>What is Tree of Savior?
Tree of Savior is a new action MMORPG with a lot of classes and cute hats. IMC Games have shown an interest in an international release, and has begun testing the game in various other languages, including English and Japanese, even whilst the Korean version is still in testing. The game is currently in the beta phase, and not fully released.

Well this didn't take as long as I thought it would.
>started playing as archer
>rerolled because it felt slow
>mfw I went from 0 to bokor in 1 day on the cleric I made
Anything that's not archer and ranger needs a fix.
With that said though, what cleric skills would be the best for a Bokor?
I'm currently running 4heal, 2cure, 5safety zone and 4deprotect zone, but it feels wrong. And with stats, should I just slap everything into spirit?
Deprotect doesn't really help you and is massively, massively outdone by Sadhu's attribute that makes OOB attacks have a % (10%*attribute level) of decreasing enemy phys def by 30% for 4s~
doesn't help you but really fucking helps your allies
Archers are fucking broken later on. They just start off slow. Soon as you hit rank 4 you'll be laughing at most other classes, and by rank 5 even Highlanders are going to be jelly of how much damage you shit out.
What the fuck
Okay heal 5, heal to fucking 5
Safety Zone 5
You aren't going for melee so deprotect ain't gonna help you, and even then it's not that good.
Get a good amount of spr but pump that int like there's no tomorrow
1 pyro 2 linker
2 pryo 1 linker
1 cryo 2 psycho
2 cryo 1 psycho
Which is most useful, or something else entirely?
Whoever said the music gets better and better as you get to higher leveled areas a few days ago wasn't fucking kidding.
Card game is pretty meh. Needs more fleshed out so they stats actually mean something besides "this one wins cause more legs" or "this one wins cause shorter name". Has potential. I played enough to get my shadowgaler card to 5 stars for when I hit sorc.
While deprotect has helped me in some stupid situations so far, I'll remove it then. Not like I'm going paladin or monk at this point.
Wiz C2/3 is only good if you intend to go Elementalist and want to have a Meteor with retarded damage and speed. Before elementalist and especially at Wiz C2 leveling is slow suffering.
I guess I'll sell all of my cards to a sorc, then. I'll keep the flying skeleton one, though.
Finally, a nice way to start the lvl 75 trip
Love you branch farmer palapriest
Where's the 90 Dungeon again?
About in the same boat as you. There should be a few quests in 5F of Mausoleum that only unlock after you're 84. Sitting at 84 with about 16 Lvl. 5 Exp cards and about to head over to Tenet's to quest.
Full spr is only going to be useful if you were an idiot like me and decided to go archer c3 so you can spam level 15 oblique shots constantly
Otherwise str is gonna be your main stat.
it's more of a build to make archer3 not absolute dogshit and that's pretty much it
that said, do put some points into spirit early on, about 20 to have a bigger manapool so you can take down bosses, then just go into str
now, once you get to klapedia start spending money on the crossbow attribute from archer, max it asap, get a crossbow and just don't use bows at all, crossbows get 25% armor ignore with the attribute and that's gonna make them do way more damage than any bow
once you get ranger get barrage and start dumping money into its attribute asap, that's you main skill for both aoe and single target (it has a shotgun effect and all 5 hits go on a single target if close enough, it's sick for bosses)
I dont get it. I'm fairly happy as Archer C3.
Lvl 78 here, hitting 460 x 16 on Multi Shot with good crit chance of hitting 900...
Do other classes really hit much more than this? Honestly still havent found a monster that tanks it.
Yeah, too bad, would've paid 5k each if you were on lam. Just have to tell each other what we are playing so I could play the better card for the best chance to win it from you.
Oblique shot at level 15 does 446 damage a shot + your normal weapons attack, and it also richochets to another enemy. So for me that means around 700 damage a shot for 2 enemies as an archer, with no cooldown. It eats sp like a bitch though.
You also can't say its good compared to skills or even the autoattacks of the otherr classes that hit multiple enemies at once.
I tried kneeling shot, but only leveled it to +5 before i reset my stats, and didn't like it much. I can assume it would be good to sit in the middle of a room and spam it if you had a lot of health though. The saddest part is you can only autoattack with it.
