>tfw nobody to slowly play through SotFS with killing bosses and exploring the world
Yeah, you fancy grouping up? I just blew my friends off to stay in and play.
I think this is the only way. And let's be honest, what do backstabs really add to the game anyway?
It's just an unnecessary feature that screws up the balance between PvE and PvP
they are there, but not as much as /v/ shitposts for. They go for max anal devestation, most of the ones I have found are at the Forest and Oolacile.
That being said, its dead as fuck now so good luck finding anyone on pc DaS1 on anything but a weekend.
Depends on which ones. I made a faith guy who used the Heide lance and he did pretty well. I've heard that Yorgh's spear is pretty good, but you'll have to beat pretty much all of Shulva (except for ye olde gank squad) to get to it.
I don't really mess around with polearms though, someone else might be able to help you more.
Is DS2:Scholar of the First Sin worth $20? I think it is on Gamersgate and think it redeems on Steam. Dark Souls 1 is one of my favorite games of all time but think I need to give 2 another shot.
has anyone gotten codes for the DaS3 test?
i'm hoping that my crippling anxiety is wrong
>Sucking all around
>Decide to go take on Quelaag since I need to actually try for progress
>Bait her around and whittle down with close range arrow shows
>She has a sliver of health left
>Decide to try for style points
>Roll back, break lock-on, and swing up right as she gets on top of me and starts her chaos blade thing that would one-shot me
>Manage to get her right in the eye
And that revitalized me after the Catacombs ground me down.
Go for it.
At the very least you can bullshit around in the online since it doesn't take an hour to connect to people.
DaS1 is nearly as active as Scholar but the game seems barren.
Are steam keys from there actually legitimate? I've heard of people losing access to games after buying from third party distributors, but that's a pretty good price and I'd kind of like to move off of PS3 to PC since the game seems pretty dead on PS3.
>300 hours or so in DS1
>50 hours in DS2, but never completed the game
>Just did a no-death challenge run in DS1
>Friend asks me to do the same with him in DS2
>Die repeatedly, all the time. Can't get past pursuer.
Please, how do I git gud. I start with the bandit class for the low caster stats, and grab the halberd as my first real weapon, but I'm getting pummeled at every turn. I can't dodge for shit, even though I had no issues with that in DS1. What's happening /vg/?
>I start with the bandit class
You have the fewest iframes it's possible to have in the game. Bandit starts with like 6. You can avoid most attacks, but you've gotta have that shit down.
Best to just level ADP.
>get summoned by a cheater
>even cheaters need summons
I'm going to play some Demon souls, maybe I'll beat it.
Wish me luck
I FUCKING HATE BED OF CHAOS
Even knowing how to beat it easily doesn't help with getting to its heart, its pure fucking luck whether or not it decides to start a flame attack while your in mid air and knock you into the pit
How the fuck did this boss ever get past QC?
Absolutely not, the last time I compared their Steam stats there were like 10x more people playing SotFS than vanilla DS2. PtDE is almost as active as Scholar but since the matchmaking is ass you never see anybody until some faggot invariably invades you in Anor Londo.
I'm only 29 and no where near the end.
Whenever I hit that point though I'll post in the thread, hopfully you'll see it.
Depends. If you do all the optional bosses before killing all the Great Souls and properly explore all the regions, there's a pretty good chance you're gonna go over 1M before going to Drangleic. But if you don't, you're generally at this level >>119045675
>How the fuck did this boss ever get past QC?
Deadlines man. Bed of Chaos was originally going to be a real boss not a puzzle boss (there are unused assets for it as an actual boss.) Most likely they realized they weren't going to get it done in time, came up with a quick solution and couldn't finish it in time to do any fine tuning so out the door it went.
Facestabs happen, but they are easy to avoid. The thing is, all you need to do is to roll away a little before they start backstab punch. On their screen, you should take lag into account. So as long as you can predict when your opponent is fishing (which is very easy in random duels) you can escape them.
