If you have to ask, you can't do it.

Do the Opportunities then find the Career Agents & run all of their missions; they give you ISK, ships, skillbooks and teach you basics. Talk to players and try to find a corp. The game is only as boring as you are.

I gotta be the only one that wants Walking in Stations to be added to/finished/developed.
I like spaceships all right, but I'd like it more if it was a space game rather than a docking simulator.
going from the profile pictures, I'd say ask Josephine Amelana for the fit.
I didn't ask what the fit was when she posted it, but she did say that that ship died shortly after the screencap because of dropping transversal to a battleship.
the prospect can get a sig smaller than a capsule with expedition frigate leveled high enough.
Not if I want to sit in a comfy space station in space while doing space things, like jewing people who are to lazy to fly away from the station I'm sitting in. Selling tritanium for 100% at least more that the common 3 jumps away price.
The entire game revolves around the market
But they can't pvp without the supply!
It's working, lawl.
Only the missiles hit but it's tankable.
It's on sisi you nerd
No halos, no links or drugs, expedition frigs to 3. Getting a stable orbit was the only hard part (if you do it before they spawn you're golden).
fuqqqq haha looks like you've made back the hull and some of the fit already. I'm more concerned with how you're going get out of the site while maintaining transversal. might take a bit of manual piloted spirals to get pointed the right way without dying.
>I browser reddit and repost images from there
you dont even need that much tank, instrumentals are easy and you can do it in vitals if you clear the webbing frigs first and fit for cap, the fit i have is 0.3gj/sec stable after sleeper nuets and i didnt even use t2 rigs
I'm using agility rigs so I can have a tighter orbit. Sig and speed are your tank, stopping or steep turns and you're gone.
The way you warp in seems very important in this site (Instrumental). If you start <30km with the battleships they will web and kill you, but if you are >60 they won't manage to get close and you can even afk.
This is my first site so no frigates, but checking the other one, eve-survival says they don't have webs? How do you kill them?
just start orbiting the cloud while cloaked and decloak once youre in a comfy orbit
to afk the vitals proper you need the cap fit though otherwise they turn off your AB
i use domis to prep the frigs but anything that can stay on the field under 2k dps long enough to be effective could work, buffer rattle easily, just be ready to leave when tank breaks
they used them as a mobile platform in WH's
other than that they really didn't have a purpose and at that price they weren't worth it for anything, they don't have enough PG to sport their gun bonus at all
>tracking speed bonus
>ccp help I suck at piloting
LOL I JUST FOUND THE EXACT SYSTEM, AND THE SAME PROSPECT WITH NO PILOT DAFUQ?!
Seems to work fine
Got in my first cap fight yesterday. What fucking a fucking blast. Even tough they used nagelfar wich does not need cap to kill shit.
It did not go to well...
How many dreads in siege is a archon supposed to be able to tank?
Well there were two of them. Both nags. The combat shakes got me really good. Cannot wait to do it again.
Okay so I have been living in a wormhole for a long ass time now and I want to be a little shithead and spew shuttles all over empire space.
But I must ask because there are some people who don't like to have fun... Is this legal? Or is it a bannable offense?
>fittings 302M ISK
Nope, after the tirecide the compact one has the same requirements
>my neuting domi alt uncloaks
>and then realize i can't because of hisex
you gotta have your main, then a falcon alt, then your links alt (maybe have two of these), then maybe a logi alt and then two or three standby combat pilots in case you gotta get some extra dps
what, they put these up ages ago m8
and navy ewar frigs if you haven't seen yet
it technically is better than nothing, but it also means they are definitely not going to do anything else to it for a long time. like if an overpowered ship gets a really half-assed nerf. if they did nothing to it, I could sit here and foolishly believe that in the next expansion they'll redesign the whole thing.
just holes that havent been touched yet, they still exist
only 2 left :(
CCP regularly made 14 days free comeback offers for old accounts. Now they only spam me with $9.99 scams.
If you're bad and you know it, Join All-Out
If you're bad and you know it, Join All-Out
If you're bad and you know it, then your fit will surely show it
If you're bad and you know it, Join All-Out.
I have run into people that have played EVE for years and are completely fucking retarded.
And if you're talking about skill points, there's only so many skills that apply to any single ship. And most of the training time is just getting skills from 4 to 5, which isn't exactly an overwhelming advantage.
Patchnotes for Nov 3rd:
>Resizing scan range can be modified by ALT-MOUSEWHEEL
>Spread probes formation be modified by CTRL-MOUSEWHEEL
Naturally people already dscan a lot, although hotkeys exist because they make things easier to do.
Imo, the average person will dscan a bit more frequently, now that they don't need to drag their cursor to the corner of the screen. Having it on a mouse button would make it a lot easier to scan during a hacking minigame, for example.
Is there a way I can add the new ewar frigs to the pyfa/EFT ship database without waiting for the official release?
>someone saved my pic that i only posted once
>Generating a new sqlite dump HOWTO
>You'll need pyfa itself (git://dev.evefit.org/pyfa.git)
as well as phobos (git://dev.evefit.org/phobos.git)
>Phobos can dump the whole of the eve cache to json, after installing it (=python setup.py install) just do python dumpToJson.py -e /path/to/eve -c /path/to/eve/cache -s serverName -o /output/folder
>Arguments explained: -e and -c should be pretty self explanitory, they're the path to the eve install and the eve cache respectivly
>-s is the serverName, its used to figure out which subfolder in the machonet folder we're intrested in. (possible values: tranquility, singularity, duality).
>This is passed directly to reverence which keeps a serverName to IP address mapping. >You could probably add more servers with their IPs in the reverence sourcecode (cache.py file, around like 150 in the CacheMgr class) if you need another one.
>-o is the output folder to dump all json files to, it should already exist or you'll get errors.
>After thats done, you'll have all json files you need, and you can use a script within pyfa to generate a dump from that.
>After you checked out pyfa, don't forget to update submodules (git submodule update --init).
>and then browse to eos/utils/scripts/jsonToSql.py, which can generate the sqlite dump pyfa needs.
>python jsonToSql.py -d eve.db -j /output/folder
>Once thats done, you should have a nice little sqlite database, you can replace the one in the staticdata folder with yours and it should run right away.