The main problem with archer c3 is no multi target hit options. Any attempt at grinding has been awful for me, and many boss fights that spawn multiple enemies are annoying too. Other than that boss fights haven't been too much trouble.
I have friends, and that's the only reason I managed to level an Archer, but I want a Wizard now because pets suck.
But the other guy says the high cooldown is a drawback. I'll most likely have a party to play with.
I'm still looking for a Cryo3's input on pillar and whether it's useful
If you do Cryo, go for Cryo3 only because Cryo2 is like the weakspot of Cryo progression. All it contributes is extra levels to Ice Pike and Bolt, and access to Subzero Shield because Gust isn't anything to praise right now
I disagree, it's a lot worse to be roaming around in endless pointless quests like an errand boy. This system also means everyone will level in the same maps, fight the same monsters and get the same cards. You will have to do everything exactly the same whenever you make a new character.
I really hate the whole map progression thing as it relates to questing, it just takes the life away from everything.
Just got to C3 Bokor, Damballa is some good shit.
Ogouveve gives a ton of STR but it's only for the Zombies which still do crappy damage even with +120 STR. Zombies are pretty much Damballa/Tet Mamak La fodder now.
The cast times and poor/inconsistent damage of the skills makes them next to useless compared to pyro skills.
You basically need the quick cast buff from Wizard C3 to make it elementalist work.
Whatever you do, do NOT go Hunter, It doesn't work as a class right now at all.
So many hours wasted. ;-;
I hear Wugushi is pretty strong. You'll have some AoE if you go with Ranger, and coupled with Wugushi's godly single-target damage, it'll do you nicely.
If you're just now starting, I'd say go archer c1 -> ranger c2 -> wugushi or archer c1 -> ranger c3 -> fletcher c2. I think those are the best options for archer, not many people have played scout and I don't think they liked it much.
Quarrel shooter is supposed to be as bad as archer c2 or c3, except it apparently gets better at c2. Nobody has said much about hunter or sapper, but it doesn't seem like they are very useful.
barrage does more damage than multishot early on because you can shotgun it for 5 hits on bosses, multishot does scale better later in the game because more hits so more weapon damage applied but not really worth it imo
c3 ranger then gets spiral arrow which does really good single target and with that +barrage you are on par with multishot pretty much
Well usually for most Rank 5 classes
I think if you not gonna go C2 with it then dont bother
I think going Cry C3 then Linker and Necro probably seem like a better idea
but then I say you should still try Sorcerer out anyway and if you like it enough you can just go Soc C2 at rank 6
this is Beta and they gonna deleted your progress anyway
Might as well try as many class as you can
I went Sword C1 > Highlander C1 > Hoplite C1
Should i go for hoplite 2 or cata?
>literally none of the people I run into speak english
>solo for 50 levels
>take a break and sit down for a bit to read up some threads
>boy sits down across from me the entire time and doesn't move
>get nervous and log out
I heard the 2h spears worked well with highlander though, was that a lie?
>swordsman doesnt scale
>tfw doing 3k crits with thrust and spear lunge
>5% chance to proc multiple times
>with restrain, it does even more damage from bleeding
>swordsman c2 is bad
>koreans/jabans want game to be harder and less soloable
>international wants game to be easier and more soloable
>koreans complain about game being a rollercoaster and not allowing much freedom, tons of times mabinogi is pulled up as an example of freedoms
>japanese complain about lack of cute hats and overall customization
>international complains about fucking grindan being too heavy in the current situation despite people being already in the level 120s, and that bosses are too hard/long
I really really REALLY fucking hope they listen to Korea and Japan instead of International
Started this character today
Sword C1 > C2 > Hoplite > Cataphract > Hop C2+C3 or Cata C2+C3 (dont know yet, any advice?)
Does anyone know about companion stats?
Do they matter at all while mounted?
I have all his levels to spend
You realize, those Koreans were talking about the game before exp rates were heavily nerfed right? Not only did they have higher exp rates than we have now, they frequently had events that shit out exp.
