Can someone remind me the big dungeon at the start of Soul Hackers? It was some sort of training ground, floors were blocked depending on your power or something if I remember correctly. Where is it?
Is the Sea Ark hotel really a dungeon?
I thought it was just a safe spot for grinding, recruiting and healing if you felt like doing it, and
for the endgame dungeon.
Why do people say Cielo is useless on the first game and awesome on the second one?
Soul Hackers fag from the other thread here
I give up, I'll have to start the game over to remember all the shit, my stats and demons are fine and I know where I'm supposed to go but I can't get back into it.
Which means it's time to forget about it for now and try out Digital Devil Saga
>Jungo's voice actually fits him
I'm still laughing at how he sounds in English.
It could have worked if they didn't fuck up with that misleading no-fun-allowed anime.
that trailer is for an updated port, there was a lot more they could put in the trailer without spoiling shit. Also, we're still 4 months from the JP release so we get the good trailers right before release.
It's actually the best one if you aren't a law"brainwashing"fag or chaos"fuck everyone"fag.
That neutral ending was very mature and epic, you finally understand the meaning of being a human, that you are imperfect, but the balance between order and freedom is the only correct choice.
Also, who is insane enough to choose angels or demons in place of your own race?
So, I unlocked the Angel fights. I know that one is still in the EGG Facility, and that I have to fight them before I go to the Airport, otherwise I can't do them again. Can someone tell me where the others are, and if there are any other special bosses I can go do before I leave for the Airport?
Also, Serph is level 41 while everyone else is 48, if that affects anything. Also doing hard mode.
Haven't seen anyone confirm it yet, but it looks like the stats haven't changed from IV to Final. I can't read moon but side by side the characters look the same. This means we still have Str and Dex, yet no Vit.
>Atlus removed Providence the final battle version off of youtube.
Damn it Atlus. It's so good though and I don't want to go through the story again just to face Canopiss.
>Have to go to tumblr just to listen to it
That's quite an assumption since the entire system in SMT4 was hinged on the idea of there only being offense stats, and 'defense' being controlled only through resists and buffs or RNG based things(agility dodging).
I thought it was a MAJOR improvement since nobody invested in Vitality seriously anyway unless they ran out of other things to put it in(i.e. all the games where MC couldn't use magic, and were more boring because of it)
What I'm more concerned about is what, if any routes are going to be in SMT4F? Edgekun doesn't seem like he could become a lawfag, so I'm a bit afraid it's gonna be like Nocturne in the 'Chaos is the only fun one so we'll give you shitty reasons that all fall under Chaos instead'
DDS2 question, do I need to care about which bonuses I put in every ring? Should I just save them to put them in end-game rings?
Based on the way they talked about it in the NicoNico stream, it seems like instead of the traditional LNC system, they're focusing more on 'Monotheism', 'Polytheism', 'Deicide', and likely some other 4th option related to Humanity or 'Rejection'. Daguza seems to be the advocate for Deicide, and Vishnu for 'Polytheistic Group' (for lack of a better word), but it's not clear yet whether the Monotheistic side will be divided up into separate halves for Lucifer and YHVH.
Seems milder than his were, but something like that, yeah.
He's already dead. He meets the protag in the underworld.
That doesn't sound entirely terrible, depending on the context. Still worried about the design of the MC, it honestly doesn't seem very congruent with SMT4, it's even a little edgy for a Chaos hero.
Also, no shotas pls
I don't think the motorcycle jacket-esque design is all that bad, the different patches and logos give off an almost Akira vibe and the shoes/pants remind me of DDS. I just don't like how young he looks.
The strange is, the art style in some of the cutscenes (?) is pretty different from that main piece of art, both for MC and his friend, so maybe Doi isn't doing those.
that looks like that's from a website that users sign up for and display their achievements or something
cause I know for a fact persona 4 golden sold way more than 52k copies.
Is P4G PAL and NA separate trophies then?
Why is TDE considered chaos? Just because Lucifer?
Instead of being a useless asshole who just resets the world so it happens again or a tyrannical asshole who wants to make a shit world you try to rebel against the system and free all of creation of this bullshit.
Because individual worlds have structures and rules in a way. If you destroy all human worlds, and have the people just kind of exist outside them, the reality would probably end up more like strange journey's dark world.
