>Blog with graphic rips from Zestiria and several other games in the series
Then Alisha, Sergei and Rose.
And now it's like Lailah's gone too.
>Just like I have removed Alisha previously, I have now removed Lailah
>Once I get rid of this bothersome Edna, fans will have no choice but to admit Rose is the best girl
>I'll talk to the anime director and make sure he gets rid of Edna for me. After all, he already said he didn't mind making a few changes.
>Sounds like every other Tales soundtrack to me
>every other Tales soundtrack
>Mfw a "few changes" means Alisha up the ass
>mfw they give Lailah's role to Alisha's seiyuu as compensation
>that late-game side quest where
you fight Rose + Zaveid in order to train
Holy fuck this shit is annoying, I hate it when party members gain 10x HP when they're not on my team. I can't even scratch one of them before I'm combo'd to death. How do you beat this?
Armatize with Mikleo, quickstep two times and attack Zaveid with Binding Vortex.
Or you could stack shit tons of Primor and defend everything they throw at you and kill them with mystic artes.
I'm hoping it means a lot more of Edna
>I'd rather never beat it than do that
I tried them on Simple and really, the only difference it does is there's a delay before they attack, but once they do hit you it's most likely a game over.
>Does equipping Rose/Zaveid with terrible gear beforehand make the fight easier?
I did this and nothing happened, their stats are static but the look of Rose' weapon carries over.
There goes my strat to cheese it. Do they remain the same level or do they level up as you level up? Currently they are level 77 (I'm level 60, don't ask me how the fuck Rose/Zaveid suddenly gained 17 levels). I might finish some side quests before coming back
I'm playing on hard and enemies I fight are many levels over me. But I've found that levels aren't a good indicator, I've fought level 90+ enemies that gave me less trouble than Rose/Zaveid
Normally enemy level is constant, so if I can't beat a boss I just come back later when I'm leveled. But since this is a mirror match I'm wondering if their levels scale with yours
She still has her pact when she leaves the party, Lailah just deactivates it. The only thing that really keeps her from staying in the party is that she blinds Sorey.
I know that. But when you meet up with her again later, without the pact being activated she can't see the seraphim anymore.
She also couldn't tell that Maltran was a hellion until the pact was reactivated. If they change the anime so she tags along, she'll have to stay Sorey's squire or be a completely useless tagalong. Then what happens with Rose?
>Lailah is kill
What the fuck ;_;
An anon in the previous thread said that the anime director said he will refine some of the characters interactions in the anime and also they will include a romance sub-genre.
Is there any source of this or not?
I don't think so, but Alisha alone has him losing his sight
even when she rejoins temporarily later he says in a skit his vision is blurry. Rose didn't cause him any problems, but the two of them together seems like it would cause serious problems.
Guess it could be good drama though.
Alisha has low resonance so she draws more power from Sorey, that's why he loses his vision and blanks out alot. Rose has high resonance so she doesn't really draw any power from him, plus she can do kamui just fine.
Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying either Hearts R or Zestiria but I'm hesitating and I've heard complaints for both. I like Eternia, Symphonia, Legendia, Abyss, Vesperia and Xillia, but didn't like Graces and Xillia 2. In Graces I hated the battle system (The camera behind the player and the way artes worked) and thought the dialogues were silly (Tough I still liked the characters) and in Xillia 2 I didn't like the chapter format, all the reused content and the battle system (I think it reached a point where there was too much unnecessary mechanics). What do you guys think?
The main girl is worst girl because literally half the game revolves around her growing a personality, she's still boring afterward, she has stupid behavior standards, her outfit is dumb and her brother is a thousand times better. And she didn't want him to buy goggles even though they live in a fucking endless blizzard.
She's not as bad as fucking Shing. I actually kind of like Kohaku. You're right that her brother is a thousand times better though. Hisui a best.
Must be a lie. The only thing we know about the anime is that it's from ufotable and will air next year. And there's some original character in the pv that has a berseria emblem.