Right now, Koreans have exactly the same exp rates as us, and even they are complaining about how shitty it is to level up.
>tfw bosses are easy as fuck
>but they are fun to kill
>tfw have to do all these shit quests and grinding mobs separably, instead of blowing a huge chunk of mobs in a tiny spot
Fuck, i just want to explode things
No pics/video but it's doing 1.2k per Zombie at Lv5 (I am Lv128 as full SPR) and you can explode 10 Zombies which is a lot of damage (with no target limit I'm pretty sure). If it's a freshly spawned Zombie, you can Damballa it twice since it does a flat 2000-2100 damage to the Zombie and mine seem to have more HP than that. Damballa itself can spawn Zombies when you kill things with it and the attribute can boost the chance of it happening. You can gather mobs with Bwa Kayiman and then one shot them all.
It's really good but it's held back by the long cooldown on Zombify.
What are the levels where exp gets harder to get or however it's called, how it resets every so many levels so it suddenly gets easier to level? I'm asking just to make sure I use the Exp Scrolls on the best occasion.
Please do! Everyones going Elementalist and it'd be great to get some more info on Thaum.
One thing I want to know is if monster max HP chances follow the same rules as players. AKA does their HP remain the same with increased size despite their max going up and does shrinking them reduce their current HP if the new max value is under it.
Hello /vg/, I'm a Chronomancer.
Here is how the game is going to go in international:
BOTS AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE YOOO HOO FUCKING BOTS AHOY
Please do give source, the only threads I've found are that people are complaining about there even being EXP in the first place because this way they can't beta test the game/report bugs in the later on game because they need to massively grind first, and then there are a few people who are complaining about party EXP scaling and how fucked the +110 level mobs are.
Are there any sort of side-activities announced for this game?
I feel like the grind is nice and PVP looks fun in video but if there isn't anything else coming to this game I don't really see it doing well.
I don't understand why we need max level 400 or whatever. They could just make it 1-99 and use the existing map areas making low level mobs around towns and higher level areas deeper in the wild.
You gotta have tons of jesus in your soul to get through leveling a cleric solo, holy shit.
Because they're Korean. They think MMOs are about the tedious grind. So they're going to keep the grind as you'd expect. But slap an extra 500 levels on top with more extreme grind involved.
Too bad grinding games don't work in this day and age. People expect a bit more out of games now.
Like GvG, gathering, pets, some sort of minigame? Non-exp questing?
Is this game intended to be just grind until level cap and AFK in town like in RO or does it have any ambitions going in terms of gameplay
>Been sat outside Legwyn dungeon all day
>I've seen countless people not meet the requirements for the instance dungeon
>So they quit
Hahaha. This is hilarious. You can just see the little hope they had left vanish.
Wow didn't even know these were a thing
How can I link to a closed Korean forum? Or to ingame chat? Even if I could post a link, you couldn't read it because you cannot access it. Even if you could access it, how are you going to understand it?
ANYONE HERE KNOWS WHO THIS CLEBER FROM TOSBR IS?
HOW IS ALWAYS THE TOP, WTFFFFF
Br's de merda, eu sei q vcs estão ai, alguém é da gangue dele ae no Zemyna? Contem os segregos do FAST EXP, macacos.
Half the game is client side by most actions still require a server side check to go through. Actions such as gaining exp, finding an item or changing maps all require the server to ok it first.
Japan has the greatest concerns.
And speaking of cute hats and customization, where can I get this goddamn cupcake?
Is Swordie C2 worth it for the new skills or upgrading the old ones before moving to hoplite?
Ok. So Wugushi is better unless this Ranger buff is absolutely amazing for Multi Shot. Is it? It can be upgraded 100 times with Attributes and the bonus is multiplied by 16 hits of Multi Shot...
He got in early and managed to do Legwyn instance dungeon with the first few people to hit level 132.
If you manage to do this dungeon you can go from 132 to 134, which will get you enough quests to hit 135, which gets you enough to hit 136, which is when the exp curve resets and from then to 145 it's very easy grinding.
This is how he managed to shoot ahead while everyone else is stuck waiting for enough people to run the 132 instance dungeon. Which isn't made easier by the fact that chat isn't working and hasn't been for hours now.