I think the real question is why was lucifer trying to destroy the world in nocturne. It doesn't match well with his usual gaian earth worshipping religion.
So? Law and chaos as terms aren't defined relative to gods. they're ideologies that the demons usually hold, but which in certain games like nocturne are mixed up. No one thinks that fallens in nocturne are acting very chaotic.
Just started Nocturne for the first time about 4-5 hours ago. I was playing Strange Journey before but damn, Nocturne is fun.
>Finally got a 3DS (well 2DS used from Nintendo)
>Finish SMT IV
>Patiently wait for Soul Hackers to go on sale as people say Atlus games go on sale on Eshop all the time
>Soul Hackers is $10
>Nintendo eShop is down
I'm pissed desu. How long do eShop sales stay active
That still makes their reasons Chaotic. That's like saying that every ending in SJ is Chaos because they all utilize the Schwarzwelt which is chaotic. It doesn't really work that way.
The great will isn't law. It isn't really anything other than a vague concept that demons in-universe anthropomorphize into agreeing with them. Since its the summation of reality, viewing reality as a unifies whole rather than its parts is metaphorically lawful.
Either way, law as defined by mainline games is not something you can say yosuga is, since it is the equivalent of mainline chaos, but only not called that since there's an even more meta chaotic seeming option. Its stupid to ask what alignment some things are in this context though, since as defined by mainline standards law and chaos mean specific things relative to eachother that break down when trying to also use other definitions of law and chaos and making vague options that skirt the line. Its arguing about semantics. They don't use the words law and chaos in that game for a reason. And its because it would be pointless to try to slot them in a way that makes no sense.
>Put Naoto in your party
>Congratulations, you've won every non-boss/FOE encounter already.
Nanashi no Game sequel confirmed
So, I just beat SMT 1 for the first time. Man, that game is rough. Boss fights are a joke difficulty wise and the encounter rate is ridiculously high, especially near end game. I thought the story was cool, and it still had that classic demon fusing formula. But please tell me that SMT 2 is much better or else I don't know if I even want to bother.
Also I got the neutral end, how are the other SMT 1 endings?
>Also I got the neutral end, how are the other SMT 1 endings?
They're basically the same. Instead of the old man, Lucifer/Michael come down and congratulate you for realizing their world of chaos/law, then the game ends. SMT2 is better.
One is at the processing plant/prison. One is at the big headquarters tower, and the one is in the EGG facility like you said. After you beat them, you can go back an area near where you start the game, the place where you can go outside and see the sky, and fight them all again. Once you fight them all again, the fourth one appears and once you beat them, it unlocks a new mantra.
I don't remember there being anymore hidden bosses before you go to the airport, so you should be able to run through those bosses and then head out.
2 is 200x better. The art is way cooler, and actually stylized rather than looking like someone just couldn't afford anything more than a six year old with paint. The battles while still archaic are actually tolerable. The story is even better, and its just all around a better game.
Its not michael. Its just a mysterious unnamed blue robed messenger from god. Unless they indirectly imply it was michael without saying.
2 and KMT improve on 1 in every single way, it's one of the main reasons why everyone says you should play 1 before them, so you can appreciate how much better the later games were
Megami Tensei the Mahou Shoujo series when?
>Five girls were chosen to save the world from demons and false gods with the power of love, friendship and magic!
-and also with blessed ancient weapons and holy texts of every religion known to man
>each girl is from 5 different monotheism; zoroastrianism, vedism, judaism, christianity and islam
>with their comps, they transform into magical girls to eradicate the world of living magnetite amalgations summoned through the devil summoning program
>their comps allow them to summon digital angelic brings to combat the forces of chaos
>the main antagonist will be Lucifer and his demons
>followed by deicide of other beings like Izanami, Shiva, Ogun etc.
>mascot fairy is a cherub calling himself an avatar of yhvh
plot twist will be that it is just another digital false idol just as the other demons who has been playing the human race for wars between theologies. This cause the girls to start working together with their once fought demon enemies to fight yhvh mascot an his army of angels
You wanna fight, m8?
