>use referral code redditpals for 100g
>do training excercises for ~4 orbs gold
>lvl class you want to play to 11 for 2 orbs
>play game with friend for 1 orb
If you shard everything from all the classes you don't want to play, by the end of the day you'll have a pretty phat deck.
3x aymara, 3x stars fury, 3x 3rd wish, 3x portal guardian, 3x pyromancer, 3x rashas curse, 3x sarlac, 3x first wish, 2-3x emerald rejuv + healing mystic, etc etc. pretty much no obelysks cause theyre garbage. Its a bullshit deck.
the deck that won a tournament months back, most likely outdated.
>pretty much no obelysks cause theyre garbage.
Really? I was running all 6 on my budget deck...maybe that's why I keep losing. I must admit the number of dispel in the meta really just leaves me using them as roadblocks all too often. Then things like Magmar can globally wipe them out.
I'm already so sick of this game and I've been playing it for like a week and a half. The whole game feels like a fucking coinflip since it's so full of cheap removal and cheaper burst. Whoever draws their cheap removal and burst first wins. If you don't have 30 health by turn 5 you're basically already dead. Fuck this shit
I agree, i was loving it the first month but now it's like HS all over again.
Oh, you drew your game winning combo and I cant draw or cycle into one of my 10 removals/dispels, guess I lose.
Oh, you got Mechazor out and I don't have a way to deal, guess I lose.
No thx on Hearthstone Round 2
It's a shame because it was really fun when I was playing with just starting decks, it was a nice pace and the fusion of the turn based strategy and card game elements were neat, but as I got more and more cards and fought more and more people with all the bullshit cards it turned really dumb really fast. There's just way too much cheap removal so everything you play just dies instantly and waaaay too much burst so even if you're winning it doesn't matter if they draw all their combo pieces. Which would be fine if that were only restricted to some combo decks but it's like every fucking game
>Third wish + Stars fury
>Vet can't burst guise!
That's not core card game mechanics though. Stuff is just way too cheap in this game and it has the same problem hearthstone does where chargers are overpowered since you have no way to stop them except setting up some defense and praying they don't have a way to deal with it
Man, I've told you to stop with that.
What a shame, talked to a dev and he basically confirmed that vanar generals will be female only.
Why would you position like this
Why would anyone do this
I don't think I've ever won this fast before
This guy looks awesome.
Hopefully if they add new packs they let you pick what you get from arena and don't call it "too confusing" like blizzard.
If I am going to get a meme card, I might as well meme like the best.
Why is everyone calling this game dead? How long has it even been playable?
I barely heard about this a week ago and I'm having tons of fun. I mean it just went into open beta didn't it? How could it be dying already?
Most legends are bad or gimmicky and the whole dust thing makes them have some value if you don't feel like making something silly.
So yeah, lots of 'em, but you don't need all of them.
Legendary drop rate is higher too. Also you're able to earn more currency per day than in hearthstone. I've had 2 legendaries drop in hearthstone, and about 15 in this game for roughly the same gametime played.
Jesus fuck, I love being lucky. And playing against shitters
I'm not going to waste my gold when I can barely get 2 wins on Gauntlet. I don't know the first thing about deck building and I'd probably get stuck with classes I don't like like not-Lyonar and not-Abyss
I'm mostly interested in orbs.
>spend 300g to get 2 orbs and about 150 spirit
>spend 300g to get 3 orbs
But I'm not sure what you mean by breaks even. What are you comparing it to?
>be lvl 9 vetruvian silver
>get paired vs this guy
Oh lol don't fucking worry. I get matchmade against that guy all the time. I can't recall a single loss even though he's stacked with legends.
I don't even have a third wish in this deck and he's raping me but I'll try.
Oh wow he wasted that 5/2 on my 4/4 knight and I won with double stars later.
I dunno, I've been playing for like 3 days only. I'm leveling all classes to 10-11 atm.
I will have to get sarlac 2-3x if I wanna play vertuvian or abyss competitively though apparently.
they need to increase the speed of the animations, they're way too slow
the double draw is definitely going to fuck the high end later on, it will basically turn this game into legacy except without any viable denial
No, the enemy general can move past him freely, but if he's next to the Windstopper, he has to attack him before he can attack anything else. Learned that the hard way in Gauntlet
Could always just dump him in the corner and have him soak Ranged stuff. People actually pick it in arena, so Windstopper is decent enough
You ever hear of this neat function called Ctrl+F?
