PD:TH's higher difficulties were so boringly hard though. There wasn't a lot of strategy, just optimal weapon choices and map knowledge. The only reason it was "hard" was the immense damage and the shitty gun selection.

DW is stupidly hard too and relies much on luck with spawns. Well, at least from what I've seen. My team of friends is so stupid they keep downing even on VH (not so much that we wipe though), no matter how much I tell them what skills to build, perks to choose, weapons to equip and how to play, even with voice chat. And playing with pubs or randoms is not really my cup of tea.
This game is a challenge even on normal mode. You still have to coordinate with your entire team to take down shields and such. You elitist no lifers calling deathwish easy are just trying to boost your self-esteem by doing something hard and blowing it off like it's nothing.

It's not just weapon skins at this point, unless Overkill are extremely incompetent twats.
They knew they would be adding more and more skins, so they must have build some kind of structure to be able to add more of them easily. They pumped out four of them in quick succession, and plan to add workshop support for it, so they definitely have a structure for it. But no, they're having issues upon issues adding it, and not just them, but Valve. This just doesn't make sense if it is simply weapon skins.

my recollection of the exact timing is a little fuzzy. during crimefest, the COP skins resource file names were leaked on day 3 and some of the code was added in day 4. on day 5, Lone_Wolf and an unnamed Overkill insider posted on /pdg/ about some of the internal discussion about skins and by day 6, all data for COP skins were removed from public update files.
You can solo it kind of easily, but I did it with 3 retards (singlehandedly guided them, wiped twice).
What do you need? One player with a HE shotgun, AA12 is what I used. Everyone else just goes nuclear with whatever heaviest hitting shit they can afford; Thanatos and RPG for instance.
Camp up in the left room (with all the small walls and the table in the middle). AA12 HE weapon user just stunlocks everything by the doorway, everyone else nukes. Repeat until done drilling, then bumrush out with the loot.

It generally means you're 100% fucked if you get cloaked, tased, or otherwise downed, since nobody can help you up. Also, you'll look like you're in places you're not, which can fuck over your coordination with your teammates.
I think desyncing can sometimes be beneficial since enemies won't target you, but I'm not sure on the specifics of that. I think it differs if you're a host vs a client.

Bipods are a large part of what make MGs good, yeah. Without it, they're decent close-range room clearers, but that's about it.

I still see people desync, so I don't think it's entirely fixed yet.

Overdrill is 70% standing around doing nothing, so it's not all that surprising that pubs can handle it

In the old lines, it sounded like Bain was genuinely trying to figure shit out under pressure. Now, he just sounds like some goofy retard. Plus, the whole "I'm XX% sure!" thing comes off as an obnoxious forced joke to me.

Considering how it relies now on a simpler and same logic for every lines, you don't have to worry if it's a "Fuck me, it's caustic soda" line, it can feel a lot easier.
So far as the system goes, there is only two possible ways the cooking lines are going: If Bain say a first ingredient than a second one, the second will end up being always and always the right one but if Bain doesn't name another ingredient after the first one (the 79% lines being pure bullshit and don't matter), then it's the first ingredient he said you have to add.
It's always these same two patterns.

That sounds pretty swanky but i feel like we already have plenty of decks around "do x get health". The armor pen is a nice touch though. Maybe make a deck around head shots where in order to get health/armor you get an increasing amount for every headshot hit in succession.

