Reminder that Code Talker watched Venom and Quiet bang
So I'm convinced that the patch destroyed my singleplayer AI.
I entered a Combat Alert at Shago Kallai five minutes ago, and all the soldiers are doing kneeling down behind cover.
One of them radioed in almost immediately that they'd lost sight of me and are moving to my last known position, but they never move. They're still just kneeling in a permanent Combat Alert.
how the fuck are you people leveling so quick
someone last thread was already level 20 AFTER ascending once
WHAT the FUCK
There's many things in MGO that can make a it a lot easier to level. At lower levels its the Walker Gears. You can easily get at least 4 kills when you're on one. After a while you get better skills, like fulton speed and shit that makes the things that give higher experience easier to accomplish. Oncey ou get the Fulton Cannon shit is ez fam
>tfw missing mgo2 so badly before now
>tfw missing it even more afterwards
just end me. I had so much fun back then it was outrageous..
>Dead Mother Base
>Multiplayer lacks charm
>No peace day
MGO3 might as well be Call of Duty in third-person with sneaking. Kill things, get a high until you die, or get stuck in a rut of pain and repeatedly dying because of something that catches you off-guard, CQCs you or just lag kills you somehow. There's no actual working for Skills, they just unlock naturally as you level up a Class. There's no reason to use custom loadouts except for gimmicky setups because the unlocks for customs are stretched apart ridiculously thin - and attachments are level-up based too, rather than actually using the weapons.
This is somehow worse and more barebones than fucking Call of Duty 4 from 2007.
Why does Venom stand still like a retard whenever he faces Volgin?
So uh, how about those Digitalus (Lutea) locations?
MGO3 came out three fucking days ago, you fucking retard
MGO2 was utter trash at first until it got updates and a shitload of patches>>118585706
YOu're up there with the /v/-tier 'now that the dust has settled' idiots
MGO2 was better in most ways. The only 'fixes' that were good in a sense are headshots not being insta-kills and no more cardboard box hitbox fuckery. Otherwise the Gear system, the Loadouts, the Classes, the weak maps, Infiltrators and their Stealth Camo, insta-KO CQC and almost-worthless Enforcers basically make this a colossal fuck-up.
There were only a few things that I liked about TPP, Paz story among them.
What went on during development I wonder.
Did Kojima fuck up?
Was the dev team being lead by moneygrabbing suits that know nothing about game development?
Was it all done deliberately ?
Theres a petition on change org to port mgo2 to ps4, obviously sli mchance of it happening. But maybe if mgs4 ever gets put on ps4 they will open up the multiplayer too?
At the very least its a fuck you to KPLA.
Also funny as fuck that Konamis favorite child (bonus content we never got, full customer service as opposed to our automated one on our ddos plagued server) in the mgo2 days is telling them they fucked up.
you can find the link @ NEED_MGO2
>Blaming the Japs shit writing on westerners
Guess what each list is based on.
My guess is pretty simple. Kojima was planning on MGSV taking a lot longer, which is why he had Silent Hills on the side as a major project as well. Then Ground Zeroes got rushed out last year because Konami wanted Metal Gear in 2014, end of story. He pissed off the CEO and finally crossed the budgetary line, and they tore down Silent Hills and his contract in response, forcing Kojima and his team to probably have to hastily rewrite and cut down on numerous things to meet a hasty release schedule while simultaneously getting little time to work on fully finishing the content. Especially when it came to making sure the game was optimized.
Now that's just all conjecture that could be completely and utterly wrong. But it's the most I can really figure seeing as a lot of the ambitions people were paranoid about turned out to be unfulfilled in the long term, and it makes sense to me. Kojima probably got too big for his britches and didn't think Konami would stomp his foot when he got out of hand.
reminder that underage avatarfaggots like >>118586016 can and should be reported for avatarfagging, it's not allowed nor wanted here, nobody wants to see the exact same shitty samefag face "waifus" of faggots that play with autoaim on
Could you imagine how the game would have been if Kojima didn't get fired? Maybe the taboo he was trying to break was making profit off of a video game.
