You would still be on a schedule because if there's some kind of time gating you'll still see a huge number of people who don't have time to do them before 11 other people have already finished for the week.
Actually you wouldn't. We already have full ships during scheduled EQs so anywhere during Japan time you should have plenty of people, even around 1-2AM you should still have enough, that's not accounting for gaijins.
Another good thing is that it would stop the timer chasing because you can do X EQs more. It would help people in smaller teams immensely since they can just do them in half empty states most of the time since it will just take them longer for the same drops, and it will probably be more fun.

The main problem is that neither solution is perfect, far from it, but the current implementation is the most "fair" for the largest number of players.
It's so fair that I am missing all of my PDs except for weekends when I can do one and only if I stay up late.
Daily limits would be way better since you are assured to be able to complete them during the same hours scheduled EQs take place. On top of that it will make running EQs in smaller groups or solo useful. You don't need to carry anyone.
Anyone that can honestly say he is not missing any important scheduled events can also say he will always have someone to do daily limit EQs with.

That would honestly be the worst system unless LEADER PAYS is an option, at which point you're stockpiling passes for 11 other people. Yes I know you might not need 12 people, but if we're talking about a workable solution that works fairly across the entire population, then it should be an idea conceived around that notion.

I don't know feasible it is at this point but the game really needs a way to resume a session after getting disconnected, within reason. Grace period of a minute or something.

Guess what? On boosted PDs we have entire ships full. You can't just say that everyone will do their stuff on daily resets when not everyone might even want to stay up to 0AM in Japland. Dailies are also much faster to do (the important ones) than running 30 minutes of an EQ.
Just look at any game with daily quest limits, there isn't some super special hour to run them. Even after midnight you get to find groups in games much deader than PSO2 without as many NEETs.
If Sega really wants to avoid concentrating the playerbase during one hour then they can put the reset around 4-5AM. And doing a day's worth of EQs should take longer than dailies.

This I would agree with wholeheartedly for Boss EQs that lock out new joins after the event is initiated. Would be a bit pointless for point-based EQs, but it really does suck getting completely buttfucked because of a connection hiccup.

I joined literally yesterday, having more fun than might be legal. All the "rares" dropping is super weird to me still though, a big shock compared to PSO.
Outside of cash-shop bullshit this game actually does a lot of cool stuff, like the mixing of single and multi-party zones. I'm sure I'll turn super sour like most of you soon but for now I'm loving the ride.
Except it still disallows one thing: smaller groups of 4-5 players getting to do their EQs however they want and still get the same rewards which is the important part for me.
Smaller groups have a wealth of other options, from SHAQs to CM. If your complaint is not being able to do the exact content you want, exactly when you want it, when it's not an issue for so many other players since ships are filling entirely for EQs, I wouldn't hold my breath.

All I want is for Sega to make running content with a group of friends more viable. Nowadays it's 12/12 or bust on most. Not many teams can allow themselves to get regular full MPAs on any EQs.

A majority of JP teams 12 or larger already do that. They coordinate sekrit mpas. Did you know there are actually like 20 or so all JP teams on shit 2 that just don't leave their team room unless they're going to the mission counter? And that's not even counting Vita-only teams.
I would hardly call that a group of friend. What about those playing with 3-4 friends? Do they not exist? Or are some silly legendary JP teams not being able to move out of their team rooms so much more popular.
Just because there are sikrit ignition/redroom/ship4 MPAs nobody would want to play with the 3 other guys left only during an EQ at a shit hour? That would be fun just because of the gameplay differences and we get deterred from it thanks to the timed nature of EQs and more runs = better on most of them.

It's not scaling down. It's just a change to the format. You see when you fight PD or even Luther as long as you defeat them before the time limit you don't lose anything unless you are alt running, it might've been harder and even more risky if you are shit but you get the same reward for more work and they don't increase the faster you kill it.
Now try to put it in TD1-3. Even if you work really hard for your S rank it ought to be slower. You get less runs and it means way less rares.
The problem isn't scaling down, the problem is scaling rewards up so much the faster you do something.
And Vindictus was very friendly to that and soloing.
Vindictus had some pretty great endgame if you were into bossfights but Nexon slapped the turbo grind and p2w on and everyone left after breaking their weapons trying to meet ever increasing attack requirements.
But PSO DOES have end game content.

