>How do I import my save?
You can use this website to create your own DA World History by bringing over your choices from the previous games. All you need is an Origin account to get started.
>Yar I'm a piratefag, help me break the law!
>Where is my Warden?
Waiting for the resurrection from Nevarran necromancer.
>/dag/ (incomplete) Art Archive
>Help /dag/ I want to give up on this shit already.
Friendly reminder that /dag/ is literally 5 y.o. almost ded girl, treat her with care.
MY LIFE IS A LIEEEEEEEE
>mfw chromatic weapon and dragon rage
i killed a dragon in like 20 seconds
It's all part of the Maker's plan
does /dag/ want a mechanical hand for their inquisitor to me is just looks stupid? i rather play a new character like a gladiator or slave
>Worshipping self proclaimed elf gods
Wrong answer, kid....
I'll save you /dag/!
I don't have a shot of my inquisitor leaping into action, but here's Viv scratching her butt
I don't want to play the Inquisitor in the next game. I would much prefer the Inquisitor to be my boss or whatever.
I hope character backgrounds are:
Tevinter Altus/Laetan for Human Mage
Avvar auxilia for non-Mage Humans
Slave for elves
Mercenary/Ben-Hassrath for Qunari if they decide to have them
Kal-Sharok for dorfs but that's probably a long shot
The anchor exists inside the Inquisitor.
Solas removed the immediate threat bit he says that even he cannot stop what will happen to you.
I assume you will implode into the fade like Cory did.
>Patrick Weekes @PatrickWeekes
>Intention was Solas' magic removed Anchor to save you, unfortunately taking your hand in the process.
There's was one more additional tweet about if Solas removed the anchor and the answer was yes.
He tells you that you have a few more years until the end, BUT NOT BECAUSE OF ANCHOR, BUT BECAUSE HE'S GOING TO DESTROY THE FUCKING WORLD YOU INCLUDED.
Fucking people, learn how to listen.
I never knew about this guy, so thanks for posting.
> Only the constant vigilance ofthe Stone's Children can keep the foulness of Malvernis at bay. The burden of living in exilebeneath the sunis terrible, but this sacrifice, this amgeforn, will ensure the sanctity of the Stone forever.
>—By decree ofParagonIlona
It says in exile of the sun. I find that a little strange. I can't find when she was paragon. I may look in wot later to see if I can find anything.
To continue and answer your question, I'm not sure. My first thought goes to Ancient Magisters, but I'll have to look that up. Setting aside key words to look for in folklore and history of other races might not be a bad idea either.
>We called it Malvernis. The Pestilent One. It devoured thaigs, turning our fairest work into a noxious waste. It consumed living warriors, turning their bodies to slime, and when its hunger was not abated, it consumed the bones of our ancestors.
I want to say it's spirit or demon of sorts, but this makes me thing it has something to do with the Blight. This is maybe my third time playing Legacy but I never paid much attention to these codex entries, but now they've got me wondering.
Why does she have a seam line down her abdomen?
Why are her ribs so visible?
Why is he so fucking huge?
I hope Hiro-kun brings back more old memes through filters...
What a lame honor-name
We got the Previews in on the 20th for the 21st. I usually only use the retailer order form and don't reference the regular one if I need to so I didn't think about it until tonight.
At least you guys got a better quality image from that person.
>in three years we can finally see Tevinter in its glory
HELLO MY NAME IS VALTA
I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PERSONALITY
black and yellow
OH BOY I SURE DO LOVE TOWER OF HANOI
I fucking lost it watching Varric trying to dodge Cass' fists
>am I cute, curious, and geeky enough yet for you?
>you will never get to bring Renn on a dragon hunt
It's especially annoying because they actually did a good job with Renn, but nope, we have to get Dagna 2.0
KotOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect, SWTOR, and now DA:I...