Headshots in mgo2 being 1 hit kill made the game skill based and competitive. Everything being level in height let you win with aim. You did not see new players getting kills on people because theyd be headshotted too fast. Also there were invincibility frames which made spraying the body worthless.
There is an in depth damage analysis for mgo2, from that we know the weapon damages are similar to mgo3, but mgo2 had the i-frames which stopped spraying from working out for you.
It was designed to be a headshot oriented game.
In mgo3, 2 people 1v1ing results in both dying. Whats skillful about that?
The great cuckening with /mgg/ tonight was kewl
MGO was rather bare bones at the start, but most mechanics were extremely well polished.
Compare that to the pointless class system, to the horrendous interface of the radio messages
The lack of chatbox
The lack of custom created rooms, with an extensive customization options
The lack of gamemodes that were already there beforehand
The lack of maps, which I can't tell if its excusable or not since the dev team for MGO was completely separate one from TPP
The lack of basic features like the choice to choose servers from your own country
Bloated leveling system
There are plenty of issues, MGO2 was a clusterfuck at the start, but some of the shit in 3 is just inexcusable.
>No camera which was a thing since MGS1
>Can't fill the chopper with our own pics
>changed his writing in TPP.
His overly-ambitious vision of TPP made the change in the first place. He took his sweet little time taking tenths of millions of dollars and Konami had enough of it. And don't forget, it was western influence that Metal Gear was born in the first place.
Call me and a lot of other people casuals, then, because it's the same kind of stuff that happens with Smash Bros Melee - a game that gets too filled with skillful players that can utterly destroy anyone not comparable in skill level tends to piss people off and turn potential newcomers to a community away. And there's a difference between noticing an opponent, and firing high with an assault rifle in burst-firing to take someone down with a hopeful headshot; and a player switching repeatedly in and out of a cardboard box to make sure their head can't be hit easily as they instantly pop out, memorize where the center of the camera will be when they aim, fire out a single bullet and instantly pop you in a second flat.
That's only fun for the skilled player. But the skilled player will just say to the noob he tore apart, "git gud," regardless of whether the noob was a retarded little shit or a genuine player with a real criticism and complaint.
>Konami would never make a competitor to their own service
While MGO2 was still in full-gear, Konami released Metal Gear Arcade on console and in arcades.
>especially with the fact that it would cost a bunch of money to port it over.
The game reused maps from mgo2.
Obviously they like to cash grab, and with as little new content as possible.
KojiProLa was only in charge of development of MGO3, I believe.
I can't see it in any other way, 5 years and everything feels rushed.
From the dialogues in cutscenes to the gameplay feeling like it just the cornerstones of something bigger.
I just get my doubts since the industry as a hole went down the shitter, and I'm not sure if Kojima would just go with the flow of shipping out a half-assed product since the masses will eat it up anyways.
I'm looking for a definite answer just to lay it all to rest.
If I fulton somebody when my base is full what happens? I'm at a point where I should probably start prioritizing fultons and looking more carefully at who I'm keeping on my base but I'm worried I'm trying to micromanage it too much and wasting a ton of time for little-no gain.
Any suggestions or tips on criteria on who to fulton? I can't figure out what good elites are, and if I'm not mistaken (probably am), specialists are the ones who will offer bonuses if stationed on a certain platform? So if I see a specialist, and his stats are still shit, should I Just ignore him?
>MGO3 is shit
>No it's not git gud
>MGSV:TPP was rushed
>Its open world is shit and boring
>lel lok at my gayposts guise XD
>lel look at my MGO3 waifu guise XD
Ok, now that that's out of the way, does any one know any good spots to find some Digitalus Lutea?
Judging from leaks that may or may not be true within Konami itself, Kojima is as much a perfectionist as he's always been. He had like, what, eleven different drafts done at least of Quiet's Theme or some other song in the game? And because he just wanted the game to be the absolute, most perfect thing it can be, alongside FOX Engine, and with Silent Hills also eating up tremendous amounts of money..
Well, Konami bared their teeth and forced Kojima to throw out probably one of his most flawed games ever. The reviews were all intentionally played up thanks to being from a 40 hour bootcamp where few could even plausibly beat the game when playing it mostly-blind, much less form a full review opinion, but after the release and the review high.. Everyone tore it a new one.
