What are the most desirable traits on a weapon?
General>Regrowth, extra ammo
Shields>Push, stamina(only 1 extra point..?)
Things like that. Can we have something like this in the op? y
I will purge all degenerates on this board before the night is through
I wouldn't say regrowth in general.
It's good for fast weapons since your CC and killing power relies on many fast hits. Same applies to normal attack chance to kill instantly.
For slower weapons I'd rather take bloodlust.
Also, push for shields isn't as good as for everything else since their pushes already stagger stormvermin.
I'd still say stamina, ammo, and push are the general best traits and the rest builds around those. Although, on the other hand, for a handgun or an xbow I'd rather take more killing traits than ammo for smoother sniping since you won't snipe 24 specials before ammo anyway. Longbows still benefit from ammo since the hip fire is effective at close range.
>Witch Hunter dies
>Elf says something along the lines of "He's with Sigmar now... if he were anything more than a tale"
I'm confused; I don't know shit about Warhammer but I was under the assumption that the gods manifested themselves, to the point where their existence was not questionable.
Then I'll kill everyone
The average person in universe doesn't know this.
There are still people during the happenings of Vermintide that think Skaven are not real.
I managed to break the ai by spawning way too many rats. I actually crashed my game but it was funny to watch. They started to spin around. If i can break it again, i want to try and record it.
>get that giant crash dialogue
>was swinging at the time, click back into game
>continues normally, but can only hear hit sounds
>beat the map and get my loot
>close the dialogue
Skaven AREN'T real.
Sigmar was less a god, and more a really badass human dude who founded the empire.
He disappeared more then 2000 years ago under mysterious circumstances, so a cult formed that worships him as a god.
The elf is being skeptical about Sigmar being anything more than a guy who founded an empire and then disappeared.
The beam staff seems like shit. The primary attack has an insane heat cost, poor damage and nonexistent range. The beam also does subpar damage, it doesn't even kill normal rats instantly like the small primary fireballs would. And this was on babbymode (hard).
Why is this considered good again?
Think of it from an elf's perspective
>story of man who founded empire
>does a bunch of heroic shit
>ascends to literally godhood
>kek a lowly human couldn't do anything of the caliber of founding an empire let alone becoming a god
>otherwise all of us would have been gods by now if some lowly savage did it
>doing HoM, cata
>first attempt is a bit shaky, but we manage
>final encounter goes okay, floor opens up
>I get blocked from going into the hole by skaven emerging from the ground, teammates get to the elevator okay
>they can't activate it
>I go down
>meanwhile, the elevator is swarmed by stormvermin and everyone else dies
>group sticks around for round 2, thank fuck
>we blitz through it all agains, 3t2g, barely any real damage taken
>reach the horn again
>my connection drops
>I was the host
>those people probably hate me now
fucking countryside internet
I want to die
please let me die
The primary is a knockdown on rats. The secondary can slowly stunlock or you can pull the trigger while in the beam for a burst nuke.
It's considered good because it is unequivocally the best BW item in the game.
Races tend not to believe in the gods of other races, especially gods like Sigmar. Karl Franz achieves apotheosis and becomes Sigmar during the End Times, but any manifestation of phenomena were probably dismissed as the work of wizards or some form of magic.
You shotgun till your overcharge is at about half done so your attack speed doesn't get fucked.
Then you switch to sword while you cool down.
Which is why earthing rune on charge attack is bess for wiz swords since those sword charge attacks have about a hammer's worth of knockback, meaning you'll rek hordes even while cooling.
Got my first ever orange, I usually never play Witch Hunter but I might give him another shot.
How's this, /vtg/? I know the rapier generally seems to be preferred but this thing is about 3x as powerful as the best rapier I have at the moment.
Not actually... and fuck spelling.
The End Times thing said first that one of Sigmar's champions began to fight Archaon wit the Ghal Maraz. They were doing pretty good and then a Skaven scum killed the champion from behind and Archaon got upset.
Then he fought Karl Franz and rekt the shit out of him. He wa supposed to be the reincarnation of Sigmar and he didn't even held as long as the champion. Franz had the Ghal Maraz somehow.