>How can I link to a closed Korean forum?
I do have a nexon korean account with the beta access, if that's what you're talking about.
>Even if you could access it, how are you going to understand it?
I can read Hangul.
Not sure what you mean.
Just quest and you'll level up. Shouldn't have to grind until the 100s.
I play with a party so I'm mostly keeping Hexing/Deprotect/Zalciai or heals up. Effigy and Tet Mamak La are strong.
Bokor has a red icon (damage) but it feels more like a green one (support). Mackangdal is incredibly good at saving people from dying.
Why is it all maps have to look like this? I mean, sure it's nice for mobbing and stuff, but it gets a bit old.
You can easily solo until Hoplite C1.
Getting to the third circle only takes half a day.
Plus, taunt will always be useful, cartar stroke from highlander will eventually just become useless.
IS THIS SHITTY MONSTRANCE ATTRIBUTE IN GAME OR NOT?
Been getting nothing but stellar random bow drops. It's gonna be an easy first few levels.
So the last few levels I've been spending some money on skilling up Zalciai: Magic Amplification. But I have no idea how magic amplification even works. Is it a flat magic damage bonus? Or rather a form of a percentage?
Also, does anyone have that C2 bokor picture?
It's more that you'll run out and have to catch up in levels for the next set.
I'm constantly changing it because I managed to get a lot of skill resets but I'm currently running this: http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/xmu2juwhei/
I wanted to pick up Samedieve but only getting half of the stat increases made me reconsider.
Of course, for example the way it works is that from level 10-17 its easy to get exp and level up but from 17 to 27 it's harder, and from 27 to 37 it gets easier again, not because there are less quests or places to grind but because it's literally designed like that, so it's be wiser to save the scrolls to use on lvl 17 to get out of that hole, these are just examples tho, I want to know the actual levels were this happens.
>leveling new char
>walk past bot fags farming the red kepa
>pick up a Meteor they left on the ground
the fuck is the point of bots if they don't even pick the good loot up?
Anyone have their bosses just completely stop?
Every quest boss since I started in Gate Route has just given up.
I'm level 132. Cartar Stroke 1 shots anything except bosses.
Also, to everyone on Gabija not level 132 yet. You're officially FUCKED. The only good leveling zone from 127 to 132 now has 2 dots for how full the channel is. It's not even good to begin with, but everything else is shit. And now it's full of people.
I hope you enjoy sharing your 20% exp an hour with all those BRs.
I got a similar point at 72, though Mausoleum has a few quests on the first floor to do, there aren't many. I'm sure I've missed some quests somewhere, but I don't know where or if any opened up at 70. Already went to Gyrtis and did those
I like it so far. I saw people in here complain about it being too electronic but RO was the same except this time they used way higher quality samples for their wubs.
Main town music is already stuck in my head all day.
Just ignore him, there is an infinite number of retards who think C1 cartar stroke is actually the be all and end of all damage in ToS just because its the only burst they have ever seen.
All these plebs who never made it 100+
i saw someone mention earlier about many players complaining about the lvl 70 so i wanted to ask wheres the best spot to grind at lvl 70~80? im out of quests that are doable.
excuse my shit build lal i had no idea on what to do i just wanted to play a psychokino
Amplification is a bonus that work like the max damage on physical weapon ranges.
IE: instead of the usual 100-100 (for example) magic damage a normal caster has, with 32 amp your spells now have 100-132 magic damage added to them
Here is a quick possible new OP picture i whipped up. Edit or change shit as you feel fit.
You guys missed out on playing the korean version.
At least look up some info or watch videos.
The only viable melee endgame currently are multihit ones of corsair and monk. Slow single hits are trash, it's all bout sitting in zalcai while hitting 8x a second
If you have highlander on a corsair character you will be laughed at and probably kicked from parties.
I'm level 132. My Cartar Stroke is literally doing 10+ hits at 2000-3000 damage each hit.
Have you done it? You get huge exp, and if it is your first character you get some money aswell. This way you don't rush quests and "run-out".