SMT 2 has shit magic (Good luck dealing with Girimekhalas), has even more BS (Like you get level 20 enemies when you are like level 7), negotiation is a mess, and Mag is scarce as fuck.
Good story and improved fusion but thats it.
When are we getting vol 2 of Quantum Devil Saga dammit?
Are there fan translations?
Oh, weird. It was showing a suspended page just a day ago.
I mean, it hasn't been updated properly in a year, but still. Kills my soul when that or the DDS forum never really took off enough to attract people to give more of a shit about SMT.
There's plenty to discuss. There's just a few people here who don't want anything but new game information to be discussed, and so every time new people come they drive them off and have a dead general again. And so conversations go nowhere since no one hangs around. I think some of these people have legitimate autism. Not 4chn buzzword autism, but seriously. Since when asked why they have a problem with this, they literally have never provided a real answer, but insinuate that it should just be emotionally intuitive to everyone. This is how people with autism actually function, since they don't understand that random things they want aren't universal, but just personal desires, and so they don't understand that their own personal emotions are not a universal standard that matters to anyone else.
Anyway Kaga is still alive in SMT IV Final somehow?
Rei's just tsuntsun for Kouji but she's kind of frigid desu my senpai, you get more of a sense of that from SH I think.
As far as I know, no? She's more of a plot device and nobody will believe you about you being You. It might be discussed near the end of the story.
Explain how I did it only knowing how to read some hiragana/katakana nigga? The good thing is that most of the conversations are fairly repeatable, and if you don't want to deal with it, just grind magnetite and use the compendium in the PSP version. It's EZ mode but if you really can't deal with convos it works.
Chill nigger. I'm tired of hearing about this boogeyman. This is probably one of the more composed generals out there, when was the last time we had active shitposting?
Out of all of edge-kuns friends, this is by far the most unassuming and least talked about ones. What do you guys think about him or what significance he has on the plot?
My gut says he is going to be a polygod fan and maybe even a demon/reincarnation of some god. You get him after your first companion (your childhood friend) or after
Nozomi. Who would be the second friend to get.
>This is probably one of the more composed generals out there, when was the last time we had active shitposting?
When was the last time we had any posting before final? I pointed out that the general is dead since they drove everyone away. So you're asking about a completely different problem. This general is more or less worthless now.
Someone being eaten doesnt mean that someone dies.
Yes. It sucks to get alignment locked out of demon options.
No wonder you beat that game.
Shame about Rai and gf.
Guy who's playing SMT4 as their first SMT here.
My luck with this game seems to be really good. One time I had a really Agi-heavy team, and then when I tired to round it out, the next boss was weak to Agi.
I'm all the way up to Shibuya now, trying to find that club.
SMT is a really good series, I'm glad I'm giving it a shot.
Also, going Law for the first time around, saving Neutral for NG+
I can like, read about 10 kanji and can recognize a few words. It's like learning the alphabet and trying to understand full sentences. Devil Summoner works the same as SH, and if you can understand spells, items, and equipment you can get through most of it.
>Someone being eaten doesnt mean that someone dies.
Anon I don't know what you're expecting to come from her being eaten aside from being turned into a smelly demon shit.
His jacket also has the kanji for evil on it IIRC. He's probably a chaos demon in disguise, maybe another disguise of Lucifer's.
I did leave. I check back every once in awhile to find out whether its back yet. But that's like hoping to find an oasis in a desert. Better to just go by a place with real water able to be found.
You chose wisely. The wired thing is that even though law is the best ending, some of the things that give you law points make no context in the sense of the ending.
>people still complaining about law.
No one has made a single viable argument against law since the beginning of the alignment wars. Even if you want to go by coolness and edginess factor it still wins.
Law is equal to the old "protector of humanity takes away all freedom to protect them" trope.
At least in chaos it's been proven humans can equal demons in strength by fighting.
Wow. So people die in strife based situations. You kill people on every ending. If your argument is that [people experiencing untimely deaths is bad] then you lost already, since law minimizes those overall as the counterpoint to chaos in which people dying who are weak will be a staple forever, and so you have the other extreme. But this explains why you're nto attuned to understanding that.
I meant real points though, not descriptions of your emotional reactions against things you're unfamiliar with.