>That explains why the game is STILL FUCKING FULL PRICE FUCK
It's probably full price because they don't want new players to go with the DX9 version to save some money. Presumably the only reason it's still up at all is that they don't want to lose the sales of people who want to play on a toaster.
That still doesn't excuse the spammy cheapness of it
Surely it wouldn't have been that difficult to alter its AI so it doesn't hit when you get to the log
I've got there six times now, four of those times it started an attack that's hit my when I land and the other two times it instantly flame pillar that was impossible to avoid on the really small area you have to maneuver
Even if they didn't want to do that they could have easily put a bonfire before the boss fog so i don't have to either run all the way from Queelag's sister or run through the lava past the half dragon things every time I get killed by bullshit
I actually don't like how defined the blade is.
Most Soul Sorceries, especially the ones in Des and Das1 are basically a collection of swirling energy vaguely wrested into a desired shape. DS3's Soul Greatsword is so well shaped, it looks odd to me.
Think of it like the blade of the Moonlight sword from Demon's Souls, which was basically just energy.
Holy shit, I'm using magic for the first time in Demon Souls, holy shit is it strong.
Is it this good in all the Souls game?
I'm finding trouble thinking of a reason to have been using melee this whole time
>charged r2s with followup attacks
>unique running r1, r2 and backstep r1, r2
>unique transformation and post-transformation attacks which can be used for baiting
>viable l2 on all weapons that have a 2h transform mode
>better movesets on every types of weapons, even greathammer is fast as fuck and can be devastating if used correctly
>well-though elemental and physical resist system for almost all enemies, weapons can be fine-tuned to increase only one type of damage to insane proportions (steak driver with charge gems, rifle spear with thrusting gems, wheel with arcane or blunt gems, tonitrus with nourishing gems, etc)
>special properties on weapons like serrated and blessed (which were present in ds1 but only here made truly valuable, especially serrated which is a 20% damage boost against beasts)
>strong as fuck consumables, there's no useless items, stuff like beast blood pellets or shaman blade are extremely powerful if used right
>can only carry 1 vial of special healing items so you can't stack blood of adella which is pretty much an elizabeth's mushroom of the game
>coop matchmaking between any level with stat scaling depending on host's level
>invasions have an invasion level cap, you won't invade a BL500 with BL30 character
>invasion item can be bought in very beginning and is infinite, no SM, easiest ganks in series
The only good thing from DS2 that BB lacks is respec option. In every single BB is just better, and that includes pvp as well which is although not as deep as ds1 pvp, not a laggy overly "balanced" snoozefest of the second game.
I get where you're coming from and I liked how the old versions looked like a big chunk of magic you forced into shape, but the neatness of the new one gives you that "I know exactly what I'm doing here" vibe from the character.
I guess I'll just have to
like them both.
How many times do I gotta run to kill this Red Eye Knight for his sword?
Steam can be dumb like that, you'll likely just have to make another boss weapon.
The last thing I needed to platinum DaS2 was the sorcery trophy and it didn't pop up until I'd gotten soul vortex from Tseldora a second time.
That's what I was thinking when I read his posts.
>Make DEX character
>Petrified something gives me channeler's trident
>Use it because I haven't before
>Get invaded in Heide
>About to win
>Invader whiffs an attack
>Go for strong attack out of habit
>Get backstabbed while dancing
Who else is excited for proper mail shirt?
Probably, you'll just have to turn a random small soul into a boss soul, or perhaps just add one into your inventory. I don't really fuck around with CE so I can't tell you the specifics.
But of course it couldn't let me without one finally unavoidable AOE attack
I only ever get gravelorded in the area just after Quelaag anymore, but since I rarely go past NG it doesn't really affect me anyways. There might be more gravelording in later stages of the game, but I haven't really seen it.
That's one of those covenants that just didn't age well as people moved on.
This guy again. Success! In case any one else is having the same problem, I got it to pop after restarting the game then dropping a bunch of the needed items and picking them back up. Probably just the dropping and picking up would do it though.
Those iframes better be good Miyazaki
>skipped beta registration because of lack of internet
Why even live?