I can only imagine what Kojima's feeling.
It wasn't like that, though. Maybe if you stuck with it you'd see what i mean (maybe you did, but a lot of old reviews talked like you and also said they didnt play much). The skill curve was there dont get me wrong, but the only place you truly would not have a chance after getting average was survival and tourneys where the best players were organised into their clans and teams.
Also the box popping actually died after 2011, i forget if it was a patch, but it was hardly prevalent outside of those direct 1v1 confrontations you might run into. Regardless it was just a mechanic, when you trained your thumb to keep your aim centered while moving it sideways headshots became easy. The box let equal players express more skill in 1v1 shootouts.
Also yeah the flame was strong with some players, its the adrenaline.
Just run around in Africa with D-Dog you mong. And send people on combat deployments.
The fact that you don't have literally all the Lutea you could ever need and more means you suck at looking.
I asked some modders in the Nexus to check something but they're lazy and don't want to do it.
In the early trailers showing gameplay for TPP you could see that Venom Snake was using his Sneaking Suit but he had the REAL MSF emblem as his custom one.
The thing is, this emblem looks like the real deal with the stitching textures applied.
I hate the way custom emblems look on the sneaking suit so I was wondering if the PC version had this texture hidden somewhere in the files.
I'd rather play with this suit that has the real stitching look to the emblem.
Can somebody please look through the game files and try and find it? Maybe even make a mod for it to replace the vanilla Sneaking Suit?
Unfortunately I was only around for a while during 2010/2011, didn't even get to purchase the expansions and mostly just played a lot of games without dabbling in Ranked since I got my ass torn to shreds. Also had an impressive number of kicks because i'd mess with a shotgun, or bring CQC+ into a match without even actually hunting players down with it. I was never a professional player and I missed a lot of the game's lifespan, but that's more than I can say for MGO1, which I completely missed since I had dial-up back then
and by the time I could play it my brother stole my network adapter for his PS2 HDD that he intended for Final Fantasy XI and then only kept around as a giant memory card ever after
It hurts, mate. I hate pointing fingers and to throw accusations around, I hope Kojima finds a new place to work soon just so that he can do something without getting fucked over by corporate greed.
I wonder how high the chance of us getting insider leaks is.
There 2 behind the abandoned village in Africa, haven't found them anywhere else.
To add to using box being a valid mechanic, it allowed some players to use what was otherwise considered an unviable weapon as a high-skill ceiling playstyle. The mosin nagant.
Keep in mind MGO had worse lag issues at launch and they never fixed the dead body glitch, but we haven't had enough time to find the best glitch in MGO3.
Give it til the end of the weekend until someone figures out how to exploit the game. They netcode is very similar if not the exact same as MGO2.
>If you don't have well over a fucking thousand Lutea you aren't fucking trying.
They're rated as very rare and I've literally only seen two plants, one progressing through the Main Ops, and one in free roam.
>realize I'm shit at the game
>can't finish the mission with the skulls after getting codetalker
i hate myself
When you rescue the child soldiers. He smiles for a few times in the cutscene
Most of the complaints are that the game is worse than other Metal Gear games, the online component significantly so and that it feels incomplete, not outright saying that it's a bad game.
Stay butthurt, fag.
I did this in MGO today. Had no idea it was even possible.
I'm at 51% in TPP but after beating Sally Hungrypus I just lost the will to keep going.
Will ther ebe more interesting missions?
I haven't even started the "To Know Too Much" mission since I feel like the climax is over and the regret will kick in.
I dont understand how people are so fucking awful at this game. I just watched my buddy stare at the enemy interrogating me for 10 seconds before the enemies teammate shot me and then the guy that was holding me shot my buddy in the face
I'm having some kind of glitch where at some point while I'm playing my GMP goes way down. Like when I turn it on i have like 4 mil GMP and then I'll be out on the field and I'll have like 1.7
When I close the game and reopen it it goes back to what it was.
I'm on PS4. Anyone else having this issue?