I do wonder who they will get to replace Lailah's seiyuu though.
I remember that fight. One thing for sure, beat Zaveid first. It's all about your timing in the end, how good you can combine and separate from your pokemons. Also mystic arte. USE THAT ITEM.
I'm at the end of the game and I want to go do sidequests, where is the point of no return?
Right now I'm just past
Symonne and entering Camlann, is it time to go back or is there still more I can do before going to do sidequests?
There's not really a point of no return, though once you see
the place where Mikleo was sacrificed as a babythat means you're right outside the final boss' room. There are warp portals that can take you all the way back to the entrance of the Mabinogio Ruins, or you can just use the final save point to travel anywhere you want.
Yeah thats why I asked for a source of it, because as you, I only know that the anime will air next year and about the new character that is very possible they are related to Berseria.
This is sad to hear. She may R.I.P.
I am pretty sure they will get another one for her. They can't cancel the whole thing, the production has started now.
Missable things are just a couple accessories, and you're past that point anyway. You might be a little confused if some of your characters have a second MA but others don't; I think Lailah and Mikleo both require you to beat the game before their quests unlock, which is odd because Mikleo's provides context for what's happening in the epilogue.
>I think Lailah and Mikleo both require you to beat the game before their quests unlock
Aw, that's annoying.
Does Mikleo ever have a breakdown over anything? Edna keeps telling him it's okay to cry and he keeps snapping at her that he's not gonna, and now Rose and Sorey are talking about something like how he just puts up with everything...
I haven't played Zestiria so I don't know what I'm supposed to see, I assume those crests are in Zestiria too? I skipped Zestiria since it didn't look interesting to me, but if Berseria takes place after it I'll either have to go through Zestiria or skip Berseria too.
The crest on the left is from Berseria, the crest on the right is from the PV for the Zestiria anime and an unknown character is wearing it.
Also in Zestiria Sorey, Mikleo and Rose talk about how they've never seen what's"across the sea" and Berseria could easily be taking place on the other side of the unexplored world.
I kind of expect the anime to have some berseria shilling.
Depends on the character for me. Asbel and Hubert were definitely the best of both games, but I like Mikleo and Zaveid better as combat casters, and all casters can do the magic upgrade thing early on.
Friendly reminder if you want the
After you get the letter from the pastor in Pendrago, you can only continue the sub-event to track down Meyvin after clearing all spiritual trials. That's when you can freely walk on the Grand Camelot Bridge.
A merchant should be there who will tell you to go to some ruins located near the Wind Trial. Warp there ASAP because the cut off for that is after a certain fight with a certain powerful enemy just outside the Earth temple.
Once you pass that, Meyvin will no longer be in the temple and will park his ass in Lohgrin.
Don't know of any other cutoffs other than the Cowboy Hat early in the game (sell the pipe to Rose; never sell Alisha's dagger or give it to the guard)
Do any other characters get as many outfits as Rose(outside dlc)? I'm only unlocking new ones for her, like
>traveling clothes palette swap
Not really. The devs have said that a m/f relationship won't work with Sorey, so even if Alisha likes him I can't see Sorey returning back any romantic feelings.Unless in the case of the studio changing the plot to make them happen.
Velvet is pretty bad but Tales has had worse looking mcs.
Is there any character that is as fun to play as Lord Gaius? This man has it all.
Now that I think about it, Xillia 2 had the most characters that I liked playing in a single tales game. Was it just me or was alvin kind of shit in xillia 2?
If I'm hearing this right there are 3 versions of Rising Up but I can only find the boss fight Vocal version.
Any happen to see the first version without vocals or the post battle zone BGM version around?
"Burning red, freezing blue, hail in tandem! Violent Storm!"
Whoa, no one told me Heldalf would be such a
I found an easier way, i switch to Rose and just spam Dream Slasher, that shit is so OP.
