>What is Tree of Savior?
Tree of Savior is being touted as the spiritual successor of the Ragnarok Online and is being developed by IMC Games Co., Ltd, which was founded by Kim Hakkyu, the former lead developer of RO. IMC Games have shown an interest in an international release, and has begun testing the game in various other languages, including English and Japanese, even whilst the Korean version is still in testing. The game is currently in the beta phase, and not fully released.

>Official Translation Project - https://github.com/Treeofsavior/EnglishTranslation
Tree of Savior is somewhat unique in that the games translation is heavily supplemented by fan contributions provided at IMC's offical Github. Is this genius or laziness? It's both!
If there's a need for a specific service then people will flock to it in order to try and make money.
A lot of us want to be the first person on the block to offer that service.
Besides, I'd rather have a bunch of squires nearby undercutting the repair NPC and each other than pay full price at the repairer.
Someone know i where can i download the new client?
i still have the one in iCBT1 will that suffice?
>tfw going to exchange services for friendship
A-am I still a jew? I just want to make good friends to do dungeons and raids with in the future. No ERP though; shit's cringey as fuck.
Not a lincuck/thaumacuck/pyscuckinetic/cucknomancer
Some more clarification about the Hand Knife combo, I messed up earlier.
The Monk doesn't have to be in it at all, the monster just has to be under the effects of Deprotected Zone.
KR lag means the debuff from DZ kicks in a second later.
I wonder if we're going to see some of the old favourites in iCBT2.
Maybe this time rhidz can play and the "GM applicant" guy will get banned?
Either way, I hope it's not just flooded with a million BRs. I liked the fact that by the end of iCBT1 I was starting to recognize people by name.
Hopefully, like iCBT1 most people will leave or lose interest after the first day.
I wouldn't count on that. People are going to metagame the shit out of the builds.
Even after they do that, there should still be a lot more useful builds than most other games.
I want an offensive Fencer while still bringing at least some utility, but there isn't much that works well with it. Feel like this build has too many skills and not enough buffs though.
Fencer skills are probably not going to be final, will need to test them more.
Nah man, what I meant from >>119354234 is that I hope that the initial and second beta players get BTFO by understanding that it wasn't the leveling rate, but their short attention spans which made the game unfun for them. In fact, I want the low leveling rates back.
iCBT1 rates were trash. It was done on purpose to stop people from getting to parts of the game that were simply not translated (which was basically level 60-70ish and above).
Anyone saying they were fine is insane, considering IMC themselves said they were purposely shitty.
You cant troll me. Also the rates were not 'fine' considering the devs themselves said they were reduced below normal. We had people with the literal charts for each level and did the math showing it would take literal years if not decades to reach the higher levels on one character. The people who went full neet (bless them for trying) barely got to see anything extra for all that effort, maybe 1-2 more maps.
Faggots like you are why garbage like Tera is popular.
The rates were kept low because of shit translations and the fact that it was just a test for Steam servers. They were shit for a game with a projected level cap of 600.
Grinding isn't difficulty, it's tedium.
>Developers literally stated the rates were heavily nerfed
>Still think they were fine
Consider the following: In a week, out of 8000 people less than 30 left the tutorial area.
Higher Cleric circles, Paladin, Dievderby, Pardoner, and Oracle would probably all be decent choices until Priest gets buffed.
My main issue with Priest at the moment is that they're supposed to be a very buff heavy class, but their buffs aren't as good as some of the other classes. Blessing and Sacrament have flat scaling and are just kind of bad skills at the moment.
Tutorial area is anything lower than about level 60ish. Below this level you have a quest chain that takes you from area to area. Game doesn't stop holding your hands until around this time.
Also consider the following. With the rates iCBT1 had and the exp needed to level up. No one was reaching maximum level. It was simply impossible to achieve in a single humans life time. That's not even an over estimation. It would have taken hundreds of years to hit maximum level.
>You shouldn't be able to reach max level
Literally retarded. The developers will make content for these levels "you shouldn't be able to reach". Which is literally wasted time and money.
Why the fuck would they waste time and money on parts of a game people can never play?
>tfw going to bed soon
>will be seperated from /tosg/ while sleeping
Why even live?
>They can focus on content people will actually reach and just make everything beyond that pure grind.
So why not just make the maximum level a set number people can reach and focus on what people can reach?
There is literally no difference. Either way it's something you will never play, so whether it's there or not changes nothing.
If the grind ends then I won't be satisfied. I don't want to hit max level and do shitty dungeon runs for ilevel grind like every other shitty mmo. I don't know why you think everything has to be like WoW.
Even Americans don't live for thousands of years anon. Stop living in your anime dream world. This is real life man.
It's going to take a long time to hit maximum level. The problem in iCBT1 was the grind started too early. It hit at about level 30 out of 600.