Gathering game for mobile platforms where you play as the lords who found souls in the flame and kill dragons then suck up their remnants to level up
Nito's miasma summons cartoony zombies
The Witch of Izalith's daughters are all super 'kawaii'
Gwyn's knights all follow like pikmin and as you level up you get more and eventually so many that it lags your device because no programmed knight cap
Seath gets bigger and bigger as you level up
I mean, with the icons, text files, sprite sheets pulled directly from it.
Should I do Gutter, Grave of Saints, or go back to the area in Shaded Woods that I ran like a bitch from earlier when I saw a giant basilisk and it triggered my PTSD from my first time in the Depths?
Are you stupid?
That tells me how I could have gotten one, not how to get one now.
It's quite plausible that somebody has a spare code to give or sell, but it is impossible for me to still get one from the developers.
>Buy 81 Cresent Moon Grass
>He took the souls but I didn't get the grass
what the fuck
Is it just me or does early DaSII still have better lighting? Texture-wise, next-gen is obviously more detailed, but have we seen anything on the level of early Dragon Aerie? That contrast man.
I don't have next-gen, so feel free to correct me.
not really, largely sucks because you don't have access to the full moveset of your offhand weapon. you only have a parry/block and a weak attack.
offhand thrusting swords make good parrying weapons due to decent active frames and few recovery frames. poke also comes in handy
curved swords have a fancy parry animation but have a lot of recovery
offhand spear gives you a decent ranged poke but is useless to block with
whips have a somewhat useful attack that can punish people and they can also parry. they're useful for building up critical effects like poison or bleed
can't think of anything else remotely useful. try dual thrusting swords though
maybe it's for the best that this monstrosity never made it to the full game
longsword is great and should be able to see you through the entire game
you could invest in more dex/str for scaling damage, keep in mind that you get a 1.5x bonus to str when you're twohanding
or you could invest in a buff like crystal magic weapon or sunlight blade for more damage
Bloodborne has gems system which allows you to go for retarded scaling bonuses.
Base LHB's damage is 200, but it has an A/A scaling so on 50/50 STR/SKL it gets around 1000AR total with top tier 27.2% gems.
Nope, no buffs
Pure knight playthrough, no magic of any kind
Does the scaling get better when it starts to move toward +15
I have about 30 strength and dex and it just isn't killing shit fast enough
everything was hilariously broken
shortsword infinite 1hr1 stunlock
broken stun animations online
black phantoms that were like NG++++++ enemies
witching urns that you could throw gigantic distances around corners
no one knowing what agility did, so everyone got hit by soul spear
unstoppable war zwei meta
no, flynns adds the full bonus to element weapons, it's ring of blades that doesn't
flynn's doesn't work on critical attacks or ranged weapons though
>Flynn's ring lose it's potency on elemental weapons
Nope, you will get full 50 AR +35 from RoB+2 instead of 50.
DS2 scaling is pathetic and even more broken thanks to the rings.
Also you can experiment with using raw weapons, everything is better than dumping 40 to combat stat that won't give you any returns.
yeah, you should see a good increase in damage. stats tend to softcap at about 40 so put dex up and keep str at 30 because you can get the 2h bonus with it. if you're really looking for a change then try a greatsword like claymore or bastard sword. good damage and they'll make full use of your str and dex. alternatively there's ultragreatswords like the zweihander or the greatsword that'll do a ton of damage and still make full use of your stats.
Man I've always played either fast weapon characters or mages, but I'm a good chunk of the way through DaS2 with an ultra greatsword STR and having a blast. I really didn't expect a big slow weapon to be this much fun.
I'm still waiting on a goddamn email too. This suffering.
What they did to DS2 really fucking pains me.
I hate Bamco for being jews, i hate Shibuya for trying to make a huge openworld from ds2 and i hate Tanimura for removing those features that were already playable like pyromancies being a magic school or magical aiming and hilariously half-assed balance patches after release.
From what i remember there was supposed to be a spell which allowed you to convert INT into DEX for a limited time, this alone could've been absolutely awesome for build diversity.