>All other teammates have been eliminated. You must
>Manage to slip through to the disc location
>Don't run; just hide and wait for the nearest shitter
>They're scrambling around and I can see them all over the mini-map
>Slam one to the ground
>Slid right through their ranks
>That feeling when I drop the disc onto the evac point
>That feeling when my entire team just watched me win the match for them
i'd be right happy to
Would you do some leg stretches with quiet /mgg/?
So i'm bored after completing the game (fuck S ranks, side-ops and all the animals), figure I might as well do a replay with some mods to dick around. And then the newest Konami V.LOG for MGS5 had me think-
"Wait, why does the Japanese VA for Snake have various lines when starting a sortie, compared to Keifer just having the same grunt? .. Didn't people say there were extra lines or something in Japan-only?"
Now i'm curious as to how to change the language to Japanese while keeping the English text (I think it's via going into game properties and changing it to Jap but keeping my game text in English via its own settings), but would this have problems with my current save? And would it force me to reinstall my mods?
I just realized something. Are squads/clans not in anymore? Yet another thing mgo shitters removed from the game?
just realized that i need to make my medic look like that
No need for explosives or bullet hoses. Bring a Brennan or a Serval and rape them raw with its penetration bar, four shots apiece. Slap a no-magnification red dot on it and fire in first person, though, because follow-up shots from the hip are measured in days of arc.
F-Fuck, you were in that /v/ thread too?
If you don't play the game for a long time and don't have DD as a buddy in the ACC then when you go to Mother Base DD will jump on you Fred Flintstone style and Ocelot will say he missed you while you were away.
When your base is full and you Fulton new people, they'll be automatically assigned to a team and whoever's the worst member of that team will be sent to the waiting room. I think people with direct contracts won't be sent to the waiting room even if they're the worst on the team.
I'm shocked there isn't a nude mod for quiet at this point. How is that not a thing someone would have jumped on immediately? Maybe I fail to understand the complexity of modding this game, though.
Same happened to me only the roles were switched with me being the interrogator.
I killed a guy who just ran past me while I interrogated his teammate.
I noticed myself that I have trouble seeing others, dark places seem to dark, and that transition from light to dark places and vice versa fucks with brightness in an unnatural way.
And markers above enemy heads are to fucking distracting, I can barely see their heads when they are marked.
If you have to waifu fag, at least talk about the superior one
Ocelot isn't wrong you know. Venom was the only Snake around at that time.
It's the 90s when Solid gets the code name and he promptly kills off Venom. Then Liquid gets it when he joins FOXHOUND after Solid fucked off to Alaska so there was only one Snake until Solid came back and killed Liquid.
Liquid then became an Ocelot and Solid died on the tanker so Solidus became the only Snake. Raiden then kills off Solidus leaving Solid's phantom.
Then Solid's phantom kills off Big Boss once and for all and the Snakes die.
>at least talk about the superior one
big boss is CUTE!
I really really hope they do.
How else am I gonna have shenanigans with you nerds.
Well I don't expect this mod to be well made really, looks like he removed the straps from the bra though, so all he has to do is draw nipples and paint the thong a skin color really.
The thong is part of the mesh, and the bra only stops being part of the actual body at the straps.
Don't expect anything fantastic, /mgg/ expect some wonky looking textures and weird ass.
Alright fellas I got a bunch of questions here
1.Willing clanning come back?
2. Can we expect more outfits like in MGO 2?
3. What is the best class? Would buffs/nerfs be expected at all?
4. How can you delete/change the class of your slot 1 character?
People really don't remember how shit MGO2 was in the beginning so armed with that nostalgia is makes MGO3 look worse. Same thing happened with Civ 5 where everyone was comparing it to Beyond the Sword instead of launch Civ 4.
Launch MGO2 was fucking atrocious. Konami account bullshit, lag so bad it was hard to play people outside your city, limited choices of attire, buggy hit boxes, practically no maps, only Snake as a unique character, and crazy ass glitches.
MGO2 didn't really get good until the second expansion.
Now of course MGO3 might never get that far considering the current state of Konami.
But there was obviously no rewriting. With the exception of Eli's arc, the entire story IS in the game. The circle is closed.
