you don't use them often?
>buy a new CPU
>the stock fan is laughably bad
>the fan speed intensifies to a 100% as soon as any weight is put on the CPU
>open new tab
>scroll down on the page
>close the browser and let it run idle
>play a game, any game
>goes VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrRRRRRRrrrrrVRRRR all the time
i put up with it for a few months before i finally just bought a new fan for it
>mfw that peaceful one consistent sound
it should be fucking criminal to ship components with shitty fans like that
Do you think vertical standing mobos just snap after a few years?
Or how do you think it affects the lifespan of it?
mITX cases are slightly hotter, which does affect the lifespan of components in a very very meager way unless you actually plan to use them for decades.
>Oldest hardrive I have (500gb) starts doing a loud VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
>every file in there loading painfully slow
>panic cause if the drive fails I'll lose almost 10gb of irreplaceable OC porn
>after booting sound starts again
after a couple more minutes of this suddenly there's complete silence and a popup appears
>we have finished the scheduled scan
FUCK YOU I ALMOST DIED
Kicking the case seems to be the most common solution to PC problems.
Also it works more often than it should.
yeah, go ahead and turn it off and see if it helps.
it will put a larger strain on your CPU for HD video though so be warned you may run into some lag on youtube if you go above 720
convince me into not buying this to replace my old ssd
>think that its just some anon pranking /g/ again with a gore thread with some old cheap shitty card
>it's a 8800
I want an SSD /v/
Should I get one before or after I upgrade my GPU?
Only have enough money for one at a time
Jesus fuck this thread proves that /v/ is a bunch of incompetent fucks playing dota2 and csgo on their shittastic computers.
>hurr my pc is freezing wat is the problem
Take it to geeksquad they'll help you out, or better yet sell it and embrace your consolefaggotry.
At this point it doesn't matter, all SSDs support the more important features and are using safe chipsets, and the speed increase often doesn't really affect performance .
Just treat it as you would treat any other HDD.
>tfw you're a bitch to the middle-man too because you're too afraid to even open your PC case
>have a faulty DVD reader on my laptop
>don't care, it's 2015 I haven't seen a disc in years now
>still clicks from time to time to remind me of its presence
>often freezes on boot until I punch the laptop to get it unstuck
Hurray for violence !
Well okay it helped a little bit. Load times for catalog (for example) went down to a couple seconds without locking everything up (thread took a few more seconds) but now my font in-browser is different. Odd.
Still not back to original efficiency though. I'll probably have to reinstall the fucking browser or something.
>Computer using 70 percent RAM at all times, in Process Management using only about 20 percent
>Computer sounds like it's got a baseball card stuck in its fucking spokes
>Wondering what the fuck is going on
>For months trying to solve this problem
>Last night, try updating all of my drivers in one fell swoop.
>Wireless driver conks out and need to install from the disk that came with my motherboard
>Uninstall wireless driver
>Two seconds later (I was timing it), RAM usage IMMEDIATELY shoots down to 20 percent.
Fuck you Killer Network Manager, AND the horse you rode in on.
Talking about computers i bought a new desk. The problem is that i never know how to sit properly with the shape it has.
As you can see it doesn't have any "straight" edge, everything is a bit sideways. You're not at straight angle with the desk. It's how it's shaped.
The thing is : i'm afraid of getting a scoliosis or some shit by sitting like a retard. How should i sit and watch my screen ?
>watching a video on YouTube
>suddenly the sound is sustained like when your PC crashes
>go to the speaker settings on the taskbar and click the slide
>refresh the page
>works fine again
What the fuck is this /v/?
That happened to me for a while too. Any time I closed a window that was playing something it would just sustain the last note and it'd sound like my computer was crashing. I think I reinstalled windows because of it.
>sound keeps fucking up for no reason
>doesn't happen anywhere else
>can't tell if the stream is fucking up or it's a problem with your computer
>eventually it just stops happening
>on a computer
>put it on hibernate and go get groceries
>walk towards computer
>has happened like three times this week
I swear that thing is sentient and is aware of me.
>Have had my gpu for 2+ years
>never opened it up or anything to clean it out, just did my best to hold the fans steady and blow some air in it
I'm worried /v/ am I killing my gpu or is it just a meme to sell canned air
>Build decent PC
>Barely play games
>Just have 50 tabs open in browser at any one time
>Put it in sleep mode rather than shut down so it doesn't take half an hour to wake up
Oh hey I do have one more question.
I had the Windows notification thing permanently turned off (you know the popup whenever you want to install ANYTHING that double-checks for your approval?) but now whenever I restart, I always have to turn it off again each time because something will inevitably trigger it.
I THINK what caused it was me trying out Bitdefender for a bit a couple months back before going back to MSE but the notifications still come up every so often. It's pretty annoying. Any tips?
>buy logitech mouse so i can use it on my bed
>m1 and m2 arent seperated in the middle
>try clicking both at once feels like clicking a piece of shit
>clicking too fast makes the scroll wheel move
>double clicks like a stupid piece of shit
Yeah I believe so. I forget the exact term that it's called.
