Is there some bug that's causing you problems or do you mean the editor being a clunky piece of shit in general?
Improving the editor is definitely on my to-do list, but atm I'm focusing on fixing the netcode (which is progressing nicely btw, now it's got proper lag compensation and the bandwidth consumption is a fraction of what it used to be).
i think it's to do with how you made items duplicate when placing, which is really convenient for wire and doors and buttons but not for labels and ladders, which should be in structures if you ask me
Can you tell us some of your future plans for the game? I've really been enjoying it but it's rather barebones.

Will jobs and access play more of a role later on?

also can you add an option to disable caves in level generation and just have an empty level with a ceiling? or increase the width of caves would also work for me. i'm making a stationary base but when i try play it, half the base spawns inside rocks
Yes to pretty much all of those. I don't think there will be that much new content (items, more fleshed out game modes or jobs) for a while, because rewriting the netcode will still take time and there's a ton of other stuff that I think are higher priority than new content. Such as Linux and Mac ports: the porting process will keep getting harder the bigger the game gets.
Fixing the level generation so that the sub/station can't spawn inside a wall would be another option, but yeah, some more settings for the level generation would definitely be useful as well.

Regalis, I have difficulty taking screenshots of my game. I also think the game would benefit from more official screenshots or webm's of interesting action. I have trouble advertising the game in threads and have to resort to long winded description s of game play.

Definitely, and maybe a trailer and some better gameplay videos. I haven't really put any effort in that kind of stuff yet and I'm not sure whether it's even needed this early in development.
I find it difficult to bring my sub to a complete hault with the way the nav console works, hard to find the sweet spot. Maybe a button on the nav ui to make the sub automatically adjust the engines amd ballast so the sub can come to a full halt
Also I hate to admit it, but railguns on some maps I've made dont actually need to be connected to a power supply for them to work.