But after Chapter 1, ONLY the the story is in the game! What's missing is more main missions that would have gradually given us the story, instead of getting cutscenes between side ops and then suddenly 43-45-46 basically being plot dumped in succession with no breathing room for the events to sink in.
The average casual player (not us) is probably going to lose Quiet before getting her new costumes. They'll see "we'll make our dead comrades into diamonds and wear them into battle" and then their next mission is 46 so they'll get to see Venom with a glowing shoulder one time in the ACC before their game is over.
I actually like the story a lot. Chapter 2's structure just doesn't give you enough time to take it in. And honestly, I'd still probably have been happy if the chapter was called "Epilogue" and 51 was included, even if it's scale was reduced greatly. Just throw Sahelanthropus somewhere in Africa and do it that way, the cutscenes were even mostly done for it.
Can somebody with an unmolested Phantom Pain post a pic of their master folder? I've been throwing so much shit around here and there so I can't tell the requisite files from the bloat.
I'D REALLY APPRECIATE IT FAM
Was this scene in the game at all? I don't remember seeing it in GZ or TPP.
>tfw my gay shit gets more coverage than my not-gay shit.
What is this bizzaro world I'm in. Maybe I should just go full bara.
>Now i'm curious as to how to change the language to Japanese while keeping the English text (I think it's via going into game properties and changing it to Jap but keeping my game text in English via its own settings), but would this have problems with my current save? And would it force me to reinstall my mods?
This is how you do it, change it to Japanese.
It's counted as a separate game, so it will require a complete redownload (and you can't backup your game folder, going back to English will require redownloading again) and saves are not compatible between the two.
Guys, I know this sounds "Iroquois Plissken is Solid Snake" levels of crazy, but I think this mysterious masked man might be Skull Face, or at least someone related to him. Look at the color and texture of his skin, compare the voice, it's actually pretty similar.
Sprinting, health regen, body shot centric, everything stuns in one hit, one way progression, prestiging.
The game itself is a casual experience and no patch will change that or affect its longevity.
What? Any team worth a shit just 5v6s with 1 dead body guy running behind enemy lines and CQCing them down
There was also the lagswitch de-sync.
Anyways, I think we can all agree E-Locs should be worth 10pts per enemy marked, not 50. Or they shouldn't give any points at all.
Then we can have them mark stealthed enemies.
>MGS2 having the best story
It was left unfinished (2deep4u :^)), and then when he finally decided to finish it, we got 4. Enough said there.
>We'll never have remakes of MG1 and 2 with Big Boss or Venom Snake or whoever the hell it is voiced by Keifer Sutherland and Solid Snake voiced by David Hayter
>"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was critically acclaimed upon release, with its gameplay drawing praise for featuring a variety of mechanics and interconnected systems which allow a high degree of player freedom in approaching objectives. While the story drew criticism from a few reviewers for its lack of focus, others acknowledged its emotional power and exploration of mature themes. The game received perfect review scores from several publications, including Famitsu, Gamespot and IGN, and was described by some as the greatest game in the Metal Gear series."
Why do PC gamers get the shaft?
>no gold weapons
>no tiger stripe box
>no costume DLC to tide us over until MGO
>no bionic arm to make lewd videos with
Almost. When I first saw him I just assume he was a little loli ginger.
shota is fine too
The entire launch was literally one gigantic smokescreen thanks to Konami using a reviewer bootcamp, where they had to play the game from the start for a little under 2 days, to make their full and final reviews. Keep in mind most of the really negative opinions start trailing in once Chapter 2 ends and the player truly sees past the smoke and mirrors to realize how much bullshit it has as it all falls apart.
And we all bought it.
So, I'm at 715K heroism. Before the latest update, with 695K heroism, S rank soldiers were still kinda scarce; would never see anything above S rank.
Now, I see quite a lot of S+ soldiers and a shit ton of S rank, yet at Staff Management, they're just a bit higher than S rank, not even classified as S+.
Even when I extract S+ staff during missions, the extractions results shows them as simply S.
Is my game bugged? Playing on roommate's
XBONEYeah, I know.