they do a dump of the eve client database
Closest to an explanation I got was that they felt too many folks used external players instead of the Jukebox, enough that it didn't justify maintaining the code. I guess they misread the situation.
i haven't looked TOO hard at my crystals - i just carry spares - but from what i've been able to tell, they haven't been breaking at 1.00 or at 100 or at 0, which are the numbers that would seem most intuitive to me. i'd like to learn, though. currently -

I may shake off and start learning again.
I did. but GUI is easier to use and I don't need to show off le haxxors mad zkillz with classmates who may be even shittier than me.
Actually, I did most of my projects alone, at the desk. I recieved a bonus for it. Ended up with 29/30
>Just go learn basic Bash. It's not hard.
Oh I wished. Someday I wanted to start (re)-learning C++. I realized I already knew most of the syntax from my uni days, yet I'd have swore that I couldn't recall any on a whim.
Even today, I feel like I wouldn't be able to put together a program .
I dropped after two days.
recently I proposed to myself to refresh my old hobby of flightsim. Dropped that too.
It's always like that.
I went to several Psycologists, next one I'm waiting for on monday.
It's not even my being a lazy ass. When it comes to EVE I make all the spreadsheets, I love working with numbers.
If I have an aim to pursue I give it my all, like when I was a kid and got skyhigh marks in school, because I genuinely wanted to learn, I was amazed at all the physics shit, I always wanted to know more, learn more, I always found myself reading the encyclopedia my parents bought when I was a kid, written in point10 in columns.
But now it faded away. it's always like that. I feel lost I feel bored, that's why I also unsubbed from eve.
pardon me the blog
>Do you miss the game?
when I started my trial and I jumped in an impairor I became fully aware this game wasn't about le ebin spaceship, I was fully aware of the kind of cancerous games EVE belongs to.
I wandered here looking for a game that let me have that sense of "space".
But EVE works on a massive scale and the market/industry stuff clicked with me, I missed an old game of mine where I enjoyed producing selling stuff a lot, striking deals with individual buyers and buccaneering the market alike.
I unsubbed mostly because of that same snes of boredom, of apathy, I don't know how to call it. I feel like I already seen it all. Even exploration, I figured my little anathema/magnate hacking sites all day long, only for some null ratting jew to buy all of what I found for PLEXmoneis.
Maybe it's that I'm the one buying and not the one selling, not the one having the upper hand.
That may be the case, I use to hold on most of the loot I find in EVE, for "future enterprises" I never come to realize. At moments I had 300mil worth of salvage waiting to start making rigs, then I figured how much of an headache that was and I sold it all wholesale to my CEO.
I still have like 600mil in datacores and decryptors, I always run data sites because "it feeds my invention activity" even if I came to realize I need to buy datacores off the market/farm them from agents.
Also I am poor NEET, I learned to live with the little money I got. And I can't stay subbed to EVE. I make every penny count.
Did I set the price right or is it too much?
no, by "seeing it all" I see the bigger purpose, the bigger game.
I'd never be a miner unless I had the money (ISK or real) to run 10 multiboxing accounts.
I get bored fast of everything, and if I don't get bored, I start seeing all the bad things that are or that could go wrong, and eventually I decide the odds aren't worth the effort.
That's something I always tell to psycologists, but I got the impression I'm always talking to some modern-ish idiot, or that I'm wasting the doctor's time, he may have to make with more serious cases than me rambling about my shit. I always sense this detachment in my interlocutor.
>That is a shame but couldn't you buy plex with ISK?
I could easily sub and then PLEX my account for 2-3 months with FW plexing, but either the repetitive or the lowsec epin pirates who blob your 600k ISK stabbed ship with T3Ds and scripted interdictors eventually make me desist
Too expensive. I translate my misery in game. No way I'm gonna pop a 10 million fitted frigate only for the enjoyment of some fat worm peerate with 2 afk carrier alts in Deklein.
As such I never got any actual PvP skill nor experience save from the two roams I did when CalMil had a bare minimum of organization and the duel arena of my corp.
I think I understand how PVP works but I really don't like the idea of 10million ISK of frigate, or worse, billions if we are talking capital fights, go down the toilet in the span of a second because primaried.
I always like fitting my ships, studying the fit on pyfa. I always take religious care.
building T2 rigs requires invention skills
>At moments I had 300mil worth of salvage waiting to start making rigs, then I figured how much of an headache that was and I sold it all wholesale to my CEO.
10 millions time 10 frigates it's 100milions
that's a small fortune, 1 /10th of PLEX price, or 1/8th of what it used to be
the point is that I don't like blowing my own stuff dude free ISK lmao xDD
and what are the odd against me if I go in a FW plex looking for a fight?
Won't I find some faggot full minmaxed?
PVP requires persistance and a persistant flow of money in, and I have none spare of both
>inb4 I get all my money from players shiny loot xDDD
we all know of your carrier m8 :^)
It shows only Industry V to me, but every type of rig requires all those different skills - high energy physics, nanite engineering and shit. I might get it all to level 1 or so later.
It just shows how little you know about the game. You're just another bear who got bored. It's normal, happens to every miner, it doesn't give you any special insight about the game. Fuck off
>tfw made this when i was allout of all out
>im now in all out
there are two people who i've talked to who expressed interest in joining the alliance if their corps took off. One of them used to be in in all-out and decided to drop in order to start a corp along with his friend and focus on industry, and the other was talking in this thread about starting up a booster cartel somewhere in lowsec. are you either of them by chance?
I dont even think the eu dream team browses /b/
that's a tentative mark in favor