Then some shit happens and Sigmar himself comes and starts fighting Archaon and that keeps going until the world is consumed by some bullshit vortex black hole stargay-tier magic.
Also it mentions that Ulric uses his very existence to save I can't remember who, I think Sigmar? And give him strenght so he fights on pair with Archaon but far too late to the party.
Does that mean the End Times is actually just the dream of some autistic kid or a story we are playing as and not actually "canon" in the universe as an actual happening but as a book to read to your children?
No we're in the canon universe because the canon universe is killed and sigmar's spirit somehow stays alive despite the chaos warp eating everything, and sigmar meets a space dragon who gives him the power to create a new 'universe' and 8 themed planets are born and sigmar rules over one while the elf gods pick another and chaos gets one and archaon gets one and somehow skaven have multidimensional rat holes now that can go anywhere they want even inside sigmar's h ouse
>rat ogre spawns on the elevator that takes you up to the horn
>this has now happened three games in a row
>ogre accompanied with either an ambush, a horde, or a combination of horde and random assortment of specials
>wipe every time because there's no space to maneuver in
Fuck this I'm done, Horn of Magnus: Vermintide was fun for a while but I can't handle this shit anymore. At some point I just stopped having fun when I managed to lose 10 games in a row due to either goody-two-shoe morons who refused to go along, just flat out bullshit spawns, glitches like hookrats pulling people through walls into unreachable areas, gutters knocking people out of bounds and so on.
>do hom on hard
>the dwarf wants to exploit and the soldier joins in on the beam
>tells me to come
>say that exploits are not needed on babbymode
>stay near the horn
>the elf is torn
>finally decides to join me
>the horn is sounded
>fight hordes with the elf
>finally the dwarf and soldier join us
Axe/Shield for the dwarf is great. It's just that the WH axe is single target only, so it's horrible when you are dealing with vermin swarms most of the time.
Although the WH axe is fantastic for fucking up stormvermin and doing loads of damage to a rat ogre if you can safely melee it.
X/shield is more personal preference since all versions have their own strengths.
I personally prefer Axe/Shield because it deals with stormvermin better, and the charge attack will hit hordes anyways.
Is that so?
I got a blue Axe/Shield today with that 30/40% chance for a free shield push and 10% chance to regen life. I thought it was kinda shit but I haven't actually used it.
I know hammer/shield is better for crowds but the axe just feels much more satisfying.
this is the furries fault I swear
Are you sure? I find that Axe, Sword and Mace can spam shield bash like a motherfucker at sanic speed and control a horde by yourself. However, Hammer cannot and you lose precious seconds charging your bash and sometimes it just comes out as a strike.
Serious answer is most players dropped WHFB after they retconned the events of Storms of Chaos
basically a series of tournaments where 'the players decide the outcome' based on the results. GW ended up retconning it because Chaos got fucking annihilated and gave us 8e + The End Times after years of begging for an update to the game and maybe even the storyso players just stopped playing the game until GW unfucked it, however 'due to poor sales and reception of WHFB' they sacd the universe to make room for AoS because they can't coexist apparently.
Basically they though the loss of the WHFB fanbase was worth the potential new fanbase they could get with AoS and gave everyone who was waiting for 9e / the game to unfuck itself the big shitty finger.
It's funny because it sets a precedent for 40k, if they ever feel like judging with their wallets now they'll have to be worried that GW will nuke their setting too
Which one my fellow BW aficionados?
Earthing rune seems bitching but the flaming sword is so pretty and it has guard(chance not to lose stam) and blow(push) and bloodlust(hp regen on kill).
Fire sword has earthing rune, pommel and berserker.
>end of EB, after you destroy the pillar
>WH and BW run ahead
>elf and I caught on terrain and fall behind
>gotta constantly push rats off the elf while running, eventually gets caught by an assassin
>save the git and continue onward
>horde pincers us because of the two idiots miles ahead spawning rats in front of us
>elf gets downed again
>duo tells me to just leave him
>refuse to do so
mainly because he had one of our tomes
>they call votekick on me
Elf was a cool guy and defended me luckily. Seriously though, when will people learn to fucking play as a team?