David Hayter is washed up, he sucks at doing snakes voice now.
MGS1 was his golden days
He wasn't so great in 4 and terrible in peacewalker
Getting Richard Doyle back for Big Boss and using Keifer or someone new for Solid Snake would be the best possibility
Doyle is getting pretty old though
Everybody wants to be a nigger but nobody wants to be a nigger.
The latest update increased the number of Boasters, and also fixed the Boaster skill.
So you see those S and S+ ranks?
They're just A+ and A++ ranks.
Actually, they had a week to play it, 9-5 daily. To quote Forbes:
>Does this mean that game journalists were duped, or that Metal Gear Solid 5 is actually a terrible game? Hardly! Game review events are nothing new in the industry, and it’s something you can learn how to do without compromising too much of the actual gameplay experience. And no amount of controlled environment can mask an actually bad game.
Most reviews even talked about Chapter 2's grind issues. It just wasn't enough of an issue for them to think it hurt the game. You don't agree? That's fine, reviews don't exist to validate your opinion.
>That means "Lying sack of shit"
I thought that meant was meant to confuse people on FOBs. Never was sure on that though.
Either way, I've fultoned some without the boaster skill and I still won't see them as S+. Shit, now I have to go back and check if they weren't all boasters.
How was the boaster skill "broken" to begin with?
Thanks for the input anons.
>Just get someone new for Solid instead of Hayter.
Exactly, someone younger, who could theoretically come back for more games after that if they wanted to use Solid more. Don't even try to impersonate Hayter when he was good, just make a new Young Solid.
Please, no! Don't shoot it!
Anyone have any ideas?
I just logged in again this time didn't log into the server and i had less than a million and I hadn't spent any GMP in between
Boaster originally kind of didn't do anything. They only meant anything when you had the low level scope that couldn't show skills so interrogating guys to find out "specialists" could get you Boasters, who weren't really specialists. Once you had higher level scope, what you saw was what they really were.
Now they actually bullshit about their stats, and it's the devil at end game when you hit the roster hard limits.
>How was the boaster skill "broken" to begin with?
Originally when you saw a Boaster he had really high stats, the Boasters were almost always the only S Ranks because they were lying.
When you fultoned them, they were SUPPOSED to show their true skill, but it didn't actually show it,.
So you fulton that S rank Boaster and you saw he was still an S rank despite the Boaster skill.
People thought "Oh I guess this is an FOB-only skill then.
They were wrong and now Boasters lie to you in singleplayer mode too.
It's just a little view of how Kaz used to be in the Peace Walker days, before the destruction of Mother Base and MSF turned him in an raging, paranoid shell of his former self.
It's kind of why after Shining Lights Kaz admits Venom showed him the whole vengeance thing was wrong.
Oh, I see what they're trying to do, and that just sounds dickishly awful. It's a pain leveling up MB after LVL 75 on all units except Security. I'll be more cautious with these fucks. Thanks again for explaining, both of you.
It's not a PW thing, it's TPP. There's series of tapes called "The Hamburgers of Kazuhira Miller" that talk of Miller's entry to the burger business. They're great, it's just a shame there isn't more of this silliness in TPP.
>playing around after clearing missions
>trying to gather some animals
>check staff screen
>Huey is back
whats to be afraid of?
Did the dislike for Hayter start with PW? Did you guys really dislike his performance in 1-4? I mean I get that the voice is cheesy, but still.
I know that he's been making some stupid tweets, but that shouldn't really matter.
Prepare the brig! Ocelot wants to try new techniques on him!
Boaster doesn't inflate the top stat more than a single rank. It's fine to Fulton S+ Boasters.
>Playing around after clearing missions and replaying some
>Check staff screen
>Quiet is back
>But not as a buddy
What would you guys rate mgo3 out of? I would have to give it an 8 or 7 out of 10. It could use more features, gamemodes, and basic multiplayer settings. I also dislike the cod style leveling.
So am I stuck with this guy forever? Him and Silent Basilisk.
Also I just did the Honeybee mission again, hoping that Silent Basilisk guy would be replaced with a higher rank clone of himself.