SJ was a multinational team of the best and brightest, plus Protag is meant to be from whatever country the player is from according to the devs.
Not that America's ever been evil in an SMT game. Dropping a nuke on Tokyo is old hat, and that Patriot fellow seems like a lovely chap.
In SMT 1 they nuked japan, in DDS they created the cuvier syndrome, they nuked japan in IV (?), all the nations fucked up the world in SJ and all the nations helped to stopt it (neutral).
SMT is anti US as fuck.
hey some one clear this up for me because it's been bugging me
Spoilers for IV anon
>IV's law ending is overloading the reactor to destroy tokyo
>White ending is destroying the reactor to end the universe
How does the same reactor produce two explosions where one literally ends a universe but the other only blows up 1 city?
I barely get commissions so I couldnt show you finished
the ones I did so far are super autistic and im not showing thatstuff but I try do doodle stuff for boards, keep in mind that its just doodles i make in 5 minutes max, So its not my best
I wish I could spend hours on a drawing for free
im poor anon I cant afford fancy pictures, thats insane!
I think it's because in the white ending they used their power to enhance its detonation, and in the law ending you're just conventionally blowing it up. Or something. Either way the white ending was done with their blessing.
No. You do it because doing so causes the creation of a world where strife no longer exists, and so overall deaths are minimized due to a situation in which peace is obtained, and people are altered to necessitate its continuing exists, which the omniscient narrator confirms is a plan that worked. You can't say its about "not liking the people there" gibberish when you take into account that in your process of doing so you not only address the fact that isabeau is a victim of circumstance, not someone who deserves death, and you further end up having to get rid of yourself ad even the angels as part of the plan, making it obvious that it has nothing to do with not liking anyone. What you are struggling with is the fact that you don't see past the immediate sense, and so don't realize that jut tallying the immediate negatives, and not the death prevention that stems from it is incorrect.
The angels wanted to save everyone from tokyo that they could too, but the point is that as the past showed, wasting time to find out how to just resulted in mastema and aquila screwing them over for literally a hundred generations until they got another chance. That's way more people having to suffer through shitty situations than the amount left in tokyo. Demons got out and they could no longer contain them, so they decided there was no more time and they needed to nuke tokyo now. What you're not understanding is that on the huge scale, plans that kill a few people to protect far more are acceptable. If they weren't, you couldn't even fight back when being attacked in war without mental hijinks. What you're doing is getting confused and focusing on only the killing, but not the fact that its done for larger overall protection from death. And so by defining [people having untimely deaths] as bad you therefore defined law as the best ending. At least make a serious criticism.
Im sure an embassador cant order a full nuclear wipe, thats a white house level of command.
Serph was american working on an american soldier project.
YHVH probably used the US again to nuke Tokyo.
>got bad ending
>I'll go back to get my chaos ending
>2+ hours worth a content left
Damn, glad I went back and got chaos. My NG+ will probably be law/neutral
I'm stuck atm on Seraph in the chaos ending. Purgatory is one of the coolest looking zones in the game
In IV Merkabah literally demands that Isabeau should be put to the death because she read some manga once. Please try to defend this.
>Im sure an embassador cant order a full nuclear wipe, thats a white house level of command.
I really doubt a small early 90s Japanese dev team would actually bother to research the US government system for their demons vs angels game.
I said I got the bad ending, my first run isn't done yet. I'm stuck at Seraph like I said, when I finally finish my first run ( as chaos) I will go for a neutral/law run in my NG+
>the scientist who fucked up was American therefore I'll blame America
It's not like he was ordered to flood god with stupid bullshit
also YHVH could have used any country to nuke tokyo because every country worth their territory has nuclear weapons.
No he doesn't. He points out that she read it, and that she is also your enemy. Considering that she's literally there to fight you to the death, he wasn't the one who started a fight out of nowhere. Plenty of people in mikado read books too, and are still alive at the end, so you clearly are not describing a hard and fast rule. Much less that you seem to e making the implication that its for no reason other than not liking manga.
>She is Unclean and would lead we righteous ones astray
Seems pretty clear cut to me. If you're exposed to elements that law doesn't like, even if incredibly minor, you're their enemy.
Probably but it was still launched from the US.
Yes, Heat a shit.
Thor is just a glorified henchman.