I really need to shower so if you're still around in 10-15, I can do more to help out, or I'll be back around if you could help me out. It's weird because I've had them turned off since I first built this computer and them acting this way has been a recent thing as well.
>the dialogue is super quiet
>scenes with music / action blow your fucking ears out
Is leaving a PC on for a long time actually damaging for the RAM ?
I don't know that much about computers, but I suspect I have faulty RAM and that's easily how it could have gotten fugged.
>my chair is so shit the only way to sit comfortably is like this with my knees in front of me
>do this for like 6 hours
Just ran CDI. Says health is good, anything to worry about?
so thats what the grinding noise from my fan was
It is. The most stress put on your computer is during startup when the components get a jolt of electricity to start up. It's when they consume the most power the same way a car's first gear requires the most power to get the vehicle going.
You should only shut it down when you expect a power outage.
>128GB SSD for windows and utilities
>2TB HDD for gaems and less important programs
>3TB HDD recovered (4FREE) from a broken NAS for torrents, meems faces and downloads in general (seagate green, no reason to use it for anything else but storage)
>later on added a 256GB SSD for vidya only
>use oldass hifi amplifier
>one of the tiny fans inside the case starts vibrating very annoyingly
>cut it out
>the thing now keeps overheating if I can't coax the second fan into working
One day it'll explode
who /good/ here
gonna go out and buy an SSD on friday when I get paid
256gb SSD good enough for vidya games or should I just get 500~
mostly cause I want to speed up STALKER load times
I'm starting to think this fucker is going to outlive me.
>Case fan has been barely functional for years
>Every time I start my PC it keeps making a loud sound for an hour or so then goes silent
>Never fixed it because barely close my PC because NEET
>Buy SSD for OS or a few games when upgrading entire PC essentially
>theres no spot for me to mount it
>Tired after building PC so just put it back in the box
>Its been over 6 months now
I need help.
it sniffed the groceries and wants some food.
as long as you eat first and give it the scraps when you're done, you shouldn't have to worry about it jumping on the table and stealing from your plate.
Could you link me to the download page itself or something? Don't want a lostboy here.
Yes, and as I stated in my post, it is a recent thing. I turned it off the one time when I built the computer and it's never been a problem during the past few years up until the last couple of months.
Atleast use a milk crate or something
But all in all its stupid, you leave it open to damage, for your cat to piss in, for you to knock over and fuck over, and generally open to gather all dust it can.
>computer bootsup, takes two minutes
>I need a new antivirus
>you need to reboot
>it takes 10 fucking minutes to start up
>AVG pops up
>"did you feel that, your PC booted up 15% faster, now let us fuck up your browser starting page and search"
Never ever again
How often do you guys reinstall your OS and wipe everything?
2 months later and it's already full of porn again, why can't I help myself
Also, reccomendations on External Storage drives? Would really like to be able to save my gbs and gbs of PS2/GC/Wii games
>neighbors playing their shitty loud music that makes the apartment shake
>neighbors dropping shit, kicking and punching shit, clonk sounds everywhere
>neighbors revving their shitty motorcycles on the front yard
>constantly think they're coming from inside my PC when I have my headphones on
also when my roof neighbor takes a shit I hear fucking everything since his toilet is right above my head or some shit, imagine how fun it is to eat without music on
>Never got an antivirus besides the default
>No problems because pay attention to what I download
>start pc one day
>WINDOW ISNT GEUININ LMAO
>Have this for eternity
I stopped caring, it seems to be more effort finding a keygen software without having to do 'surveys' than it is just closing the window that says you're a bad person
>250GB for Windows, /b/-folder and general crap
>1TB for games and backup
I'm gonna get a new hard-drive, maybe a WD Black 4TB for just plain backup and torrents. Games are fucking huge nowadays, plus i need a place top save the backup, so having one HDD for games and for backup seems like a good solution.
What do you guys think?
Not really, do take a look at the HDD with HD sentinel or something, an old dying HDD will be louder on those and even start a low 'hum' noise that can vibrate through the case
>4th grade, first pc
>playing runescape for 4 hours straight while my nan babysits my brothers
>computer shuts off and wont turn back on
>nan says i busted it by playing for so long
>unplug power cable
>plug back in about 30 min later
>get 10 minutes before it turns off again
>think i'm going to be in deep shit
>nan promises to not rat me out to my parents if i help her vacuum the floor
>more effort finding a keygen software
>my face when people don't use Windows 7 Loader upon reformatting
let alone that old ass piratebay torrent that literally comes pre-cracked with wat disabled
I think you should make a 2TB partition and encrypt it to hide all your porn so when you die preamturely your parents don't find your boypucci folder and follow you out of shame.
I have an entire 4TB drive in there nobody knows I have
>External Storage drives
i've been using a ~80€ 1TB WD Elements for 3-4 years now i think, never got a problem. i still see them around (now there's also bigger sizes), so i guess they're not that bad.
USB3 too, so you can put any new porno on it and be done with the copy before you jizz.
if you have space in your case you could get a NAS hdd, but don't expect it to be good for anything other than storage.