The worst thing I've seen is when you've got two people that know eachother on a team and they decide to go out of their way to fuck over and shun the randoms and make the whole team fall apart.
Guess you got die from the skaven patrol too!
The guy'll have to switch to sword once he gets hot anyway. Better if there's a chance at less downtime on spells when facing a horde.
If it weren't earthing rune on charge strike then I'd agree.
>The Elf players kills almost everyone with a bomb too
>The Wh with his last breath tosses a bomb back at her and kills her
>His last words, Don't let that elven witch outlive you
For staff, I'd definitely say a Rune of some sort (lower overheat generation), less health loss from overheating, regrowth. Sometimes, faster attack speed can be good, but otherwise, hail of doom is good.
Then again, I only use Beam staff nowadays, so maybe my choices aren't the best.
I'm not a fan of the less health loss from venting rune since it's way better to just switch to sword in that situation anyway.
Even more so if you have an earthing rune in the sword.
>left-clicking causes you to toss grimoires into the abyss
Fucking for what purpose
>game runs pretty well, defaults to medium
>gas rat shows up
>have to look the fuck away to keep frames at decent clip
what the fuck even is this optimization
>team tells me to grab this
>I've played for, like, an hour at most, what the fuck is a grimoire
>pick it up. lose a ton of health, panic
>oh god its a cursed book its going to kill me
>select it, mash my button options, end up throwing it away
>they're laughing over the mics, explain what a grim is, and get on with the run
Sometimes people are alright, I guess.
Is overcharged Drakk pistols better against ogres or single shot
Im lvl 24 and I have yet to even see these fucking handcannon things for my dorf, they look fun. What level does the game take pitty on you and give you a white welfare pair of them?
As someone who actually likes the loot system all-in-all, I really don't understand what they were doing with the level-up rewards. Doesn't seem to ease you into the different weapon options for each class over time like it should.
Just had a game where BW got stuck on a fence and the soldier spawned in below the floor, all during combat with the rat ogre. The only other game I managed to actually clear today resulted in a roll of 0. I feel like biting my cock off.
I know they want to colony drop the moon on us, but goddamn their speech is adorable.
>Piss on you I will!
hail of doom isn't an ideal trait on anything but it's at least decent on everything
if anyone knows they haven't made it common knowledge, I've seen theories that it affects loot roll slots. Maybe it does something like affect chance of items being inside a chest you open. Maybe some really obscure shit like making the director go easier on you, who even knows.
>Share potion effect with the whole team useless.
>AoE heal trinket useless when it can turn gray hp into colored.
GW just doesn't understand how great it was that their puffed up end times harbinger got his fuckin' ass handed to him. A setting where nightmare knights from hell invade the mortal realm to cover it in blood and death and get their shit kicked in by dudes with puffy pants is astounding, and they threw it away so that they can have sigmarines fight chaos space marines. Again.
I don't know. I got a pair of orange ones with good traits but I think the suck at everything that isn't glitching HoM. I'd much rather have a handgun and leave CC/trash clearing to the shields and the wizard.
For the record I am level 51 and haven't gotten them. Also near level 40 you begin to get greens instead of whites as you level up.
That's weird. I mean to say "kek"; Al right lets see: c.uck.
Is this truly spam? How is your system so very advanced? Are you the Electric Eye in the sky, we feel your stare? Always there?
That's because when you use that word without any knowledge as to its connotative or denotative meaning and spew it solely because it is a popular word to say and somewhat insult like, you make yourself seem like a fucking retard
This is one of the few word filters I am so very thankful for
>Nothing hit me,no rats around
>This happened 3 goddamn times already
It mentions the "Gamester" which sounds like gambling.
Or maybe.. just maybe. "Gamester" stands for the whole game and it actually does some insane things.
>tfw you finally get an orange for the class you play
I like games with obscure mechanics, anyway. I sorely miss the DeS golden age.