Again Serph worked on an american project endorsed by america, Beck being there as proof.
Your second point is about SMT IV or I?
Can anyone agree with me that Purgatory is the coolest looking shit ever though? It was the first time in the whole game that I went "wow that looks nice" why the fuck did they wait the whole game to show me a cool looking zone like this. Also any tips on Seraph?
Wow. What a coincidence that your enemies whose literal active goal is in fact to fight against you, which they are literally in the process of dong at this exact moment are in fact your enemies. That sure is a crippling blow. You should take that one to debate class.
Perhaps that'll show Atlus that they can't milk shitty games out of their popular franchises and get away with it forever.
And really, DAN is just a terrible rythm game all around if you forget about the P4 and fanservice flavour.
Unclean is the designation used for the people of Tokyo, AKA the people you entirely kill at the end of the game. She is Unclean because she read manga. The implications seem pretty obvious to me; if you read manga you'll be killed.
>Went into Kagome Tower expecting something like the Tower of Kagutsuchi or Karma Temple
Thor wasn't the actual person to launch the nukes, was he? I mean if God can slip in someone as an ambassador for America surely he can slip people into the higher levels of the American military. I just always assumed another agent of Law was capable of launching nukes from America if needed and did. Hell, I'd bet the American military (besides those working for Law) didn't want to launch any god damn nukes but failed to prevent it happening.
I think it is more about her mind being opened up to other possibilities that opposed god's will. Even at the beginning of the game she waffles between Walter and Jonny boy's positions.
No room for a waffler.
>I think it is more about her mind being opened up to other possibilities that opposed god's will.
Yeah, and that's garbage.
>if you read anything that gives you a perspective beyond what I want you to know, you'll be killed
I literally already pointed out to you that it shows in-game people who read things from tokyo but were not killed. If you don't have anything real to say other than pretending your point didn't evaporate then come back once you have anything to go on but emotional reactions.
It still portrays America in a bad way, Jenna is also an American isnt she?
Its possible but still seems like that was inspired by the Hiroshima events which japs still hates america about.
>don't put Naoto in your party
>Congratulations, now every encounter will last 10 minutes
After you reach the spooky dungeon, the game pretty much forces you to abuse hama/mudo unless you are a masochist.
That is how Law works. That is how you keep order, especially in a society with a class system like Mikado.
I'd take it over Chaos and basically living life as a moden day Iraqi.
Class systems are anti-law. Those are a result of a bad outcome that happens when random clusterfucks get in power and use law for their benefit. The angels came and got rid of the luxorors. Even isabeau on neutral points out that they're gone now.
Oh well even better.
Even if you somehow amass the most power and take control for a while, how long until you are toppled? Even the neutral ending sounds rough.
Give me my brainless thoughtless comfortable life.
>>Give me my brainless thoughtless
That kind of describes chaos though, desu. When you're literally constantly struggling to stay alive, there's little room for intellectualism.
if you want to see more of my stuff before making a decision you can also check my tumblr
I also drew these a long time ago for these threads
Didn't you learn from star wars? Even if no individual one can, then a group of them can unite to. Note that even in game lore, michael is far weaker than lucifer, yet is the one who cast him from heaven.
Didn't you learn anything from SMTII? They are chaos demons. Most of them don't give a shit about you, or even chaotic ideals save when they benefit, and just want your position for themselves. And in IV kenji was depressed since he really was the strongest, so his life was basically trashing random people who came to fight him all the time. Which gets really boring and depressing really fast, especially if many of them were former friends.
I wish that since we get the same demons over ad over again in every game anyways, including plot roles, that satan would come back. Zayin was a cool dude. And we need an interpretation of him again.
Anyone knows the name of this character and what happened to her?
>it's been too long since I've killed unclean wretches
>prepare to die, sinners!
>naw just fuckin with ya, what's good?
like or hate mastema, you gotta admit he's a funny guy
You ever finish your Parvati sketch? the wp looked really good
I actually found some jonathan/flynn and walter/flynn but in general it's mostly either what you said or the weirdest crack pairing. I also found Tayama/Flynn(badly done) and that guy who sells weapons and armors/flynn.
>that guy who sells weapons and armors/flynn.