Instead everything fun was nerfed into oblivion, DS2 has worst magic in the entire series now and the only top tier weapons are no fun longsword and estoc.
>Thank you for applying.
>Unfortunately, you were not selected for the test.
Anyone got any extras?
Why would anybody in their right mind use a spell that changes int to dex when they could just make an int/dex build?
And yeah, DaS2 magic is the 'worst', in that you can't make OHKO builds as easily
>The network test was so fun.
I had an invader who thought he was in co-op for some reason, and I decided to just let him follow me around wondering why he couldn't attack the enemies. It was kind of amusing. I think he fell off a cliff or something.
Souls magic should either:
-have a good tracking but mediocre damage
-have no tracking but huge damage
to be balanced.
DeS magic had both retarded tracking on most spammable spells and insane damage.
DS1 greatly reduced spell tracking but kept the damage so it was balanced, especially in pvp, anyone crying about mages in DS1 is a horrible scrub of the highest caliber, especially in 2015.
DS2 magic has nor damage nor tracking on top of ability to stack elemental resists to easily negate 30-40% of damage and use small shields with 100% elemental resistance.
Hell even Bloodborne did magic better, damage was mediocre but tracking on all spells except for like one was superb compared to rest of series.
Magic babbies, folks.
>"TWOP with dark magic is balanced!"
>"My manus catalyst CSS + CHSM is fair!"
>complaining about post-nerf twop which lasts like 10 seconds and has a small range
>bringing manus catalysts of all things into argument
It only lasts ten seconds, so it's fine, everybody, don't worry. It'll NEVER have any applications
Some shitty pvp gimmick like bell maidens.
I mean, i fucking love BB's pvp, it's much better than shitfest of DS2, but to get instant invasions you need to invade only in Nightmares, everywhere else it's DS1-tier 3-5 minutes between invasion waiting and it was my only gripe with the game.
If they bring it back in 3 it should use the same sounds and animation as one of the heal spellsbut with slightly subtle differences,so that people who think you are healing are enticed to come close and punish it, but soon realize they got tricked when they slow to a crawl. Theyll either have to punish from range or learn the difference between great heal and twop
Tanimura is not bad. He designed DLC and they were great, he worked on STA which was a fairly unique experience even among fromsoft games. Together with Miyazaki he can do something pretty good UNLESS he will be allowed to balance weapons.
>What are guys the most worried about over DaS3?
Movement speed seems a little fast, but that might just be an artifact of not having equipment load implemented yet. Otherwise I'm mostly concerned about the environments and bosses being fun, gameplay will ultimately be a Souls game including all the good and bad that comes with that.
That poise won't work again for the second time. I lost so many fights in DaS2 just because poise never worked properly and they gifted you a 2 hit stunlock.
I'm also worried about the mobility. Light rolling looks faster for some reason, which will make the PvE a fucking joke yet again because of excessive i-frames. I never liked i-frames on rolls. Makes it more of a free "get me out of here" tool rather than an actual dodge that you have to time correctly. This isn't a character action game, i-frames should only be allowed when you get up slowly from the floor to avoid infinite stunlocks or bullshit moments.
It has been YEARS and I still can't get over the fact that in a Souls game, it's perfectly fine to roll INTO attack hitboxes because your i-frames will guard you from everything. This is double true for DaS1 and the ninja flip ring, which almost seems like a fucking overpowered joke item.
It's been how the games have worked since...well..their creation. I-frames were absolutely essential in DeS, and a major game mechanic.
If you don't like it, you don't like Souls.
The only thing poise should do it to allow you to tank fast spammy longsword attacks.
Outside of that there should be a hyperarmor system governing everything and nothing more.
>tfw got the beta downloaded, but I didnt get selected
Am I not good enough? is that it?
Does using a +10 Ricard's Rapier in the Parish church at SL11 count as twinking? Ricard's does such shit damage with base requirements.
The most obnoxious enemies to exist.
DeS anon how far have you gotten?
I'm about to move into my living room and try to kill Allant. Guess I'll come back after each
deathto check for replies.