One thing i like about the Tales games is that they really have /wp/ tier animation.
This scene made me think of Sorey and Mikleo at the start of their journey when they were overlooking that cliff
I think it's Uno, giving a blessing to her grave, i guess?
I have some questions too.
People were talking about how Sorey fell into a deep sleep since he became Maotelus' vessel and how he will wake up hundreds of years later when the land is fully purified.
Where did they get all that info when none of it was implied in the ending cutscenes.
Also how the hell did the four seraphs survived when Dezel died when he did it.
I'm sure we can all agree that this is the best song in the game
Oh shit, that makes sense.
The deep sleep thing comes from that starlight scene where Sorey and Mikleo talked about it. Sorey told Mikleo his plan and Mikleo said it would take decades or centuries. And I think there was a skit about it, too.
I think Dezel died because what he did was to save Rose, he was cutting off her connection with the hellion. Heldalf died pretty quickly after the Seraphim entered him, so I guess that was the difference? Maybe if Rose had died with the hellion Dezel would have been okay.
Blue haired guy is Uno blessing Rose's grave, the two grey-haired people are Rose's friends from her merchant/assassin group just old as fuck. The last unknown guy is presumably the shepherd who took over in Rose's stead.
The later ending with Mikleo is further into the future. I guess they didn't want to draw an in-between Mikleo for just that one short scene.
When Sorey defeated Heldalf, Maotelus needed a new vessel so the land could be purified. The purification process took hundreds of years, the grave you see there is Rose' grave who died already of old age, the timeskip was probably around 80-90 years which is why Mikleo still looks young because seraphim ages slow.
Now since Mikleo looks a lot older in the final cutscene, it is implied that over 700 years have passed.
Anyway, i just started up Alisha's DLC and boy, Rose is such a bitch. She thinks she's so entitled that she can't tell Alisha what happened to Sorey.
>The twins from Rose's guild
Shit, that hits right in the kokoro.
How do I get Barbatos Ring on PS3 Vesperia? Already beat the dude few times, but still can't find shit.
The director we don't know randomly spoiled the ending of an anime to which we have no idea of the plot on a "japanese advertisement"? If you're trying to keep the thread alive can you at least talk about something real?
Hell stuff in the game seems to show he's not terribly interested in girls. Mikleo even says something at some point along the lines of "you're not gonna get far along this line" when it comes up.
Alisha is like the only love interest in the game, and I bet the anime in 2016 will emphasize a lot in that. They are like together 24/7, they bond, and MC is a fucking cares a ton about her among all the girls.
I thought it was obvious, I don't need a shitty ad telling me how they are going to make something that is obvious in the game, even more obvious.
>yfw best girl in game became a seraphim in real life
>the epilogue omits the part where Uncle Zaveid arrives to teach them about their bodies
Mikleo spent who knows how long travelling with both Edna and Zaveid. There's no way he doesn't know all about his body by the time Sorey shows back up.
then he can teach sorey
>Mikleo probably got ravished
lovinglyby Edna and Zaveid during years and years
>There will never be dous about that
You can't do this man.
At least not without Lailah too
it's not NTR, someone has to keep Mikleo's mind off the long, lonely years without his husbando.
personally can't see Lailah being involved in any sexual exploitation of the Meebo when she seemed so scandalized by Zaveid not wearing a shirt.
So who the hell was
Mikleo's father? The Iris Gem stuff only shows Micheal's "family" as his sister with the baby. So did Muse lose her husband or just get knocked up during the journey to found the village or is it just never explained? Was Dezel completely nuts or what? What actually caused his blindness? Why did he not remember ANYTHING properly? Guilt? What about Rose -- why doesn't she remember anything? She was supposed to marry the prince? I feel like I missed a ton of info somewhere. When Micheal quit being the Shepherd, did Lailah know he'd moved the big M to his new town? Did she just go back to Ladylake to nap until a new Shepherd showed up? I assume she couldn't have known that Micheal actually started the new Age of Chaos...