At least he got perfect balance
>playing because insomnia
>do random hard wiz tower hard and get stuck as elf
>laggy as fuck
>get put in near the start with high levels that kinda suck
>we dredge through the game to the finale
>all hunker down on rear ward
>near the end when we're swarmed by so many rats I hit 20 something FPS
>everyone but me dies within 15 seconds
>ward going down
>getting surrounded by a shit ton, start carving out of the mob and backdodging while cleaving
>dodge all the way to another ward when the rats are finally dead
>ward has a sliver of HP left
>pull out bow and snipe rest
>ward HP is literally empty on the bar
>finale ends and everyone revives
>get every single award
>6% chance to apply "deadly poison" on attack
Useful? Would this apply on every attack, even ranged? Bracers/Rapier WH might appreciate it.
Those are my blue pair. Fucking amazing. No ammo worries, one-shots on normal and hard, dragonsbreath secondary attack. Got them my first night. What can I say?
>play dorf, frontline with 2h hammer or 2h axe
>take 83 damage through the course of the match
>elf who did nothing but waste arrows on trash the whole match takes 800 some damage
ANGRY ABOUT ELVES
You can read them on the wiki. The only ones I know are WH ES and BW. WH had captured BW and was escorting her somewhere to be doused at the stake or something and had hired ES to help, and they happened to be in Ubersreik at the time of the attack.
Check the hero pages on the official website, there's a backstory for each of them.
Short version is the elf followed a random grey wizard, the soldier is helping the witch hunter take the bright wizard to trial, and the dwarf is looking for a book that might help him find a lost dwarven hold.
The Mage, Sergeant and Witch-Hunter all came into town together because the Witch-Hunter hired the Sergeant to help him hunt the witch, they captured it and were spending the night in the inn when the Skaven happened.
I don't know about the Dwarf or the Elf, although I'm interested as to why the Elf is there because you're about as likely to see Wood Elves outside Athel Loren as you're to see a Space Marine in the Old World.
A loading screen told me the Dwarf is looking for something. My question is though, why is Okri so awesome and why aren't we playing as him instead?
Has anyone else had the problem of constant crashes in the chapter III mission where you go into the Skaven Tunnels?
I wish we got DLC or a content patch already I want new items, item skins and playable characters
>Doing WR Cata runs for loot
>Roll Orange Trinket
>Get something called Star of Sisterhood
It's effect is "When worn you get a shared health pool with all other wearers of this trinket".
I don't know, if I had a tight group then this trinket would probably be bad ass, but I can't help but think if I wore it with other pubs (who actually had the thing) then I'd probably just constantly die without reason because some shitter won't stop taking damage.
If you haven't tried it already, go into the _CommonRedist folder of your Vermintide folder and run the DXSetup, Netframework and VCRedist packages.
I had a lot of crashing issues and I did this and haven't crashed after several hours of playing the game now on all the maps that consistently had that issue.
Imma guess you meant to say that the majority of players stopped playing.
Yeah, game's like a more difficult L4D and most people suck at it as you can tell from jumping into a pub game, so alot of shitters probably dropped it.
Doesn't mean a major content patch/DLC should be dropping so soon after release
Not him but do you know a good place to get some models for cheaper than what GW rips you off for? Kinda wanting to get some again because I love the building/painting and so I could do some WHFB with friends, but they're so fucking expensive it's not worth it at all
Azungi: Tough/Reliable(lit.Metal) Human
Grimgi: Harsh/Unyielding Human
Wutelgi: Wood(From an old oak tree, the only wood a dwarf would use)Elf
Zharrinn: Fire Queen(rinn=King's Consort)
/tg/ mods won't be happy until they kill that board dead. It used to be that you didn't even need the other boards anymore. Around 2011(?) then-new janitors "sanitized" it to make it SFW, and also went about removing everything they deemed "not /tg/ related" starting with broadly nerdy stuff like Star Trek general, then /tg/-related vidya, and so on. Now there's nothing allowed but 40k general, D&D general, and a hundred goddamn quest threads.
Most everyone has migrated to KoW, you can ask them. There was a recaster in a mordeheim thread earlier today, could try asking there too
/r/yoyhammer is a subreddit dedicated to reviewing recasters from chinaland
It's gotten a lot better again since the nazimod days. It's still not great because like you said, underage quest threads, 40k gen and d&d gen, but it's not nearly as bad as it was like a year ago.