What about Guristas? They're pretty 'normal pirates', aren't they?
From the wiki:
Unlike other rogue factions, the Guristas focus primarily on old-fashioned piracy, although they're not afraid of making surgical raids deep into Caldari space if they think doing so will achieve something worthwhile.
Something less meme?
>implying irl crime organisations aren't similar
Guristas are oldschool pirates, serpentis are druglords, Angels are like indiana jones nazis, BR are ISIS, Sansha are Soviet.
The empires cucked him out of utopia so he turned his people into zombies with the truepower the only remaining few with sentience
as with all lore and esp pirate lore, I recommend people read the first novel.
>I'd never be a miner unless...
>As such I never got any actual PvP skill nor experience save...
What is it you've seen again?
> I always sense this detachment in my interlocutor.
You're the complex creature that sees over and around and through everything from the couch, without actually ever acting, that detachment you sense is boredom and disgust.
Full-on crazy religious nuts
Super-cool space zombie reich
>angel, guristas, serpentis
hurr, I am a weed smokin pirate, lol
self-replicating space cancer
angel, guristas, serpentis confirmed for the worst faction
CCP what the fuck are you doing?
Slight speed drop to the current top-dog of T1 frigates to help even out the field. The Tristan is a great and flexible ship, and doesn't really need to be quite as fast as it currently is.
It already is the slowest gallente frig, and now has its speed reduced to 5 m/s faster than a fucking merlin.
If you put 2 nano rigs and a nano low into the tristan, it is faster than the other combat ships that have 400 base speed, marginally, BUT THAT SACIRFICES A SHITLOAD OF CAPABILITY AND ALREADY TURNS THE SHIP INTO A PAPER BALL THAT DIES IF ANYTHING TARGETS IT!
It's like they think the concept of balance is a popularity contest.....
Guristas are shit tier, serpentis are meth lab whores, and angels are AIDS.
Not him but I do it when there's multiple targets
Also, which is better? (Check pic)
not necessarily, remember that a nanofiber allows you to turn faster, accelerate faster and hold tighter circles around an enemy, you're also able to sling shot better because of it
It dosn't work like that, the only reason to split if when shooting all at once is overkill, mostly against shitty NPCs
If your ship maneuvers like a 60s Cadilac you want to nano it up, if it maneuvers fine and all you want is speed for kiting or catching people overdrive is usually better.
Not on my shitty frig it isn't.
Guess overdrive is definitely better for this then?
Use the Type-d restrained because its better in a few ways
1. its half the structure penalty, 10% vs 20%
2. you get like 95% the bonus of the T2, the difference is virtually unnoticeable
that's how it was from the start.
When a ship with -60 base m/s kites you....you have to make sacrifices.
At this point, Tristans are stuck being brawlers, and laughably sling shotted.
Suck my diiiiick Mordu. Today is a good day.
Not him but have you ever considered that some people play EVE for fun and not because it's a second job?
>Industry is pointless, you can make more money doing L4s!
>L4s are pointless, you can make more money doing L5s!
>L5s are pointless, you can make more money doing wormhole escalations!

Nice try you pimp asshole but I know where this path leads.
>decide to see how lowsec salvaging pays

this is silly good newbro money, and the supply is pretty much endless