>Baba: We introduced the characters in the same order as they appear in the game
He was premature enough that his survival was doubted, and while it seems like pregnancy should be hard to miss, there are tons of real life cases of people not knowing someone was pregnant until a baby popped out -- even cases of the woman not realizing she was pregnant. Also some people don't show until late (when people say a woman "popped" it means the pregnancy belly suddenly became much more noticeable -- it's not always gradual). So even if the father's identity was an issue, Sorey's mother could have just been wearing baggier clothing or just not showing much.
Lailah's is purification, which she gets in exchange for not talking about Maotelus and his related drama. Purple-chan's is illusion in exchange for not killing. Don't know what Mayvin's is. Zaveid might also have one.
I'd say my main issue is the dumb shirt and all the ripped clothes honestly, she doesn't seem like a character that wants to be sexy and honestly, why the hell can't she find a new pair of pants.
Cover some of her boobs and give her a new pair of pants and I'll take this Jumilla spawn.
No need to cover that much of the boobs either.
Dezel also had an oath where he head to keep his teeth sharp, this was said in a skit by Edna.
Zaveid's oath was that he can't wear a shirt, althought i can't tell if he was joking or not.
I'm thankful for it either way.
Then who would be the ones who gave the oath?
I'm pretty sure both of those were jokes.
Some official book says that anyone can make oaths to themselves, even humans, but that could still make them bound to something they can't escape.
I thought it was said in the game that Mayvin's wasn't really an oath,
but some ancestor of his fucked up so hard his descendants are forced to keep up his duty? It wasn't his choice so it's not really an oath, right?
There's definitely some kind of oath/geas going on there since he gets punished for breaking it, which is also part of how they work. Maybe it was worded in such a way that it affected the entire family.
>Era of Asgard (Initial) - 1100 years ago - After the death of King Claudin (a Shepherd), the Asgardian royal family divided, and contested for leadership. Hyland Kingdom (which also collapsed during this era) and Lohgrin Kingdom, among others, were established. Amongst the warring, human culture and civilization made huge developments. // The Asgard Initial Culture developed and spread to various places. This culture was overall gorgeous and strong: sculptures in excess, motifs centered around flora and fauna, and easy-going and free composition were joined together to create this culture’s characteristics. Also, due to war, the number of hellions increased, and the basis for strange lore, which was passed down to future generations, was born in this age. It is said we were able to get through the disasters that spanned both sides of its history due to the efforts of this era’s Shepherds.
>Asgard Unification Period (Graceful Asgard) - 1000 years ago - The Asgardian royal family unified the continent. Peace continued for about 100 years. Following that, large-scale movement of the earth’s crust began, and the dispute between the Lord of Calamity and the Shepherd broke out. The continent’s calendar was revised, and the Glenwood calendar’s first year began. // Gradually, the impact of the other continents’ cultures faded, and buildings that were more practically built, with simpler designs, emerged. Gunpowder and ocean navigation were invented, and technology developed to be better than the present day’s. It should be noted that the invincible general Dindrane, whose name won fame during the unification war, was a hellion.
Storytellers of Time come from a long line of descendants that at some point one of their ancestors fucked something up that locked their whole bloodline into an oath. Which is why every Storyteller's name is Mayvin.
>Era of Asgard (period of prosperity) - 600 years ago - Fierce changes in the earth’s crust and chaos assaulted the entire continent. A descendant of the Asgardian royal family, the Dragonia house’s Earl Pen Dragonia, rose, and captured the land which would later be Pendrago. He became the Rolance Empire’s founder. // The chaos that took place prompted the people’s activity and cultural exchange, and their economy and culture made leaps in development. At the heart of the Rolance region, Asgard’s period of prosperity’s culture flourished. Designs changed to be simple and geometric, and animals and humans were symbolically drawn. The building technology improved from that of the initial Era of Asgard, and many things became obsolete. A lot of culture and lore was lost, and it was an era of rebuilding.