>except without any viable denial
The game needs Trap cards.
Play them on a space, all traps have same sprite and they're all like 0/2 or something.
They activate during your opponent's turn if they do something.
So like, insta-destroy a creature with 4 or more power if they get summoned
Stop all spells for the turn when their first spell gets cast
They can of course attack the trap to disarm it
Unless it was a trap that specifically goes off when attacked, which would also exist
I think the lack of traps and instants are a big part of the game's design
On your own turn, you can never be blindsided by random shit - you can see the board and know what your options are
>Not mentioning Lyonar
I always pick Lyonar for Gauntlet because people can't deal with constant provokes. And since they both have Tempest and Holy Immolation, there's a greater chance you'll have more AoE removal
>playing a burn deck
>lyonar heals himself for 12 in a single turn
Won anyway but holy shit, the guy had around 40 effective hp.
This. Vanar has extremelly cost efficient minions that can be good alone, like everyones favourite warmaster and draug lord. And they also have some amazing removal and spells. Not as godly as magmar, but up there in gauntlet.
>wins 3 in a row
I got the feeling i gonna lose 3 times afterwards. Oh well, i guess that's it for today if i lose.
>not pushing it when it began
>and then only online to play quests and gauntlet
I find people less tryhard in the beginning and they caught offguard by the changes.
I got 9 wins my first gauntlet last week, and I am not ashamed to admit that it was luck to have matched with shitters. Some of the gauntlet decks posted in here wouldve pummeled me with the appropriate experience behind them but I was running into a lot of vet and songhai playing lyonar with 5 silverguard knights and 4 tempests in my deck
>game's still not popular enough
>despite being fun as fuck
Though i understand there's a glaring issues like super burst deck. I think the game should get more players.
So they can be my stepping stones to platinum
I wish they didn't censored it. Sex sales.
Noobs cant power through the pack early in the season when all the s rank ribbon bros are thundering through silver though, so i mean those s rankers are tryhards. I think most casuals will be reminded that they should try to place high for season rewards near the end of the season when the rewards are announced, and are otherwise content to do dailies against the shameful bronze and the sad silvers rather than push hard and have to do dailies immersed in cancer division
I thought that about the tempest too but 2 of the victories were peeps conceding after being tempested twice. Turned out to be useful for the given the increased draw rate of having 4, never wouldve used all though
Can't get mah oraoras in this game soon enough
Yup, i lost at 4/3 for no fucking reason.
>have 10ish 2 mana cards minions, doesn't draw until 3rd turn
>have a lot of spells, keep drawing breath of unborn despite keep replacing it from turn one and i only have 1 card of it
>have 3 daemon lure, none of them appear when i really need it
Yeah, fuck you too duelyst.
I just had the worst draft deck ever.
0 legendaries, 0 Windblade Adepts, 1 Silverguard Knight, 0 Ironcliffe Guardian
But at least I got 2 Divine Bond and a Dagger Kiri
Managed to go 2/3 in spite of having absolute shit for a card pool
I had a pack where PUTRID DREADFLAYER was the best card in it, let that sink in for a sec.
In hindsight, I should have tested what happens if you insta-resign with a 0-0 record.
>almost lost, somehow pull through with topdeck card
>opponent had 4 hp, i had 19 hp
>somehow pull aoe and dancer that give 1hp and damage 1. Lost the game because he killed my range despite having +5 attack
fuck, my heart can't take the gauntlet.
Will Mechaz0r ever be viable?
Dunno about you, but I keep playing against the same guys. And I agree with >>121205854
>>121206808, while I'm oblivious about other TCG this one is starting to feel samey and fucking boring since I keep getting wreck by guys with legos or that just conveniently drawn every single card to counter what I played. I don't mind losing, but this is more like a stomp.
Do you lads save all your gold for gauntlet tickets? Logic indicates its the most gold efficient way to get cards/spirit, but then I only get rewarded for playing twice a week, which will make me sad and cause me to have uncontrollable shitposting :(
look at the bottom left and right corners.