He's still a shitty C rank.
Am I fucked forever with this guy in the waiting room?
It's almost like she wasn't trying to and wanted to be captured or something
Just a meme, bandwagon faggots are parroting each other.
Hayter was never bad, his voice wasn't meant to be heavenly and emotional, he was supposed to have that iconic voice you would always recognize.
now people are like "Oh i understand him now Keifer is way better!! What? Kojima is a hack LOL! Yeah!"
>Her head turns a little bit up when Venom touches her shoulder
PW was more like the final straw after he'd been going downhill for a long time.
I think his last legitimately good game was MGS2, in MGS3 he's slipping towards self parody but the tone of the game covers it up, MGS4 is a laughably bad "old man voice" but the miserable tone of the game again kind of covers it.
After that, his bad performances just get inexcusable. PW is his worst, and it really stands out because almost everyone else is real good around him. He outright ruins two of the games biggest dramatic moments.
somebody host a room on ps4 so we can get all the cool shit fast
The dude got shafted pretty hard by a company/boss he\s had 10+ years of history with. Any of you fuckers would want an explanation too. He, at the very least, was decently quiet about it, kept writing his shitty movies, and moved on. He even appeared in some other games and shit. He still does great Snake impressions at cons and shit so he could clearly do it again. But it aint never gonna happen because "Lol Kojima" got kicked to the curb.
I've been doing the whole puppet soldier farming on the mission where you rescue Codetalker. You know, take out 3 of the Skulls so the remaining one keeps the soldiers in their puppet state. Extracting puppet soldiers will give them medals, which will raise their stats a bit, thus A++ soldiers might reach S.
I'm tempted to boot up the game and see if I can farm S+ soldiers, hopefully without the boaster skill. My last run, I only extracted both S+ and S and the results yielded at least 98% of them S rank. I guess it's not that bad, still it was kinda suspicious seeing a shit ton of S+ all of a sudden.
If you get an A++ rank minimum, they will be brought up to S rank with the zombie medal and 3-mission medal easy.
I just hate how it's Africa only so you run the risk of Kikongo speakers.
>She smiles the whole way as she slaughters dozens of Russians
Hayters performance was great in 1 and still pretty ok in 2-3, however he wasn't so great in 4 and his performance in peacewalker was pretty shit.
It didn't really come off as cheesy at all in mgs1
now compare that with his performance in peacewalker, you can decide for yourself
All this time I had my game on high setting instead of Extra high. I feel genuinely retarded.
Hayter was not offered the job, he wasn't fired, he wasn't looked over at the office, he wasn't even disrespected, he just wasn't offered the job. This idea that Hayter is somehow a victim is ridiculous, they went in another direction and people started blowing him up like it was a Hip-Hop battle and dude got lit the fuck up.
On top of all that Hayter has gone about this '#PerformanceMatters" shtick like a dickhead too. I can understand anyone wanting to be paid well for doing what they do, but that's not what their movement is after. They already get paid 150+ and hour for doing next to nothing, now they want royalties as well as a pay raise, fuckign ridiculous.
Holy fucking shit C&D and BH is literally impossible because of shit team mates
I always thought his voice was too cheesy, and it bothered me more as I played more of the games and got more interested in the story.
Hey, I feel bad for him, he seems like a good guy, and I appreciate that he loves his work so much, I just think he needs acting lessons.
A significant part of being an actor is finding new work. Sometimes you get called back and sometimes you don't. Playing a role isn't permanent, day-to-day work. It's Hayter's fault that he couldn't make connections and find a job outside of Metal Gear.
>The dude got shafted pretty hard by a company/boss he\s had 10+ years of history with. Any of you fuckers would want an explanation too.
He got one. Instead of taking it with dignity, he decided to make a public spectacle of himself.
Like on what world do you consider what he did "decently quiet" about it? He literally tried to organize a push to force Konami to give him the role back and in at least one interview openly said he was entitled to the role as long as Ohtsuka held it in Japan.
Dude had a massively inflated view of his place, and Kojima and everyone else refusing to even talk about him was them being polite about the guy embarrassing himself.