>Era of Maotelus - The people’s faith in Maotelus, of the Five Great Lords, strengthened, and through its divine protection, peace was kept. Due to northern nomads coming down south, the Lohgrin Kingdom saw its downfall. For the purpose of conciliation, Rolance gave the king of the nomads territory and the position of duke, and the northern power, the Suraga Duchy, was established. The Hyland royal family was revived, and after Ladylake was created as the capital, the Hyland Kingdom was established. // This is the era that created the foundation for present day. The Asgard period of prosperity’s impact continued to remain in various places, though development was made towards originality. Mainly, natural motifs, curved lines, and elegance made up Hyland’s style, while rationality and practicality made up the style of Rolance. In addition, there were small-scale calamities in various places, however they were quelled by the Shepherd.
I think Sorey/Mikleo's vast knowledge of history could have come from others in Elysia in part (since the Celestial Records are only one man's writings). On the other hand, they spent their lives exploring those ruins and Zenrus never told them about the giant statue... though maybe he just thought it was amusing.
He probably did. Plus, they spent their entire childhood and adolescence exploring those ruins. If he'd ever just told them it was his shrine, it could have taken a lot of the fun of exploration out of it for them.
Goddammit, the idea of Gramps just sitting there smiling while kiddie Sorey and Mikleo are rambling excitedly over what they found in the ruins and speculating about it all...
Sorey: And then, we saw this HUGE STATUE!
Gramps: Oh really.
Sorey: Yeah! I bet he was, like, a cannibal king! His worshipers put up the statue!
Mikleo: That's dumb. Why would people worship the king if he was a cannibal?
Sorey: Because they were glad he didn't eat them! And if they didn't worship him, he probably WOULD eat them! Oh! Oh! I bet there are like, piles of bones under the statue!
Gramps: *smokes pipe* You don't say.
Xillia's attachment system was great, especially once I found out you could move them everywhere on the character and increase size and change colour. What are some cool modifications you made?
I don't have any pics, but personally I loved giving Rowen the drippy nose attachment and change it to blood red, making him look permanently anime-aroused. Also, the bushy eyebrows, when rotated just right and moved down to just above Alvin's lips made them look like a great sleazy porn moustache.
Yeah, me too. But I'd lower them slightly so everyone looked like they were looking just over their sunglasses, giving them a badass look.
Also, if you didn't put the bunny ears on Milla, you're missing out.
I don't think unhappy endings are really a new thing for Tales. Abyss's ending was pretty depressing.
World's going to run out of magic in the few years/decades, all the god generals are dead, Ion's dead, Asch's dead. The idea of Lusch is pretty depressing too if you buy into that interpretation.
Also Symphonia 2's bad ending.
Meh, I like happy endings but bittersweet, which I guess Zestiria was going for, is all right. Zestiria is a little too much like Abyss, though.
I was expecting the end to be Sorey losing his ability to see the Serephs and living with humans in the end. The game hints at this happening a few times but ironically the opposite happens.
I remember having fun with the dog tail attachment. I put it on the back of Jude's head, increased the size to the max and matched the color with his hair, so it looked like it was part of his hair. It was like something straight out of an 80's anime
>The game hints at this happening a few times but ironically the opposite happens.
I don't remember anything hinting at that apart from the general "Gramps figured Sorey would go out into the world eventually" and the one time his resonance got disrupted. Now, on the other hand, they bring up the idea of
humans being reborn as seraphimseveral times -- funnily enough, Mikleo, being the youngest of the seraphim in the party, asks about it a few times.
Ratatosk starts getting cranky and anxious over the party's ability to complete his goal (which IS ultimately for the benefit of the world) and eventually goes so far as to start threatening that if any of them fuck up or get in his way he'll kill them. Emil, with help from Verius, considers this a last straw and forcefully takes over their body, locking Ratatosk into the backseat position.