>Build new desktop
>Wireless card doesn't line up with case/motherboard properly, can't get it fully in the PCI slot without the case somehow getting in the way
>Pull my old wireless card out of my old computer, same problem
>Graphics and ethernet cards fit just fine
I still don't get what the problem was. I mean I don't even need the wireless for my desktop but I like to have it in case I ever need to haul my desktop somewhere with no ethernet.
>AC power supply dies because of power outage
>pc takes ages to boot because it doesn't get enough power
>constant fear of losing data over a broken power supply because I'm a computer ignorant
>get it replaced and fixed, everything all right, I finally can stop crying
>reading this thread while hearing the fan spinning randomly is triggering me and making me anxious
No, I found it pretty recently actually but I'm about to install an i7 and new mobo so I'm going to reinstall anyway.
Refer to previous statement
>Wireless card doesn't work, even though it lights up and is clearly connected to PC
>Send it back
>Use ethernet cable forever instead
>Had a legit copy from school but the key doesn't work
>dont really care enough to fix it. live with popups for years
>eventually windows gets pissy and changes my background to black
>quality of life significantly improved
And now all my backgrounds on all my devices are straight black and it is great
The PSU fan will adjust its speed according to the heat in it.
If you put your hand to the output of the PSU and its blowing outroom temp air, you are fine.
If its blowing out fuckhot air itsi n trouble.
>friend puts an intel inside sticker on his calculator
>laugh for days
Since people are asking questions, does anyone have any experience with the Corsair k70 keyboard? Recently mine has decided to randomly not register inputs. It's rare though so I can't fucking test anything.
Holy shit, read the rest of my post you dolt
jokes on you I don't even know what that is
Replace your power supply fan with a new one. Normal fans don't like being horizontal though try silent ones.
Some manufacturers use weird fans like 13.5 so its hard to replace them, just use zip ties to secure them.
>put together my PS last year October
>too scared to open it up again and dust it
>have to wipe dust off of my desk and keyboard every day
what if I blow all if the dust into my GPU? Poor thing wouldnt be able to take it
>tfw got an ssd
>tfw got 16gb of ram
>tfw got a decent cpu/gpu
>try using some shitty prebuilt
trust me computer components are pretty tough, you wont break shit
also all the gpus ive seen are pretty open, if stuff does happen to get through the fan you can just blow some air through the side of the plastic shit
the ONLY thing you need to worry about with canned air is not to be too close or else youll get some condensation
It's not that it waits for games or anything to rev up the fans. It probably just wont turn them on till 60C. I make custom profiles on my GPUs to do the same thing. There is literally nothing wrong with them idling at like 50-60C and having the fan off (290's in my case, so they're a bit warmer)
As far as general usage is concerned the only thing that really matters is the SSD.
You can have a stupidly responsive experience on a fucking Athlon 64 and 2GB RAM with an SSD.
>build first PC last year
>fans speed up to sanic turbo mode on startup
>get scared first time this happens
>always happens now.
Anyone else get this? The fans will be at sanic speed on startup for like 2 seconds going VRRRRRRRRRR and then go back to regular speed with virtually no sound.
meh, still have my stock CPU fan on (~3 years) and it shows.
My spacebar got fucked and it was registering me holding it down continously whenever i press it once. I couldnt see anything visually so i sent it for repair and they were pretth good, got a brand new one back from them in less than a week or two
My monitor randomly decided to have the power light flicker a certain amount of times depending on how long ago I turned it off before it turns back on again. I already plan on getting rid of this monitor but should I go ahead and get a new cable too?
>don't use speakers, just use the monitor's speakers
>decide to play a game
>hear ungodly wailing and whirring from inside the monitor, as though some unsettled spirit is trying to manifest itself in my monitor
>plug in headphones
To this day, I still don't know what the hell this is about. Maybe I need actual speakers.
>Never opened up PC before
>One day it just randomly starts going VVVVVZZZZZZZZZZ like a tiny plane is taking off
>Open it up
>Somehow a wire managed to thread itself through one of the fans and the noise was the fan blades hitting the wire
How the fuck does something like that even happen?
>Screen cuts to black
>vrrrrRRRRRRRRRR like someone fired up a jet engine
>Does this a couple of times one month then never again
>Next year same shit happens then stops again
Computers are weird.
>at some point my GPU stops working
>screen is simply black, PC does boots up without a problem but I can't see shit
>test everything, it all works except for the GPU
>couple months later same shit happens
ad infinitum, have had this problem for 1-2 years now. I think its mobo related somehow, but i cant test it because none of the parts have truly died they just have this problem very occasionally.
>PC occasionally turns itself off, maybe once every couple of months
>No freezing, no preceding sound, no delay, just switches off completely
>No error reports of any kind after turning back on, running fine
>Iiiiyaaa troy-kun, please dont remove my panties, Admin will will hear us.
That's what worries me so much, everything's fine
It happens extremely rarely, and from what I remember I've never been doing anything particularly stressful for it when it does
