So let's say that after 3 decades, Nintendo finally decide to make pic related into an actual character instead of a plot device and for once, actually decided to listen to fans for advice. What do you think they need to do to make her a genuinely good character?
Or is it too little too late for her?
She's had actual character since the 90's, anon. Characters don't need constant dialogue, Shakespearean plays written about them, and a melodramatic book of backstory lore to have character.

She was playable in 3D World and not the damsel in distress. That was a mainline platformer as well.
She was also playable in a mainline platformer 28 years ago.
And she was an important playable character in SMRPG several years later.
And she's playable in like every single Mario spin-off.
I'd wonder what took them so long to do something a crappy cartoon from the 80s did way before them.
And she's not interesting because she's too easily likable, and flaws like "ditzy" and "clumsy" are there to accentuate her cuteness. It's just flat and two dimensional. This set of descriptions could apply to a lot of girl characters in fiction
especially of the fan variety
But I hate her and prefer the superior Princess
Yes. Luigi isn't a particularly defined character. NONE of them are. Not even your precious Waluigi. If any of you Nintendorks seriously think that, it makes me question how much actual real literature or other media you actually expose yourselves to outside of Nintenyearold land.
Of all the Mario princesses to choose from, you choose the one who's not a princess.
>every single role she has in the RPGs using that characterization
except for sticker starhas been hella fun and interesting
Nah, ur a cunt.
You leave my precious Waluigi out of this!