Later on, he starts to think that the only way to actually save things is to be reverted to core form (a sort of temporary "death"/sleep state as a jewel) and used as a seal to keep evil at bay, because he's afraid of Ratatosk eventually taking over again and being a shit. But he realizes that no one will agree to letting him sacrifice himself that way, so he plans to more or less trick everyone. When the time comes he pretends that Ratatosk has taken control of the body and forces Lloyd and Marta to fight him, hoping that they'll deliver the "killing" blow and seal them both away while thinking it was necessary.
The "bad end" comes in that he actually DOES end up badly hurting Marta and realizes he's betrayed EVERYONE's trust (and, ultimately, screwed Ratatosk over by not giving him a chance at all), so he ends up stabbing himself and sealing himself away.
(the better endings involve everyone realizing his ruse and telling him that trust is the better way, and him deciding that it's not fair to just shut Ratatosk away so instead he makes the effort and they come to terms with each other)
It can be especially rough if you're overleveled because
you have to lose to Lloyd and Marta for Emil to realize that they're not gonna go through with killing/sealing him, and if they're barely picking away at your HP it can take a bit...
Jude is 15 in ToX and 16 in ToX2.
Colette is 16 in ToS and 18 in DotNW.
Mikleo is 18.
Tales ages can be weird. See: Jade is 30 and called old, Raven is 35 and called "old man" while Regal is 33 and no one pulls that shit with him.
This fuels my /ss/ fetish.
>Tales ages can be weird. See: Jade is 30 and called old, Raven is 35 and called "old man" while Regal is 33 and no one pulls that shit with him.
Good point. This kinda pisses me off though because I'm 23 and I just know the day will come where I'm like 30 and a Tales party will call a character around my age old man or oldtimer.
30 or 35 isn't old. Rowen really refreshed this Tales trope for me, having an actual old guy in the party.
I always have to remind myself that only one year passed between X1 and X2 because designs like Jude's, Elize's and Alvin's (dat beard) make me think that more time passed otherwise.
I think Elize going from a shunned basement baby to an outgoing schoolgirl would help account for that.
>Rowen really refreshed this Tales trope for me, having an actual old guy in the party.
Yeah, he's, what, late 60s? Remember too that Yuri was considered a departure, being the oldest MC at 21.
This is a little thing that always bothered me in Vesperia. Just before the cutscene where Yuri
kills Cumore, you get the Blue Dragon sword for Yuri which you naturally equip because it's stronger and has great skills. But that cutscene looks terrible because the Blue Dragon is this huge, wide, ugly sword that looks really out of place for that scene. In recent playthroughs I equip Yuri with a slimmer, pointier sword just to get more satisfaction out of that scene.
Don't think of this as your traditional "replace old equipment with new, better equipment." Pretty much everything has a tradeoff in one area or another and skills can be incredibly useful and make a huge difference.
I really liked Yuri being older than me when Vesperia came out. I remember liking Lloyd being 17, two whole years older than me. But playing Symphonia now it just kinda annoys me. I like it when JRPGs sometimes break the status quo and go for an MC older than 15-17.
I...I guess I'm getting old.
>This fuels my /ss/ fetish.
I hope you didn't forget about Milla trying to breastfeed baby Jude when she found him crying because she read it in a book one time.
>I...I guess I'm getting old.
I know that feel, Anon. And it just gets worse when you realize that your waifu/husbando is probably too young for you in terms of real world ages.
I really, really hope the Zestiria anime is more like the Abyss one and less like Symphonia's.
in one of the skits in the royal library in xillia 1 jude is bummed out or something and milla tries to cheer him up using something she read in a book about being a mom
i think idk it has been a while since i've played the first xillia
It's a bit of a read.
>This is a summary/info dumping of the short story The Day Milla Maxwell Was Born from the Tales of Xillia Official World Guidance Book.