Extremely fun on Overkill and under, you can one-slash every enemy under a FBI Green, Greens go down with like a quarter second of charging up, and Tans go down with life another quarter second charge.
Sociopath is a clear winner because of armor regen on a 2 second cooldown and showdown locks down groups with panic just begging for some folded steel.
Berzerker is great for pulling out a quick one hit kill slash if you get lit up too much and actually lose health.
Ammo is for saws or if the group doesn't have it.
Fully Loaded is pretty much just filler.
Infiltrator doesn't have as much staying power because the health restore is on a 10 second cool down, has no armor regen ability, and the lack of Showdown means enemies don't cower before you while you cut them down.
Infiltrator does have the melee damage bonus though, so after one or two hits, you start one shotting Greens and Tans, and if you do manage to stay in the fray you can probably start cutting up Tazers.
Of note, Pumping Iron Katana strikes can oneshot Overkill Shields. I didn't know they had less health than the FBI Greens whose model they use.
Still sounds pretty OP. Grinder gets around that much health but on something like a 6 second cooldown, minus the ability to penetrate, and penetration hits probably wouldn't be very hard to get on some maps (especially with fully automatic weapons).
Nah, shit idea. What they should add instead is rare weapon skins that have 25% chances to remove the pagers from gensec guards.
Also bonus points if they sell infamous drills for 5$ each where you have 10% more chances to get rare skins.
Add a sight to the Thanatos.
Replace Military Module with LED Module.
Unless the point of the Deagle is TO BE silenced, remove the silencer in favor of Flash Hider.
Replace Micro Laser with Combined Module.
Replace Zerker with, say, Bullet Storm, unless you plan to use it. This will save 3 points.
Sharpshooter Ace is not important for snipers.
Shockproof is of questionable use.
You're fucking nuts to be using tripmines without Shaped Charges Ace.
Sensor Mines are nice if you use them but not important.
Enter Fugitive Tree -> Hidden Blade Ace -> Run and Gun Basic for some extra, much needed speed.

Bots are just bullet sponges. They have no other use or capability. They don't give a fuck if you go down, you'll have 50% of them picking you up if there isn't a cop on the map. Pistol Jebus is of infinitely more use in that regard.

They're a lot better now even if the Brenner is still disappointing in terms of stats considering it's level 75 requirement.
New lmg is fine even if it add nothing new to the table. Still an excellent alternative for poorfags who can't afford dlc.
All of them except the new one, which is pretty much just a lesser M249 KSP, and the RPK is outclassed by the Brenner.
MG3's fire rate makes it a monster in CQB and great at Dozer Busting.
Brenner has decent enough accuracy it can actually counter-snipe after a few shots.
And the M249 is an okay middle ground.
Yeah, that's the main idea.
For the safehouse halloween achievements, you'll need to find the right baby mask scattered around the level and not simply finishing the levels. For the other achievements, it's more a question of "git gud" .

I did it with 3 friends, we all had bag skills and it took forever. I'm never doing overdrill again unless a friend wants the achievement. It takes ages, after infamy V you don't need money or xp, there is no challenge to it after the thermal drill, someone might fuck up the pattern. After playing for so long, moving that many bags doesn't feel like a reward

bring an explosive weapon of your choice, kill a cluster or two of cops with your explosives weapon to ensure your accuracy, and then melee the rest. it's not particularly hard achievement, just long and tedious, so I figure a lot of people don't have it because of how circumstantial it is

Problem isn't with pistol damage
Problem is AR's are completely useless since they do pistol damage and they have half the accuracy.
If AR's did somewhre 80 damage out of the box and had around 70 accuracy on avarage while pistols did whatever they do now and had around 50 accuracy things would be okay.
Pistols are literally lazers and IRL long barrer lasers are less accurate than a 13th century chinese musket firing vodka

Download Goonmod, enable extended inventory, enable Gage Coins and Gage Shop. Have me or someone else run you through Jewelry Stores or Bank Heist Cash and get all the packages. Spend Gage Sheks on masks, mats and patterns/colors instead of on weapon attachments.
Attachments are not dynamically given out according to what you have equiped. If you have 21 guns in your inventory and want to put a King's Crown Compensator on all of them, you'll need 21 Compensators, not 2 just for your primary and seconds.
If you are going to go this far to cheat why not just have something where you can spawn the shit in your inventory?

So do you get marked at all for goonmod, namely if you use exclusively just the gage coins? The
gfand I usually just play alone anyway so it'd be nice to just pick and choose what we want by still earning it to some degree. I just don't like that bad goy mark on my name.
I have noticed this exact thing anon, but it's not that they stop dropping altogether, just the chance goes down significantly. I still get 3 and 4 of random masks and shit attachments. But ever since I started actually doing dailies to help out and the offshore gambling, masks/patterns/colors start dropping at a very noticeable rate.
Nah, you can only get two of every attachment from card drops. If you have an attachment equipped,it doesn't count as being in your inventory, and you can still get them from dailies.This rule doesn't apply to masks, patterns, colors, etc., only to weapon mods.
No, you don't get marked at all for Goonmod, maybe unless you use the mutators. The only thing that marks you to my knowledge are
dlc unlockers, but since Gage doesn't let you buy DLC-locked items unless you have the DLC, you should be good.