Wish me luck, guys!
Oh wow I just came on the thread anon.
I'm level 30 at Storm of Shrines first area.
Yes that's me whining about Storm Beasts
Gonna go find the theif ring and come back to it.
these fuckers are up there too
So, just curious, what's your policy when people summon you and expect you to do all the work for them?
I've been doing co-op in Anor Londo for a few days and occasionally someone hides from Super Ornstein / Super Smough and just watches me solo them. It's sort of irritating but I just carry on and show them how it's done. Curious what others would do in that situation.
>I never liked i-frames on rolls. Makes it more of a free "get me out of here" tool rather than an actual dodge that you have to time correctly.
Have you seen the hit detection in the Souls series? i-frames are necessary to make dodge rolls work at all.
I usually lay down my sign because I want to kill whatever boss again without the trouble of NG
whether the little dudes help me is up to them
sometimes if I get irritated I imitate my favorite summon who flaked and get naked with Xanthous Crown and do the 2H strong dance with Channeler's trident
>You’ll need to enter your online ID in order to receive your product code. Only users whose online ID has been registered in this fashion can participate in the Network Stress Test, so please ensure that your online ID is entered correctly.
>not these motherfuckers
also wtf google?
I co-op because I want to help the host clear content. If they're so desperate to get past a boss that they're going to hide and let me do it for them rather than enjoy the fight then at least they're less likely to get themselves killed before I can rush in to try and save them.
>bosses look great and have super smooth animations
>hard but not frustrating, enemies punish sloppy plays but don't have cheap instakill attacks
>just super fun in general
>these fuckers are up there too
They're not that hard if you found the Spider Shield while you're in the depths and can put two and two together after the first time they murder you.
>I DIDN'T GET IN
someone please tell me you have an extra code
I was getting consistently summoned pretty much everywhere. Make sure you have your ports forwarded and you're in level range.
It seems to vary more based on time of the week lately, though, so you might get slow periods mid-week. I got summoned for O&S every 5-10 minutes though over the weekend, at SL 48 on PC.
Aside from that, Gargoyles and Taurus Demon were easy to get summons for around level 10. I even got a few summons for Duke's Archives at level 48, surprisingly.
I should note that I'm in a Sun Sister though, not sure how much difference that makes with level range.
I dunno, I find they tend to be a little obnoxious spamming the Praise emote and that they're more likely to want to gank invaders (I try to do point-down to tell them to back off but it never works)
On that note if there's some universal way of telling summoned phantoms that I'd like to 1v1 the invader, let me know. The sad thing is even when I do try to fight them fair they tend to overcompensate because they see my phantoms and panic, but I'd rather be the better person.
>On that note if there's some universal way of telling summoned phantoms that I'd like to 1v1 the invader, let me know
There isn't one and there shouldn't be one. If you want to 1v1 invaders, don't fucking summon. Your ally isn't gonna just sit there and watch his efforts and time get wasted so you can have a honorabru duel. They want souls and insight and to complete the PvE mission with you.
Well, I like to summon just for the fun of multiplayer, because it actually makes the easier bosses more fun instead of beating them alone for the millionth time. But I like pvping with invaders too because I'm pretty good at pvp.
Oh well, I guess black crystal is my only recourse.
this. It's pretty universal ettiquette that if you have a summon when you're invaded, they get the first crack at the invader. otherwise, you might die and they get nothing for their trouble.
>I still aggro every storm beast with thief ring on
This fucking code of honor bullshit ruined PvP.
What made DaS PvP special was the asymmetry and unpredictability, go to the assigned 1v1 arenas in Undead Burg or something instead of ruining the game for people that like the intended mixed pvp+pve design of the game.
>mfw played Dark Souls and Demons souls innumerable times, sold Dark Souls 2 because it was shit, and borrowed a PS4 to play bloodborne so I can't play it again
I'm playing Dark Souls again, but I just.. I want something new so bad. This is suffering
I actually agree with you though, anon. As an invader it's really fun to try and use every trick in the book to kill an entire gank squad. Nothing more rewarding than picking off phantoms one by one before killing the host after he's chugged all his estus.
