>>315612756 Gameplay that doesn't bore me. RPG mechanics that feel deep. Movement around the world is fun. Story that is actually somewhat interesting. It doesn't matter what they do I will be pirating it.
>>315612756 Real climbing of mountain. Before game come out man say "you climb mountain" but when get game I no can climb, only run and jump up mountain. It ok but not immerse. Real climbing of mountain would be immerse.
>>315615098 >also world design and cities like in witcher 3 Same here. Though you have to realize that if cities are of the same scale as Witcher 3, you wouldn't have the same depth of interaction with npcs or anything in the world, as you would in TES games. They're willing to sacrifice quantities for story-telling.
I'd like to see Spell Making come back, maybe revisit an old Region like High Rock but fully realized. I'd definitely like to see the RPG mechanics make a come back, full force, lots of depth. I'd like them to take the severely detailed character customization system from some recent MMOs into account, Black Desert from the bit I got to play has great customization levels, something like that, but in a visual style fitting TES would be nice.
Take more inspiration from Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, less emphasis on kick, more emphasis on blocking/evading damage and timing for the melee combat.
I'd like a political intrigue tale if we actually get a high rock game. COmplex politics, no big evil, I'd like a political fantasy thriller.
Maybe mounts again, but maybe not gravity defying mounts, ya know?
I'd really like to see more depth to the magic system, and more effects that aren't outright damage. Some of the most fun effects in Dark Messiah do no direct damage at all, like the ice slick or shrink effects.
>>315615912 It's replicating how the human eye works, the camera is focusing on what you're looking at. If you look into the distance it becomes crystal clear. It's dynamic. The blur isn't constant, it changes as you look at different things in different places.
Have you never played a DoF modded Skyrim or something?
>you wouldn't have the same depth of interaction with npcs
EH? What? Really what? Depth? Were we playing the same game? Doesn't seem like it. Only quest characters have the bare skeleton inkling towards something that could be mistaken for depth and thats already an exaggeration. The rest wander about aimlessly and have generic dialogue lines they parrot at eachother. Your character and its actions are irrelevant, most glaring being a dunmer or nord and talking with other dunmers and nords and no-one cares at all despite all the racism and isolationism going on. 'Interaction with the world' is likewise hilarious, maybe after 15 mods but otherwise you can open doors, containers, trigger traps and do actions that have no conceivable worth or use. Like cooking or cutting wood.
Don't get me wrong, Skyrim isn't the worst Elder Scrolls game, only the third worst, but honestly my man, have some backbone to not lie in our faces.
>>315612756 >much better combat, including recoil >completely redo magic system; stop being fucking lazy with the spells every time a new TES game comes out, and actually come up with new pells. elements would be good too >character stats (shit like Strength/Intelligence) >no more objective markers >more voice actors >make Farengar a more important character
so much potential, watered down like hell someone in a thread earlier tonight described Skyrim as "wide like an ocean, deep as a puddle"; nailed it
Depth and immersion where the kingdom capital cities are like 10 buildings and 30 NPCs, out of which about 5 give quests and have more then generic dialogue lines? Copy pasted buildings and character models? Nah. Naaaaaaaah.
There haven't been any cities since Daggerfall, and believe me, empty or inaccessible areas actually do more to instil immersion then what lego towns accomplish. Fucking Mass Effect could do this despite "planets" being six to twelve hallways. You go try playing Oblivion and see the glorious capital of the whole planet with the largest population being 8 guards, 24 generic NPCs, 5 quest giver NPCs and empty locations that have literally nothing till you do enough of the main quest where the highlight is you gathering 2 generic guards of every city, wait for a riveting speech and fight level locked daedras. Or in Skyrim where the whole CIVIL WAR amounts to rednecks sitting in camps and you choosing between two objectively bad decisions that amount to absolutely nothing in the long term and has no effect on the game.
If only there were more train themed elements, such as a shout that calls trains down from the sky to crush my enemies or a train based fast travel system. Perhaps if Bethesda hired some sort of wizard of trains, this might be possible.
I'd like to see Valenwood or Elsweyr. The problem with those is that they aren't populated primarily by humans. The NPCs could end up looking pretty much the same. I didn't think it was that big a deal in Morrowind, but graphics are so much better nowadays that I think people would notice more.
I'd like them to put stats back in the game without going back to the old system. I disliked that even more than Skyrim's levelling.
One of the things that I think they did well in Skyrim is that I actually liked killing things with spells for the first time in any Elder Scrolls. I agree that they need to inject more variety and, if possible, bring back spell creation, but I think they should aim for a similar end result. Perhaps, if they can't get spell creation to work with that system, they could utilize the dual-wielding spells concept to let you make your own on the fly by combining different basic ones.
>>315616081 >It's replicating how the human eye works No, it's replicating how a camera with autofocus works. >the camera is focusing on what you're looking at Too bad the game doesn't know what you're looking at, only what direction your virtual head is pointed in. Most of the time people move their eyes to look at something, not just their head.