>give him paintings and return his sword
>starts calling me kadan
I miss him so much /dag/ ;_;
what if cullen was only attracted to male dorfs
Marry me, Sten! It's legal in Ferelden!!
kind of a creepy thing to write 2Bhonest
I think ol' Patty is taking himself a smidgen too seriously. It's easy for the game to manipulate players when every decision you make is slapped with "COMPANION APPROVES/DISAPPROVES". Naturally people are going to min/max the approval of characters they like. It doesn't really have anything to do with his writing.
Where is the light coming from? Ain't no sun down here
looks like /dag/ is ded for real this time
From my investigation, it's a sky. I ain't gotta explain shit.
>And now so much more
>But I won't tell you because I'm literally the worst character ever
my ideal DA4 companions:
Anderfells Grey Warden dealing with the aftermath of the Inquisition, hates Inquisitor if exiled
Kal Sharok dworf
Female romanceable Tal-Vashoth mage fighting with Tevinter against Qun
Slave with stockholm syndrome
Smart Darkspawn carrying on Archie's legacy
The slave, now that he is fighting for you and possibly earns some money, buys all the delicious food he could never eat, and continues to eat, as the story progresses he gets fatter and gets bonuses to defense, and penalties to speed.
> Furthermore he says that the Mother knows that the Warden-Commander works with theFatherand that's why she gives that gift to them. Then the First takes out an orb which sends the Warden-Commander to theFade.
> Upon waking up in the Fade, the Warden-Commander discovers that The First has also entered the Fade. It is quickly revealed that the latter didn't expect to enter the Fade as well and mentions that he was deceived by the Mother. Then he orders the other darkspawn around him to attack the Commander while he leaves in order to find his way out of the Fade. Furthermore, he will reject any offer to work together with the Warden-Commander.
because we have elves sympathizers among our ranks
Didn't know I had this in my library so I'm giving it a shot. First time DAO tips?
Is this game better with a controller?
o boy time for the worst zone in the game
Helm of the Dragon Hunter
Plate of the Dragon Hunter
My autism won't allow it
Desert maps in DA:I are GOAT
I felt like Western Approach was pretty cluttered for a supposed abandoned desert area
Unless you're talking about Hissing Wastes
which is an even better zone than Western Approach
Using Spell Purge as a detonator is legit one of the funnest things to do
>not using the number keys
Where do you think we are?
>Templars don't get any special dialogue in The Descent
So much for Cole constantly going on about how the Titan's song can be heard in Templars
/dag/ no more nigthmares, just sweets dreams
go to fuck to sleep
I think the only thing I hate more than elves are Orlesians
just like mother
While you sleep, some bad guys are trying to destroy the world. No sleeping allowed.
Why do the Dragon Age devs have such a hard time with handling villains? The Fear Demon at Adamant, Florianne, Corypheus are all comically bad.
Samson and Calpernia were somewhat decent but they never really explained where Calpernia's patriotism stemmed from. She was a slave from Tevinter, why would she have any loyalty to it?
A slave that is patriotic to a country that has only ever stood for slavery
He wanted to achieve godhood, but was a failure and was bested every step of the way. This was done to make the actual gods we end up meeting seem much more powerful... eventually.
I really hope that's not Bioware's reasoning. You don't build up a villain by having the one preceding it be really shitty.
>With the Old Gods gone and the Maker silent, it would take a god’s strength to reshape this world.
I was tempted, it was my third playthrough and right from the start he offered a very nice amount of money, but he still had my future wife, and she was pretty.
Damn you Duncan.
So if we are not playing our Inquisitor in DA4 then literally the entire game is you being used as a tool by solas to try and reclaim his orb, and you never stop being his pawn until he discards you and you become forgotten.
No, the protagonist will be the Herald of Hessarian, come to kill those who claim divinity (elves, including Solas), restore Tevinter, destroy the Qunari and maintain humanity's status quo, hopefully also elven genocide.