But as a host I'd rather actually have a challenge with an invasion instead of just triple backstab fishing them.
God please tell me they're doing something more interesting with those this time around, I even preferred them conceptually as dark magic in DaS.
On the other hand, those blue pyromancies could be really fucking good if the color represents higher temperatures for the stronger stuff. If they made a blue combustion-like pyromancy with a sharper, more focused flame I'd need a change of boxers.
no bro, those are the Dark Souls 2 network test spell icons
the pyromancies are : firestorm, great fireball, swollen fireball, and the reflect pyromancy one i don't remember the name of
swollen fireball is the one exploding fireball the skeleton lord casts
Stop that, you can't expect the game to have absolutely no large humanoids. Especially in a series about fucking giants.
What matters is how visually interesting they are, how diverse their movesets are, and how spread out they are.
Are you retarded? Or did you just hear some of us talking about how saturated Dark Souls 2 was with them and are just throwing it around to look cool? That webm alone tells me that all the gameplay problems with giant humanoid enemies is not there. It doesn't move or fight like a human would.
I'm almost sure the aesthetic, lore, attention to detail and level design wont match my expectations.
They would really have to make an incredible masterpiece to come anywhere near the inflated perception I have of the level of quality the first couple games had, which is especially unlikely after the trainwreck DaS2 was.
Personally I like "humanoid with gimmick" type bosses
It creates a sort of consistency where you can make the diversity more about the difference between individuals on the same type
Like the differences between O&S, Crossbreed, and Artorias
Although I'm pretty satisfied with whatever and not very good at the game so yeah
If they are anything like the invisible sanctum knights, then they must be easy. Of course I don't really know, I haven't played Demon's Souls.
>finally beat DeS for the first time
>decide to kill King Allant because I thought that was how I got the "good ending"
>wait there's more
>Maiden tells me to go back
>I headbutt her to see what happens
>it doesn't stumble her, but kills her in one fucking hit
WAIT WHAT N-NO WHAT'S
>cue "bad end" cutscene
>literally walk all over the Maiden and
become the new heart of the Old One
I let everybody down including myself.
They're the hardest enemy in Demon's Souls in a 1v1.
They can't really be stunlocked, they have hyper armor, they can oneshot you on NG neutral tendency, they have assloads of defense and HP, etc.
Theres one single black skeleton on the path to the 4-1 boss, all alone on a stairway, and it's always surrounded by bloodstains.
Those are the easy black skeletons.
I meant giant humanoids in general, not the anus faces from DaS2.
You know, like how the architecture of Anor Londo implies there were people of varying sizes around?
Even the elevators outside of Gwynevere came in two sizes.
>Tomb of Giants
>Giants in Sen's Fortress
>Broken Archstone was The Land of Giants
>R1 spam fest fights because healing
but she is so qt
YOOOOOOOOOOO CHECK YOUR EMAILS
radical enemy and item placement changes for the better
petrified branches are like gold chest keys or something, they give you good stuff
generally more enemies, but weaker
some interesting ai quirks
bunch of hidden things like
invisible hollows or hidden butterfly moths that drop items
I'm gonna try my hardest not to go around begging.
Actually yes. Best bosses are all humanoids. People complain about humanoids in DaS2, but in DaS Nito, Seath, Centipede, Butterfly (lmao no melee), Ceaseless and 4chins weren't just huge knights and sucked major ass.
i will draw one of you fuckers something for a code
i'm not the best artist but i need to get into this beta
Kind of disappointing then. I guess I'll try the original before I commit to buy.
are there any beginner tips like "don't level resistance" or "drake sword is for shitters"? big stuff, not asking for spoilers
>On that note if there's some universal way of telling summoned phantoms that I'd like to 1v1 the invader, let me know.