>Receiving royalties for a character you voice
Hayter always bothered me because even though it worked in MGS1 the subsequent games had everyone around him getting better and putting in more nuanced performances. Not incredible performances mind you but certainly leagues better than Hayter.
Fuck man I ended up playing MGS4 in Japanese just for that Akio because he was so good in it.
How in the hell are you still fussing over Kikongo when you're already past Code Talker?
If it's because Miller raises a fuss, Retake the Platform is a good place to recruit. Mosquito exclusively hires Europeans and Afrikaners.
Almost every localized game has cheesy voice acting though especially the earlier ones, it's no excuse, but Metal Gear's is better than most. Otacon/Huey's voice is cheesy too, you've just gotten used to it.
>build a nuke
>suddenly become a demon
>read online I had to dismantle 10 nukes in order to lose enough demon points and get back to normal again
>invade tons of base
>steals 12 nukes
>game refuses to count more than half the nukes I stole
>proceed to steal another 8 nukes
>finally "undemon" myself
>can't find enemy base
>can't find enemy base
>can't find enemy base
Jesus Christ, I knew high ranked people were skilled, but I can't stop getting my platforms raped. I've tried every possible defense setup, and now I ran out of fucking good soldiers to defend them.
What's the best defense setup?
>He's touching my cheeks
>He's putting his leg in between mine
>Oh god he's leaning forward!
Kikongo just left a bad taste in my mouth.
Makes my soldiers look dirty.
I don't mind the other African languages like Zulu, Ndele, and Lingala, but Kikongo is something I DO NOT want anymore.
I turned Mosquito into a cute girl using Cheat Engine.
You do realize that you posted a guy who voiced pretty much everything and had a great contract right? Something that agents get you.
Why should VAs get royalties for games when only the top 5% of actors in film and television can? And usually royalties are done by lowering your upfront payment.
They want royalties guaranteed, plus they want to work even less time a day, and they want the ability to restrict who game companies can hire and make it impossible for game companies to fire them once hired or fine them for wasting time and fucking up.
I don't remember him being that much different in PW to be honest, that speech is pretty bad, but I like to be naive and think that >>118590698 is onto something and that they've could've gotten a better take. I should replay it.
Why the fuck is there not a cutscene viewer when half of the cutscenes can never be seen again once you've seen them?
How about you patch this in Konami and not your stupid fucking insurance?
I used Long Range (Lethal) and the invaders were unable to escape my sniper fire from cross platforms.
>New VA announced
>People complain about the people complaining claiming that former VA was shit in the previous installment
>Which is true to some extent
>More people come in see others shitting on the VA and join in
>Facts get twisted
>People claim he was always shit
>Past performances are claimed to be nothing but a fluke
>People propagate what they hear without putting any thought into the subject whatsoever
Solidus wanted to end this kind of shit.
>mfw Mosquito appears in Ground Zeroes when MB gets BTFO.
Mosquito is a pretty cool guy.
I had one dude invade mine and wasn't even upset, just impressed he made it. I also once managed to invade my own during practice. FOBs actually have some fucking great design.
So i'm trying to clean up after the main story, trying to 100% my side ops, and old missions keep unchecking themselves.
I'm assuming this is what is supposed to happen?
>they tend to have some concept of objective based modes
>a majority of the user base has no idea how game modes works other than capture the point
>a majority of C&D games are run and gun, usually lasts 2-3 minutes
You're a fucking idiot if you believe this
I'm now imagining a loli in MSF kit with that 'MOSQUITO!!' scrawled on the back of her vest. It's adorable.
>What's the best defense setup?
Backing up your save files.
>Why should VAs get royalties for games when only the top 5% of actors in film and television can
>implying someone like John Leguizamo is top in the 5% of anything
That just means you can do them again. They're still marked as completed for the sake of your percentage, but this way they aren't locked out permanently
What's more, if you complete them again, they'll unlock the upper tier missions again, which means you aren't fucked out of hijacking high-end soldiers and tanks
It's actually pretty clever. Too bad most of them are so fuckign repetitive
Are you on ps3?
Please respond, at least we can suffer together then.