Well my only level 5 racial ships are Caldari frigs/cruisers and Minmatar dessies. Never really experimented with other ships in pvp other than my raptor, svipul, and moa. Would be a pretty easy train for an ecm boat
Since they would be primaried more than likely, should I just try out a griffin?
just realized i'm not even combating for lost drones. i bet people go out of their way to pick up faction drones on gates, but stuff in deep space is more likely to stick around.

you get 25% more powergrid, but you also get a reduction in powergrid usage on guns. the 280mm fit requires top skills and 2 powergrid rigs if you want to fit a microwarpdrive, and everything else on the fit is 1 powergrid per slot
>Corp needs more logi
>I'm only 2 days from being able to fly a Guardian so why not, start training that shit

>polarized weapons have like -25% fitting requirements
>there's no polarized artillery
guardian has more tank, and it's a lot more cap stable with cap chaining than augoror.
also your corp is going to be really gay and tell you to fuck off if you don't have logi 5. get that augoror, T1 ships are more fun.
>polarized kronos with 253k EHP
>tfw 5M fit got me 230M bpc
It only took 5 minutes of crawling behind that faggot.
A few days ago there was a bizarre outburst of ERP-prostitutes in jita local, that's pretty much it.
>Augoror seems to have better range, transfers and reps.
it doesn't. the T2 logi cruisers are supposed to use large modules in the highslots. the T1 logi cruisers are supposed to use medium. don't ask me, it's fucking stupid, but in practice, they have similar rep amount and range, with T2 having a little more. the real reason to use them though is the tank.
if you want to be cheeky though, using undersized deadspace reps to get a huge tank is pretty fun. smalls on a T1 logi or mediums on a T2 logi. can be expensive, but it's quite efficient in fleets where logis are usually less tanky than the other ships and get killed a lot.

How are people able to fit it decently with this anemic pg?
but some gm (or csr or whatever they're called in this game) actually talks to each new trial account about 2 days in
I tried ignoring him the first time
but he started sending me mail until I responded in the private chat
it's actually really off-putting, even when i was playing legit with one account
the GM's are very involved in the affairs of new players, EVE is a tough game to get into so they want to make sure that people can find what they want and need. CCP spends a lot of effort on collecting data from new players and how they can better the new player experience.
Please don't give the GM's a hard time, they can't see your IP so they don't know how many clients you're running
>THERE'S A BLOOD RAIDER SITE IN HERE
if you're one of a lot of haulers that carry hundreds of millions in the cargo of a ship that has barely 5k tank, you're gonna get ganked
its not autism, its a business opportunity
>why do people think there are valuables in this ship used to haul valuables?
they do though believe it or not there are retards carrying hundreds of millions in a ship that can be ganked by a 6m isk catalyst
any of the haulers can be, any missed opportunities are missed opportunities at making money
This is bretty gud. People are selling researched bpcs.
Why are you being so mean to him?
i also briefly looked into reprocessing as a way to minmax selling random crap as minerals rather than mods, but didn't feel like rolling my own spreadsheet/program and the existing ones seemed out of date or 2deep4me
Joined the mining chat channel, didn't regret it.
>tryin to be pvper