Outside of /pol/ and /v/ leaking heavily into it
>nightmare enemy below
>with a really good group led by this witch hunter who knows all his shit
>we're at third tome with 2 grims
>3/4ths of the way done
>my game locks up
>get a shitty error message, don't close it or hit OK
>game unlocks after a minute
>i, the dwarf, simply ragdoll on the tome spawn and die
>try to explain what happened
>solly and saltzy go to retrieve my shit and tome
>bw is off alone, she gets pounced
>sound is bugged for the rest of the level
>bugged into the inn
>bugged into the next 2 maps we do
what the FUCK whY does it do this? almost every time i'm on enemy below this weird sound shit happens. i knew it had crashing issues but i get a dialog window of errors and if i hit OK or close it, my game closes. if i let it sit, then my game still works but is shitty like that
You guys ever notice how co-op games draw in the bottom of the barrel? The kind of people who have absolutely zero situational awareness and can't lead their shots with any degree of proficiency? I really wonder if half of them even know how to do charged attacks.
>successfully completed Well Watcher on nightmare for the first time
>tfw it doesn't even really count because we only succeeded to due an elf player clearly using CE/Trainer for infinite ammo/health potions/potions/bombs
Fuck, now I have to keep working at it to get a legitimate victory.
>/v/ leaking heavily into it
I hate this meme, /tg/ was at least 30% /v/ when it was first introduced from all the dawn of war threads, love can bloom, etc.
After the nazimod shit did /tg/ start getting this /co/mblr-esque ego where they think their circlejerk was better than everyone else. "/tg/ gets shit done" degenerated to a simple variation of "anon delivers" when the board did something cool to some weird creed people actually expected of themselves.
I'm lucky to have a group of friends to play with I guess, but I wonder if I can't start blaming them for not realizing that there's always at least one clanrat behind you at any given time by now. The amount of time we've wiped because someone goes down to one of those assholes and it topples the whole house of cards is frustrating.
Got trinket that reduce damage from poisonous clouds, is it worth wearing?
>Hard HoM because muh lewt
>Run's been going fine
>Going BW because I want a better staff than my shitty orange bolt staff
>Can't do shit to the ratstacks because shitty bolt hitboxes hitting pillars and shit
>Ten seconds before we can fuckoffski
>Dorf somehow falls off
>Kruber jumps down to help,I throw imp. firebomb, at least 20 kills
>It doesn't do fucking shit to stem the tide
>Say in chat "Fuck it let's go"
>Elfshit and I jump down, there's a fucking carpet of rats
>Panic and hold M1, spraying fire everywhere
>nearly kill myself, swap to sword and hack my way to the lift
>Hit the lever as soon as I get there, Elfshit made it too
>Manage to finish the game against all odds
>Roll a seven
>The Dorf had the second grimoire
>Missed out on an orange
I'm really fucking upset, but mistakes happen and according to the Dorf he had no idea how he fell off.
While I missed out on an orange it was actually a pretty fun and hectic moment in an otherwise boring farm
Orange, 90% damage reduction, didn't know they have other color variations.
I don't have much of a choice anyway, 6% speed and 20% not to consume S or P potions.
>Playing Nightmare Horn with pub
>Manage to make it through despite the level 40 elf being a retard and constantly running ahead
>Use beam to win
>Do level again
>Make it through to horn
>Elf is carrying grimoire and tome and refuses to do beam again and says he is doing the bench and blowing the horn
>He said he didn't like that the wizard was the only one getting kills with the beam exploit and it was unfair if we wanted that grim we would have to join him
>We join him because grimoire and he keeps running ahead of me and the soldier past the bench because the wizard was dropping most of them before they reached us
>Elf gets pulled downstairs by a packmaster and dies
>We wipe trying to save the grimoire
>He blames us for being shitters
>caring about kills
Sounds 'bout right
I'd go so far as to say that swords on a BW are mainly for crowd control while your overcharge is cooling so I don't think you'd get much mileage out of headshot. Burn on the other hand seems like something that'd come in handy when slashing at groups of enemies.