Is this bait? Falz Hunar has better versions of HU and FI abilities. All they would have to do is make a version suited towards players and not the AI. And most of the mech bosses have alternate forms with extra abilities. I miss the times where SEGA would have bosses fight each other, though. Those events were rad as hell.

I know there are tons of bosses in the game now, but if vita loading is a problem, then they could just split it into 2 missions: one for minibosses and one for field bosses. Maybe even one with the Falzes (in hunar form and EQ form with decreased HP) on top of that.
That would be fine too, only if it's more challenging. And it's gotta be a game mode with decent rewards.

Well you're not wrong. But having a mode where players fight each other as Boss VS ARKS might be cool if done right. Bosses would have to be heavily modified up to the point where you can play and control them just as you would with your normal characters. There would be limitations of course, but it wouldn't be the worst idea if executed properly with decent rewards.
Or we can just introduce a story mode where we get to play as the enemies for once because

Is there a list or video somewhere that collates what each weapon does?
I've noticed that knuckles have a parry or short term block\dodge whereas partizan has a sustained block for instance. I can't seem to find a compiled list of what makes each weapon unique except for an outdated video for only the first handful of weapons.
Mainly what's unique about every weapon, I figure that'd cover all the differences between their blocks, also things like wired lance tends to have a lot of grapple PA's, partizan is good at building pp, etc.
I can't seem to find an up to date list of this stuff but it's information that everyone seems to know as I've read bits and pieces here and there.

Gear gauge inccreases the speed of your attacks/PAs as opposed to their power, dodging will not reset gear, allowing you to keep your momentum going. With the skill Knuckle Gear boost, you gain double the gear from attacking. Great for fighting bosses on the ground
Shift action summons a whirlwind around you that deals damage to any enemy that is near you. Has no defensive options naturally, but with the skill DS Wind Parrying, you gain the ability to parry with your shift action (obv). Fighter's main mobbing weapon.
Gain gear not by attacking enemies, but by staying in the air. Any action that makes you rise higher into the air, including jumping, will increase your gear gauge. At full gear, you gain a whopping 1.5x damage bonus. Touching the ground or being knocked back will reset your gear gauge. Shift action is a spin with amazing parry frames, and the skill TD Spin Move allows you to move in any direction with your spin. A few PA's and even normal attacks also have parry windows if timed right. Great for fighting areial bosses or bosses that jump all over the place.
Can hold guard, gear levels increase damage and charge speed of your PA's. Great for mobbing, has really good AOE PA's.
Gear gauge is filled by holding guard or doing the spin animation after a normal attack or PA. Using a PA will decrease your gear gauge by one bar. Great for bossing, mainly because of Vol Graptor
Build gear by hitting things, grapple PAs decrease gear gauge by 1 bar in exchange for increased power.