>mfw imagining him saying "make sure you bring more macca next time" after fucking
Hey senpai does the wordfilter still function? I think it was the best thing to happen to 4Chan in a long time desu. Made checking other boards much more pleasant.
I honestly kinda hope it never stops desu.
Decided to give it another go just because of you. Suddenly it seemed easy and I even progressed with the plot. Guess I needed a push, so thanks. Maybe I'll finally finish it now.
I don't even remember this part of the second story.
>The girl in the game is of course a symbol and a projection of the hero’s image of women as based on his closest female reference, his mother. Finding her in the real world outside the game is an allegory for the shift from affection towards the mother to love for same age girls.
MT is weird.
So, when I originally found this, the site didn't even load. I was worried, and pulled up an archive.
Today, I go to finish copying it over, and the site works fine again.
It's... incredibly interesting. I know it's a wall of text, but if you haven't read it, you really should.
I put it on DDS Dork for posterity. The post there contains a link to this original one. Use whichever.
- brief summaries of the three novels + two MT games
- new material for alignment fag discussion
- the original creators thoughts, and his opinion of Law
SMT4 guy here.
All the way up to
Plutonow. Getting raped hardcore because I'm still Agi-heavy and I can't find a good demon with Bufu.
Does Long fuse into anything good? I can summon him with Bufula.
They should have had Isabeau field a group of 24 demons and summon ones after they fell and abuse the fuck out of Luster Candy, Deliberate or Antichthon, Samarecarm, and weaknesses. Make it actually feel like you are fighting another summoner.
the spinoffs have always been happier than mainline games, with the exception of Persona 2.
Like, in soul hackers the saddest thing to happen is killing spooky because he's possessed. DeSu 1 is about the closest a spinoff will get to mainline in terms of tone.
I can handle a happier tone, it's just the not-social links, the dick sucking and Yamato in general that's off-putting
It makes me feel like I'm playing something made by Idea Factory rather than Atlus
I couldn't tell who the hell Record Breaker was meant for. I mean, there's omnipandering, then there's clusterfuck like what Record Breaker does. Everything about it was a clusterfuck, from writing to pandering.
RB put a lot of effort into writing him into the story and writing his relationship with the protagonist, compared to everybody else who is just "there".
I have a feeling it's a case of blaming a character for the others being worse so they can have something to point at.
People like that do it often and are part of the DeSu audience, hence why I suspect it.
Nobody ever gets pissed off at Jun from P2 for being important, being heavily integrated into the story, and having romantic undertones with Tatsuya. P2 also has a very different audience.
It's more the execution when it comes to Persona 2 and Devil Survivor 2
Jun was genuinely well written in a game with a lot of well written characters and the romantic undertones were just one aspect of his character.
Yamato is bland and comes across as a poor attempt at pandering, partially because of the romantic shit.
Why single Yamato out for that when there's worse offenders in the game, then?
Despite those flaws he was still the best executed character in the game, and Io and Miyako were far worse in that regard.
It starts to look like jealousy the more I see people do it.
thanks, I have this weird thing for official wallpapers
I really just used him as an example of the approach to characters they took in DeSu 2 and especially in Record Breaker, not as the sole example of it.
Obviously there are other characters with the exact same shit that I didn't enjoy either, but the main focus was applied to Yamato. He was the best executed character in the game, but that's really not much of a standard to be held against.
For the record, I disliked virtually every character in the game, so there's not much for be to be jealous over.
complaints about him seem to always boil down to
because there's nothing else to complain about. he's a decent & clearly memorable character that worked well around whatever it was DeSu2's story was trying to do.
It's kind of gross how much the girls are objectified in DeSu2. Like, this is official art. what the hell
also just after posting this i realized how fucked it is anatomically
airi why are your thighs so goddamn chunky. why are your tits pointing upwads. why does it look like your back is broken
>thighs so goddamn chunky
Thick thighs save lives senpai
>why are your tits pointing upwads.
Because Yasuda balloon titties.
>why does it look like your back is broken
Do you even lordosis?
That's great anon!
I always considered that SH is the easiest RPG to pick up after a hiatus because of the diggests and how Nemissa reminds you of where you need to go most of the time.