If the right corner spike is lower than the left one, that's Player 1's creep.
If the left corner spike is lower than the right one, that's Player 2's creep.
will they get rid of their deviant art artist or do they want the game to never be looked at?
shares zero synergy with the pixil art
just want this game to grow and i think the first step is hiring a new artist instead of their friend who they are too scared of hurting his or her feelings
Seriously. The way he draws lips just plain disturbs me. The only cute girl I've seen out of him is the Vetruvian general.
you really took the time to make that for me?
dude just because i dont like the art doesnt directly mean i am asking for fucking anime shit. look at hearthstone fallout guild wars any western art. last i checked their promotion art isnt shit and blends with the game
>you really took the time to make that for me?
nah just doing the kickstarter cards cause they are shit
>their promotion art isnt shit and blends with the game
subjective, your opinion isn't fact
the art is fine
It's not strictly bad, but it's a bit double-edged. On one hand, it can pull your sorry ass out of a loss by giving you the extra life you need, or it can straight up win you a game, but usually it'll just lower your health instead. Even in Gauntlet, getting a 1 turn kill on a target with 10 health is easy
I think this game would be more fun if there was some incentive to manage your mana or cards in hand as actual resources. Drawing 2 and not having any reason not to blow all of your mana since you get it all back with a +1 makes clumsy play very forgiving.
I understand this is probably a design decision but I don't like it and thus is objectively wrong.
Third wish is only complained about in conjunction with Star's Fury. Here's the wall most players encounter against the race:
This combo costs 7 mana and deals 15+ potential damage. It's a low risk, high reward combo because the requirements are low and likelihood of happening is fairly high. In order to fully avoid it, you have to either stack units one in front of another, or be more than 2 squares away from your units. There's going to be some point in the game where you won't be able to keep this formation.
Even if you somehow do, after mid-game stacking units together will no longer be an option. A portal guardian or amara healer is going to come out that you won't have an instant answer for (dispels used on earlier targets). It's a constant looming threat that is always very likely to happen because of how many card draw mechanics the faction has.
The abyssian "version" you talk about is slightly easier to avoid and less dangerous because it requires an active setup. Vertruvian can just summon whatever he wants in the meantime, the defending player is the one that has to play clumsily just to try to avoid a SF/TW combo.
To be fair tho, the vet deck also needs a minimum of ~ 9 legendaries and 6 epics.
I am not familiar with this combo, but I might be able to guess why.
A combo's strength is based on two things
>likelihood of happening
>damage it deals
I imagine the combo you listed requires 3+ cards and is not a 1 turn deal. I'm trying to break rank 5, and I don't really encounter any magmar combos that make me rethink my desire to play this game, but this Vet thing is just. I don't even have an answer for it, but I don't care that much since I don't see it that often.
>Third Wish needs to be used on top of Star's Fury
I'm a Vetfag and I know that Third Wish is retarded. It's our only real burst though and comes with targeting requirements so fuck it.
If Vets get a 7-mana 2-card combo that deals 15 damage with the right positioning on an empty board can we complain about Songhai's two-card 4-mana combo for 14 damage with the right positioning on an empty board? Mask of Shadows is straight fucked.
1 hp, literally every other faction can dispel / kill it from a distance with a cheap spell.
He was talking on early game, Portal Guardians are by definition a threat if left unchecked for too long. Early game they're a big wall but they're more defined by the threat they are late-game when any player can summon 3-4 minions a turn.
Mystic is Neutral and thus an advantage on every faction. Sarlac is great though.
Portal guardians have high hp helping to stall the game by positioning even if dispeled, not to mention they still can be First and Third Wish'd, it's not about a threatening board early game, it's about stalling it.
>mfw I just realized I can dispel Mechazor with Mana Burn because it reads "Dispel a space" instead of "Dispel a minion"
C U C K E D
Most broken cards but still whine about being underpowered tier
Not going to let you have a fun match tier :
Take five minutes to summon three minions and move slighty to the right tier :
Hope you get bored and leave after forty-five minutes tier :
Literally only me have trouble beating them tier :
Just go Lyonar and take every literal provoke and dispel. Rush them and they will lose with no way to fight back. In gauntlet these 3 things are king:
Prioritize those and you will win.