That's like playing a game where the max level is 100, and being forced to grind at level 5. It was absolute shit because by this point in time no one had access to anything. Your build consisted of 2-3 usable skills, you had no flexibility in where you could level up and the experience was the same for everyone at this point in time.
The grinds got to hit after people have access to the majority of their build and some choices in where they can go and what they can do. Not long before this.
I got to level 60 in the beta.
I'm not saying the rates should be like iCBT1 but it shouldn't be to the point where you can cap out in a month or two.
I enjoyed the grind though I wasn't one of the bitches who quit at level 30 and moaned and complained.
I was one of about 5 people in the game who actually managed to hit rank 4 during iCBT. The grind really wasn't that fun. The problem was I had like 2-3 usable attacks at that point (and a few buffs which were shit), I was also forced to go to the same map and there was no viable alternatives for long periods of time.
Grind isn't a problem, forcing it on people who have experienced so little of the game however is.
I'm already playing it, but it doesn't work the opposite way, they ain't interested in ToS. And BnS is already starting to be the same as the Tera Community + Ncsoft fucking things up
>Anyone who isn't a child with a short attention span got at least to level 50.
Less than 10% of players during iCBT1 got past level 50. Infact, less than 10% of players hit level 40 and I heard level 30 players qualifying for a bonus key (which put them in the top 10% of players too).
I was the only person from /vg/ who hit rank 4 during iCBT1.
I only had two days to hit level 60 anon.
I was having fun the entire time.
Different strokes for different folks.
I wish i could've got into the beta when it started but I was one of the Saturday people.
You had it easy. During the first 2-3 days of iCBT1 leveling up was retarded because everyone hit the level 30-40 wall at around the same time. Meant everyone was stuck on that one map with the roses for days.
You got in after that happened and never had to experience trying to share 1 mob among 3 separate parties.
>but it shouldn't be to the point where you can cap out in a month or two.
No one ever asks for this. In every discussion about EXP rates in ToS someone claims they don't want the game to be like this but here's never anyone in the thread who held that opinion or made that suggestion.
Oh man, I cannot wait to go back to flowers.
>B-But its too hard to level!
>We should hit level 250 in like 1 week if we want to! And max level in a month!
Good way to make this game be complete dogshit and the same as every other mmo out there.
Cry more, faggot.
The XP in the first beta was bad. But it should not be to the point where you can hit 200 in a week.
No that is you being retarded. I have no issue with max level taking a year to hit at least this way you have actual investment and it feels like you are accomplishing something so long as they put out content to level on at higher levels.
>can't believe how much autism this game draws to it
I think you're being a bit generous blaming this game for the autism. This is 4chan, we're knee-deep in autism to begin with.
Of course max level is going to be achievable you stupid fuck.
I hope we DON"T get the retarded beta rates when it comes out so I can hear you moan and complain and eventually quit.
One thing I loved about RO is how it doesn't hold your hand through a themepark.
There were turn-in quests where you had to kill a certain number of mobs but those were occasional events and required a party.
Compare it to the kind of shit we have now, I played Tera after iCBT1 and hit max level in 10 days and I never had to party up with anyone. What a shitty game that was.
Your riggt, remove levels and assign the skill points and attribute points to quest/boss. And you scale up based off gear. Gear will be soul bound unless freshly made from crafters.>>119359209
I have no problem with low rates during the live game, but don't expect me to invest a shitload of time grinding to get anywhere in a fucking beta. If I wanted to burn out, that's how I'd do it.
Why don't you fuck off? The rates krCBT has are the official rates (they've been nerfed from the retarded rates they use to be).
It's still not hard to grind.
If you don't like it, don't play. This isn't the game for you. Stop demanding everyone else and the developers change just to suit your personal tastes.
>But it should not be to the point where you can hit 200 in a week.
Show me where I said this. In fact, show me where anyone ITT even wants that. You faggots are so delusional you don't even have any actual retorts, just strawman after strawman. Bickering amongst yourselves over something we all agree on.
I've been hearing about people bitching about the rates and saying that in vanilla RO it took a year to hit trans-99/70. While I agree with them in thinking that hitting max level in a week is fucking stupid, who the fuck was so casual that it took them a year to hit max level trans?
Seriously, it took me six months. Dickwaving aside, unless you were a kiritolonerfag there were enough parties around that were full of people helping eachother hit the cap.
I'm not you stupid nigger. kCBT rates are fine. I just don't want casuals like you turning this into another WoW clone with max level in a week. Please fuck off and play some other shitty game. We already have enough subhuman retards flooding the game.
Unfortunately, it seems like there are certain trap options like Quarrel Shooter C3. You are also only allowed to advance into a class for 3 ranks max.