Shift action is a guard that can be held , but if you Just Guard an attack while at full gear, you gain a temporary powerup which you will see as a purple aura surrounding you. Has several chargeable PAs that have to be released at the right time to do the most damage. This is pretty easy to get a hang of after you've used the weapon for a day. the Br skill Katana Combat basically turns you into Vergil for 20 seconds. If you click the skill again after activation, you release a n AOE finisher that increases in damage based on how many hits you got during KC.
Build gear by hitting things and use the shift action with at least 1 bar of gear to throw photon blades at an enemy. The Bouncer skill Photon Blade Fever and its related skills let you throw an increased amount of photon blades that do more damage than normal. This can be spammed for incredibly high single-target DPS.
Shoot things. As a ranged weapon, headshots do extra damage and also proc weak hit advance. Can load special bullets with skills, including Weak Bullet, which increases damage to the point it is applied on by 2.5x. Good single target damage, not that good for mobbing outside of End Attract
Slow, but does big damage and its PA's have good AOE. Basically the sword of R-Atk weapons. Has a few special bullets of its own (Jellen Bullet and Bind Bullet), but they are next to useless compared to Weak Bullet
Ranged weapon that is designed like a melee weapon. Shift action is a flip that can be done in any direction other than forward and has tons of i-frames. Has a few PAs that do striking damage, but still scale off of R-Atk. The Gunner skill Zero Range advance gives you a damage bonus for using shooting attacks/PAs at close range, and several of the TMG PAs benefit from this. Good for bossing, mainly because of the Chain Trigger skill.
Best weapon for bossing in the game. Has the PAs Chase Arrow; which shoots arrows into a void which converge on an enemy once they get hit by a PA, and Banish Arrow, which sets a bomb on an enemy which explodes for 1.2x the damage said enemy takes from the last PA it got hit by. The two skills can be combined for insane single target damage that can allow you to one shot any boss in the game that isn't a falz. Also has the skill Rapid Shoot, which increases the amount of arrows you shoot with your normal attack.
Hybrid melee/Ranged weapon. Shift action swaps between sword mode and gun mode. Its PAs deal both melee and ranged damage. Pretty good for bossing.
Use it to cast techs. The Force skill Charge Escape lets you keep your charge when you use Mirage Escape while charging a tech. The skill Rod Keep allowe you to use your stored tech at no PP cost. Not much else to say here
Throw a card in front of you and use it to cast techs at a distance. While Rods are better for casting techs that can be free-aimed or fired in front of you, talises excel at using techs that would normally be unsafe due to their close range. This makes it great for crowd control, especially with zondeel (lightning tech that sucks in enemies). The skill Talis Tech bonus gives you a 20% damage bonus for casting techs using a thrown talis, but this does not apply to compound techniques because they are casted from you and not your talis. Rods are preferred for compounds for this reason
A melee-tech weapon. Hitting things with your wand with full gear causes elemental explosions. The skill Wand Lovers gives you max gear all the time, but changes your Mirage Escape to a standard step. The skill Wand Reactor takes a portion of your wand's T-atk and adds it to your S-atk. Good for mobbing.
Another melee-tech weapon, and one of the of the more unique weapons in the game. Can double jump, and has its own PAs that it can use along with techs. With Jet Boots Gear, charge any tech to change your boots' element to the tech's element. All of its PAs have a "second phase" that you can use by pressing shift while using the PA. Also has the skill Elemental Burst, which creates an elemental AOE explosion that does a bit of damage, but is mainly used for procing status. The skill Rapid Boost increases the speed of your attacks and PAs and charge speed of techs. If you want, you can also go S-atk boots with the skill switch strike, which makes JB attacks and PAs scale from S-atk instead of R-atk once activated. Great for mobbing because of moment gale and zondeel.

Not really, you get a 3 second window from when you first dealt damage after planting the arrow, sort of like vol graptor. If I remember correctly it's only 1.2x if you charge it, too.

Currently you can purchase units in the end with prem.
The only way that has been evaluated to show the most accuracy of skill has been ta's and boss kill times; however, people have always avoided it because they found it too "difficult".
Sega holds tourneys for both sides and live streams that consistently, but many don't care for it because they cant hold a to the elites that are already on 8 & 12 step dashers.

What's happening to this general now is shockingly similar to what happened back in the day when /mk8g/ was active. History is repeating itself. The reason why /mk8g/ is so dead now is because it became nothing more than a hub for circlejerking and people cared more about popularity or trying to control the community than actually playing the game. Eventually the regulars realized that they werent interested in the game outside of the social aspect and left en masse for newer games (Smash, Splatoon, etc.) while leaving the general a hollow shell of its former self. I don't think it would be too far off to assume that's going to happen here once Episode 4 drops/BnS releases.
I'm not that attached to this community to be honest, but I just thought i'd let you guys know this is probably what's going to end up happening here.

Just to be clear you're not talking about the usual klotho client orders. No, they don't use those maps they use a much more crueler map system.
If they gave you maps you already knew then things would be too piss easy.
They give you map layouts you have not even have seen before called the "Arks festival" its the reason why you get those neat normal looking human clothes each year. The overall difficulty can go from easy to insane on just normal.

Not very, LB doesn't affect techniques, you'll only take advantage of x-line slayers when it's on and critical strike, maybe also the PP regen from crazy heart, but not really worth it over ele conv and main class weapon bonus.
I wish the design team would just stop this "series" nonsense and went back to design unique rare weapons. Look at these "farmable" 13* they're all the same.
Positively thinking though, they're probably saving the legendary ones for 14/15*

In your argument, you claim that SEGA's target audience is the older users (because of so much legacy stuff coming back) and therefore new items should focus on them. But the argument is not completely supported as SEGA makes new stuff that doesn't appeal to you at all. In that case, SEGA has actions in favor of nostalgic tastes and equal actions in favor of those without. So you cannot so easily say SEGA's target audience is just people with your tastes.
And yet it goes on that way.