>Great hammer doesn't stop while plowing through tons of enemies
There will probably be a patch addressing stability/performance issues and some bugs/exploits before this week is over.
It seems like they are trying to make up a major patch that will address problems with the loot system and potentially introduce a bit of new content.
You would be surprised how hard it is to win with an elf-shaped weight dragging your team down and acting aggressively stupid. But you are ad elf what would you know. Dragging your team down and then blaming them when they don't carry you. But no lets blame the lack of exploits for the loss when in reality if we had a fourth member who wasn't a suicidal idiot it would have been fine.
mfw I just realised the Mage's staff would do team damage on nightmare mode. I've probably been burning my team mates the last few runs. What about the charged area attacks for the conflagration and fireball staffs?
Post your horde/ambush face and theme.
Never going to find a brace of pistols at this rate.
Last 5 loot rolls have rewarded me with repeater pistols and this was my first 7.
>mfw manlets talk shit about the greatest race from within their rat and shit filled caves
The more i read of him the more convinced i am that it's some kid's edgy manifestation. I wouldn't be surprised if he said "nothing personell" and teleported behind every kill.
Eventually the Chaos Gods gave the order, and he led the most ferocious and largest army of Chaos Warriors ever assembled against the Empire during the Storm of Chaos campaign for 6th Edition. Before he reached the location where he was to end the world, he faced Valten (a reincarnation of Sigmar himself), who had managed to kill Dorghar and smash Archaon's armor before being beaten near death. Then the Orc warlord Grimgor met smashed through his army single-handed, headbutted him in the junk, laughed at his sorry ass then went back to gather another army of greenskins.
The reason this bullshit happened? GW built the narrative around their battle reports, army by army. The problem is that Chaos kept losing. In fact, the good guys were winning so badly the only reason Archaon was pushing them back was due to plot. But GW had already pre-planned the story to become the grimderpofthe41stmilleniumwherethereisonlywar and make "End Times" be in the past tense. In the end, they resorted to having fans call-in the way they wanted the story to end hoping that Warhammer Fantasy fans would pick the faction with the pointiest stuff on their armor.
They chose a faction that had been beaten in the last match.
Fans chose Orcs over Chaos.
GW had no backup plan.
Grimgor's entire army had been beaten by Crom while Valten and Archaon fought. Grimgor got sick of rallying his forces, went "ZOG DIS, I WANNA PIECE UH DA ACTION!" and charged in to sucker punch Archaon as he was about to deliver the final blow to Sigmar and end the world, shout for the silent and awed assembled armies of the world to hear that "GRIMGOR IZ DA BEST!", then went back home to rally his army. This resulted in the snide nickname of "Light Drizzle of Chaos."
Later on, GW retconned almost the entirety of Storm of Chaos and instead made it an alternate continuity. In the current narrative, he's still amassing his army.
I have 6 more pairs but cba to upload 2nd screenshot
>use 2h hammer and grudge raker with 2x clip size
>get twice as many kills than the second best teammate
Feels good man.
How? Some kind of exploit, or? I wish I could get a shitton of drakefire pistols. Still impressive though
I think it's acceptable if you already have ES with handgun etc. on your team, although it's good to have two "snipers" just in case one of them fucks up/dies. Gas rats are fucking impossible to headshot so being able to do two bodyshots one straight after the other can be handy.
Actually these aren't bad for me since I still suck at managing overheats.
Packmasters do almost no damage at all even on Cata. They'd have to drag you for like 45 seconds in order to down you. Virtually ALL of the damage you take when grabbed is from other rats smacking your shit up.
Now, if it reduced damage taken from all sources while packmastered, it'd be one of the best trinkets in the game. Right now though, it's a wasted slot. Might as well put a luck trinket there.
And Waywatcher is the best when played well, she attracts bad players however, so most people never see it.
At the highest level and with a good longbow, Waywatcher can tear through the bulky targets harder than anyone. Can't say that here though, the redditors with there "lol dorfs so manly xD fuck elfs!!!" meme can't differentiate gameplay and story.