Just remember to always have demons of your same level if possible; and also have at least 4 demons in your GUMP at all times, because you never know when you'll need a full team to fight something.
> Get Dekunda and Dekaja as soon as possible, obtained by doing the buff and Expel Mantra route respectively.
> Make sure to get Mutual Karma as soon as possible.
Does this mean I should have all characters go through the Expel/Buff routes or just Serph? Same with the Mutual Karma?
>Magic/Luck Noise is easier to obtain than Strength/Agility Noise.
Does this mean I should focus on Str/Agi for Serph?
SMT4 guy here.
I got through the Law world last night and started on the Chaos world.
The Law world was really interesting. I love games with heavy religious themes like that, and it was one of the most interesting depections of a Post-Rapture world I've seen.
Not like I believe in the Rapture anyway.
Kinda disappointed there's no YHVH though.
Minotaur was a few days ago.
You thought I was joking?
>It's kind of gross how much the girls are objectified
dunno much about phone papes but this pic is vertical enough you should be able to use it, if not with some modifications
>falls down stairs
makes me laugh every time
>thick thighs save lives
They're not even well draw thick though. They're pretty thin right below her butt, then they balloon out to a ridiculous width. They look bloated and weird.
>Beat up Ronaldo
>Yeah, you guys are amazing... You're all cool people.
BRB KILLING MYSELF
>Beat up Yamato
>Something something It would have been different if you were with me something something
Which SMT games have the protagonist/party use realistic weaponry? For example in Persona 5 the protagonist is a criminal that uses knives/guns which is appropriate. However in P3/P4 the protagonists uses a Sword Shord/Sword which is quite frankly stupid because two regular high school schoolers would not be able to use swords as effectively as they do in the games plus their pretty much impossible to obtain in Japan.
I don't remember. I was going through on the Al Saiduq Route, and I think
Yamato attempts to keep fighting, gets mortally wounded, tells Bunny to follow his own path and be strong or something, then jumps off of a cliff and blows up mid-air.
So I'm almost done with SMT 4, and I've been wondering about the next game to play. I also finished Devil Survivor while I was partway through 4, and ended up finishing DeSu 2 as well.
What's the better place to move next? Strange Journey, Soul Hackers, or Nocturne?
look for a copy if you can, some regions have trouble finding it but I actually got a used copy (with the box and CD too holy shit my luck) for 15 bucks
but emulation is fine as long as you arent savescumming and ruining the experience
I got mine for 11 at gamestop
I was so happy when I got it
I doubt that you can avoid it with a different route.
Don't know for sure though, just started playing recently, walking around with Charlie. That fucking asshole ruins every flirt with qts, we'll both die virgins at this rate
>also YHVH could have used any country to nuke tokyo because every country worth their territory has nuclear weapons.
Well, at least for SMTIV it's suggested that the entire world was nuked to dust in Blasted Tokyo. The original SMTI likely had a similar scenario, considering how Tokyo Millenium in SMTII is described one of humanity's few safe houses, which only makes sense if most of the world was in ruins too.
Guys, the Smazh Ballot results were posted.
Jack Frost would be a better addition than most of the shit being suggested, would be a good 2nd Sega rep as well. Oh well.
because they give us bad shoops instead of good art
>Reach the point where
Gin'sdeath clock is supposed to hit zero
>Waste time talking to people
>Save and come back to the game later
>Notice that he isn't on the map
There's a NG+ feature just in case I mess up, r-right?
I want to like these games so much, and I do, but I always quit mid-game because it gives so little direction that it's hard to continue without a guide, and using a guide feels cheap and is still complicated to figure out what it means and where it's telling me to go.
How do I git gud? I bought SMT IV and really want to at least beat it once.
They're JRPGs; they'll funnel you into the next plot point whether you like it or not. Whenever you're lost just think of the last arbitrary geological obstacle or random NPC standing in your way telling you to piss off, or wander around until you discover them for the first time.
I think some of the characters in Persona 1 have excuses like the MKR girls did.
Work-related back pain.
I feel like Walters "betrayal" seemed a but... not forced, but there wasn't much buildup. I forgot he was a Casualary and that he didn't like Johnathan for it.
I feel like there should've been at least a bit more tension between him and Johnathan or something.