I don't understand the whole "darkspawn corrupting an old god into an archdemon" thing. How would that even work? If the taint is among other things a calling of the old gods to the darkspawn, how would an old god hear it's own calling, or be under it's own control, but then somehow be changed for the worse by it? I really hope they explain eventually explain what the taint actually is and where it came from.
>then literally the entire game is you being used as a tool by inquisitor to try and reclaim his friend/foe/waifu, and you never stop being his pawn until he discards you and you become forgotten.
Old Gods are hidden within various places in the deeproads. It seems like they're forever linked to the darkspawn by the song (maybe it was part of some kind of curse to the OGs for trying to use the magisters to escape). So the darkspawn spend their days listening to that song, killing shit, blighting everything up, and trying to find the source of the music. Once found, they awaken it and taint the OG with the blight. Now it's thoughts and actions are corrupted like the darkspawn themselves, except with far more power.
How pissed will you be if you don't get to genocide all elves?
Also what are your dealbreakers for DA4?
I'm just there for the ride. I'm sure there will be plenty of things to roll my eyes over, but I only want to see what happens and try to piece together some of the theories I've thought about or seen.
I would prefer to not elf genocide, but I kinda think everything is gonna be dead by the end anyway.
If they force me to help Solas or any other evanuris, wouldn't mind siding with the evil ones, just to spite Solas.
We must learn from Michel de Chevin, elves are inferior, humanity is superior, he knows it.
Mostly happy with it, since I'm planning to
restore elven empiresince DAO. Not by destroying the world, nope.
But for that you have to kill fen'harel' elves and that sucks. Just like with venatori - cool motivation but shitty realization and the leader. Such a shame.
It closes off any option for continuing the series though. It'll be Morrigan and her prophecy coming to light, Andraste's prophecy.
>1.Why? What is going to happen?Morrigan: Change is coming to the world. Many fear change and will fight it with every fiber of their being. But sometimes change is what they need most. Sometimes change is what sets them free.
If it's not Solas' plan coming to fruit, it'll certainly be along those lines.
>It'll be Morrigan and her prophecy coming to light, Andraste's prophecy.
I just think it would be awesome for the protagonist of the last Dragon Age game to put an end to Flemythal/Morrigan/Solas' uppity bullshit and have the prophecy not come true or on terms that are set against them
And you underestimating the Blight. If it would continue, it would swallow the world, Frostback Mountains included, it would continue and grow for years and in 9:42 there would be no one to close the Breach. The end.
If the Blight grew then Kirkwall would probably be overran and Hawke wouldn't be able to release Corypheus, and the Darkspawn would hopefully kill weaken Solas.
Orlais wouldn't fall as fast as Ferelden, they had wardens.
only one person worthy of that spot and it's not a shitty femdorf
Since the wardens are weakened as fuck plus have their own insideproblems and none from the nobles cares about "distant from their homes" shit, the blight would kill everyone faster then the breach would even appear. Good.
Would you dragonbone prosthesis?
What inside problems? This is 9:30 dragon, not Inquisition. Every Blight has lasted less than the last.
Wardens are trying to enter into Ferelden, Loghain doesn't let them. Ferelden falls, Orlais is next and Celene isn't the diplomatic idiot Loghain is and will be ready for the Darkspawn.
Then you have the Qunari, I'm curious how they would do on a war against the Blight.
The Old Gods will call to you,
From their Ancient Prisons they will sing.
Dragons with wicked eyes and wicked hearts,
On blacken'd wings does deceit take flight,
The First of My children, lost to night.
-Canticle of Silence 3:6
Do we have one of these for Orlesians?
The Chant of Light is the best written thing in the entire series to be honest
>And so is the Golden City blackened
>With each step you take in my Hall.
>Marvel at perfection, for it is fleeting.
>You have brought Sin to Heaven
>And doom upon all the world.