I disagree, I rarely ever win because of something like a Dragonbone Golem. It's all about having creatures that are bigtime value and cheap, and that's where Lyonar rules
>I rarely ever win because of something like a Dragonbone Golem. It's all about having creatures that are bigtime value and cheap
I mean things that scale in stats or keep triggering effects for some reason. Since not everyone has the best removal options and dispel is limited, it's not unusual for some infinite scaling effects to win games.
Well I have won games (in gauntlet) due to the superior Storm metal golem.
Coming out a turn earlier makes it's total damage output higher for quite a few turns after.
>First time doing Gauntlet, decide to go Vet
>start of 3-0
>next game face lyonar
>he has literally every card in the game that can heal + 2 immo
>Que up again
>Same fucking guy
>Wait 2 hours just in case
>que up and met another lyonar that has almost the same fucking deck
It seems hard to make a good vet deck in gauntlet, or maybe lyonar is just easy mode.
>started playing yesterday
>managed to get like 400 gold by doing all the tutorials and dailies and stuff
>spent it all on orbs
I didn't even know about Gauntlets. Fucking hell. Should've spent my gold on that instead.
This one, as far as I can tell you're meant to use the polarities to get 3 more damage out of three walls.
Oh yeah i forgot i was supposd to show up at the thread tourny a few days ago
Whos new king of /dyg/?
Flipping the 2/2 walls works for some reason. I have a feeling it's bugged.
Oh I remember I was considering that. I just realized it isn't bugged.
The sword of akrane is a continuous +1 while the primus fist is permanent, so primus walls survive a flipping but the other ones don't.
I think the problem is it stacks base and enhanced stats and doesn't show you those numbers when you're looking at the unit's details.
It's probably so it doesn't confuse casuals but it's pretty bad regardless.
Word, if they took it in consideration when making the challenge I don't know what made them think it was a good idea to keep the numbers hidden.
Then again one of the challenges has a blazing orb that does two damage and lets you skip the entire "kill the enemy in one turn" thing so I don't even.
>playing gauntlet to distract me from that feel when no gf
True but did you guys watch this
>That feel when you drafted magmar
>That feel when draft is so bad I got keked by Abysshitters
Sometimes this game is disgusting
I haven't seen much about it. I don't have the card pool to pull it all together yet and I'm noticing a lot of struggle early game while I try to reach a critical mass of creep.
I don't know much about Abyssian in general. Never broke 9 on this game and getting there was mostly starter Abyssians and Songhai for me.
Still, slower decks tend to hate creep from what I've seen. Basically adds a clock to the game if the Abyssian player gets the right shit going.
What if Glacial elemental also targeted generals for his 2 dmg?
>all my classes are lvl 11 except vanar
>get vanar quests
>well shit, I guess I might as well
>3 wins in a row
>5 wins in a row
>8 wins in a row and gold.
The secret is being a silver shitter.
I like nigga better because 4hp demands higher focus than 3 for removal, and the disruption is useful to prepare a play next turn.
Any advice for me?
What should I buy next? A second Lady Locke or Voice of the Wind, or a Gravity Well?
Do not craft Gravity Well, the state it's in right now, I'd not craft it even for 100 spirit. Maybe 40 for laughs. I'd personally get rid of Blazing Spines for some Frostfires
Nope, requires setup, costs 5 mana so it can be crippling tempo loss on removal and sub-optimal on dispel, and it's easier to just whack to death than Ironcliffe Guardian.
Do not feel dirty even if you buff it to 26/10
Would either of the two work well with a deathwatch abyssian deck?
I assume dark nemesis would sync with shadowdancers in dealing direct damage to the general while killing small fries.
>Would either of the two work well with a deathwatch abyssian deck?
Dark Nemesis might work in a shadow nova/creep deck actually. But generally speaking, it's best go balls to the wall with rush and trades until 7 when shadow nova instawins.
I've seen both around 10-5 range. They're both pretty hit or miss I think. As lyonar I can rush a creep deck before they set up but not as easily as other factions for example.