>It takes place 14 years before Xillia 1, in Trames 2279/Primia 4290, when Milla destroyed an Exodus base when she was six. In this story, Jude is 1, Ivar 2, Milla 6, Alvin 12, Gilland 21, Leticia 32, Derrick 33 and Ellen 37.
I really hope a certain someone already recorded her lines.
I don't mind the camera and enjoy the kamui mechanic so it's fun for me,
Does this mean Lailah died over those 700 years as well?
Innocence did a fun thing with the 'old man' trope. Ricardo's only 27, but the rest of the party being younger teens constantly look to him for support even though he really isn't much more mature than the rest of them. There's a great skit when they first get the airship and everyone just assumes Ricardo knows how to pilot it because hes the adult, when in reality he has no more knowledge on the subject than the rest of them.
>if you get a 150 combo
>ive gotten 100 before, but thats it
s u f f e r i n g
The cutscenes and progression of the story make up like 90% of my disappointments with this game.
Right after you
Never, just put him out of his misery and help Edna move on.
Only if Sorey gets to pet the Kittybeard.
The fuck was that ending, and there are no fucking DLC to complete it.
What the fuck scamco, where the fuck is my proper ending?
Why do you just have to everytime?
Save the armatization youre best at for last.
Switch to Rose and use one of her artes...Dream something? I cant remember the name but someone mentioned it in the thread.
I can't tell if I really really love it or really really hate it.
Sorry. Here, have a happy picture.
Its fun. The best part is they animated the manga side stories too.
Does it have as many fillers?
Played it on and off for 2 years and after finally finishing it... man. That was a great ride.
Even though most of the characters were shit except Jade.
there's two more pages but they're of tainted Mikleo being a tease to Sorey instead
>They have Lailah marry Zavied in memory of her VA
It's been a while since I saw it, but I remember its pacing being pretty damn good all things considered, and matching the events of the game quite closely while expanding on some of the extra material (like seeing Jade as a kid).
Meanwhile, the Symphonia OVA diverged so badly it was actually upsetting.
>yfw Lailah's voice actress became a seraph in real life.
Really? I was satisfied with the Symphonia adaptation. Even though it diverged from the source material, it's not like any of the major plot points changed. They only had 12 episodes to work with. Much better music and animation, lots of screen time for some folks who didn't get much justice in the game like Regal and Yuan.
Meanwhile Abyss had a meager animation budget spread over 24 episodes and didn't do anything particularly noteworthy other than animating the manga side stories. It was too safe of an adaptation if you ask me.
Lailah is criminally underrated by the japs. You can go pages in pixiv's Zestiria tag and not see anything of her.
>Even though it diverged from the source material, it's not like any of the major plot points changed.
Colette's entire motivation for saving the world is LLOYD LLOYD LLOYD and she doesn't even fight in the trials that are supposed to be hers.
Lloyd's exsphere is EEEVVVIL for some reason and makes him a Super Saiyan.
Zelos' motivations and triple agent status are pretty much ignored.
Presea's backstory gets flipped all over the place taking away most of the reasoning for anything happening.
All the focus went to Regal's backstory despite not explaining things any better than the game did and stuff with Raine and Genis was ignored.
Skipped over the Tabitha thing only to inexplicably use her design in the wrong place.
Also apparently angels are packed with explosives.
You glorious bastards, I spammed the shit out of Dream Slasher and got him. Spamming Blast didn't work though. Also how were you supposed to figure out to spam that ONE art on ONE person?
when does Dezel get replaced? I am at the part of the game where I can do the trials, is there anyway to make it happen sooner? I want the final roster if that makes sense.
2nd anon you quoted here. You can do it without doing that. I just saved Edna's armatization for last because I know I'm better with her. Took me 3 tries though.