>finally some genius tells me to get get a link alt fag
>mfw it actually worked
god damn why did so many people waste my time with this 30 day rifter shit and slicer videos? do people actually give advice in this game when they have never actually done it themselves?
Not as new to need links to git gud at pvp
>start playing over 3 years ago
>links were just as borken then and everyone was complaining
>decide not to train my alt into links as they would surely do something about them
>3 years later
>still nothing done about them
>i'm just about to finish up my link skills
such is eve, faggots.
I only use them if i'm fighting outnumbered is that ok?
but newer than someone who knows that the "little patches" are being replaced by once in 6 months expansions. So gg faggot I'll be using links until I quit.
exactly. Links are super powerful. Not using them is like not fitting all the modules on your ship because it's an unfair advantage against ships with less fitting slots.
>first there were big expansions
>then (now) there were small patches
>in the future there will be both big and small updates
what's so hard to understand?
also brain in a box is coming out in like three days and it's the most definite step towards removing OGB we've ever seen
1: according to ccp's seagull's roadmap videos
Easy way to fix links.
>Make them only work if they're in the same grid.
>Cannot be used in the same grid as POS.
>Cloaking damages the modules by 20% per minute even if not activated.
>When links are activated they can be seen on the overview like cynos
>Can't use the interdiction nullifier with modules installed.
except that only the first one is required and the rest are counterintuitive and detrimental to gameplay. just make links on grid with optimal + falloff. say, 25km optimal, 25k falloff.
then again people have been saying this for literally years.
They are not being replaced, they're just waiting on some features that make sense together so they can make bigger releases once in a while. See for instance Parallax and the december patch will have lots of shit but not be considered expansions.
Agree, I was talking about december mainly. They mentioned in fanfest that they wanted biab to be released on its own so it wouldn't create random issues with other new features. That might be why everything goes on december
atm, everytime you do ANYTHING the server processes all relevant modifers that apply, skills, implants etc.
biab moves that shit onto a dedicated server and makes the calculations onlyhappen when a change happens
Like I know what it does, bgut what does it REALLY do?
Have you guys seen it in action in test servers?
Are we looking at being able to jump gates and join fleets instantly?
Instant gate jumps?
Warp pod the milisecond your ship blows up?
what it does right now is drastically reduce the amount of time required to (re)load the grid whenever you
>undock from a station (important)
>jump through a gate (important)
>refit from a mobile depot
>pull your implants
>gain or lose links
a large proportion of the lag from big fleet fights wasn't from things happening in the fight at all, but from people entering/exiting the system and docking/undocking. This should remove all of that, leaving only the computations necessary to run the fights proper. from what i've heard from people who participated in the sisi tests, performance is noticeably better.
of course, this will likely not affect you as much if you are not often participating in large group activities. however, the restructuring of the code means that more changes are now possible to make that were impossible before, so future change might affect you more than the immediate ones will.
doesn't matter much these days if it's your main account because you can get an eve website login even if you start it from steam. if it's an alt account that you intend to multibox at some point, don't use steam. if you're considering steam because of some deal they're running, screencap/link/tell us what it is and we will be able to tell you if it's actually good or if you should do something else.
It's mostly because I can get steam wallet codes easily, without anything of that online payment shit.
Can I buy plex from steam for a non-steam account at least?
Also I come from a poor country, for some reason prices are cheaper on steam
You can't buy from steam if its not a steam account iirc.
So just do steam, don't think you can get the free 30 day trial tho but makes sense if you can only pay with steam wallet.
I'm just going to blog out of frustration and hopefully get advice out of it but

I was told this was the hardest part but fuck when does it end? I've spent more times docked waiting for skills than actually playing. I love a lot of things about this game but the skill wall is driving me up the wall.
Theres a newfag in this thread making thousands of money every day on a 2 week pilot, I'm sure you can find him he has the screen resolution of a potato.
If you put effort into it, money comes on its own.
But like you said, you stay docked all day and money won't come that way.
As for missions, post whats your problems and skills/ships you can fly and maybe we can help.