Cancerbro may be the best abysshitter I've seen
Probably because of his hipster deck
I tried, it's just not worth it in my opinion.
It's a fun card to pull thought.
You mean 25?
Still If we had more HP the battles would be longer than a mirror healyonar.
>What does putting things up your ass have anything to do with sexual attraction?
So you're saying you just enjoy the stimulation but don't imagine it's a dick penetrating you?
there's that 6/9 +1manacost to enemy on next turn guy, I guess he's alway decent to good
The red guy that deals 7 dmg to random creep around him when his general gets damaged also seems to be pretty consistent, you usually get the creep kill right away
Top 5 legos, go!
2. Sarlac The Eternal
3. Silithar Elder
4. Lady Locke
5. Red Synja
I'll fix it
>Dying wish: summon a 0/1 Sarlac the Persistent on a random space
>has the same ability as "the Eternal"
and then you need to actually give it an attack boost or else it's just a wall minion.
How do I improve this abyssian burn dick?
What even beats a wallet Magmar with 3 makator beasts, slithan elders and all the fancy stuff? You can't rush him early game because he heals for 24 hp and wipes all 3 or less attack things out of the game.
I lost to Vanar 3 times in 6 games. Something's not working and I need your help to fix it.
How am I doing /dyg/? I have enough spirit for another legendary. Do I go for a third Metamorphosis or my last Elder?
Holy shit, I am so mad.
>turn 5 flash elder
>kill his ass, trade 1 unit for the kill and get both eggs with tempest
>turn 6 flash elder
>dispel him and get the egg, get some units out
>have to eat a blow from him next turn but my guys get him after
>tuern 7 he plasmas the shit out of my things, only have an emerald rejuvenation left
>turn 8 elder
>beam shock true stike trade another hit and hit him for 6 with my glaive aura'd rejuvenator
>hit egg myself
>out of cards on the field and just got a regalia/angel from my draw
>turn 9 phoenix brings him and his egg back
FUCK THIS GAME
FUCK THESE LEGENDARIES
What the fuck do you need so much removal for? Remove Crossbones. Bloodmoon Priestesses are shit, Shadow watcher is shit.
Actually, everything is shit, this deck is all wrong.
Keep the wraithing swarm, sarlacs, shadowdancers, gloomchasers and a few removal options but not fucking all of them.
Replace everything else except maybe the rejuvenators and shrouds.
If you're trying to play a weenie deck get yourself some deathfire crescendo.
Dunno, I just feel it's very frustating to play against. Shadow Creep is a pain in the ass, all her 1/1 tokens who can oneshot you anytime or used as removal, all her minions with Rush, the Shadow fucking girl who keeps dealing 1 damage and healing them for 1 or the other fucker who spawns Wraithlings on Deathwatch... Basically, everything from Abyssian must be deleted from the board instantly or you lose.
Excuse me, i play deathwatch Abyssian.
But if i don't get to set up properly by at least turn 5, i'm fucked.
You just have to remove the shadowdancers and priestesses first, wraithlings can go fuck themselves.
>0 mana dispel which target one minion
> 4 mana removal that can only be used to a minion close to the General.
Alright let's include that AoE 2 damages spell that hit everyone around the enemy General and that Dominate Will spell for 7 mana.
I don't count Star's Fury and Third Wish combo because if we're talking about Rush minions then half the Songay's cards can be labelled as "removal"
Abyssian - they have everything, songhai levels of burst with board control and creep needs a remake
Lyonar - having the strongest 2-4 unit drops while having healing for a life and a half, holy immolation is op.
First use the bone spell. It's not like it can't be used for something else. Magmar is now at 6 HP and the rock pulverizers at 2.
Use Flying spell to put the scorpio right below the emey General. Do not attack
Advance bottom Orb Weaver one tile to the right. hit Shieldmaster. You'll die and he'll be down to 2 HP.
With your Scorpio's position, you can now summon Frostmourne in the middle of everyone, your second Orb Weaver will be safe where he is.
There you go, Magmar down to 4 HP, and you can now attack him with your scorpio and your remaining Orb Weaver.
>Discard Natural Selection because there are 2 Obelisks on the table
>Redraw it at the end of the turn