Hagbane needs buffs though.
The point is that trinket will mitigate less than 10 damage by the time you're dead from slave and clanrats hitting you. It's protecting you from something that does virtually no damage to you in the first place.
FINALLY, SOMETHING GOOD.
Bummer. I have a fireball staff with split shot, attack speed on kill and health on hit. Would that be better to use? I've literally never played BW; I kinda figured attack speed would be good, does it just not apply to staff or what?

I wish I could exchange them for a Brace of Pistols
charge attack has momentum and engages 120 degrees in front of you
it's the only reason I use it over anything else, if only the overhead were capable of hitting more than one thing
If you're relatively close to the other players, you did fine. If you have like 200 more damage taken and 700 less damage dealt you're fucking up.
Try to land within 100 points of the leader in both categories and you can feel like you carried your fair share of the weight.
it depends on your staff. With conflag you can rack nice damage killing stray rats while running but that's not really helping your team that much.
With beam you'll be missing that damage so it shouldn't bother you that much.
I generally try to take care of sneaky trashmob flanks with my beam staff M1 and point out and beam specials if possible, but I just feel useless because there's always someone instagibbing shit as Dwarf or Knight.
Generally as BW you should be doing most of the damage and probably most of the killing in addition to taking very little damage. If you are doing shit damage as a BW and taking a lot of damage you are doing something wrong.
On anything below nightmare you should be top of the kills and damage. Nightmare and above you are mainly a damage dealer with everyone else sweeping up the nearly dead rats with one hit. That doesn't mean you won't have the most kills thought. And again you shouldn't be taking damage.
Your role is to destroy swarms and soften hard targets. So long as you are doing those two things you won't have to worry about dragging the team down.
I would say switch to conflag staff. Your normal attack can kill anything that isn't a special or stormvermin in one hit on anything that isn't nightmare or cata, and it pierces two or three rats. So if you have a few lined up they all get taken out with one or two shots depending on the difficulty. Its also more effective than your secondary attack when you have them funneled through a doorway. Its less heat and fires off faster.
With beam you can:
- just instantly pew pew few times and go back to fighting melee (with vent on hit weapon you'll be able to shotgun again after 2-3 strikes).
- It's just easier to get out of a sticky situation.
- Beam's RMB does CRAZY damage to Ogre with a strength potion (comparable to WH Brace of Pistols) and with a strength potion you can clear waves like crazy with your LMB (for those people that didn't know, spells are also affected by potions).
- RMB is also good for instantly stunlocking specials so your teammates with handguns can take care of them.
- takes loads of time to cast, can be interrupted.
Sure, LMBs can kill single rats but those aren't any issue for your team anyway. Your LMBs will be useless most of the time during waves because you'll most likely have your teammates in front of you.
- Conflag isn't as good as Beam for taking down the Ogre as well.
- Conflag's LMB isn't as good for specials because it's a projectile instead of hitscan beam that stunlocks your target.
tldr beam is better
>Running HoM 3t2g
>Had a shitty run with specials and chests but persevered
>Had an ogre spawn on the rooftop and everyone managed to not get knocked off
>Holding one of the grims
>Running towards the lift up to the tower, full health
>Character suddenly falls over
>THE WITCH HUNTER'S GONE
>Party wipes on the way up the tower
>oh boy a trinket it's been a while since i got one what will it be
>2% chance to poison
Hey guys I've been maining Witch Hunter lately, I was wondering what the best way to play him is.
Lately I've been going zwei for dealing with crowds, as my teams tend to only have one dwarf/soldier. I go crossbow if we need special killing, or pistols if I want to shoot stuff.
Any good metrics by which I should consider my performance?
I'm often on top as far as kills go but there's always someone with a gun that puts up more damage in total.
I've only been playing pugs on Normal though so that might change?
I like Beam Staff since it lets me do crowd control and help handle ogres better than fireball or conflag imo.
Beams explosion is the fastest way to kill a special if you've gotta kill it by yourself, but most of the time you're just supposed to tag & stunlock them with beam so your teammate with handguns can rek it. No need for you to overheat.