A little after the wind trial
The Zelos vs Regal fights were good, but I really hated that Colette wasn't allowed to fight at all and IMO the whole Dragon's Nest assault was pretty stupid. Everyone literally flew around and their weapons may as well have been lasers, and who knows why the angels exploded like downed fighter jets.
Yeah, its probably one of the more frustrating part of the game. You can do it, anon.
Do it for him.
best boy: dezel
im prepared to cry
Yes, and Sorey was born prematurely. Surprisingly neither one has any health issues.
Just beat the game, some questions about the ending
Whose grave was that at the end? Sorey's or Rose? There were two daggers on it which makes me think it should be Rose's
How did Sorey come back?
Why is Mikelo a best?
Overall a good game but much easier than the previous Tales games (played on Hard). Aramatization with its fuckhuge AOE abilities trivialized normal enemies. Early bosses were tough but later bosses were quite easy, even the field bosses that were 40 levels over me. Also easiest final boss ever, only difficult part was figuring out how to stop the laser. Might be because I used an All-Divide though
Didnt notice this before. I want to go in to the Katz Pajamaz!
She ruins their archaeology trips with her stupidity.
Okay /tales/ time for the truth: Rose or Alisha?
I prefer Rose myself.
Before I played the game, Alisha
After I played the game, Rose
I like female knight characters.
Alisha, because you can tell she is Sorey's only one true love (other than Mikelo)
Rose has that strong independent girl-best friend vibe going on anyway Sorey could care less probably refuse a dick sucking if she asked.
>They never got to have sex for the sole purpose of procreation
Feels bad. Entire party shipped them too.
I never like that kind of costume either. It's good for eye candy, I guess.
What makes you think they don't enjoy it? You shouldn't project your taste into them.
I didn't say I think they don't enjoy them, I asked because I don't know. You just don't see guys being put in school outfits as often as girls and otome games have a lot of diverse settings compared to bishoujo games that mostly take place in schools.
I'd go so far as to say fujoshits eat that shit up faster than anyone else. I especially see a lot of love for Mikleo's swimsuit and Zaveid's school outfit.
It's not the entire cast,
just the humans with the exception of Sorey. It's also implied to be of old age. Lailah is sometimes added on because her voice actor died very recently.
Haha, holy shit. A bigger fuckboi than Emil.
If Innocence wasn't unpopular as fuck we would have fanart of this but we are not that lucky.
That too, forgot about it.
Now those are big words.
I have yet to play ToS2 but Emil seems moe as fuck.
Jude is pretty girly in general.
Too lewd to post directly, but page 8 of this: http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=26663126
I'm pretty sure there's more out there too, but there's no easy way to find it.
Fujoshis are the kind of people who eat anything related to their favorite characters.
I'd fuck that.
Every PS3 is hackable now thanks to ODE.
That's a funny way to spell Leia.
The plot all revolves about Milla anon.
I do agree that the game flows much better if you play Jude's side first though otherwise a lot of things get spoiled.
Xillia1 has a lot of great main character but disappointing villains imo.
>tfw had to turn down the difficulty to Moderate in the
Rose and Zaveid fight
I just couldn't fucking handle it. Over a dozen tries and I never managed to bring a single one to less than 80% health
>Not wanting some sexy mature stockhold syndrome crazy girl who obeys your every commands
There's a difference with Xillia though. In other games the heroine could not accomplish her goal without the rest of the party. In Xillia, it's emphasized that the party has trouble even functioning without Milla.
But Edna is best girl and best Seraph, anon.
Which Tales has the best hometown/first scene song? I really liked the Elysia theme in Zesty but my favorite still has to be:
I always love the feeling you get returning to said areas later in the game, hearing that first theme again but now with all of what happened thus far in the story running through your head.
>Finally motivate myself to do the Alisha DLC
>Its just one long ass generic ruin dungeon
>ends with Alisha yelling at a crater
>dont even get a fight with Symonne
>ends on a stupid cliffhanger that will never be resolved
That was a stupid waste of time.