If you're asking so that you can still keep the costume of an earlier class, though, rejoice! You get the costumes as an item and can reequip them at will.
Maybe they will fuck off if we bully them enough.
Eventually you'll have to pick another class, or just choose not to advance any further.
So I guess it's like RO, except there's no rebirthing for extra stats. Are you trying to be one of those perma-acolytes?
It was too hard to level you fucking autistic retard.
>We should hit level 250 in like 1 week if we want to! And max level in a month!
Literally nobody said that, and anybody who actually wants it to be that easy is fucking braindead. It is possible for the rates to be somewhere in between "literally won't hit level 600 in your lifetime" and "hitting level cap in 2 weeks". Nobody wants the grind to be easy, but it should be achievable before we die of old age you goddamn mongoloid.
If you could rank advance up to c3 in something and choose to be a perma______, you'd end up pretty gimped. The damage rates for a rank1 class and a rank 4-6 class are worlds apart.
If you want to do a perma build, my best advice would be to level up like normal, go c3 in whatever you want to perma and continue to rank up after that. Afterwards, just dress up like your perferred class and only use that classes spells.
The long and short of it, is it viable? No.
Is it doable? Maybe
Are you retarded? When did you play the game?
On iro we had a thing that showed each person that first hit 99 on said respectively class.
It took 10 months - 1 year+ for every class to have a level 99.
When 9.0 came out they re did that event but for transcended classes.
9.0 came out 2005.05.12
These were the last people to reach 99 transcended class in the top 10 for their servers.
Notice the dates
>Confidences HighWizard 11/01/2006
>Rosalyne Paladin 10/19/2006
>Chelsea, Sakura, & lil shiro Champion 10/19/2006
>~Lex~ HighWizard 06/02/2006
here, man, no gimmicks, just heals and buffs
I went with straight cleric 3 and priest 3 at first, but you'll want daino for MORE BUFFS
it's up to you if you want to follow that, but I feel like I'm missing something fundamental in what you're asking for
There are two kinds of people in this thread.
People who think you should grind your entire life away and never reach max level.
And people who think the grind should be reasonable.
The first group however sees the second group and assumes they just want to hit max level in 2 days.
Nigger someone reached level 80 in a week.
I already said the XP was too low. I admitted that
BUT where do YOU think you should be after a week of playing the game.
Matter of fact the beta was out like 5 days and not even a full week.
So where do you think we should be in 5 days.
iROs level progression was better balanced than ToS during iCBT1.
In iRO level 10 was a few hours max, and then a little bit longer to get your first job change. It took you maybe 2-4 weeks to hit your second job change. From there the grind slowed down a bit, but within 3-4 months you were level 85ish.
It was at this point the grind actually started, but it still only took you another 4-6 months to hit max level.
In ToS the grind started incredibly early and just got worse. It was like expecting a Novice to spend a week to hit his first job change, then a year after that to hit the second job change (and 100+ years to hit max level).
No, there are two kinds of people in this thread.
People who think you should hit max level in two days.
And people who think max level should be a long term goal.
The first group however sees the second group and assumes they want max level to take decades.
I appreciate that you did your research, I really do. But I can't help that that was my experience.
Also, this was in 2008 and I had a lot of information regarding the best spots to level as a party. Still took me six months... so... sorry, I guess?
Oh turns out I was wrong about the first level 99 classes.
iRO came out June 1, 2003
The last of the top 10 people to hit 99 for each server happened in 2005. So it took even longer than a year from release to reach max level.
>So where do you think we should be in 5 days.
I want to get most of my skills relatively quickly, because a slow grind with half of my potential skill set is fucking boring and stupid. I think the grind should kick in once we have the majority of our skills, maybe around 150-200. The max level is 600 or so, right? That's still 400 or so levels of grinding. Let us get most of our skills, and then hit us with the massive grind. I don't think that's too much to ask.
Considering no one has yet said they want max level to take 2 days, but multiple people have said they want max level to either be literally impossible to reach, or to take decades, I'd say your final statement is infact false.
That is quite literally the opposite of what I want, and have argued against that exact thing in the last thread. People rushing to the end of a game and bitching about no content are the absolute worst type of cancerous faggots.
As opposed to making a bunch of maps where you're only there for a few hours and never go back because leveling is too quick and the game is about "muh end game" ?
What's the point of even playing a fucking mmo if you just want End game bullshit?
Go play LoL and fuck off.
Once again, you're assuming if people don't agree with you, they must want to hit max level quickly.
Seriously, you have fucking problems.
I hate to break it to you, but people will reach max level, and it is not going to take more than 6-14 months (and it's going to get quicker and quicker as the game gets older).
This game is not the game for you. Go and play something else. I heard cookie clicker has no maximum level and infinite grind, you might enjoy it.