When I play Witch Hunter my damage dealt is low but I'm top kills, headshots, stormvermin, and usually lowest damage taken. I think decapitations don't count as full damage, please somebody chime in here.
>hom with pubs
>at 2nd grimoire , healed only once and at full health
>despite not even being in a wave i get killed and 2 people get downed trying to save me
>only elf has healing item
>oh she has the healing spread trinket so we can all reset our downs
>elf fucks of to the second grimoire and heals there out of range
>get hit in the back by a small rat and die
>they leave a retrievable tome behind
i fucking hate this game sometimes
Topping most metrics means I'm not doing it wrong at all. Looking at your damage dealt I'm certainly doing something differently though.
What loadout are you running and what map was that?
The only one of those stats that matter is damage taken. High kills and low damage just means you're scoring the last hits on a lot of shit, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it definitely isn't an accurate measurement of how useful you're being.
>- Fixed an issue causing Ratling Gunners to track players through walls causing bots to infinite take cover and not progress.
Fucking thank God. Now I can play with bots instead of these god damn niggers that run off in every direction no matter what level or difficulty I play. Just gonna play hard with bots from now on.
Hmm, I'm playing NM with a blue rapier with no damaging traits (push and scavenger). Hammer Bros are rocking exotics with berserking. Soldier uses repeater and Dwarf uses drakes. I'm on crossbow duty. Not sure this is enough to skew it that badly though.
if you get aa red hat rom loot is it always one for the hero that you were playing with?
>kuber and dwarf taken
>play witchhunter for a change
>roll 7/7 and get a red hat
Not public games and they wanted to play with their new toys. It just stuck because I mainly play BW and am the most alert with spotting specials. I'm perfectly aware that brace is the best ranged option, shame mine is still white.
Don't know why you guys get so upset with stuff anyway.
>first ever nightmare mode on HoM
> one grim and all 3 tomes
>friend has been feeling down because always gets shit loot
>I roll an orange crossbow with bloodlust
>he gets a fucking white mace
So I ran Cata TWR for about 10 hours straight and didnt get a single helm. I usually rolled something like a 2 but once, yes only once, I rolled a 5 for a legendary hammer with shit perks. Someone please kill me.
Keep to the cave wall on the right and go fast
Get the door open and use bombs
There is a health stash under the stairs past the door
Get the potion of speed that is always in that room, use it at the top of the stairs and get the first barrel in before things can spawn
Do the rest of the barrels
lmao, a good AoE wizard is important.
When the tank spawns go back to solid ground and kill it
>use exploits for 10h staight
>I-I just keep playing casually
Yea it was stupid but I was listening to a audiobook while exploiting and just got carried away. kek.
I did it bros, there is yet one casual who lives in this general.
What's the likelihood of CE users getting caught based on fucked grim counts and weird data? Surely some of this is leaving a digital trail. Had some inf ammo fag ruin a run with cowadoody handgun spam. I want these guys gone.
I can't believe he just throws these on the ground after firing them
download the latest table from here
and here are instructions even americans would understand
best map to farm it is horn
change your speed to something like 5 then run and get first grimore, leave the cellar and start flying towards the tower then drop down to the carriage
you gotta change ur grim value ~15s after picking it (from 1 to 7)
>not getting your oranges legit
>not having one orange of almost every weapon in the game after putting in 100 hours into the game
>running the risk of getting banned
Just play for fun, the loot will come automatically.
I'll play however I want you fucking cunt. Seriously, why does it bother people that someone is cheating or exploiting? If you're enjoying the game with your green items that's alright let me enjoy it as well.
My blue ones were pretty worthless anyway. I'm just glad to have them
>playing a game with the most ridiculous loot system
>for 100 hours to get oranges
>most of which are shit
At worst they might remove all the gear. I think they won't even bother.
Rupture is fucking shit.
>drink strength potion
>strength potion + brace of pistols do shitload of damage to your teammates
>instagib your teammates
>still no exotic trinkets
What the fuck
Settra, Gotrek & Felix, and the bitch in the picture.
>not skelly knight