Being a Sunbro is, in part, about defending the host and keeping them alive. Letting you 1v1 an invader is sort of counter to that.
mfw i was using the symbol of avarice to farm the loyce souls then went to majula and rested at the bonfire there.
i had around 500000 souls and i forgot the helmet drained your life. I went to take a shit. I was not happy when i came back to find out i had passed out twice
Yes, and it's far more important than not leveling resistance.
Level Adaptability. It's really fucking important. It determines i-frames and item use speed.
You want to pump it right at the start until you have at least 93 Agility, and ideally 105 eventually.
What the fuck
that's in DaS2, you dolt
That's always a criticism that sort of confused me, people saying that DSI has great monster bosses when compared to DSII's more humanoid ones, but even though I admit that DSI had some good designs for their monsters, I can't say those monsters were particularly difficult for the right reasons.
Yeah, Centipede Demon and Seath look awesome, but too bad I spend most of the battle looking at their crotches. Moonlight Butterfly? If you don't have nay ranged options Beatrice is basically your crutch. There are basically three ways of fighting Ceaseless and all of them are cheap. Outside that one aoe, Nito has never hit me, even when I was just standing around.
We all know the general stance on Four Kings.
People bitch about Agility all the time, but I honestly think that tying i-frames to the "resistance" equivalent stat was a really clever way to actually make the state useful and relevant.
Had to go through a bit of old footage to find it.
It behaves the same, hitting the opponent three times and causing a stagger each time, but it looks rather strange. The projectile itself seems like it's ended up being just a placeholder, and a very strange one at that, since it's a vertical lightning bolt.
>If you don't have nay ranged options Beatrice is basically your crutch.
Have you ever fought the Moonlight Butterfly without Beatrice or ranged options? It's basically the only thing that makes the fight actually challenging and interesting as a boss fight.
Here's a better view of how it looks when traveling.
considering that clearly depicts one of the serpents which are dark souls 1 characters and they're clearly wearing the brigand's set which is associated with the bandit class, and not the bandit armor which isn't even in the game, I think anyone who isn't a retard would get the message.
As opposed to "roll until Beatrice kills it" and "roll and shoot it till it dies" there's a lot more room to mess up and several of its moves are only threatening if you get close.
you guys ready for this weekend?
The only difference Beatrice adds to the battle is that she makes it shorter. Her going pew pew doesn't stop the butterfly from firing on you, and you having to dodge and roll until it lands.
Thanks mang. Interesting what it was actually supposed to be.
Do you have a folder or something of these webm finds?
Exactly. Beatrice or not, the butterfly is tedious work, and I've never really considered it difficult because it rarely manages to me. I prefer to take her along because I'm not interested in prolonging a boss battle I consider meh at best.
Between CE and Debug stuff, I have hundreds of webms, but I don't know where the best place to make an album of them would be.
Man that got tense
I haven't been rolling much so my reactions were shit trying to dodge their unblockable dash.
Then two of em, oh lordy.
I beat it on first try though. In fact I'm beating most bosses on the first try.
You infuse it with chaos at Vamos.
It looks like it's a scripted event actually
which makes sense considering what that hollow used to be and what that tree used to be
They were toying with this stuff with the DLC phantoms so it's natural they'd toy with it some more in SOTFS
I hope they add more characterization like this to DS3, all of those NPC invaders were charming and quirky as fuck.

The moment before I got to that area with the NPC invader. A guy named John invaded me with the same armor and weapon as the NPC. After I died to him, I went back and the NPC spawned and I just didn't know what was real anymore man. I love NPC summons/invasions
>fighting in iron bridge
>summoned by some dude with dual bonefist
>feel bad for him, just wants to have kung fu powers but can't do damage
>decides to pull out a Fume UGS out from his pocket
>kill him anyways
>summoned by him again, this time with sword already out
>kill him again
>summoned by him again, same thing
>kill him again
>summoned by him again, now with santiers
>kill him again
>summoned by him again, now with the same weapon type as me
>kill him again
>summoned by him again, same thing but now he has a bigger shield
>kill him again
Is there ever a worse feeling than constantly trying out stuff and having none of it work on one guy?
Is there a better feeling than being that said guy?