>The Stonehas a will that surrounds and directs; she guides even when we are willfully blind to her influence. But she is not pure. The Stone bears a corruption as old as balance. For thedwarvesto prosper, the gangue--the waste and unstable rock-- must be cut away. But like the Stone, the gangue also has an influence. Each of us must face this, must carve the worst of ourselves away, but theLegion of the Deadbears a unique responsibility. Only thefully adornedof the Legion can face the gangue, can cut into darkness that afflicts the raw Stone. She encircles us, and we must protect her, here where darkness meets light.
--A Legion of the Dead inscription, undated
What kind of creature is this thing and is the Stone susceptible to getting it in multiple spots?
Wait up. If you do go on the theory that Andraste was taking prophecies from Mythal all along, that could definitely give credence to the old gods being the Forgotten Ones
>The Forgotten Ones are by contrast a dark mirror presiding over arguably the worst aspects of existence: disease, terror, spite and malevolence.
>No one hears the screams as I pour molten lyrium through the eyeholes, the mouth, every joint and chink in the armor. They silence quickly, but the smell lingers, just a trace of blood in the greater stench of hot metal.
lyrium + blood + strong fade connection = mages
lyrium + blood + weak fade connection = templars
lyrium + blood + Stone = golems
What if the void is similar to the fade in that it has its own creatures or spirits (other than the Forgotten Ones) that reside there? So far we have the gangues, Malvernis, and possibly The Dark Theurge http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/The_Dark_Theurge
I'm just kinda speculating that they're related because of the Deep Roads being their location.
> What a day! First, I'll need somewool padding. Working withgolem shellscan chafe, don't you know? Second, alyrium potionmade by a master, to ensure the soul that once inhabited this armour is washed away for good. you wouldn't want thatgolem coming back, would you? Also somepure iron--pure, mind you. No imperfections at all! And a packet of groundblood lotus. Maybe some soup? No? No.
Codex for creating the inferno golem armor in awakening.
Also that brings me to lyrium wells again. It seems like they're awfully similar in nature to the Well of Souls.
It was fine yesterday. And now now it's not, right as elf discussions are happening.
But it's all just a coincidence, right?
I'm slowly trying to delve into the codices for Jaws to see if I can find anything else on the qunari too. I didn't play that dlc yet so trying to navigate through it is taking time. Qunari do seem to be the most neglected lorewise from whatI've seen so far.
maybe you should start a blog if you want your boring rantings to be seen by everyone instead of reporting everything
>taking the bait so easily
No wonder you fags hate the Game.
>But it's all just a coincidence, right?
>Demons bound into the rock! How did the ancient dwarves manage it without mages? (Binding runes? Subtle properties of stonework? Investigate!)
>"Gangue" carved into walls. Could be translated from Old Dwarven as "Stone waste" or "Impure spirit-of-the-stone." Dwarven superstition, saw demons as "impure" spirits of rock?
>Study impossible with dormant demons. Ask Sephus and Urathus for help with binding.
..... STOP FIGHTING .. vhenans :(
Since like beginning of September (correct me if I'm wrong, /dag/), all roll charts, POST-posts, selfies/belfies, /soc/-stuff aren't allowed and being reported and deleted. This person hates /dag/ and wish the death to us.
The idea that hes just walking around the house drinking coffee and speaking to door to door salesmen with such a fucking mangled face just cracks me up
Its a real pain in the ass, That stuff really helps a generals culture to develop.
>mfw Fallout 4 has better romances, companions and writing than DAI
>DA3 was cut almost in half from the original idea for its arc. They combined that with the cut DA2 expansion, which is what Inquisition is now.
>DA4 will be the second half of that arc, presumably.
>The idea for a playable epilogue for "the search for Solas" was scrapped. Thematically/tonally they felt it didn't work: they wanted to leave off on a moment of revelation.
>There was a point in Here Lies the Abyss where you ended up in the Deep Roads and encountered the intelligent darkspawn from Awakening that was scrapped.
Just finished Witch hunt for the first time, do we ever find out what the other 'gift' was that Morrigan leaves you after going through the mirror? I don't remember if anyone ever mentions it again.