Something i also could mention is that you should save cards and only use them when you fall under 10 lvls from the zone you are in. So if a zone is level 80 and you are level 69 use some cards to get back into the level range.
Incase someone didn't know you can not obtain quests if a map is over 10 levels above you.
yea im in the same predicament, at ~70 were suppose to grind until we reach a suitable level for the following quests. im still searching where to grind but in the meantime i working on a diff char since i fucked up big time on my first one.
The most useful/efficient way for Corsair currently is sword>sword>barb>barb>corsair>corsair.
barbarian is good for levelling and compared to any other c3/4 choice, the buffs are at least still good once you're just autoattacking and hexaing everything with corsair.
Please rate my character! I just got done wasting tons of money grinding the white hair color out to match my ears!
It hits 3 times. But has an attribute that causes collision damage.
Either there is a bug, or lag is causing it, but collision damage happens every single time I use it, and results in a shit load of extra hits.
Who wants to become a pirate?
Is the sorc around from previous threads? So far which skills in C1 do you recommend people completely avoid paying attention to? I imagine it's skills like Hold and Attack Ground, but what spread are you considering for Summoning, Salami Minion, Servant and Familiar?
What is pardoner good for? Can i create scrolls of zaibas and use it more frequetly?
Also what are other good options instead of pardoner for someone who is c2 krivis?
I know, I don't mind though. I adore the game and will probably put far more time into it than I should.
Works alright when the server does. Hardly ever. Generally works alright in instanced areas though, the skills are super useful when they actually work!
idk man, ive solod to lv70 so far and am gunna start a new char on a diff server because
A.)im out of quests i can do
B.)i need to grind and dont know where to
C.)nobody wants to party up
C.)all of the above
Where the fuck should I be putting my stat points as a wizard tree class? I've been pumping con and spr since they give the best returns. Been able to solo everything so far at level 73, but fights are slow. Is it worth pumping points into int or dex?
As the only pistol class it has a tiny 4 skills so you're going to be heavily reliant on your previously learned bow skills. The majority of the skills frpm previous circles can't be used while mounted which means you're in for an awkward time of constant mount and dismount, Ranger is the only class completely compatible with the mount.
I don't think they're very well integrated at all right now but maybe pistols are strong enough to make it worth the effort I don't know.
>Everyone refusing to party up
>Priests start realizing they have to solo
>Discover on-hit damage priest builds
>Can solo and never die, never run out of mana, and never rely on anyone for damage
This is the future you chose dpsfags
You didn't want to toss these boypussies and now we don't need you either
>want to party
>nobody responds to party requests
>nobody responds to shouts
>party chat doesn't work half of the time
>people are unwilling to do quests that they already did
gee I wonder why
>What are quests
You can literally do quests from 1 to 120 or so without needing to grind more than maybe 5% exp every now and then.
Not my fault you're missing so many of them.
I am 33. Played his in normal explore everything and kill mobs on the side fashion.
You know what is funny? The current rates are three times more than the ones we had at the first CBT. So what you are experiencing right now is considered as
casual modefor the neets.
Oh I see it now. All those people who got to level 76 - 79 when they hit Mausoleum used the level 50 dungeon to boost to 60 THEN used cards while those who didn't are now buttfucked sitting on 69 - 72 with no more quests to do because they wasted all their cards on 50 - 60. Sounds about right?
>fighting versus Earth Archon
>probably the only person that did shit a dent by himself because there were no more cryos
feels good senpai
I party sometimes, usually grinding parties. I just like the ability to solo when I want to, and party when I want to rather than be forced to party. I've always preferred the choice rather than "you will now fight this boss with a party" being forced on you like in other MMOs.
>Highlander for Cartar Stroke, and actually being able to level
>Hoplite for 1H Spear ability, as well as Finestra(crits)
>Cataphract for mobility
>Corsair for utility and dual wielding abilities
It's wack, but Iam having fun. I think I'm going to roll Spear + Dagger. Shit's going to be fun.
I wouldn't mind the no quests if there were fucking dungeons to do for exp
If you try to do the level 50 dungeon after a certain point you get a whopping 0 exp for it
Also, how do I know which skills scale off INT and which off SPR? The simulator only describes like half of them. Should I assume that if it doesn't specifically say SPR then it's INT?
Yes those poor plebs without quests managed their path poorly. Too bad they don't have experience from other quest based MMOs to sit on a quest and milk areas that give great exp until it's shit and then turn everything in after
I'm going highlander3 and corsair2.
LET'S CONQUER THE SEA SENPAI
>Max level is 500
>only 10% base xp/hour
>mfw leveling from 499 to 500 may take weeks or even
>neets/hamsters(aka dense/dull/retarded players) will find this fun and enjoyable
Me, I'm the comfiest.Life becomes way easier with all the crowd control at C3.
spear+dagger is the worst possible dual wield
corsair generally uses hammer+dagger due to resist spread between them
corsair's most important skills aren't usable on a mount
you needed the sword 2 buffs due to dual wield attack speed and the warcries from barb 2
/tosg/ laughed at me for keeping cards
and also said you can get to level 85/120/whatever by pure questing. hell i bet you were one of those guys who said that too
you guys have the worst fucking advice
i guess i shouldn't be surprised seeing you guys also perpetrated the int does nothing myth
>people still butthurt that someone that plays the game more is better than them
>still trying to race with these people and refuse to admit that you're just not good
>still being bothered that you're just not good
I'd like to see you put this shitter logic in sports
it needs less of a streamlined story/way to kill shit because some classes and party setups have different mobs they would like in sizes and elements.
imagine if you were only allowed to take one element as a wizard in diablo 2, that's how this game feels at times.
>people have to put time and effort and socialising into an mmo to reach max level instead of just doing the max level quest line ina few days and then onyl run one single endgame dungeon
keeping cards that are way below your level is dumb. There was someone that was sitting on level 20 cards at 40. With that being said, people shouldn't have skipped over the chapel 50 dungeon when it gave like 3-5 levels per run
>Repeating a task over and over again makes me a pro
By using your logic, I should teach others how to masturbate because I've been doing so since 15 years ago. Or slapping girls asses.
I just noticed that Bokor is circle 2 at rank 4.
I was going to get c2 at rank 5, but I'm beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be faster to straight up restart and level with one rank of Krivis instead of 2.
No, well, the point is more that you can't get any more/shit EXP from the level 50 dungeon past a certain point.
That means if you ignored it and used cards to level past that point, you just permanently lost level 50 - 60 worth of EXP. Maybe even more since I saw level 64 -65s still doing it.
Yes, it's actually pretty nice and cheap even at level 1. More levels make it even better, but the casting time is retarded. You can use it on dungeons to bring shit into the fire ground and fireballs from pyros on dungeons when pillar is on colldown.
I actually was doing almost 1000 damage to the earth archon per tick from the ball. As comparison, lvl 15 ice pike was doing around 7.5k with all its 4 hits.
Does anyone know where this is?
You need to find the last piece of the statue with the quest to proceed with the chain, but I scoured the entire map and couldn't find anything.
>not doing dungeons the moment you meet the minimum level
Its free money and exp, and far better than questing or grinding. Plus they are way more fun since people its the only time you get to party up reliably.
>expecting to get paid in a mmo when you're obviously shit
how entitled are you? Like games have to bend over backwards to please you or something. Just fuck off if you can't handle grinding
>"ur bad because you cant level as fast as them"
But that's completely true. Just admit you're bad and you'll enjoy games more. Making up excuses is fucking pathetic
that one particular boss broke on me too but not any of the others, which is good because bosses are getting a bit more challenging and diverse now and I'm enjoying it
/indungeon says it's level 130. It's actually level 132.
Most people hit a wall at about 129 where they have no quests so they've got to grind to 130, where they think they'll get easy levels in an instance dungeon. But they actually need to grind 2 more levels and that shit is fucking brutal when there is literally no good levelling spots.
He wouldn't because he wants instant gratification. I SPEND 10 HOURS A WEEK, I SHOULD BE THE BEST JUST WITH THIS and all that. If he were to play sports, he would probably complain how others are so much more "talented" than him.
